Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was never told that I would have to pay for a consolidation my student loan. I was told I would get lower monthly payments n this was an Obama student loan forgiveness program, and that they were affiliated with the student loan people and that they would contact them and let them know that they haven taken over my file, and after so many years of payment that a percentage of my loans would be forgiven, before I was recorded Chris (STUDENT LOAN SPECIALIST) told me to answer yes to all questions all besides answer no to one question n I did that, but during the recording I don't recall hearing anything about a &600.00 fee for a consolidation, When I was told that I had to make 3 payments of $200.00 I asked Chris would this money go towards my student and he said YES that's the only reason why I agreed to it, Im already in debt with the student loan  so for me to agree to give some company money to consolidate a loan would be crazy, because that money I sent to them could of went towards my student, and to agree with that was false statement, why would I agree to give a company money and put me farther behind on my loans..I don't understand their RESPONSE, what do they MEAN, they didn't not respond to the issue of misleading and lying and saying it was a loan forgiveness program, and what do they mean in the sentence about Client has received a 0 repayment as a result of our documents preparation service????????

Spoke with client regarding he complaint, client stated she is happy with our services and stated that in the future if she needs our assistance she won't hesitate to ask.

I contacted the number for the student loan counsel and was provided with information that my monthly payment could be lower than the one I was making currently to my then loan provider. I completed some contract completion by phone and through email/internet. I was advised by the student loan counselor, Brendan McCormick, that I should not speak with my previous loan provider because they would only attempt to harass me about the loan transition. Brendan stated this happens all of the time. I was informed I would be paying $222 per month. I noticed that only $39 was being withdrawn from my checking account each month following my start of service with this company in June. I had already paid $299 starting fee. I called the company to report this and was informed that the company was still working out the issue. I was told a forbearance was being requested to keep me in good standing with my student loans. I was told the matter was just about to be resolved. On Sunday I read an article about student loan schemes and the description in the article matched my experiences with this company. I called my student loan company the morning of 9/21 and learned that no forbearance had been placed on my behalf by this company and now I was considered 90 days past due with my payments. I called student loan council to confront this matter. I was passed from Evelyn to her supervisor who informed me that my account would be paused and then reviewed. At no time did he or Evelyn dispute the claims I was making about the company misrepresenting themselves to student loan borrowers. I have directly informed them I do not want them to deduct any money from my account and I am requesting a full refund for misrepresentation of services. Please do something about this scam. A lot of vulnerable folks are being taken advantage of, myself included, who work in the nonprofit field. In fact, this company targets folks working for nonprofits as a means of getting them approved for the Obama plan and ultimately helping them get their student loans largely forgiven. I was quoted getting over $80,000 forgiven. I thought that I had researched this company well, particularly when this company claims to be endorsed by the Revdex.com.
