It is from 8am sharp all the way to late in the evening. It is absolutely giving me MENTAL ANGUISH!Desired Settlement: STOP CONTACTING ME I DO NOT WANT TO WORK WITH YOU. I BLOCK ONE NUMBER AND YOU USE ANOTHER. S-T-O-P.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] indicates that we have been calling for at least a year, sometimes several times per day. The phone number of [redacted] was placed into our database on 01-04-2014 and we have called the number a total of 7 times since that date. We do show this number was for an [redacted]. We have removed the number from our system and have placed the number into our internal do not call list. We apologize for the 7 calls made to that number.

Review: I was contacted by Stellar Recovery concerning an allegedly outstanding [redacted] bill of over $350 relating to a time in 2013 and to an account that was allegedly opened in my name, using my social security number in March of 2010, according to a telephone conversation I had with one of their collections agents.

I gave the individual the last 4 digits of the [redacted] account in our home and the agent said that was not the number he had on file. (The [redacted] account at the family home is not even in my name), and informed the agent that in March of 2010 I didn't even live in the United States to either have a Social Security number or set up a [redacted] account.

I believe that Stellar Recovery are doing something illegal, fabricating information and creating a false debt. Either that or some kind of identity theft has taken place.Desired Settlement: This debt needs to be removed from my credit file, (if it is even there) immediately as it does not apply to me

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. We have located the file. On 01-29-2013, our office did receive a [redacted] file in the name of [redacted] (SS # ending in [redacted]) for services at [redacted]. These services were charged off on 4-6-2010. Our records indicate that we spoke with the consumer on 10-23-2014, he advised our agent that he had never lived at the address, he was from the United Kingdom, that the ss # did match and thought this was possibley a fraud account. The Stellar Agent closed the file as disputed, possible fraud and we sent the file back to [redacted] with the information provided by the consumer. Any credit reporting was ordered deleted on this file. the consumer is welcome to contact [redacted] directly regarding any possible fraud on this file. Again, based on the comments provided by the consumer, our agent closed the file and returned it to [redacted].

Review: I monitor my credit report every month and noticed my credit score drop 32 points because Stellar Recovery llc placed a collection account on my credit file on April 2014. I called Stellar Recovery and spoke to a representative who asked for my social security number. I provided them with the info and the representative stated they couldn't pull anything under my social security number. The representative asked for my date of birth and I provided them with the information, again the representative stated they couldn't pull up anything with that information. I informed the representative that Stellar Recovery is reporting to my credit file with a collection account that doesn't belong to me and it's negatively impact my credit file with the credit bureau's. I demanded that they remove this collection account immediately. The representative did not provide any resolution. My only resolution to this matter is for Stellar Recovery to remove this collection account from my credit file because it does not belong to me and it's still being currently report negative on my credit file with the credit bureaus and negatively impacted my credit score.Desired Settlement: I want Stellar Recovery to remove this collection account from my credit file with the credit bureaus ASAP and I'm also looking to file a complaint with the [redacted] office because this collection account that doesn't belong to me has negatively impacted my credit file and credit score.

Response:

Stellar Recovery has received a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 03-14-2014, our office did receive a [redacted] file in the name of [redacted] for services at [redacted]. The SS # associated with the file ends in [redacted]. Our records indicate that on 04-17-2014, the consumer spoke with one of our agents, and indicated that they would dispute this directly with [redacted]. The agent closed the file as disputed and our system automatically ordered deletion of the credit reporting based on the change of status to dispute. On 04-21-2014, we received a notification via EOscar (Credit Reporting) that the file was being disputed through the credit reporting agencies, again, the file had been closed as disputed prior to the notification. On 05-02-2014, our records indicate we spoke with the consumer again, and the consumer again said she never had an account with [redacted], didnt owe any money and has [redacted] as a provider, the agent informed the consumer the file was closed as disputed and returned to [redacted] We also performed today, a manual AUD deletion for this file as we did an audit and the credit reporting agencies showed they were still reporting the file, confirmation of this deletion is [redacted].

Response:

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

First and foremost, I have not spoken to anyone from Stellar Recovery in the month of May 2014. Second the have not deleted the collection account from my credit file, I've attached a file showing I pulled a copy of my credit report to prove it's still showing. Third my name is [redacted] and the last four of my social is #[redacted] and date of birth is 12/29/82. When I called back in April 2014 they couldn't even pull up the account based on the information I gave them but yet the put this collection on my credit report with the credit bureaus.

Regards,

Business

Response:

Stellar Recovery has received the addtional concerns from Mr. [redacted]. We do show that we spoke with the consumer on 05-02-2014, since the name and social do not match the consumer file, we can assume we were speaking with the actual consumer on this file. We are a data furnisher and we report the information we have to the credit reporting agencies, they are responsible to place the information on the correct credit file. As we indicated, a manual AUD deletion was performed to remove any information on this account, the consumer will need to give the credit reporting agencies time to process this request, as it was performed on 05-05-2014.

Response:

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

On my credit file it shows Stellar Recovery as a collection account. Regardless how it got to my credit file it shows Stellar Recovery on my file. Stellar Recovery llc needs to handle the issue with the credit bureaus. Again this account does not belong to me but yet I'm being affected of the negative benefits of having this on my credit file. I haven't received any phone calls from a supervisor or manager about this issue. I'll be sure to also file an [redacted] complaint and report Stellar Recovery llc to the [redacted]. Until this fraudulent collection account still remains on my credit file. I will continue with legal action. Thanks for your response but this issue is still unresolved

Regards,

Review: Stellar Recovery Inc showed up on my credit report for a bill that is not mine. They have NEVER contacted me before nor has the company they claim to be collecting for. They cannot validate this debt and I've disputed it with all three credit agencies. Now Enhanced Resources is contacting me stating they are collecting this debt also. Same day.Desired Settlement: This needs to be removed from my credit report, not my debt.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records indicate that we did receive a Comcast account in our office on 12-18-2015 for a [redacted] for Services at [redacted]. Our investigation shows that the account in our office from Comcast was placed with a delinquency date of 12-20-2013. Ms. [redacted] made contact with our office on 2-18-2016 where a settlement was offered to Ms. [redacted] to pay 80% of the balance. Our records show Ms. [redacted] contacted our office a second time on 2-18-2016 requesting a reduced settlement. Stellar can only allow a settlement based on the clients set criteria, which Ms. [redacted] would need to pay 80% of the balance. Our investigation shows that on 2-22-2016 Stellar received a dispute directly from the credit reporting agencies. Our Director of Compliance sent verification of the account to the client on 2-26-2016. The client confirmed that the account is placed with Stellar Recovery and they will contact the other agency. Validation of debt has been requested from the client Comcast on Ms. [redacted]’s behalf.

Review: ON OR AROUND 10/8/13, I BECAME AWARE OF A COLLECTION ACCOUNT WITH THIS COMPANY FROM AN OLD CABLE BILL WITH [redacted]. I AM TRYING TO BUY A HOUSE SO I WAS ADVISED TO SEE IF I COULD PAY THIS ACCOUNT OFF AND HAVE THEM DELETE IT FROM MY CREDIT REPORT. MY WIFE ([redacted]) CALLED STELLAR ASKING IF WE PAID THIS BILL, THEY WOULD DELETE IT. WHEN ASKING THIS QUESTION SHE WAS TRANSFERRED TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT PEOPLE BECAUSE SOME TOLD HER THEY WOULD NOT "DELTE". THE LAST PERSON SHE WAS TRANSFERRED TO WAS A GENTLEMAN WHO TOLD HER IF SHE WENT TO A [redacted] OFFICE AND PAID OFF THE BILL AND GOT A RECEIPT AND ASKED THEM TO TELL STELLAR TO DELETE IT, THAT WOULD BE THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT COMPLETELY DELETED. SHE ASKED IF SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO GO TO AN OFFICE BECAUSE THERE WERE NONE NEAR US, COULD SHE PAY IT OVER THE PHONE. SHE WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE BETTER TO GO TO A LOCAL OFFICE BUT AS LONG AS SHE GOT A RECEIPT THEY COULD HAVE IT DELETED. SHE PAID IT OFF WITH [redacted] AND SPOKE TO A LADY NAMED [redacted] WHO TOLD HER THAT HER RECEIPT COULD BE FROM HER BANK WHERE SHE PAID THE ACCT OFF. SHE ALSO TOLD HER THAT SHE WOULD CALL STELLAR RECOVERY AND ASK THAT THEY DELETE THE ACCT FROM CREDIT REPORT ASAP. WHEN SHE CALLED AWA BACK TO SEE ABOUT FAXING THE RECEIPT, SHE WAS TOLD THEY WOULD ONLY GIVE HER A ZERO BALANCE, THAT THEY NEVER DELETE. SHE TOLD THEM TO GO BACK AND REVIEW HER CONVERSATION BECAUSE THEY HAD PROMISED TO DELETE COMPLETELY. SHE WAS TOLD THEY WOULD HAVE QUALITY AUDIT THE CONVERSATION AND GET BACK TO HER IN 1-2 DAYS. THAT WAS A MONTH AGO AND WE STILL HAVE NOT HAD IT DELETED OR GOTTEN A RESPONSE FROM THEM. WE ARE LOSING A CHANCE AT A HOME LOAN AND COULD HAVE PAID IT OFF SLOWLY IF WE HAD KNOWN THEY WOULDN'T DELETE. WE HAVE BEEN MISLED AND ARE REQUESTING MONETARY DAMAGES IF THEY DON'T DELETE.Desired Settlement: WE ARE ASKING FOR IT TO BE DELETED ASAP. IF THEY WILL NOT DO THAT, WE ARE REQUESTING MONETARY DAMAGES.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. We have completed our investigation. On 06-19-2013, our office did receive a [redacted] file in the name of [redacted] for services [redacted]. It further appears we had contact with the consumer beginning on 09-27-2013, the consumer indicated that they saw this on credit report. We have reviewed this conversation and the Agent did not make any comments about "paying for deletion." The agent did indicated that the credit reporting would be "updated" as "Paid in Full." We also show that we spoke with the consumer (Mrs. [redacted]) and she requested a paid in full letter after she made payment on this file, she was told our policy is to provide such a letter after 30 days, she indicated that she prefers to Pay [redacted] directly. On 10-12-2013, we were notified that the payment in full had been made to [redacted] and the account was closed as paid in full. On 10-16-2013, we received another call from the consumer and they indicated that our agent had told the consumer that the Collection Item would be deleted upon payment in full, the call was directed to a Manager. The Manager noted the file, as, "reviewed recordings of calls, not told of any kind of cbr deletion, was advised updates of paid in full could take up to 30 days." We do not offer a "Pay for deletion option." However, in the spirit of good will, Stellar has ordered deletion of this credit reporting to all Credit Reporting agency as there did seem to be some confusion as to the policy and we certainly understand the frustration of dealing with kind of mark on the credit reporting. A Manual AUD has been ordered for this file, confirmation # for the deletion to all credit reporting agencies is [redacted]. If Mr. [redacted] has any additional issues, he is welcome to call [redacted] at ###-###-####, ext [redacted] or e mail at [redacted]. The file is closed as paid in full and the credit reporting has been ordered deleted.

Review: I was contacted by Stellar Collections saying I owe money to a certain bank. He could not tell me any info about it. Rude, hung up, UNAUTHORIZED.

I received a call yesterday saying I owe [redacted] almost $400. He could not tell me details about the account and I gave him my email address so he could send me a summary. I called [redacted] and the woman said there is NO record of me having a debt there. I called Stellar Collections back, the man was still very rude. He said he never sent the email because the company wouldn't allow him to (okay why didn't you call me back to tell me?!) and he kept saying I need to pay them and they would settle on half of the owed amount. I asked how he got my number and he said "oh we just have our ways). I told him I was informed by an attorney and another collections agency that it is ILLEGAL to attempt to collect a debt from someone in Arizona IF the debt is from OUT OF STATE (Which it is! That's if this is even real) and he was ridiculously rude and I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She got on the phone and was just as rude. I tried to go over what we previously went over with the man and she was all mad and HUNG UP ON ME! A SUPERVISOR HUNG UP ON ME! Ridiculous. This place sounds like a scam since they can't tell you any information and don't check peoples addresses before contacting them. KNOW THE LAW PEOPLE! This is fraud and they need to erase everything about me!Desired Settlement: I want them to remove anything from my credit report that they have reported. I want them to not contact me ever again. I want an apology for the way I was treated. I want them to erase this so called debt I have with them, because the BANK SAID IT'S NOT TRUE!

Stellar Recovery has received a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our investigation found that a file was forwarded to our office on 08-19-2013 from [redacted] that was originally a Demand Deposit Account from [redacted]. We show this file was charged off on 07-28-2010 and the orignal account number was [redacted]. *he names on the file were [redacted] and [redacted] and the address given was [redacted]. We also show that on 09-23-2013 we did speak with the consumer and she indicated that she did not have the funds available to resolve, said she was unemployed, the notes indicated that information on the file was given. She also ask that all future correspondence be through e mail and that she wanted us to provide proof and validation of the debt. The Agent closed the account, and put to our validation status. This status goes to the original client and asks for validation of the debt to be sent. Once the documents have been received, we will mail them to the consumer, if validation documents are not available, the file is closed and returned to the client. All collection efforts are ceased during this validation period. We are currently waiting for the client to validate the debt, we currently do not show that the file out of Statute. We do not report any information to the credit reporting agencies for this client.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry made by [redacted]. Our records indicate that a collection file was placed in our office by Comcast on 09-02-15 in the name of [redacted] for services at [redacted]. On 10-6-2015, we began to report this collection to the credit reporting agencies with a balance of $131.92 due. Our records also indicate that on 10-7-2015, we spoke with the consumer and he agreed to pay this account. The account is currently paid in full. We show that we are currently reporting this account as "paid in full" with a zero balance due to all credit reporting agencies. We do not believe we are reporting this incorrectly.

Review: I received notice of a collections being posted to my credit report from this company. I have not received a notice/bill or a phone call from this company prior to this. I attempted to contact this company three times requesting clarification as to what this collections is about and have not received a response. The credit report seems to indicate a Comcast account in September 2015. This is around the same time I was the victim of Identity Theft and I have provided a copy of the police report to Stellar Recovery and stated as much. I have not had a Comcast account in over 2 years and believe this is a fraudulent debt. I contacted Comcast and they were not able to provide any assistance and suggested that Stellar Recovery is the point of contact now for this.Desired Settlement: I am requesting this be removed from my credit report.

Response:

Revdex.com,

I will accept this resolution pending the removal of this from all credit reporting agencies. This address mentioned by Stellar is an address I NEVER lived at or had any affiliation with. This is a clear sign of Identity Theft. I appreciate the quick response by Stellar even though I am confused that they do not talk to customer via email. I got their email address off their website which is specifically mentioned for disputes.

I had an account go in to collections that I was unaware of. After being contacted by this company I paid the balance on the account and requested a letter saying that I did so. I needed this letter to close on my house. After speaking with 5 different customer service representatives I was told that it wasn't protocol for them to send letters so they would not be sending anything. They did nothing to help resolve the issue in any way and just kept putting me on hold and transferring me to other people.

Review: I have two problems regarding this business. First, I am a resident of Washington state and initially received calls from this collection agency every 60 SECONDS for several hours. I was not able to pick up the calls but have a phone record of them if necessary to prove my claim. Secondly, after making arrangements to pay the debt owed, I attempted to pay online and noticed an additional $9.50 charge for using a debit card to make a payment. I called to question it and was told it was a "convenience fee" for using a debit card. Is this legal? I question both of these practices as legal and if legal, request an explanation as to why this additional fee was not discussed when I made contact with Stellar Recovery to set up a payment plan. According to the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) website : "Q. Can cardholders be surcharged if they press the “credit button” while using a debit or prepaid card?

No. Regardless of how your debit or prepaid card is processed at the point of sale, surcharging is not permitted on debit or prepaid cards."Desired Settlement: If illegal, practices to stop immediately. If legal, to be advised when setting up payment plan. Excessive calls to STOP IMMEDIATELY. Thank you.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 04-09-2014, our office did receive a past due billing for [redacted] for a [redacted] for services at [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] indicates that we phoned "every 60 seconds for several hours." The phone number of ###-###-#### was called a total of 16 times from April 9 through April 22, when we received notification to stop calls via e mail and then later spoke with the consumer. We do show that multiple calls were made 04-17 (3 calls) and 4-21 (3 calls ) but do not show that the numbers were calls in 60 second intervals. These calls were made in error, our system should ony make 1 call maximum per day, not 3 and we do apologize for the number of calls per those 2 days. All calls were restricted upon notification by Ms. [redacted] via e mail on 4-22 and the number was marked as bad by one of agents later that day when we spoke with Ms. [redacted]. On 04-30-2014, one of our agents spoke again with Ms. [redacted] and she indicated that our web site payment portal showed that a convienience fee of 9.50 would be charged for the transaction, the agent explained that the fee is shown but not charged in states that the fee is not to be charged including the State of Washington. Both our payment portal and our software for verbal payments over the phone do not charge the fee in states that we are not allowed to charge such a fee. Ms. [redacted] indicated that she would prefer to send in a payment, which the agent said was fine and noted the file as same.

Review: Company setup a 'robo-caller' to call me daily between the hours of 12:00 - 12:30pm. Upon calling back their either a) hang up or b) attempt to get social security/personal information despite the fact that I have no outstanding debts.Desired Settlement: For me, stop contacting. For ethical business practice, only call people who are actual clients.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] indicated that we have been calling a wrong number. The number ###-###-#### is in our system and has now been removed. We have also placed the number into our internal, do not call list in the event the number is placed in our office in the future. We apologize for the calls, our agents are trained to politely remove any wrong number, and the consumer can also press a button indicating the call is a wrong number and it will be removed or sent to an agent. Again, the number has been removed and we do apologize for the calls made.

Review: Today 12/27/14 while checking my credit report due to an Experian notification I noticed I had an account in collections with Stellar Recovery Inc. I have never received a phone call or letter notifying me of any outstanding debt, therefore, violating my rights under the FCRA by failing to notify me that a debt had been reported. Furthermore, I don't owe [redacted] any money from my service with them 5 years ago. I have never heard anything else regarding [redacted] until now.Desired Settlement: I would like Stellar Recovery Inc to delete the collection account from all 3 credit bureaus and permanently stop all collection activity against me. Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by Andriane Elisabeth [redacted]. On 11-22-2014, our office did received a past due billing from [redacted] for Services at [redacted] in the name of [redacted]. It appears we did have a phone number of ###-###-#### as a contact number for the consumer and one call was attempted on 12-03-2014. Our records show this file was charged off on 8-15-2010. Stellar Recovery is a Data Furnisher under the FCRA and the notification was required by the original creditor for reporting purposes. We also show a letter was sent to the address on file on 11-24-2014. We note that the address on the Revdex.com complaint is a different address. Based on the complaint, we have closed the file as disputed and will return it to [redacted] as such. Credit reporting has been ordered deleted on this file. Regards,

Review: I noticed there is a negative collection account put on my credit report from stellar recovery inc. Please be advised this is not a refusal to pay a debt, but notice pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 (b) that your claim is disputed and validation is requested. I have no knowledge of this account, I have not received any letters from Stellar recovery to inform me of any debt owed. Please validate: Full Original Account Number Date account opened Any written agreement between myself and original creditor Itemized calculation of alleged debt Please remove this item from my credit report until this debt is validated at which time if this debt is indeed my debt I will make arrangements to pay this debt. This is my attempt to verify the validity of the alleged debt.Desired Settlement: This has been reported to the credit agency and I have no knowledge of this debt and have not been notified of this debt. I would like this to be removed from my credit until I have verified the source and have been contacted for a resolution. I was part of the OPM security breach and I worry this is a result of that.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry made by [redacted]. This inquiry appears to be a request for validation of a debt, which should be processed in writing to the Data Furnisher reporting the debt, however, we will recognize this as a written request for validation. The file has been placed into validation status and we will request documents from our client, during the validation period, credit reporting is ordered deleted. If, within 30 days of requesting the validation documents, we received the documents, they will be mailed to the consumer. Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted] of Dallas Texas. Based on the name and the address on this Revdex.com inquiry, we have been unable to locate a file in the name of [redacted]. We would be happy to continue the investigation of the claim, may we suggest [redacted] contact me directly and we should be able to help resolve this matter. My name is [redacted], my contact phone is ###-###-####, ext [redacted] and my e mail is [redacted]. Credit reporting is regulated by the FCRA and we are compliant with all credit reporting mandates.

Horrible compay. Website is not functional. Cannot make a payment. Two phone numbers on the bill ring through to -- "the ext. you have reached, 5132654 is not available Leave a message and someone will return your call". One other phone number I found rings through to an outgoing message that says "Stellar recovery" and then you are put on hold for literally an hour. You are then promptly disconnected. This has happened 4 times. I have to pay this 300 dollar bill to clear my credit before I buy a house! Stellar won't even take my money. If I were[redacted] I would be [redacted]!!! The are charging Charter for collection activity that will NEVER take place because you cannot even get through to pay the bill!!!!!

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an inquiry filed by [redacted]. On 04-10-2013, our office did receive a past due billing from [redacted] for [redacted] for Services at [redacted]. We do not show any contact made, 3 letters were sent to the [redacted] address on this file. Based on the information provided to the Revdex.com, we have closed the file as disputed and will return the file to our client [redacted]. Credit reporting has been ordered deleted and a closure letter has been ordered to the updated address in [redacted]. Again, we show no contact was made by the consumer to Stellar indicating any type of dispute.

By new law these companies can only call you twice per month to ask for debt payment. Tell them you spoke to a lawyer and that they are tracking all phone calls now. Tell them you revoke permission for them to call you. Use those exact words. Tell them they will be sued for 5000 each call. The calls will stop forever. Try it. We win.

Review: Stellar Recovery is trying to collect a debt that I do not owe.

This company is trying to resolve an issue that has already been resolved. I moved from a previous residence due to flooding.
