I mean you are the background investigators so why do you want me to do all the work find phone numbers names email addresses etc.
Get off your back sides and do what you are supposed to do.

This review is solely directed to the ability of persons giving consent to Sterling to access, compile and forward a background check and denying or delaying the availability of the person giving consent to see the actual report?
I was declined for the job and repeated requests to see why have not happened.
To dispute any part of the report is irrelevant if you cant see it.

This is the worst background check company I’ve ever dealt with! It’s almost been 1 whole month and they have yet to finish with my background check. I called the company that offered me a position and asked them if they had an update on my paperwork and if anything else was needed from my end, they informed me they were still waiting on Sterling to complete my background check. At this point I’m not even sure I will get hired because unfortunately my orientation date should have been for next week and yet I’m still waiting for them to complete this! They asked for educational verification documents which I informed them I had to order and wait to submit to them but I also did ask them why they couldn’t find this on their own!? The whole process has been a tedious headache. I wish no company used Sterling for their Candidate background checks!

This is the most ridiculous process I have ever experienced! I have NEVER had a background check be so convoluted and inconvenient. For employment verification, no matter how long ago, I was asked to verify with pay stubs. Who keeps pay stubs for years? I have W2s to verify employment, but it's ridiculous that I had to find, scan, and submit them for every year of employment for multiple jobs. Then there's the education verification. This process dragged out for WEEKS--one "Additional Information Required" message after another! I might as well be doing my own background investigation! This process could have delayed my employment unnecessarily. I don't know why their background check process is so tedious, but I hope to NEVER be subjected to another one.

Sterling has been a complete nightmareThe company I applied for had me submit info to Sterling weeks agoMy background has been in the same place for over a week nowI have called the customer service team more times then I can count and I always get the same story; we are working on itI am not calling to track an Amazon package, this is my futureThey were unable to verify that I went to high schoolI made one phone call and they advised Sterling made one attempt to reach outI then was told they couldn't verify employment from a previous employer so alas I have to provide the number, no big deal but the following day I get a call saying they can't verify employment, so I advise that a rep called for that yesterdayThey had no recordThis companies complete lack efficiency has now delayed my start dateI have called the courts, my record is public info online, schooling is verifiable online, yet the incompetent employees of Sterling will now be the reason I wont get my dream jobI am beyond frustrated, down right upset is the wordI call daily to explain the importance of this to me, how this job will validate a ton of hard work, they then say the following: There is currently no update blah blah blahI hope I was able to answer your questionsThey don'tAnd the audacity of this company to dare claim they have the fastest criminal search, and "boast" of same day resultsI don't think soThis company is an absolute jokeThey have crushed so much hard work because instead of viewing us as human beings who rely on this speedy process to further our lives we become numbers that mean nothing to themI would rather deal with the IRS any day then this company

I'm offended to find that my new [redacted] account has been suspended, because the background check that was just done by Sterling was for the wrong personThe name on the report is not mine, as I don't even have a middle name, as was in the reportI called the number provided, but I haven't gotten an answerPlease verify before you do background checks on peopleI'm so offended

I've just been contacted by the same company in regards to a position I've applied for asking for additional information to be able to proceed with the processThey also gave only a hour turn aroundThe email they sent along with "forms" are so vague, I am not sure what it is they are wantingI have no criminal record but there is a form for additional info? They sent a copy of a report that states complete level How am I to know what that means? Of course I missed the hour deadline because I am not a person that checks my email dailyWhy not just call and be a little more professionalWith that being said, I've probably missed a job opportunity as wellSounds like Sterling shouldn't be used for background checks

And why would they not tell me to retrieve it from the web site? Also, why would they not return phone calls or emails? An amended copy of ***' report was mailed to him on Friday, March ***. On the same day, we notified the prospective employer that we had amended the report and they have subsequently received an updated copy. Again, we regret any inconvenience.
