personal property of (Couch, dresser, and Refrigerator) on the move day, but on
the contract nothing was list for any damages done to Mrs*** personal property
Our contract stated that you must list items damaged in move in order for it to
be claimed as a damage this contract was email and viewed on 6/16/and view
in hand from our movers on 7/15/She email us about this matter back on 7/17/So, our corporate office had to work with the claimWhich takes several weeks, due to items not being listed on the contract
So, we can
proceed with a submitting a claim with Mrs ***Unfortunately, we explained damages being paid
cent per pound and/or work to fix damages on personal propertyBelow is what our company is working to achieve
Damage Items:
- Couch- Paying for a third party contractor to fix it(Customer Company)
- Dresser-Scheduled for a re-stain job and to be fixed by third party contractor.(WVfurniture)
- Refrigerator- New Doors have been ordered.(SearDirect)
Both parties agreed to the services
over the phone and at the signing of the contractMrs*** was made
aware of everything about his move, before our company departedWe explained
overage amounts, damages being paid cent per pound, and items will be fix if fixable

On Monday, September 19th, 2016 Speedymen came to my house to transport my piano. I do not feel that they were properly prepared to move my piano. In the past I have had professional piano movers move the piano with a dolly and straps securely wrapped around the piano and attached to the dolly. When moved, the piano was also covered with a heavy moving blanket. The two men from Speedymen had a small flat dolly with no sides. They did not have straps or moving blankets to protect my piano. They proceeded to get the piano upright onto the dolly and out my front door onto the porch. It was then that the dolly slipped out from under the piano and the piano crashed two stairs down onto the cement sidewalk. The movers did not appear to hold the piano securely or try to catch the piano. When the piano fell to the ground, there was no reaction from the movers. Additionally, there was no apology. They just said, “oh don’t worry, we’ll have our wood smith come and fix it”. They took a few pictures and proceeded to put the piano into their truck. I also hopped into the truck and took pictures of my own. I expressed how frustrated I was and they still did not give an apology. They really seemed like they did not care about me or my piano or the service that they were providing. After the movers left with my damaged piano, I called the local office in Brookfield, WI and spoke to their manager. While he did seem more apologetic, I still did not get the reaction that I wanted. I was advised to send pictures and then call the Headquarters office. I called the headquarters office and still little to no reaction of my extreme frustration. They just said that they would be contacting a wood smith to come out and fix it. I told them that I basically paid for them to damage my furniture and that I didn’t want to pay for service. But if I didn’t pay for service they wouldn’t come out to fix my piano.
That is where we are at right now. I am still waiting on them to follow up on their promise to fix my piano. It will be interesting to see what quality work they will provide.
I do NOT recommend this company to anybody. They were careless and unsympathetic!

My husband and I have both tried contacting g and t. They have not returned our phone calls. We have gone as far as to take them to court. When the sheriff tried to deliver the court summons, the address Speedymen.com gave us for g and t, was not a business address. Also the Atlanta address for Speedymen.com was not a deliverable address. Therefore my husband and I are left with only the Wisconsin branch to deal with.
We need a legit address, name of person to contact, and phone number for the atlanta branch of speedy men as well as g and t. [redacted] is not a legal business address for g and t.

Movers was great from start to finish. This are two times using this company for our corporate moves. I would not trade them in for any other company. Very affordable I must say.. Thanks Again SpeedyMen Movers

I have your proposal or offer to pay $1,562.00 for the damage on all my furniture, you offered I think it was $120.00 on the chest of drawers alone, a piece that was almost completely destroyed.  As you know, the repair on the chest of drawers alone is almost $1,300.00.  When I spoke to [redacted], he personally instructed me to call a repairman here in Nashville.  I explained to Jay I have found a needle in a haystack repair person that had been doing this for over 21 years for one of Nashville premier furniture stores, a true professional and he was going to charge less that the man that Jay instructed me to call, which you probably know, his quote was anywhere from $3,500 to $5,000.00 or more, he would not give me a ceiling.  My man was much less than this, and I had complete faint in him!  He also called Jay personally and told him WHY the repairs would be what they are.  I was surprised he could fix the furniture for what he quoted!
I have not been able to move the furniture and am paying $145.00 per month to keep it stored in it's damaged condition.  Obviously, I could not even look at that chest of drawers and the dining room table with that level of damage. Your weight rates are off, as the dining room table and the china cabinet is extremely heavy, but a weight quote does not help me anyway, pennies on the dollar are not helpful to me at all, especially when your boss, Jay, told me who to contact to repair the furniture, which I did, and I am giving you a quote that is less than the man Jay instructed me to contact.  
I will be more than happy to write a detailed follow up to ripoff report and both Revdex.com branches, and let them know you are dealing with this extreme damage in good faith, if you will be reasonable and use the man I found and let him repair this furniture.  Before I reach out to someone to help me with this situation, I thought I would respectfully again ask for your help in repairing these pieces.  I am not asking for any replacement of anything, just to have them fixed, and you know how badly these pieces are damaged.  I was very lucky to find someone who would repair them, as I was turned down by several people saying they could never replicate the gloss mirror finish on the table that has scrapes and places all over the sides and top.  The chest of drawers was determined to be a total loss by several furniture people and my guy said he could fix that as well, so, before I seek outside assistance, I am once again requesting your serious help on getting these pieces fixed, $1,560.00 simply will not fix these items, it's that simple.

If this company is not responsible then why did they ask me to send pictures to their claims department. Also, why were we not told they contract out.  I was never notified someone else would be moving my things.  All correspondence have been done through speedymen.com as they had told me to.  
 
If a company contracts out that generally means they have some sort of relationship with the company.  Several times I was given non working email addresses, I was hung up on, and no one was ever able to give me an answer.  I was also never given a phone number for the company who moved me.  I was told each time they would contact me.
I just want my things fixed and reimbursed for the damage they have done.

The company did send a Woodsmith, however they did not provide him any of the pictures showing the damage, only a list of items.
The list was not all inclusive, in addition the company made the decision how much time the individual could spend on the repairs, therefore not allowing sufficient time.
Our 5 months old leather couch, the leather is scraped off on one side, is still not repaired.
The offer of one hour free moving time is a nice geasture, I would never hire this company again. I rather have a refund for one hour.

schedule someone to come out I guess timing didn't work so gave her a credit $85 for the inconvenience. We scheduled a wood smith to come out there and/a leather repair company to resolve her issues.
