Dear M** ***,Upon investigation into the complaint, it is clear this individual borrower is mistaken as to being entitled to these funds This unintentional error, whereby two checks instead of one were sent to *** *** (the "borrower"), was not by The Money Source Inc., but
rather, our former sub-servicer, ***, who was previously servicing the loan By mistake, *** sent this check to the borrower when they weren't supposed to The Money Source took over servicing from *** on August ***, 2015, but sometime thereafter, *** sent a duplicate check for these same funds to the borrower around the same time The Money Source sent its check for the exact same funds The borrower received two checks for the same amount, when they should have only received one This was a simple mistake which at times will occur when servicing rights to loans are transferred from one company to another ***'* check was, in effect, the incorrect check, but it came to our attention that the borrower cashed this check first In the interim, and once it was brought to our attention that the funds were already received by the borrower directly from ***, we proceeded to stop payment on our check, which became the duplicate checkBorrower was not entitled to double the funds, so that was the reason The Money Source stopped payment on the duplicate check The amount indicated in this complaint is the same amount on each check, including the duplicate check we sent. Our servicing team contacted *** *** on more than once occasion to explain this and during our conversation on 9/*/15, even offered to refund any bank fees that may have been assessed After speaking with him and requesting he provide verification from the bank of the amount of the fees assessed, we advised *** *** that we would gladly reimburse these fees once the documentation was provided To date, we have not received this documentation, but remain willing to do so, as originally indicated.Should you need any further information, do not hesitate to contact our General Counsel's office at ###-###-#### or email us Kindly indicate whether, upon your review of this response, the matter can officially be closed Thank you

The company just ignored me instead of asking to talk to the other person on the mortgage.This dispute is not resolvedThe Money Source never attempted to talk to the other person on themortgageThe decline was unfair because the company was responsible for asking for the information they neededI never refused to give them any informationThe other person on the mortgage never refused to be involved in the refinance

This company took over my mortgage loan a year agoI have an escrow/impound account to pay my property taxes and homeowners insurance with themI was notified by my county assessor in May that my property taxes were in arrearsI had to contact The Money Source times to get them to pay my property taxes which included late feesThey did pay the late fees at no cost to meIn July I was notified by my homeowners insurance that my annual payment had not been received and I would be without coverage unless payment was submitted and was also informed that last years annual payment was days late so I was without coverage for daysI had to call The money source to remind them to submit payment

It is still not possible for me to pay my mortgage payment online without adding the late fee. If I don't have enough money to pay both the late fee and the mortgage payment, would that mean they would mark my credit as my mortgage being paid late because they credited part of the payment to the late fee? I should not have to enroll in ACH billing to be 100% certain that my payment is received on time with no additional charges. I should be able to pay my payment online without them making me have to pay the late payment at that particular time. No other mortgage company has ever had their online payment system set up this way.
