While we regret Mr. [redacted] dissatisfaction, we believe we have acted in full accordance with the service agreement signed by [redacted] of the ** office. We have offered to work with Mr. [redacted] on potential resolutions to this matter, however this account does have a signed service agreement on file that does not expire until August 1, 2020 and they have insisted upon proceeding with the early termination of a service agreement still within its' initial term therefore we feel the liquidated damages provision outlined in section 2c is valid. Should Mr. [redacted] wish to resume discussions around continuing services with Stericycle and finishing out the remainder of their agreement, we would be happy to continue that dialogue.

However, we are more than willing to work with our customers to find a service program with a rate that works for them. We offer a variety of different program levels and pick-up frequencies and can help to evaluate these options. We will have one of our Managers reach out to Dr. [redacted] directly in order to review potential solutions to this matter.

As an attempt to reach a compromise here, Stericycle will accept the settlement amount of $1,000.00. We feel this is an amicable resolution for both parties.

While we regret Mr. [redacted] ‘s dissatisfaction, we believe we have acted in full accordance with the service agreement signed by [redacted] Rescue Mission. Our records indicate we were notified of a pickup request on 8/4/16, we confirmed this pickup request on 8/4/2016 for the pickup date of 8/9/2016...

with [redacted]. Stericycle completed the pickup request on 8/9/2016 picking up 3 medical waste containers weighing 96lbs with the signature on the manifest shipping document. We feel the charge of $ 820.27 for the services rendered are valid.
In closing, although we believe our contract to be entirely valid, in the interest of maintaining positive customer relations we are willing to reduce the amount due to Stericycle from $820.27 to $595.19 for the services rendered. We feel this is an amicable resolution for both parties.

federal standards as well as prepare for investments in our business to keep abreast of needed technology and ensure the protection of our customers as part of our ‘cradle to grave’ service offering. While we try to absorb most of these costs, at times we must pass them on to our customers. Stericycle uses its business judgment to allocate increases in costs that are incurred on a system-wide basis to individual accounts. One example of a significant investment made by Stericycle is a massive incinerator improvement project. We are required to upgrade all incinerators nationwide in order to meet 2014 EPA requirements. This is a multi-million dollar investment that Stericycle has made in order to remain complaint with federal guidelines.
Nonetheless, we value [redacted] Dental as a long time Stericycle customer and in the interest of maintaining positive relations we have agreed to cancel their account, remove the liquidated damages charge and  the quarterly fees' billed, leaving the balance due $0.00. We truly appreciate the opportunity we have had to serve [redacted] Dental over the years and wish continued success for the business.

Should Ms. [redacted] wish to resume discussions around continuing services with Stericycle and finishing out the remainder of their agreement, we would be happy to continue that dialogue.

Please note, our service agreement does outline in section 2c that a liquidated damages charge will be assessed when an agreement is prematurely terminated. Stericycle faces costs associated with building each customer into our routes and processing schedules. This helps us recoup after an...

un-planned loss which does have an impact on our business.
In closing, we believe we acted in full accordance with the service agreement signed by your office. However, as a means of maintaining positive customer relations, we will agree to waive the early termination fee previously assessed to account #8066039 as requested, leaving the balance due 0.00.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
While we appreciate Stericycle's response to our complaint, it is unfortunate that they could not do so directly with us. As stated in their response they would have a manager reach out to us and as usual we have yet to receive a response.
Further, it is also apparent from their response that they TOTALLY missed the major point in our complaint: the inappropriate extension of a contract. Below, I simplify and clarify our complaint.
Based on our records, our medical waste disposal contract ends this month, Oct 2015. However, Stericycle told us that they extended the contract for 60 months when we called in April 2015 inquiring about our bill.
Supervisor "[redacted]" (12:36 pm on the 17th) explained that when we called back in April about the bill that we were provided a "discount" and that that event - the discount - automatically renewed our contract.
Yet, Stericycle has yet to produce their alleged renewed and signed medical waste contract with us. In response to their statement about price increases, we read the agreement. However, any cost increases should be justifiable ones and should in the spirit of transparency be communicated to customers. That has never been done, and sadly, we have yet (even after filing this complaint) to be contacted by any manager at Stericycle.
For all the reasons above and more importantly due to their inappropriate action of extending our waste removal contract without our approval, we request that they honor our original agreement that ends this month and terminate our service.

While we regret Ms. [redacted] dissatisfaction, Services for Account# [redacted] were rendered on 2/1/2016 Manifests for services on this date was signed by the following [redacted], therefore, [redacted], C. [redacted] DDS is responsible for penalties billed, Stericycle has waived a portion of the penalty billed. The balance due of $5918.70 is for the early termination of a service agreement still within its’ initial term outlined in section 2c.

Wwe have been unable to connect with Ms. [redacted], but we hope that she will return our message and give us an opportunity to resolve their concerns. We will also continue trying to connect with Ms. [redacted] directly and can help to evaluate these options.
