I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I do not feel my request for a full refund can be satisfied by returning $dollars out of the $that is owed to meThis company is claiming to install a firewall on the PC for additional security and claiming "everything coming into my computer will be monitored at all times"They also claim the "lifetime" services that come with the "Gold" package, the $package, will be transferable to ANY computer I purchase in the futureFor my entire lifeI have requested that they send me a detailed list of everything that I purchased with the $This request was made on 2-**-at about 5:mountain timeI have requested this information from them two other times as wellEach time they have failed to give me any hard fact details regarding what this "lifetime" security package consists of. All they do is continue to tell me about the tech support they will give me for daysMost importantly I have not been able to locate something I saw when they were accessing my PC remotely on the *** of JanuaryThat is the different packages they advertise, such as "gold", "silver" etcThese packages range from about $to $The lowest cost package includes the one time service onlyThe other packages increase in price while increasing with supposed benefitsThis is were you will find the "lifetime" portions of the package that I referred to earlierI do appreciate your time and I would be happy to forward any of the responses that have been sent to meThank you

My lesson. I will never use a paid support on the internet. This company proved the risk. I am out $but an important lesson learned. This company will continue to do business ripping off customers.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I did indeed call Tech Vantedge in error after an unsuccessful search on the internet. The misleading link was listed as Dell Support. As for the way the phone call was answered, it was difficult for me to understand the *** agent so I asked if this was Dell Support. He replied, "yes, yes we are Dell's contracted tech support".
As for the reason I called, it was not due to a slowness issue nor was it to clean out the junk data. This new pc had only been plugged into the internet for two days and I spent minimal time on the internet. I had intended to contact Dell to instruct me on how to change the administrator name on the pc. This would have cost me nothing if I had actually spoken with Dell. While on the phone with this company the agent looked into the computer via remote access and after a few fast clicks and screen changes he produced a file written in red font stating my system had been compromised by hackers in China thru a Trojan virus. This utterly frightened me. He insisted it had to be cleaned and protection be added to the computer. He convinced me I had been hacked and proceeded to tell me their service was the only way to clean it up. He played on my fears that my sensitive information had been taken.
A couple of days later I began to suspect I had been a victim of a scam so I disputed the charges on my credit cards. The bank told me to have my pc scanned by a third party to see if the services promised had been carried out. I contacted the Geek Squad, told them what happened and forwarded the list of services that had been promised for the price paid. According to Geek Squad under Case ID#*** none of the services promised by Tech Vantedge were performed. They could find no trace that Tech Vantedge serviced my pc nor could they find any evidence that my pc had suffered a virus. This information can be confirmed by calling 1-800-Geek Squad and asking for Tech Support and referencing the Case ID
I would like to add that the Dell Inspirion I recently purchased came with an active firewall and antivirus protection which are automatically activated. The agent at Tech Vantedge told me that my firewall was not enabled and my antivirus was inactive. This is simply not possible. It is clear to me and the 3rd party that my computer was never in need of servicing
The information I obtained from calling Geek Squad has been submitted to my credit card companies as part of the dispute process. Nothing less than a full refund will be an appropriate resolution
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above
