Star Office Supply Reviews (2003)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.   Problem: This is the second time that I have contacted you about this complaint. I was offered $100 credit for referring anyone to Cincinnati Bell by Scott B.. I referred my mother [redacted]. But we have yet to receive a credit. Someone responded to the complaint that all I had to do was call and give mine and my mother's address and the credit would be applied but I have tried to do that twice but all I get   Desired Outcome: I just want to see a hundred dollar credit on both accounts

I understand completely what I have now, however I never signed a contact, I was never informed is being given a promotion for 12 months. Whatever Cincinnati Bell sales Rep that was in the area promoting fioptics told me about different packages available. I was at the time with time warmer cable and switched due to the package deal he quoted. I assure you this rep never mentioned anything regarding this being for 12 months only, I would have never changed companies because all I need is internet which is the only thing required for my company I work for. The sales Rep called me to confirm everything so considering the calls are recorded the maybe that call can be reviewed as well as the same call when your  technician decided to come out due to internet issues and changed my speed on his own. I never once asked any of Cincinnati Bell's employees to change anything for me. I never wanted or needed smithing other than what I was given when I set service up. Yes it's your word against mine however it's still s matter of fairness. Yes you are correct I do have working service but if I can't perform my job due to the connection issues I felt that it was ok to contact my internet provider for the issue. I never wanted to cause an issue. I found out I had more speed than required for my company when the rep stated that I was only getting half the speed of what I had so she sent a tech out. I just ask if you can review the calls you then will see I never requested anything more and your sales Rep never mentioned a12 month promotion.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.   This is still NOT addressing the issue, I am aware of a past due amount. It it appears they’re still charging me more money because they’re are acting like I just ordered new service. I want a call from corporate and explain this and get my bill to a reasonable cost, not 160.00 as I was told by a representative

RE: ###-###-####,[redacted]

Dear [redacted],

This is in response to your rebuttal.  Our records indicate that a technician was at your location on 02-24-15 and he changed everything possible to stabilize your internet and keep your speeds around 3M.

At this point, if you are still not happy with Zoomtown you may want to consider other options for internet.

Cincinnati Bell is focusing on upgrading all areas to Fioptics and you will receive advertisement when it is available in your area.

Cincinnati Bell does apologize for any inconvenience.

Cincinnati Bell considers this complaint closed.

RE: [redacted]

Cincinnati [redacted] is responding to your Revdex.com complaint.

I have reviewed your account and I apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced...

in getting your service issues resolved.

Per our records your service was restored yesterday 5/5 after the vendor meeting and a $20 credit was issued to your account. I had a Senior Repair Tech review your account as well and she issued an additional $40 credit for one month of service. This was given in addition to the $20 credit for time without service and inconvenience.

This adjustment has made your balance due on 5/16 $43.35.

If you have any questions regarding this balance or your bill you can reach Customer Service at ###-###-####.

It is never Cincinnati [redacted]’s intention to upset or frustrate our customers. On behalf of Cincinnati [redacted] I apologize that we have done so in this matter.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
The response from Cincinnati Bell was insubstantive and patronizing.  This information was already known and is irrelevant.  I agreed to pay $34.99 per month for Internet access services, not $35.35 or any other amount.  The business's failure to properly plan for their expenses to operate and maintain their facilities is not my fault and that cost burden should not be placed on me or any of their other customers.
Regards,
[redacted]

I have sent a request to our engineering team to see when Fiber will be available at your address. I have also sent a request to the foreman in field operations to if the equipment you currently have is going to be upgraded for the congestion issues. I have rated your service at 14.99 a month for...

the internet until we can get this resolved. I will let you know as soon as I get feedback.
Cincinnati Bell is committed to providing our customers with outstanding service. We apologize for any inconvenience we’ve caused you, and appreciate the opportunity to better serve you going forward.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I do not accept the business response of the matter being fixed. The credit in April was giving to us for the March bill by a manager. We were told to call back the following month to receive credit for the April bill once the cord was placed in the ground. The cord was never put into the ground when we called back in May. We were told that a credit could not be made to out account until the problem was resolved. Another appointment was made or the cord to be placed into the ground. When the appointment day came and went I called again. I was then told that my bill needed to be current before I could receive credits. I explained that this made no sense as I was not completely receiving full service. I asked for another appointment and spoke with another manager who told me that a credit in the form of 71% of my bill would be credited as that was the percentage credited in April for March bill. I called a week later once the third appointment date was missed to place the cord in the ground. I was gain told that no credit be done until the problem was resolved. After being on the phone with customer service for 2 hours, I was eventually told that nothing could be done until the cord was put into the ground. The cord was finally placed in the ground May 20th almost three months from the original call on February 28th. This is when I called and asked for the credit to my account. This was the first time I was told no credit could be giving. The rep explained to me that no note was in my account for this credit of 71% each bill for April and May. I asked the rep to investigate my case by collecting my calls and listening to them. I advise them that they would hear on more than 10 occasions since April 9th that myself or husband were told that we were to receive a 71% credit for our bill and that it was being put in the notes. I would like someone at Cincinnati bell to sit down and listen to the calls of the promises we we're made regarding the credit to our bill.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  Again, if I paid $76.54 to cover services from October14, 2014 to November 13, 2014, I do not believe that you can charge me $95.99 for only eight days of partial services (November 14, 2014 to November 21, 2014) when you cut off my services incorrectly.  I cancelled [redacted] per your request so you could straighten out my bill.  [redacted] has verified this.  Now you say you do not pro rate if services are terminated.  You talk in circles. In your earlier response you indicated that you were going outside of your corporate policy to pro rate the final bill then how can the final bill for only eight days of incomplete services still be $95.99?  I did not even receive the complete package of services and you still want to charge full price.  Why didn't any of your sales representatives inform me of your so called "corporate policy" to not pro rate services when I requested services?  It seems to me a very very bad business practice to not deliver full services as sold to me, change the price after the fact, institute "corporate policy" to not pro rate, then terminate my partial services one week into my next billing cycle and then say that I owe you for the entire month!  This is a money making racket and certainly not about delivering services at the "quoted" price and then send me to [redacted].  Very inconvenient business practice for consumers!
Regards,
[redacted]

On the "Notes" section of the contract it states: - All prices and rates are exclusive of any surcharges and taxes. The account has had the correct contract rates since the beginning of service. The only part missing was the 1 month free of service. The request has been submitted for the 1 month ($129.97). All other charges are correct and valid.

Revdex.com: think We are waiting for the results of the [redacted] engineering survey. On a preliminary basis, they they can server this site. If that falls thru then we will probably move our two phone numbers to our cel phones and use [redacted] dsl for internet.

Cincinnati Bell is responding to the rebuttal that you
filed with the Revdex.com regarding the bill message for the promos
expiring.

I have forwarded this information to our IT group and to
the product manager to express to them the root cause of the Revdex.com complaint that
you filed to see if they are able to make any updates to the system.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

After reviewing the account, the customer's services were repaired this morning (09/13/16), seven days after the call was made to schedule a repair. I processed a 1 week credit for the home phone, Internet, and television services (not including taxes, fees, and equipment charges) on the customer's account totaling $30.47. I called the contact number on the original submission and left a voicemail to inform the customer of the credit balance on the account.
