The Appliance Repair Men Reviews (97)

I called The Appliance Repair Men because by dishwasher leaked - water on the floor and could feel the wetness in the insulation at the bottom of the door. Instead of the next day service advertised, I was given the first appointment available which was in two days. When the technician came, he was here for about 15 minutes. The dishwasher did not leak within that time. He left saying there was nothing he could do. He was not willing to wait for the machine to run through a full wash and rinse cycle. THIS COST ME $85.00. FOR NOTHING!!! I would never use this service again.

Customer and technician have spoken. Technician has ordered a new part and it should take a few days to arrive and then technician will go out and install when the part comes in. We are following up with the customer to make sure the unit is...

serviced.

They have very good customer services and easy to work with them. I rate them 5 stars.

Customer called in stated that Tech broke part of her appliance and didn't want to go back out, also that the appliance now leaked. Since the complaint was a revisit, we scheduled such revisit with...

her and tech . At this point Tech had not admitted to breaking anything from the appliance, just said he needed to review it, since he didn't believe customer's appliance had suffered any damage. Tech also stated that customer was rude and that she kept insisting on filing claim for money with her insurance.
After the revisit, customer called in upset that Tech had not taken the part that she said they broke and that appliance wasn't fixed. Talked to Tech, he stated the repair was well done and still working (since what was done was a drain pump cleaning so it could complete the cycles). However, he did see the damage done to a pan, and stated would replace with no charge since it was done due to the moving of the appliance for the repair. Additionally he informed that the customer had a front seal that needed replacement and that this was THE SOURCE of the leakage; he stated that these things were informed to the customer and that she demanded a free repair on the other item
The customer service agent three-way called them both and we settled the fact that an additional repair would not be free, and that Tech would call customer with ETA on damaged part replacement. Customer given that additional repair wouldn't be free, stated she didn't want it. This is where the case was left. In the interest of good customer service we would refund the diagnoses fee of $59.99 if the customer want us to. Thank you

The technician has admitted that he made a mistake on this case and he has spoken to the customer and will refund the $500. We do try and make sure all customers are happy and are truly sorry for the confusion. The customer has been informed that for any reason the technician does not follow up with...

the refund we will guarantee it and take care of it. Thank you for your patience,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Definitely a solid organization, I can always get someone on the phone when I need help.

I called what was identified on the internet as Maricopa Appliance Repair located at 19640 N Maricopa Rd in Maricopa, AZ. Told the person who answered the phone that I am in need of a dishwasher repair in Maricopa; said they would send someone out. The technician called me when he arrived (the home is a rental of mine) and said that the entire latch assembly would need to be replaced and the cost would be $295.00 including the service call and repair labor. Told home I thought that it was rather expensive for a just a latch but he explained to me that the latch assembly included all of the wiring necessary to run the machine and that it is not cheap. Told him to proceed. After three days of calling him to forward me an invoice I finally received a picture of it from phone. The breakdown on the invoice showed the latch assembly at $175.00. When I looked up the part on the internet and the ease at which the repair could be completed, I was shocked. The latch assembly can be had for as little as $32.00 depending on the vendor. When I called the repairman about this cost/price disparity he blew it off and said that his cost was $82.00 but he couldn't elaborate because he didn't have the invoice in front of him. Said he would call me back but he never has. What a rip-off.

They are n't onest with prices and they are very expensive to fix ,very bad experience.

Customer service is great, and with great response and always willing to help. I am happy with the company.

This is a serious and responsible company and would highly recommend.

After repairing the pump on the washing machine the repair man replaced the hot water hose a charge. We thought that was great! A couple of months later we discovered a small leak coming from the hose connection at the back of the washer. After taking a closer look I discovered the connection was cross threaded. I attempted to shut off the hot water only to learn the hot water shut off valve had off the whole time. Had the repair technician turned the valve on he would have discovered the leak.

Where is the professionalism??? Why am I dealing with this after paying for professional service? I'm waiting for a call back.... If I don't get a call soon I will have to complete the repair myself. YES.... I AM VERY UPSET!!!

The technician went to the home gave a quote and the homeowner signed off no less than three times agreeing to the price of the repair. The diagnoses fee was removed from the total ( We have a copy of the invoice). The technician then repaired and then the homeowner cancelled the check. After all...

the work was done that the homeowner agreed to and even though a price was agreed before hand the homeowner decided he would just pay what he wanted. And only agreed to pay him part of the money. I think it very unfortunate that some people take advantage of the system. We are refunding the diagnoses fee a second time so we do not have to deal with this dishonest person. We do outstanding work at a fair price. But sometimes people just want to take advantage of the business.

We are very sure the technician did not cause any damage to the home owners floor. When the technician arrived at the house the homeowner said the washer would not drain. The technician only removed the front [panel of the washer to replace a belt. It appears the somebody removed the drain pipe to...

see why the machine was not draining prior to the techs arrival and did not replace it the correct way. We have pictures of the washer full of water and the floors that show no water on them The home owner is saying he needs $2700 to cover his flooring in his house being replaced simply because that is his insurance deductable and he wants to re due his floors. He has not allowed the technician to have a flooring professional inspect the flooring to see if there is any damage and if so what the cost to repair would be. He made a deal with the tech over the phone that he would accept $1000 to resolve the issue even though the tech feels he did not cause the damage. Then when the tech called him again he wanted $1500 on the next conversation. We offered to pay the fee for the tech and the tech would reimburse us the cost to expedite the payment to the home owner, but now the price has gone to $2700, and if we pay it the homeowner would reflect this in the Revdex.com complaint but unless we give them $2700 they will not resolve with the Revdex.com. A fair resolution for all is what we offered and it was turned down by the homeowner. We think the tech was very fair and offered to pay for something he did not do. But the home owner is not being reasonable. The technicians offer still stands as of this response date.

Rate them a 5!!! They are the best!!!

I only had great experience with this company. I will continue to use this company as long as they provide the service they have been providing.

This entire response is patently false.  First, the technician was here to fix a drain issue.  The drain pipe was not and has not been touched by us before or after this incident.  We presumed to hire people to work on the problem.  That we would be accused without merit is wrong.  We have nothing but the word of the tech that he did not work on the back of the washer.  These are the facts:  the washer would not drain; the tech came;  the washer drained out on our floors.
No one has requested that anyone come look at our floors.  At this time, the remediation company's equines by our home owners insurance came, took tons of pictures and torn up half my floors, removed the carpet pad from my sons' bedrooms and left 17 fans to dry up the water.  The reason the tech did not have pictures of the floor with water on it is because my sons and I worked diligently to remove to water.  As soon as we realized water was on he floor, I called [redacted] and asked for help and a shop vac.  The tech came back within 20 mins. And no shop vac.  Even though the website assured us that the techs have a van fully stocked with parts and supplies.  By that time, every towel and sheet in my home was being used to save the floors.
We were asked by the business to remove this complaint if they paid us $1500.  Our deductible is $2780 and as a result of filing, our rates will go up.  If we wanted money from them, we would have not gone through insurance.  Our floors were almost exactly 2 years old and we loved them. We most certainly were not looking for new floors and that this would be said is absolutely wrong.
