I booked a short trip with my partner in August to Houston from Latrobe PAWe were to leave at 430, catch a layover in Chicago at 7, and were to land in Houston at pmOur first flight was delayed until 630, so we were concerned about definitely missing our connectionWe called spirit customer service to see what we can do about it and were cryptically told that there would be an "option" given when we landedI told the lady that I did not want to be stuck in Chicago overnight so if the option wasn't another flight, that I would want to reschedule the trip (a completely reasonable request)The lady said that there would definitely be a flight because they were going to delay the connectionWe felt better and proceeded to go on our tripUnfortunately, we were either lied to or the airline decided to move the connection back to the original time, because the plane was not in the terminalAlong with other people, we were told we would have to wait until 9pm the following day to get to Houston, leaving us in Chicago for over hours, all for a trip that was to be daysWhen I found another flight leaving for Houston through another carrier, the customer associate claimed that the could not get us on that plane and or try to find another alternativeWe ran to the terminal where delta had a plane leaving in an hour, which we purchased tickets for 600$ totalI understand that was our choice to buy the tickets but when I spoke with customer service, I was given 50$ credit towards another spirit flightWhen I asked to speak with a manager I was deniedI then sent a complaint through email, and was again told that I should have been in Chicago an hour before my flight (obviously out of my control)I again asked for a manager or someone higher in authority and was again deniedAs someone who has worked all through college in retail, I have never felt that I had the authority to deny a customer from speaking to a manager, even if I thought the manager wouldn't help the situation I still would always allow the customer have their voice heardThis company is a scamI have never been treated so poorly

Worst customer service I have ever experienced with an airline in my lifeAnd I have flown multiple different airlinesIn the past you could only get through to an actual person in another country & now at this point I have found no way to even access an actual human for customer serviceThe 9$ fair club is an absolute scam Due to excessive baggage fee's by the end of your trip you don't end up saving anything with the membership

Beyond Terrible! I flew from Detroit to Fort Myers Florida over Christmas Spirit over booked the flight They asked for volunteers to give up their seats for free round trip vouchers to anywhere that Spirit flies I sat in the airport all day when I should have been on vacation, I tired to use my free round trip vouchers and Spirit only allows one vouchers per day, so I could not use my flight anytime any other person used a voucher!!! This is not what the ticket people stated and it is very deceiving to the customers who graciously give up their seats

We flew Spirit Airlines for the FIRST and LAST time in NovemberThey charge if your luggage is a pound over and unlike most airlines, their weight limit is pounds, not We arrived back at our destination minutes early only to have to wait AN HOUR AND HALF for our luggage because flights had landed and they didn't have enough grounds crew working to unload them! When we finally got the luggage we just grabbed them and leftA 15-minute walk to the parking garage and then getting out and a hour drive homeIt was late and so we didn't unpackThe next morning I find a BIG crack in my hard side luggageI only got to use this once beforeSo I contacted them to have them tell me that I should have checked my luggage right away and I had only had a FOUR hour window to file a complaint! How many people check that closely? Unless there is a gaping hole, would you have noticed it? They are rude and uncaring and now I have to purchase a new suitcase at the cost of at least $Tray tables the size of first class letters and you have to pay for EVERYTHING on these flightsNever flying this crappy airline againIt cost us more with extra fees for the pound or two over on luggage and the broken luggage so that it cost as much to just fly another airlineBesides other airlines pay for their mistakesI have NOTHING to say good about SPIRIT AIRLINES! Travelers beware!

Worst airline everThey scheduled a flight with no plane availableLeaving people stranded for hours

I bought tickets on priceline.com for this airline, and there was no way to check in online, no confirmation code, nothingThis was a quick flight, one person, and very very early in the morning to where I had to get up at am I ended up arriving about minutes prior to the flight time and tried to print my boarding pass [redacted] which it told me I could notI went to a kiosk, they told me I had to be there minutes early and there was nothing they could doI told them I had no problem in making it, just give me something to get through securityThey refused (which I've never had happen before) I had a friend on the flight already there, he told me they had not started boarding yetI was checking no bags so there was no inconvenience to the airline or other passengers At such an early time in the morning security was very light, there would have been zero issues other than their customer-unfriendly policy The person wouldn't talk to me further and threw me into a line for their customer service which was filled with other people in the same situation I found out that they oversell their flights, and use this minute trick to knock people out, being told that I could fly out tomorrow morning (Which I could not) for an $fee I asked for transfers, they said the soonest transfer was the next morning as well Being unable to print my own boarding pass which would have stopped this from happening, then this nonsense when they hadn't even begun boarding with an oversold flight is a scam at bestI will never fly this airline again and will tell everyone I know to avoid

Ruined one vacation by delaying the flight until it was ultimately cancelled, which caused us to miss our cruise They told us that they didn't have a crew to fly the planeTook hours of trying to communicate with them to finally receive a refund, but were still out the money for the cruise and connecting flight Almost impossible to reach any live person in regards to customer service, unacceptable customer service if you do finally manage to reach someoneNo one had any actual knowledge of flight conditionsLost bags on a separate trip after again being delayed hours when there was very fair weather in both locationsVery unethical business operations, and it's hard to understand how they are allowed to operate as a legitimate company

Website was down had to call their number to check in for flight I have bad knees and request extra leg room when I can afford it I stressed over and over to the lady on the phone that I wanted extra leg room I said center, aisle, or window did not matter as long as I had extra leg room for the lowest price Communicated width of seat was NOT a problem when she offered wider seat Took her forever fumbling around to find a seat with what she thought was extra leg room For the umpteenth time stressed if it had extra leg room, as their seats are torture devices I get on the plane to find out I paid extra for NO extra leg room just an empty space to my left...near exit door Sat for hours with my knees aching and pressed against the seat in front of me It was torture going through that for hours especially when I took the necessary precautions to avoid it Have not received a refund as they said they need to do a call review Also submitted an email compliant From research online seemed email was the best way to get it resolved

Worse Customer Service Worse Automatic Phone System Naughty Gesture for (Hump day Advertisement) No Direct Phone Numbers Difficult to use miles Advertisement Dirty and Small Airplanes (you get what you pay for) Rude Flight Attendants and not well dressed like other airlines Website is slow and hardly works - mins for password recovery If you are lucky and get someone on the phone they are from over seas and hard to understand They charge for every single little thingI am surprised they don't have a bathroom fee yet

Mr [redacted] My name is [redacted] and I was going to be a passenger [redacted] one of your flights before I had to cancel it My luggage was sent to Myrtle Beach on Friday the 24th and was promised to be returned to the airport at 930am on Saturday the 25th The issue is, when I showed up at 10am on Saturday after driving from Alexandria, VA to Baltimore, MD, my luggage had not only not arrived but I was told that I had to wait an additional hours for the flight to land to get my luggage After wasting hours of my time, my luggage wasnâ t even on the plane to begin with after being told it would beI filled out a form that one of your employees gave me and was told that they would deliver my luggage to my house Sunday morning the 26th I received a call from â Tammiâ in luggage claims and was told that my luggage had finally arrived but they would not deliver it to me since I wasnâ t on the flightObviously, I wasnâ t happy being lied to twice by then and having to drive a third time to Baltimore from Alexandria Upon arriving at the airport on Sunday at 12pm there was absolutely no one at the ticket desk, no one answering the employeeâ s door when I knocked, and no one answering the phones when I called over a literal times Four hours later an employee had shown up for work and was able to hand me my luggage from behind the employeeâ s door where I heard another employees laughing about my situation Needless to say, as a disabled combat veteran, I have never been treated so poorly in my lifeNot even in combat I will not be flying this airlines ever againI will be expecting a full refund from Spirit and I will be sending this information to the Revdex.com, CNN, and local news

Horrible customer serviceWhen I asked the gal for the name if the department or person who could help me, her response was "spirit.com"That's not a person!!!! Then when I talked with a manager she told me to go to a computer so she can help me find what I was looking for: "go to the flight package you went to beforeThe destination doesn't matter neither does the amount of daysYou paid $525"! FYI: I did not pay thatWhat is wrong with your employees!? What happened to good customer service?

Booked a flight for my 30th birthday to Miami on Carnival CruiselineUpon arriving at the terminal AHEAD OF TIME MIND YOU the airline made no attempt to allow any passengers checking in the opportunity to even board the plane stating that it had already leftThere were over passengers that were not allotted access to board the plane and it was well within it's minute time lapseThey wouldn't make any accommodations to even assist with transferring passengers to connecting flights until much later dates, nor would they refund anything to those strandedI will NEVER fly this airline and I will give it as many bad reviews as possible!

After a whole week of headaches and my entire vacation being ruined, I can say I'm beyond dissatisfied with the way this airline conducts its business practicesI will never be booking with them again regardless of their "cheap flight tickets"All of their employees are outsourced, lack any type of human empathy, follow a completely scripted/mono-tone voice, and take no responsibility for inaccurate information given to its customersThey are complete scammers First, I booked a flight to Costa Rica, and that same day spoke to a customer service representative to see if I could call back the following day to extend my flight one more day and was told I couldWhen I proceeded, I was informed I was going to be charged a "change fee" on top of the extra flight cost, which I was not informed of before, so I decided to leave it as it was Then, I found out there was a hurricane headed to my travel destination the day of my flight, so I called to cancel it because I felt like my life was at risk, I was told they didn't know anything about the hurricane and that the flight was still flying out despite all the news channels declaring it was going to hitI was told I was going to be charged 100$ for flight canceling (50$ per person) and so I postponed canceling it, minutes later I call back to cancel and the cancelation fee had bumped up to 100$ per person (which they did not state would happen)I asked to speak with a manager and was put on hold for minutes and all I got was a supervisor that made no accommodations and I ended up paying 200+ to cancel my flight even though weather was a major issue Finally, I received a spirit credit of 315$ out of 500$+ that I had originally spentI was upset but It was better than nothing, until a few hours later when I tried to book a hotel and car, but found out that I couldnt use my points for that unless I ALSO book a flightwhich again, was not told to me I then proceeded to book the cheapest flight ticket I could find (which I did not even get on because we just drove) all this so I can use my credits to book the hotelAbsolutely ridiculous Despite being given wrong information multiple times through out the week, they took no credit for their wrong doings, and ultimately I was the one that paid the price for their mistakes, and scammed through out the entire processThanks Spirit airlines for being the worst airline company to do business with!

Spirit airlines Business practice are unethicalI purchased a roundtrip ticket to Seattle to depart on June 24th and return on July 5thI could not make the departure flight, due to a family emergencyI purchased a one way ticket on American Airlines for the 25thNow, when I checked with Spirit to confirm my departure from Seattle, they stated it was canceled because I did not make the 24th departureI explained my situationWith my roundtrip fare of $ Spirit's only option was the purchase of a new flight/ticket.I was calling and checking on my return flight on the 26th of June and my return was for July 5thI was not offered to reinstate my seat which I had a boarding passI elected to book with another airlinesI feel they took my money and offered nothingThe customer service dept is awful I elected not to fly on Spirit for my return to Houston or ever again

On July 17, I purchased two seats on a Spirit Airlines flight scheduled for Jan 3, departing from San Juan, PR and arriving in Orlando, FL (Flight 884)I also purchased two seats on a flight scheduled for the same day departing Orlando, FL and arriving in Chicago, IL (Flight 912)The total paid for those tickets was $On 12/30/14, I logged onto Spirit Airline's website to add baggage to our reservation and was informed that there was a schedule change that would force us to leave on 1/5/or 1/7/15; two days prior to our scheduled departure or four days after our scheduled departureUpon researching Spirit Airline's flights and cancellations, I learned that the flights I purchased tickets for did indeed depart on 1/3/and were not cancelled or rescheduled at all Their customer service agents are about as useful as tickets for their flights They did nothing that couldn't be done through their website After several days and several lengthy phone calls to Spirit, we were partially refunded After several more calls we were completely refunded; however, we were never compensated for the unexpected three day hotel accommodations, transportation, or lost wages And one can imagine how pricey it was for us to find flight tickets with another carrier on such short notice This airline has zero concern for their customers I urge you to save your time, energy, and money and fly with a carrier that will actually honor your purchase and get you to where you are going

Easily the worst customer service experience I've had in decades of flyingFlight canceled for sketchy reasons, actual flight was uncomfortable due to smallest seat space in the industry, lost luggage, next to ZERO customer service in attempting to retrieve the bagWhen I tried to dispute the credit card claim for the checked bag, they fought meIncompetence and amoralityI highly suggest avoiding them at all costs

Disgusted with this airlineI feel robbed, cheated, lied to and quite literally question not only their management (or lack of) but their honesty if anyYou will end up losing money by purchasing a ticket from an airline that is so far behind and too wide spread out that it relies on poor communication and deception to sadly cover it's own tracksOh and not to mention you can throw any hope of arrival/departure time out the window
