Can anyone tell me what my finances or my "Mode of Living" has to do with coaching or keeping kids safe? A criminal background check does not require this information! My finances is private and not needed but the volunteer background check conducted by the Boys & Girls Club through this company requires it? I gave a 1 star only because I couldn't leave it at a zero!

thinking about it seems as if you don't want lower income individuals to coach most of whom are of the minority class.

I am a realtorTo receive relocation referrals from a company, I had to submit a background check request online to Sterling Background Check The 1st was submitted on 12/* I was asked by my company if I had submitted the request I called Sterling to find out that they had no record of my submission, yet - I was charged $ Since then, I have submitted additional requests, being charged $for each - and have been told by Sterling that they did not receive a one! The 4th submission was done by an employee of Sterling while I was on the phone! Every time I've spoken to customer service with Sterling I have yet to get a representative that I can understand & they've butchered my name! This is very frustrating to me, as - I rely on referral business coming in for my livelihood! I was told there was a problem with the software and would have to wait until they got it straightened out to submit a request I was sent refund forms for the times I was charged (I haven't seen a refund yet) This time I submitted the form again after being told this was fixed I was charged again I called to verify that Sterling had received my submittal - which, after speaking to people at Sterling, of which all were very hard to understand (***) told me they could not find my submittal! They would have someone in-charge contact me ASAP! Did I mention, I've left un-returned voicemails and have never been contacted by "That Person"My business has suffered because of this company

I never said that the Sterling Rep said the reports would be mailed out automaticallyI said that is how the report is ordered from the client and always has beenThe client has provided a copy of the report since Sterling has refused saying they NEVER give reports to the subject of the reportThe Sterling Rep now says you can call them to request a copy but Sterling does not return calls or emailsThe Rep says they require the subject to send over unsecured email a drivers license with a request for a copy of the report which the subject has already paid for in full and never receivedThis exposes the subject to possible idenifty theft and would be foolish The Rep now says the subject can log in and print out a copy of the reportI have no log in information and never have been given any log in information to print a reportFurther, if a subject could simply log in and print the report then this is quite different than his earlier statement about needing to email a drivers license over unsecured email firstThis company's story keeps changing

Customer states that they were invoiced for an annual fee after informing SterlingBackcheck that they were soldApparently it was implied that they would no longer be a customer to
SterlingBackcheck, but that was not obvious from the communicationAs of 4/**/the customers account has been credited for the fee in question

The error has finally been corrected and the inaccurate information has finally been removed from my report. However, after Infosystems first response to Revdex.com on Friday , March **that the error had been corrected, I called Infosystems that day, and the representative stated that the error remained on my report. I called again first thing on Monday, March **, and, again, the representative stated that the error remained. It was not until later on March **, after another call, that they stated the error had been corrected, and removed from my report. The fact remains, however, that Infosystems made an initial gross error in their initial report, and that never should not have happened. If I had not initially called Infosystems, and found out about their error, this could have gone on much longer. It took several phone calls and a complaint to Revdex.com before Infosystems finally corrected their shoddy work and grossly inaccurate report.

Sterling Infosystems is a consumer reporting agency regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In order tosearchcriminal
recordinformation, Sterling must contactlocal,state andfederal courts. As a result, Sterling is dependent on the courts to provide the information. Turnaround times can vary from a few hours to a few weeks to obtain the results. Also, depending on the court, Sterling may send someone to the courttoaccess a public terminal, obtain court documents, or need the assistance of the clerk

These people call the place we work for ALL the time looking for background information on people . We CAN NOT give the public background information nor do we do public background checks . We have told them hundreds of times and they STILL call and STILL harass us for information. They even try to lie about the information they claim they got from us in the past or who they spoke to.( Today they gave us a random name of someone who doesn't even work in the building.) We also tell them that they can go online and see what they are asking for in the state courts public records online . They claim they know and do this but then harass us for more info even though we have told them many times we can not and will not give it to them and that what they can see EVERYTHING online that we can see. They will even argue with us and even call multiple times trying to get a different person who will give them what they want. They have even called from many different numbers knowing we have caller ID and know it is them thinking that if they call from a "fake " number or place we wont know its them even though most of the people calling from here have very strong accents from India and we aren't fooled one bit.

Please note that the volunteer organization should have notified the consumer that there would be an additional fee should their background check require a NY Statewide Criminal Record Search. Sterling will refund the initial charge back to the consumer and void the consumer report

I moved to a new city for a new job position sterling was responsible for doing my background check it has been a month since they got all the information and papers that they needed there is only one minor misdemeanor on my background and they have been working on it for a month in the mean time I'm behind on bills because of this because I cannot start my new job till they finish with my background check so I give them a F rating I mean a whole month to process background that's horrible plus they won't except phone calls

who use their service and denied or reneged on my employment due to the
reporting they supplied, I need to update their information with each and every

Sterling Background Check is a far below par serviceThe amount of information demanded was excruciatingI received a notice from them stating that they were unable to verify my high school education, and that a copy of my diploma was required to proceedWhen I contacted my high school, the receptionist reported that she had just missed the call and received the voicemail five minutes prior to my notice from SterlingThey made one half hearted attempt to verify my information before requesting me to procure documentation myselfAlso, they reported to me that they couldn't verify a previous employer from six years prior, and demanded that I provide pay stubs to prove my employmentPay stubs from six years ago is ridiculousEspecially when all of that information should have been available through a check I could have done myself onlineThe entire process took three weeks, and delayed my start date at my new job because of a ridiculously inefficient and incompetent background check service

Sterling Infosystems has received a dispute from *** *** and have just concluded our reinvestigation. As a result of the reinvestigation, we are amending *** ***'s consumer report to remove the disputed information. All processes have been in line with the requirements of the
Fair Credit Reporting Act. A new report will be transmitted to the prospective employer. We regret any inconvenience

Terrible company. I have been waiting too long for them to verify my background check. This is ridiculous. Why do you guys take your time? I need work to survive COME ON!!!!

I would not recommend Sterling. Unfortunately, they purchased Talentwise which was our background check provider. We were very happy with Talentwise and so disappointed with the change. All of the customer service functions have been moved to India. As one can imagine, it has created a significant communication barrier. Furthermore, when candidates have to contact Sterling, they become very skeptical about providing personal information to someone in India and also experience a communication issue. The service level has been diminished, the turn around time has increased, and there have been several other issues. We are going to be changing providers in the first quarter of 2017.

Sterling has been a complete nightmare. The company I applied for had me submit info to Sterling 2 weeks ago. My background has been in the same place for over a week now. I have called the customer service team more times then I can count and I always get the same story; we are working on it. I am not calling to track an Amazon package, this is my future. They were unable to verify that I went to high school.... I made one phone call and they advised Sterling made one attempt to reach out. I then was told they couldn't verify employment from a previous employer so alas I have to provide the number, no big deal but the following day I get a call saying they can't verify employment, so I advise that a rep called for that yesterday. They had no record. This companies complete lack efficiency has now delayed my start date. I have called the courts, my record is public info online, schooling is verifiable online, yet the incompetent employees of Sterling will now be the reason I wont get my dream job. I am beyond frustrated, down right upset is the word. I call daily to explain the importance of this to me, how this job will validate a ton of hard work, they then say the following: There is currently no update blah blah blah.... I hope I was able to answer your questions. They don't. And the audacity of this company to dare claim they have the fastest criminal search, and "boast" of same day results. I don't think so... This company is an absolute joke. They have crushed so much hard work because instead of viewing us as human beings who rely on this speedy process to further our lives we become numbers that mean nothing to them. I would rather deal with the IRS any day then this company.
