Thrifty Propane Reviews (157)

I so apologize for the inconvenience this has caused but this is a customer owned tank and we are not repair tanks, that is the customers responsibility and they can call any local repair to take a look and do the repairs The customer has a prebuy with us of gallons, and we are obligated to deliver propane but we do not repair tanks If the customer felt we were not servicing fast enough, they need to call a service company Our top priority is delivering propane Hope the customer understands Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because:They showed up 1/2/and then left as their equipment was frozen leaving us no choice as we were at 0% We found a solution to keep from freezingComing back on 1/3/was a pathetic attempt to try and make good on an already broken promise for emergency serviceWe would like to be reimbursed for the prepaid propane we still haveThat way Thrifty can sell to a new customer for higher profit and we can move on

I am rejecting this response because: I have reviewed the response from thrifty propane about my payoff for my refundAt no time did they advise me to sell my prepay to the buyers of my houseWhen I called them to ask about the payback, the ONLY thing I was told was it had to be in the form of a written requestI never signed any contract to know what the terms we'reAlso this started months ago, I had called for a fill, time had gone by and I called back when we had not heard from themIn that time a family member became terminally ill and the need arose for us to sell and move to WisconsinOur house sold in three days, very very quicklyAt that time I requested a paybackNothing more was told to mePaying back Les than half of what I had originally paid is really not called forHad they told me, I know I could have sold it to the buyers, but nothing was said to meThank you

Customer has since spoke to a CSR and a refund has been sent for the gallons PB GALLONS X = $+ TAX $NO HAZ FEE LEFT REFUND TOTAL $ Thank you for your patience

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/01/19) */ We regret the customer's unsatisfactory experience The customer must contact Thrifty if it would like the tank picked up and schedule a date and time for this Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2016/01/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) It is very difficult to communicate with this company Never return any call, they have an excuse for every thingThey never do the work in a simple wayLike giving the consumer hard time is part of their routineBecause of that, promises from this company is not guaranteed till it is doneCalled the company, they will call me back by the date and time of removal of the tankso, it is not finish as of now Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 9, 2016/02/12) */ We regret the customer's unsatisfactory experience Thrifty has scheduled for the tank to be picked up on 2-20-Thrifty will contact the customer on 2-20-when they are in route to pick up the tank Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (2000, 11, 2016/02/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) AS I mentioned before, so many times the company scheduled to remove the tank and never happenedThe driver should carry with him the paper work to remove the tank, also the propane gas, plus a refund of the money paidI will not call the company for any thing elsethe transaction should end 2/20/So it is yes with this conditions

I am rejecting this response because: My pre-buy receipt states nothing of the sortThere is zero (0) mention of any terms of agreement and/or cancellation feeWith that being said, I would like for the cancellation fee to be waived and reimbursedPlease see attached receipt for detailsThe attached receipt was emailed on Mon 3/18/2013, 12:PM by [redacted] I will gladly forward said email to the Revdex.com for arbitration effortsSide note: Why is it that Thrifty is so quick to respond to the Revdex.com and not their customers?

I am rejecting this response because: due to the unaccaptable delay, we have made arrangements with another propane supplier Our intent is to terminate any dealings with Thrifty Propane, and would like to receive a full repayment for the remaining balance of our pre-buy account The January pre-buy was for gals at a price of $1,We had a previous bals of apxgals, and they delivered gals., so we should have more than gals in the accountThank you for your asssistance, and we look foward to hearing from you [redacted]

We are not responsible for the ER fill from another company because they could not deliver to you fast enough either A refund check has been mailed You do own your own tank and are welcome to call another gas company if our delivery terms dont fit your needs

We apologize for the inconvenienceThrifty refunded the customer $on 1-12-17.Per the customer on 1-11-17, confirmed he would pay $for the first gallons The remainder for $will be paid on 2-3-

Consumer stated that the propane was delivered today.

I am rejecting this response because:Consumer still has not received the refund after a month since the business said they were processing it At this point, she will only accept a full refund for the full amount she paid

I am rejecting this response because: We called numerous times to report we were out of propane Your customer service representatives did not care, and never offered to help us in anyway We were forced to contact another company for an emergency fill, that they completed on December 22nd (they delivered only gallons to get us through until you showed up to fill the remainder of our gallon tank) Your driver showed up on December 28th, and only delivered gallons of propane This is far less than could have been added to the tank Apparently, Thrifty felt it acceptable to potentially let our family be without heat for a full week in below freezing temperaturesThe delivery was not within your stated maximum delivery window, and every time we called no one could provide any information on when you would arrive We filed a dispute with the credit card based on your companies lack of ability to deliver a pre-purchased item within the stated delivery time, and due to the need to purchase this item from another company In fact, you still owe us approximately gallons of propane from what we bought last year Either deliver our remaining balance immediately, or send a refund check for those gallons We will no longer do business with your company, and demand either a full refund or delivery of goods While I would love to request that you also compensate us or the $emergency delivery fee, at this point I would be happy with simply getting what we've already paid for through your company (via refund, or delivery of propane)

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2016/05/31) */ We regret the customer's unsatisfactory experience Thrifty delivered to the consumer on 5-12-16, gallons of propane Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 11, 2016/06/07) */ Revdex.com received call from consumerAlthough she is still is dissatisfied with the business' customer service, she has received the propaneShe considers the matter resolved Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (2000, 12, 2016/06/07) */

Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (2000, 6, 2016/01/19) */ Well, after more than phone calls to Thrifty Propane over this entire week, a supervisor in the Customer Care department put a note in my file in the company computer that my tank would be filled today (Friday, Jan 15th)Then a customer care representative called me about 11:30AM to tell me I would get my tank filled todayHooray! At 12:(noon) a driver from Thrifty showed up and put gallons of gas in my gallon tank (it was at 5%)I had called the company three times this morning, including to Phyllis (whom I never really got to talk with as her phone ALWAYS goes to voice mail, even when she is there and not on the phone) before I got a call back from a non-supervisory customer representative This company is VERY difficult to do business withThey do have the lowest priced gas, but there is a reason for that: they have no delivery people, and they have no real customer care (yes, they answer the phone sometimes, but they do not know what is going on, and they have no authority to do anything)BEWARE if you deal with themOnly YOU the consumer knows if you want to take a chance with heating your home with them Oh, and for those of you smart enough to be reading this, this is how their DELIVERY POLICY worksThey quote to BUSINESS DAYS AFTER you place your order to make a deliveryMy experience is that in winter, it is always at least days and closer to business days (or more)Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays do NOT count as business daysSo, you place your order on Friday (anytime during the day), Jan Their delivery calendar does not start ticking until Monday, Jan (day 1)So, if they take the max number of business days to deliver, they will deliver on Tues, Jan 26thThis is calendar days after you placed your orderIf holidays are in the interval, it is even longerEstimate it will take you CALENDAR WEEKS to get your gasYou should call when you have 40% remaining in your tank to be safe (and in really cold weather that may not be enough depending on your usage)Good luck Thank you Thrifty for at least getting me my tank filledI consider this ticket closed, but I'm really not satisfied due to their complete lack of communication with the customer

Customer placed an order on 12/4/and we delivered gallons on 12/12/- business days Customer called again on 1/15/for propane, thank at 24% and CSR did alert customer it could be up to business days for delivery Today is the 10th business day

We are mailing the customer a check # [redacted] in the amount of $4035.35. Customer was called and notified that the refund check is being sent.

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2016/01/25) */ We regret the customer's unsatisfactory experience On 1-8-16, Thrifty issued a full refund to the customer in the amount of $

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to mePhone calls were made to thrifty, and I was disconnected numerous times when put on holdTerrible at responding or delivering in the timeline that they set forwardCase is resolvedThank you Revdex.com, without you I would still be waiting on my tank

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/02/22) */ We regret the customer's unsatisfactory experience Thrifty delivered gallons to the customer on 2-17- Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 7, 2016/02/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

(Revdex.com - Consumer filed second complaint, which appears to be a continuation of previous dispute Combining cases and adding detail for rebuttal.)I am rejecting this response because: Had a complaint just get resolved for this issue but the company did not come through with their promiseI received the tank and was told that the propane fill would be delivered between a week and two weeksIt has been almost a month now and they haven't completed thisI originally purchased the tank and propane fill on 5-30-Follow up using the last case number of complaint # [redacted] Thank you Consumer’s Desired Resolution: Would like my already paid for order delivered and discount for all of this hassle
