Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records indicate that a file was placed into our office in the name of [redacted] (ss# ending in [redacted]) on 12-29-2012 for services at [redacted]. We show that a demand and validation letter was mailed to the consumer at the address provided by our client on 4-2-2013. We show that no contact was made with this consumer. We did ask for any validation documents from our client today and were informed that these documents were not available, we have closed the file and forwarded a closure letter to this consumer at the address provided in the Revdex.com complaint. We have returned this file to [redacted] as disputed and we have ordered deletion of the credit reporting, confirmation number for the deletion is [redacted]. The original [redacted] file number was [redacted], and the consumer is welcome to contact [redacted] with any future questions regarding this file. Again, the file is closed, a closure letter has been sent and deletion has been ordered to all credit reporting agencies.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding the calling of a wrong number. Our investigation shows that we did receive the phone number of ###-###-#### as a contact number for a [redacted]. We do not show that any notification was provided that we may be calling a wrong number. The number has been removed from our system and placed into our internal do not call list. We certainly apologize for the wrong number calls made.

Regards,

Review: I paid a collections on 2/2/16 and was told that it would be taken off my credit in a minimum of 2 weeks a max of 30 days. They also told me I would receive a letter within 30 days. It has been a month and a half and I have not received a letter and this collection is still on my credit. I am trying to buy a mortgage and this is the only thing holding me up. They took money and now are not sending me the letter or taking this off my credit like they said they would. The lady I spoke with promised me that it would be taken care of in 30 days max. This company is awful. I have been waiting on hold for almost 30 minutes on a Saturday. I do not think they are even in because all of their other numbers say they are not available.Desired Settlement: I want a letter emailed to me this Monday morning so I can send it to the 3 credit bureaus and clear this up. I need to get my pre approval done this week. I also want this taken off my credit ASAP.

Stellar

Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records

indicate that we did receive a Century Link account in our office on 11-6-2015

for a [redacted]. Our records indicate that the account in our office from Century

Link was placed with a delinquency date of 9-27-2013. Stellar sent two letters

to the Mr. [redacted] on 11-10-2015 & 3-4-2016. Our investigation shows that

the account in our office was submitted for credit reporting on 1-3-2016. On 2-1-2016

Mr. [redacted] made contact with Stellar and paid a requested settlement in full. On 2-9-2016 the account was submitted to the

credit reporting agencies as settled in full. On 3-15-2016 our Quality

department audited the reporting agencies websites and was able to confirm that

Equifax and Experian are properly reporting the settlement in full. An

additional update was sent to Trans Union on 3-15-2016 to reflect as settled in

full on Mr. [redacted]s behalf, due to the fact that Trans Union is the only

agency still reporting the account as an open collection. Stellar Recovery

follows the Fair Credit Reporting Act and updates the accounts accordingly

based on the consumer stance on the account.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Review: Have repeatedly requested a copy of all billing for the basis of their repeated calls to collect a debt. They will NOT comply and offer to me.

I have received phone calls from ###-###-#### repeatedly - days on end. I've answered before and requested that they provide a statement to me for the billing that they are calling to collect from me. They REFUSE to do so. So, if they refuse to provide an itemized statement to me, explaining what they are contacting me for - then they need to cease communication altogether. I've also send in (twice) contact forms on their website advising that they need to send a statement to me. Instead, they just continue to call, with no statement provided.Desired Settlement: Provide a detailed, itemized statement explaining all charges that Stellar Recovery has been charged with collecting from me. Once I have a copy of this statement, I expect a call from ONE agent (not an endless cycle of agents that don't know me from [redacted]), to discuss my options for paying.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. ON 01-21-2014, our office did received a [redacted] account in the name of [redacted], will a billing address of [redacted]. Our records indicate that we spoke with the consumer on 02-04 and she indicated she had moved to a place where they did not allow [redacted]. She indicated that she would be discussing the payument options with her spouse. We do not show any request for validation either verbally or in writting. We also show a call on 02-11 and she wouldnt speak with any agent except the original Agent [redacted], who was not available. We have place the file into validation status and will forward documents from [redacted] in the near future. The account will be put on hold during the validation period.

Review: This company called me to collect a debt that was both disputed with the original lender and well outside the [redacted] 7-year collection window. Possibly [redacted] violations as well. These laws exist for a reason.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to put it in writing that 1) they have attempted to collect a debt in full knowledge that it was greater than 7 years old; 2) a short apology; and, 3) a promise that I will not be contacted again.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 05-22-2013, our office did receive a file for collection from a Debt Buyer with the original creditor as [redacted] that showed a charge off date of 06-30-2006. We do have clients that placed these aged files in our office. We are allowed to attempt collections on these aged files, we do not report to any credit reporting agencies, not do we discuss any legal action on the files. Our intent on these files is to see if the consumer has interest in paying their moral obligation , if they have no intentions, the agent will simply close and return the file. It appears we spoke with the onsumer on 1-27-2014 and the consumer said he has no intention of paying the bill, the agent closed the file as "all efforts exhausted." and the file will be returned to the client. There are never been any reporting to a credit reporting agency on the aged debt.

Review: Stellar Collection placed a collection account on my credit report. I have sent them a certified letter asking for validation of the debt, including the following information. What the money you say I owe is for;Verification or copy of any judgment if applicable;Identify the original creditor;Show that you are licensed to collect in my state; andProvide me with your license numbers and Registered Agent.I have received no information from them with regards to this and yet I still have an active collection on my credit report, which recently impacted me when I obtained a new auto loan. I have contacted them and even offered to pay to the account (which I am disputing) just to remove this from my credit report, but they refused to do this. I do not owe them any money and have contacted Comcast and they show my account balance as ZERO.This company is negatively impacting my credit score and has shown zero cause for having a valid reason to be doing so.Desired Settlement: I would like this removed from my credit report ASAP. I will also be following up with the Washington Attorney Generals office as well as the Montana Attorney Generals office. I do not owe this company any money nor have they shown that they should be able to place this collection on my credit report and harm my credit score.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. We have completed our investigation and have reviewed the file history and audited all recordings. On 07-13-2013, our office was assigned a past due ComCast account in the name of [redacted] for services at [redacted]. Our records indicate that we spoke to Mr. [redacted] on 09-13-2013, he indicated that he was willing to pay this bill but insisted that it also be removed from his credit report, the Agent properly instructed Mr. [redacted] that Stellar does not provide a "Pay to Delete" policy for these accounts, that once paid, it would properly be reported as paid in Full to all Credit reporting agencies. Mr. [redacted] also spoke with a manager of Stellar on that date and "Challenged our ability to Delete. He indicated that he would contact ComCast and hung up the phone. We spoke again with Mr. [redacted] on 10-03-2013, again, he insisted that he wanted to pay off this account but also wanted this deleted from his credit, the agent again indicated that we would not delete the credit reporting but would update the status to paid in full. Again, Mr. [redacted] indicated that he would "go about this on another route". and terminated the call with our office. On 10-12-2013, we received notification from ComCast that a payment in full was made on this account, the balance was documented as paid in full and we began to report the file as "paid in Full" to the credit reporting agencies beginning on 10-14-2013. On 10-21-2013, we received a written notification from Mr. [redacted] demanding validation of the debt and a "cease and desist reguest. The file had already been paid in full and returned to Comcast, there was no requirement to provide validation at that point and no contact would be made as the account was closed. Mr. [redacted] never indicated to any agent with Stellar Recovery that he was disputing the account, only that he was willing to pay the account for deletion to the credit reporting agencies, however, in the Revdex.com complaint, he now indicates that the file is disputed. For that reason, Stellar has requested an AUD manual deletion of the credit reporting, confirmation # is [redacted], please allow time for the reporting agencies to process this manual request.

Review: I want to have this company investigated for unethical collection practices.I have on my credit files a debt from this company in the amount of $396.00 .the original creditor states [redacted].I have never had [redacted] services.on top of that I have never received any communication either by mail or phone.also this company has two different dates of 1st deliquency....one from 2010 and the other from 2013....I dont know what they are trying to pull but this is def not my debt whatsoever.Desired Settlement: I would like to have this debt that is not even mine to begin with deleted from all applicable credit files.

Response:

Stellar Recovery has received a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 04-10-2013, our office did receive a [redacted] file for a [redacted], the billing address we were given was [redacted]. The SS# associated with the file ends in [redacted] and the e mail associated with the file was [redacted]. On 06-05-2013, we began reporting this information to the Credit Reporting Agencies. Mr. [redacted] ask about the dates on the credit reporting, the delinquecy date on the report is 2010, the reporting date would be 2013, this is the proper reporting dates on this file. Since Mr. [redacted] stated that he had never had [redacted], our office did attempt to pull Invoice information on this file. It appears the file was opened in March of 2010, for services at [redacted] and it appears that the file was pre-paid in the amount of $1590.96. It then appears that in September of 2010, there was a refund made for the pre-paid service of $1191.54 and the service address was changed to [redacted]. In October of 2010 the service was interrupted due to non payment on the account with a balance of $395.90. Stellar Recovery has closed the file as disputed and "possible fraud" has been alerted to [redacted]. We have ordered total deletion of the credit reporting, our confirmation for this deletion is [redacted]. We have mailed the invoice copies to Mr. [redacted] for review and in case this may be fraudulent. If Mr [redacted] has any additional concerns, I included my business card with the documents forwarded to him or he is welcome to make contact directly with [redacted].

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: I would like to express my concerns for your company reporting

fraudulent information on my credit profile. Since that time, I have

been denied over 10 times for different credit applications (I have

kept record). Furthermore, it seems as if your company does not take

much thought for consumers but only practice unethical tactics in an

attempt to make consumers pay accounts that are not theirs. How can you

report an account to which you are not sure whether the account is

mine? The FCRA states that a company must report accurate

information to the credit bureau. It is clear that you are not sure

because you are asking for information that you should already have

when reporting this fraud account. The account number reporting on my

credit profile is [redacted]. This Company has failed to send the

information as requested because they do not have it. I have never made

a debt with this company and it is illegal what they are doing. They

are reporting a false debt on my credit profile and ruining my credit

worthiness. The FCRA states that they must be sure that the information

they are reporting is accurate and true. At this point, I am demanding

this company cease and desist from reporting this fraud account on my

credit profile. I will not reach out to resolve this again. I plan to

contact a consumer attorney to hold this company accountable for their

violations on my credit report. I have kept careful record. Govern

yourselves accordinglyDesired Settlement: delete fraud account

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a claim filed by Marcus R[redacted] Our investigation shows that a file was placed in our office by [redacted] in the name of "R[redacted] Marcus" (SS # ending in [redacted]) on 7-11-2013 for services at [redacted]. We do show that a letter was mailed to that address but do not show any contact made with the consumer. On 7-21-2015, our records indicate that we were notified by the Credit Reporting Agencies through [redacted] that the consumer notified them that this was a "fraud" account. After that notification, the file was closed as fraud and sent back to our client as a fraud account. All Credit reporting on this file was also ordered to be deleted. We have also ordered a manual deletion request, once we received this Revdex.com notification, confirmation of that request is [redacted]. Once notified by the Credit Reporting Agencies, Stellar Recovery closed the file and returned same to our client.

Review: They allege I opened an account in 2/06. The address was for [redacted] and phone was for [redacted]. Who said they do not have acct # that start with [redacted].

On Feb 14, 2014 I received a letter from Stellar Recovery, INC. saying I owe [redacted] 937.34. I talked to [redacted] @ ###-###-#### ext ###. I called back to tell him the information he gave me was incorrect. The next thing I heard was a dial tone. He recited all my personal information social and everything. I told him I did not open any type of account with any of the companies he named. ([redacted]) He gave me two address which turned out to be [redacted] and phone numbers which turned out to be [redacted]. When I contacted [redacted] they said they did not have any accounts that began with [redacted] and to try discover. I am not sure if this is a scam or what but my main concern as well as complaint is the fact that they have access to my social and other pertinent information. I am beyond concerned and livid of the possibility of my identity being stolen.Desired Settlement: Send me any and all documents and information that pertains to me so that I can destroy them. Also, send me an affidavit stating that if in the future my identity is stolen they will be held liable for the total amount of any and all damages. As well as cease any and all contact with me after the above settlements are met.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 2-4-2014, our office did received a file from a debt buyer, [redacted]. for what they say was a [redacted] credit card charged off in 09-20-2009 in the name of [redacted], SS # ending in [redacted] and a birth date of [redacted]. The address given was [redacted]. A validation letter was sent out on 02-04-2014 to that address and it appears we spoke with the consumer on 02-14-2014. The Agent gave information we had ont his file and our notes indicated that the consumer said she would check with the client and get back to us. All information on this file was given to the consumer. The Revdex.com complaint seems to indicate that the consumer is not aware of this account and may be a fraudulently opened account using her personal inforamtion. We have closed the file as potential fraud and will return it to our client Ms. [redacted] should monitor her credit reports to make sure other files have not been opened in her name and she should also file a police report for her protection. We do not report these files to the Credit Reporting Agenies. All information has been forwarded to our client on this account.

Review: They have an automatic phone system that calls me once a day. I return the calls and they assure me that my number is on their DO NOT CALL LIST.

I have returned their collection calls three times. All three times they told me that my phone number is not in their system. The second time the supervisor told me the calls would stop. The third time that I called I spoke to [redacted] Ext. [redacted], on 2/14/14 at about 10:35 A.M. EST. [redacted] told me it was not the companies fault. He said, "their system must be calling a different number that is being forwarded to my phone." I told him that his company is making the mistake, and that the calls "MUST STOP." He told me his company can not stop the calls because they have no way of knowing what number they are calling, that is being forwarded to my number. [redacted] said go ahead and report it to the Revdex.com because His company is doing nothing wrong.Desired Settlement: I want them to stop calling my phone. They have told me that it is their mistake, but they have not told me that they can fix it. If I do owe someone some money I would be happy to pay it.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. We do have the ability to identify all numbers being called by our system. The phone number of ###-###-#### is not currently in our system nor has it been called by our system. We do not want to call wrong numbers and we would be happy to remove any number that we are calling that are not correct numbers for making contact with our consumers. There has been incidences where a carrier may be forwarding calls to land lines or cell numbers and so the number we have been given isnt the actual number in our system. If Mr. [redacted] continues to get calls, he is welcome to call our office speak with [redacted] at ###-###-####, ext [redacted] or e mail him at [redacted]. We apologize for the calls and will do anything necessary to have the calls stopped.

Review: A year ago my wife and I moved into an small apartment after finishing raising our children, we decided to also change our phone number, very soon after we started receiving phone calls from Stellar Recovery Inc, asking for some person, unknown to us. We answered the calls and informed the collectors that we just got that phone number and new address, and did not know such person. The phone calls continued persistently and some times twice a day, I requested the callers several times to update their records and stop calling our house, they always say they will, but apparently never did, as the calls continue. By now I was some time begging to be left along, or making clear to the callers that my opinion about their mothers will be dramatically improved, if only they cease calling us. The calls, continued, but now via an automated calling system, even more annoying and disrupting; some times they include the option of stop them if we were not the person they were looking for. Even know we always followed the instructions to opt out, the calls continued. Finally after a year, today I'm feed up to the point to take the time to track the company and ask to speak to a supervisor but they would not connect me; So I'm filling this complaint at Revdex.com in the hopes that my wife and I can go back to live in peace.Desired Settlement: I request that my phone number is removed from the collectors list, and the company change their policy and instruct their personnel to stop harassing peaceful and innocent citizens and learn to do their job ( a simple research of the white pages will have save them an enormous amount of time and all the inconvenience to me and my wife).

Business

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. We have investigated and did locate the phone number of ###-###-#### was associated with a file in our office. The phone number was placed in our system on 08-12-2013 and several calls were made to the number since that date. It appears that on 10-07-2013, we did receive an inbound call and were informed that the number was a wrong number and it was porperly removed from our system. We have also placed this number in our do not call list in case the number is ever entered into our systems in the future. Any calls made previous to 08-12-2013, were not made by Stellar Recovery, but if we have the number in our system, there could be other agencies that receive this number for contact for a consumer. We do not want to call wrong numbers and our agents are trained to professionally remove any wrong number on behalf of consumers. We do apologize for this inconvienience, there should be no additional calls made from Stellar.

Regards,

Review: I first discovered Stellar Recovery back in June of 2013 when they magically apearred on my credit report. I contacted them and they stated that they were attempting to collect on a debt from [redacted]. I had utilized [redacted]s' services back in 2010, but when my landlord discovered that I had a satellite dish installed on his property, he demanded that I have it removed. I termed my services with [redacted] and informed them that my landlord wouldn't allow their services. They said that I owed them the remainder of my "committment" at a value of $200 approx. I asked where the paperwork was that my landlord was supposed to sign and they said they didn't have one. DirecTv utilizes this form to alleviate issues such as this. Needless to say, I have been harassed by 2 other agencies prior to Stellar. First, how can a company enter negative information on my credit report with first sending a letter? I spoke with them back in July of 2013, asked them this question and they sent another letter. I told them everything as I stated above and their rep said that I needed to pay, whether in full, or a payment plan. I live on SSDI and cannot/will not pay for something I had no fault in. Secondly, if I even contemplated payin it to get it removed from my credit reports, they said they will not remove said entries. I want Stellar to remove any/all negative information from my credit reports with the 3 major agencies. I also want them to stop calling me. I am medically retired and their calls are extremely annoying!Desired Settlement: Remove the negative tradelines from my credit reports and cease communication with me.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 04-10-2013, Stellar did receive a past due [redacted] billing that dates back to 2010 for Services. Our records indicate that a letter was sent to the address on file on 04-24-2013 which included validation requirments. We do report [redacted] files to the Credit Reporting Agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Our records indicate that we did have two conversations with the consumer and notes indicate that she stated she did not have the ability to repay this debt. The conversation dates are 07-09 and 07-22. Under the FDCPA, *s. [redacted] does have the right to ask us to stop collection efforts, she has indicated per this complaint that she would like us to do this, for that reason, we have closed the file as cease and desist and have sent the file back to our client, [redacted]. We have also ordered deletion of the Credit Reporting, *s. [redacted] will need to allow time for the Credit Reporting Agencies to process this request. If *s. [redacted] has a continued dispute with [redacted], she will need to make contact with them to resolve the dispute. We have closed the file.

Regards,

Review: I have worked with many collection agencies unfortunately and this collection agency was the worst. Some of the workers I have spoke with during my collection process were some of the most unprofessional employees I have ever spoken with. My collection account was paid right away almost as soon as it hit my credit. I expected them to have this information reported to the credit agencies within 2-3 months and receive a copy of my receipt. This information was not taken off my credit/reported to the credit agencies and it took weeks for them to finally send a receipt. I called a million times, left messages for the managers... I had to constantly call. The first call the gentleman said that they should have ready taken it off my credit or showed paid. Then he changed it after speaking with a manager and said that they don't report to the credit agencies after an account is paid I would have to. That is not the company policy. Another lady hung up on me. The next call I kept getting the run arounds. Finally got a manager and was sent to voicemail. Had to keep calling to speak with him which is annoying but fine. One call I called back after being transferred to a manager and the guy said "WHAT WAS HE RUDE TO YOU??!!" So unprofessional. Please companies do not use this agency. They are unprofessional :(. Sorry for mistypes as I am using a cellular phoneDesired Settlement: Deletion of account from credit

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 04-09-2013, Stellar Recovery did purchase a charged off file that was originally a [redacted] Deposit Account. A letter was sent out on 04-10-2013 offering different payment options including a settlement or multiple payments on the balance. On 05-13-2013, we documented that we spoke with the consumer and she indicated that it may take some time but wanted to take advantage of the settlement option. We show that the consumer did pay the settlement amount on 05-31-2013, and that the credit reporting agencies were notified of the settlement and update the credit reporting to show that the file was "settled for less than the amount owed." We show that on 07-09-2013, we received an e mail from the consumer wondering when this would be updated on her credit report and our administrative staff verified that we were reporting correctly to the credit reporting agencies. We also show that a letter was requested to be sent on 07-24-2013 showing that the file was "settled in Full" and our records indicate that it was sent via e mail to [redacted] We have reviewed any recordings we had with this file and there does seem to have been some confusion on the credit reporting. Our policy is to delete the credit reporting if the file is paid in full, our policy on settlements paid is to report to the Credit Reporting agencies of the settlement but deletion is not ordered. Since there may have been some confusion, we have ordered an AUD deletion to the credit reporting agencies on 08-08-2013, confirmation number is 6[redacted]. If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions, she is welcome to call Bob B. Peterson directly at ###-###-####, ext [redacted].

Review: This company made an inquiry on my credit report.

Stellar recovery made an inquiry on my credit report on 5/1/2013 for no apparent reason which is affecting my credit score.I contacted stellar recovery to see why the had made the inquiry and was told that it was a "glitch" not done buy them but to contact trans union & to notify them that it was a "glitch" & that it should be removed.. I called trans union & was told that I needed a letter of deletion from stellar recovery in order for them to remove the inquiry,I then called stellar recovery to see if I can get a letter of deletion since they was the reason the inquiry was done in the first place,a male buy the name of [redacted] said "there's nothing we can do for you, this happened to a whole bunch of people" I then told [redacted] i'm not worried about other people i'm worried about myself, the then repeated there's nothing they can do for me.. I would like a letter of deletion & have the inquiry removed from my credit report.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter of deletion form stellar recovery and the inquiry removed from my credit report.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is aware of the "Hard Inquiry" made by [redacted] Credit Reporting on 05-01-2013. This was an error on their part in regard to report they were generating for our company. [redacted] has assured us that this is being fixed and the "Hard Inquiry" will be removed from any file it reported as such.

Review: I have an old debt with [redacted], from 2008, which was turned over to Stellar Recovery, Inc. There is a discrepancy regarding a $230.00 equipment charge on that bill. I immediately contacted [redacted] and the verified that charge was sent in error but Stellar Recovery has not removed it. One of [redacted]'s customer service representatives told me they even contacted Stellar Recovery to have the equipment charge removed. Stellar Recovery has offered me a "settlement" but won't present it in writing because the error hasn't been fixed. Stellar Recovery claims that it is my responsibility to contact [redacted] has explained to me that that debt is no longer owed to [redacted], and therefore, Stellar Recovery is responsible for rectifying the discrepancy.Desired Settlement: I would like Stellar Recovery to contact [redacted] to settle this issue. As soon as the equipment charge is removed, I will be able to satisfy the debt with the settlement offered by Stellar Recovery. Until this issue is addressed, I will continue to pay the minimum required payment of $10 a month.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry filed by [redacted]. Our records indicate that we did receive a past due billing with [redacted] for a [redacted] on 4-28-2013 for services at [redacted]. The total amount due from records provided by [redacted] show unreturned equipment charges of $230.00 and Services charges in the amount of $228.37. Our records indicate that we have spoken to the Consumer on numorus occations and have received a $10.00 payment on 11-10-2014. The consumer did indicate that he returned the equipment to [redacted] and we offered to settle the Service fee at a discounted price of $131.02 in a lump sum payment, this is the lowest settlement allowed by the client. The agent indicated that we were unable to send a settlement letter on this file until we got [redacted] to confirm that the equipment was returned and adjusted the file to show only service costs. (this was a true statement provided by the agent.) As of this date, [redacted] has not confirmed return of the equpment on this file and has made no contact as suggested in this inquiry. We have placed the file on hold and forwarded a request to validate the equipment has been returned. If [redacted] confirms the return, we will be happy to supply the settlement letter to the consumer based on the new service balance for this file. The consumer is welcome to continue to communicate with the agent handling this file. Todate, [redacted] has not confirmed that the equipment was returned.

Review: This company, without any notice or communication, reported an unknown debt of $188 on my Experian consumer report. Not only that, but their contact info on the report is invalid. I had to use Google to find valid contact information. I have no idea what this debt is, but $188? Really? had they contacted me, I likely would have simply paid them to avoid poor marks on my reports. This company blatantly broke laws outlined in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and I EXPECT this to be made right by me.Desired Settlement: I paid them, unknowing what or who the debt actually belongs to. I don't care. I want this mark removed from my credit report because fair practices were not followed, AND I paid them.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I clearly stated that I wanted this item REMOVED from my report. Their response says they submitted for deletion. However, they updated it to paid and closed and the item REMAINS on my Equifax credit file as a collection. If a business says it will do something then they had better damn well do it! I cannot stand underhanded liars that say one thing and do another!!!

Review: The company is not in compliance with the state law of collection. The company is trying to add something to my credit report when the laws of Texas states the company can not be operating in the state. Section 392.101 of the Texas Finance Code prohibits a third-party debt collector or credit bureau from engaging in debt collection in Texas unless the third-party debt collector or credit bureau has obtained a surety bond and filed a copy of the bond with the Office of the Secretary of State. The compnay knows the law and they let there bond expire.Principal Name: ARS Recovery Services LLC aka Stellar Recovery Inc fka [redacted] LLC# [redacted] File Number:20050139 Status:Canceled Close File Date Filed:6/10/2005 Cancellation Date:8/1/2009 Phone: Bonding Company:[redacted] Company Bond No:[redacted]Desired Settlement: Removed credit reporting agency negative information in the next 10 days

Regards,

Review: I was alerted on Oct 25, 2014 by my Experian credit monitoring membership, that Stellar Recovery Inc placed a negative report on my credit report for [redacted] in the amount of $134.00. Stellar Recovery Inc listed their open collection starting date as of Oct 2014. I have had my current account with [redacted] for 5 years as of Nov 2009 and my balance is $0.00. As I investigated the claim from Stellar Recovery it turned out this was a past bill from Jan 2009 and which is the original delinquent date. [redacted] admitted to never sending me the past bill to my current address and never connecting my past account to my current account which is the normal practice when setting up service and stated, "I'm not sure why our representative did not forward your bill, this is not a normal practice" I paid the bill within 48 hours of my knowledge of the past bill. I explained to Stellar Recovery that [redacted] erred ever sending me a bill and Stellar Recovery never sent me a bill in the past 5 years of the account being past due. The Stellar Recovery representative admitted to not having an address or telephone number to send me any correspondence about the bill, further stating "its not our obligation to inform you a bill is in collection with us" How can a consumer pay a bill that they have NO KNOWLEDGE OF??? My current [redacted] account is 5 years old and paid in full and they have NEVER sent me a bill for the past account and nor did Stellar Recovery even try to contact me about the debt. I spoke with Experian who said the DELETION of a negative remark is up to the creditor who placed the remark in which case is STELLAR RECOVERY, Experian further explained to me that YES the creditor CAN delete the negative remark and when I asked Stellar Recovery they claimed [redacted] has to decide wether to delete, and when I spoke to [redacted] they claim Stellar has to delete. Essentially I'm getting the run around from a company who is used to consumers dodging them and I did not dodge anyone, I handled this matter IMMEDIATELY upon it being brought to my attention, but as always NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I would like Stellar Recovery Inc to delete the negative report they placed on my credit report. I had excellent credit before they reported and their remark has severely crippled my credit dropping my score 70 points. I understand too well that many people do not care about their credit but I do and I took IMMEDIATE action and paid the account in full for a bill that I was totally UNAWARE of and I do not feel like I deserve the punishment Stellar is trying to ensue on me, due to their admittance of non-communication and statement of "not having any duties to inform the consumer a bill is in collections prior to reporting". Also they misinformed the credit bureau of the original delinquent date and dated it almost 6 years past the original delinquent date. Nobody can pay a bill they are unaware of! PLEASE DELETE THIS REMARK Stellar Recovery Inc!

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 09-11-2014, our office did receive a past due billing for Services for a [redacted] at [redacted]. On 10-27-2014, we spoke with Ms [redacted] regarding this file. The consumer spoke with 3 agents, two were managers, we have reviewed all the calls. Ms. [redacted] was very insistent on deletion of the credit reporting upon payment of this file. Although Stellar Recovery does not have a "Pay to Delete" policy, we felt that some of the comments as to the reason for this policy by our agents and Managers were not consistent with the actual reasoning behind this policy and went well beyond our standard explanation of credit reporting by our company, due in part to the consumer's continual insistence for the deletion. We have ordered deletion of the credit reporting for this file and will continue to monitor the file and once we are notified by the client that the consumer did pay them directly, we will continue to delete the reporting and close the file. At the time of this response, we have not received verification of the payment the consumer indicated she made to [redacted] directly. Again, the current credit reporting has been deleted and we will monitor the file and will not report after the payment has been processed.

Hello Mr.[redacted]

Complaint ID #[redacted]

Review: They call my house asking for a [redacted]. We have told them on several occasions that we do not know this person nor is our phone number theirs. They preceded to continue to call almost on a daily basis. We have asked them not to call our number again several times.Desired Settlement: For them to keep updated records of people and to leave those alone that has nothing to do with them.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a wrong number complaint filed by [redacted]. We have completed a detailed investigation and have determined the following. The phone numbers provided, ###-###-#### and ###-###-#### are not and have not been in our system. We also attempted to locate a consumer with the name of [redacted] and have not located anyone with that name. We cross-checked the last name of [redacted] with the [redacted] prefix and found no numbers. We also cross-checked [redacted]-xxxx with the last name of [redacted] and found the number ###-###-#### but that phone was removed and has not been called since 7-19-2014. If Ms. [redacted] has another phone number that we may have called or if calls are continueing she is welcome to call my office at ###-###-#### or e mail me at [redacted]. It is not our intent to continue to call wrong numbers and our agents are trained to politely remove any wrong number when we are notified. We apologize for any calls made but we have been unable to locate the wrong number based on the information provided.

Getting over the fact that Stellar Recovery, Inc. is a collection agency and always wants to take money from people, the way the collections are handled is unbelievably pathetic. Despite the fact that my charges were FRAUD, I called to pay off my account because it was ruining my credit and I couldnt rent an apartment without doing so. This being said, when I called to pay I was told I would be emailed a receipt of payment (NOT a "paid in full" statement), that they charged my debit card within 24 hours. 48 hours later, still no email. When I called to inquire, I spoke with a [redacted] who was very unhelpful and spoke more of the same thing twice to sound like he was knowledgeable. When he couldn't help me, I was patched over to a "[redacted]", a man who should NOT be allowed to work with customers another day in his life. He was rude and interrupted me every time I spoke. He clearly didn't understand my request because while he kept denying me my rightful receipt (like the one you get at the grocery store), a supervisor by the name of [redacted] (whom I spoke with next) told me immediately that I would receive an email very soon. Now, hopefully [redacted] comes through, otherwise I will be very unhappy but overall, this experience PAYING off my fraudulent debt makes me disgusted. THEY want MY money! You cannot be inconsiderate towards someone you want money from! I wasn't asking for a parade, I was asking for a receipt. Get smart, people.
