[redacted] received one phone message from [redacted] the last week of July when he was on vacation He called her and left a message, as well as sending her an email: “Hello Ms [redacted] , I wanted to reach out to you and inquire when would be a good day for us to get together and have your vehicle inspected like we spoke of beforeI would make myself available either Tuesday or Thursday this week late afternoonPlease feel free to contact me on my cell at [redacted] so we may scheduleThanks, ***.” That offer is still open

Dear ***, Tire Discounters operations team and ASE certified technicians have reviewed the invoice provided by Mr [redacted] The invoice estimate was incomplete, therefore, Tire Discounters contacted Mr [redacted] , owner of [redacted] Auto Repair who prepared the estimate Mr [redacted] stated Mr [redacted] came in to his store to diagnose the cause of his vehicle vibration Mr [redacted] inspected the vehicle and determined the lower ball joints have a half inch movement (therefore operating incorrectly), as well as, the power steering rack and pinion leaking on the passenger side causing a foul smell Mr [redacted] ’s diagnosis is that his ball joints have substantial play, and rack and pinion leakage, are causing Mr [redacted] ’s vehicle to vibrate Mr [redacted] stated that the wheels and tires were not the cause of Mr [redacted] ’s vibration issue Tire Discounters is denying any responsibility for the repairs recommended

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I do not accept store credit I did not pay for road hazard with store credit I want a cashiers check or money order. The management agreed to the prorate See attached Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The business just admitted the error and is using a technicality as a reason to delayIts been over days since I was promised the refundHow can this business have such a high rating with the Revdex.com? Isn't this exactly what the Revdex.com is supposed to warn people about? If corporations ever wonder why small shops provide better service, this is a shining exampleTire Discounters response is just kicking the can down the roadThey know they owe me money, what is to investigate? The only contact I have ever received from TD, was after posting online reviews and contacting the Revdex.comThat was weeks ago when I was told it was under review againStill no one can tell me when I get the refund? Just that they are investigating whether or not they should stand by their word! I am frankly amazed at their response! I mean really, if they say its gonna be resolved this week, refund it, then respond to the Revdex.com that they refunded me the money owed Regards, [redacted] ***

Mr [redacted] brought his Chevy Express mileage 157,in for an oil change, brake inspection as well as a suspension inspectionDuring the inspection, the technician found that one of the axle seals was leakingTire Discounters provided the customer with a written estimate of repairsMr [redacted] approved the repairsWhile the technician was repairing the vehicle the bolt that holds the pinion pin in sheared off during removalWe advised the customer that this was something Tire Discounters could no longer repairShe was recommended to bring the vehicle to her local Chevy dealershipTire Discounters did receive a copy of what the customer claims is and invoice for the repairTire Discounters attempted to locate “ [redacted] ” to speak with the technician about the invoiceTire Discounters was unable to find information on this company anywhereOn said invoice there are a lot of questionable charges that are not required in a repair of an axle seal (sand blast and paint diff, rear wheel bearingsEtc.)Tire Discounters will only except responsibility for the broken pinion bolt and seal The repair of the wheel bearings would be required when the axle was low on fluid causing the bearings to overheatThe charge of the rental was something the customer made the arrangements for, approved and didn’t receive prior approval from Tire Discounters to reimburse, so Tire Discounters is not reimbursing Mr [redacted] for thisOn the invoice provided the seal was $and the labor for the removal of the bolt was $for a total of $which Tire Discounters will refund the customerTire Discounters is not responsible for any other repairs or chargesMr [redacted] will be required to sign a release of claims prior to the refund to being processed

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not completely resolve my complaint For your reference, details appear below While the business did repair the vehicle with ball bearings in the passenger side free of charge, there was still slight play in the ball joint, and the business refused to repair it, as per Mike Smith, RM, who stated that it didn't require repair at this point It was unclear if the ball joint would be covered for repairs if it should get worse There was also language in the receipt about the current repairs superseding the repairs from 9/2016, and unfortunately at the time of writing this, I do not have the paperwork in front of me to determine if the newest repairs will be covered under any warranty, but I would like to have it documented in this conversation with the Revdex.com The other issue that was not resolved was the fact that we spent over $1,for shocks and struts that we believe may or may not have been necessary, but which we were told it would fix the noises we were hearing in the front end, which it did not since they were not from the shocks and struts It also does not make up for the hours of time spent trying to resolve this, as well as the inconveniences we experienced with all the traveling back and forth between garages, and having only one vehicle at several times in the last year I called every day (except for the weekend) from 5/through 5/16, with some days calling several times a day to try to get a response from a manager both at the regional and corporate levels The entire situation made me physically ill, and even in the end, the management was not apologetic, they were just trying to give as little as possible to resolve the issue The entire situation required me to talk to an area manager, and at least two regional managers, as well as two people at the corporate level, and unanswered messages left for the customer service department manager at the corporate level I will add that the service manager and another employee at the location who did the repair, were very kind and helpful, and it is my hope that this repair was the final repair we have to have for the problems that started in 2/ As a final resolution for my complaint, I would accept in writing, in plain language, a detailed response regarding the ball joint and the potential for repairs in the future, as well as confirmation as to whether there is any further warranty on the newest repair of the ball bearings, and if so, what the end date would be for that In addition, I am willing to accept a $refund check due to the fact that I still maintain that we paid for shocks and struts which were supposed to resolve the noise issue, and which did not do so Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint Their reply is repetitive, rhetorical, but also parrot-like - no offer of compromise was ever madeThey refused to acknowledge my letter much less respond to itThen, they lie to Revdex.com advising they had made two attempts to contact me when that never, ever happened (I have definitive proof of that)I never made any comment that their employee broke any TD policies (espnot knowing what they specifically are referring to)Rather, I complimented their store manager ( [redacted] C.) in his attempt to resolve my concern and it was TD Corporate who denied that & who showed no empathy for a customer concernThey would rather lose thousands of dollars of future business from a long-time customer (I have copies of all orders I have ever done there) rather than grant a small $rebate for obvious excessive chargesThat makes no sense whatsoever and proves my point without saying anymoreI might go back to [redacted] C again for tires/other work, might not...I'm on the fence at this point as I DO have principles wherein TD Corporate evidently has noneI would like to know who is specifically responding from their office so I can "face my accuser"Remove the "veil" and show yourself (man/woman behind the curtain) Regards, [redacted]

I would like a refundDon p [redacted] said he was going to fix my car then he changed his mindNo one explained to me that I wouldn't be getting an alignmentThat was the point of buying four tires and coming to the home of the free alignment which happens to be bolognaThats advertising and I want a refund because ever sinxe I left tire discounters my car has had nothing but problems

Tire Discounters would like to request a copy of the repair and any other documentation in order Tire Discounters to investigate this claim

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]When we dropped off our car to be fixed at the Tire Discounter lot the ignition key was operable due to the fact that it was able to use the key to record the mileage and enter that information on the Repair OrderOur car remained on Tire Discounters’ lot from that time until they called us with information that the ignition key would not go all the way into the cylinderSince the damage occurred while in Tire Discounters possession and under its full control then its position that the cylinder was worn out is unbelievableIt worked for us for the entire time period we have owned the car, approximately five years Tire Discounters provided no evidence that it diagnosed the key cylinder for the purpose of determining the cause of the key not going all the way into the cylinder; it just made an unsupportable allegationWe believe the problem was caused by Tire Discounters due to the fact we overheard the employees asking for the correct key for our car which we inferred to mean that someone used a wrong key and damaged the cylinder and was looking for the correct key We would understand if a wrong key was used and jammed up thebut, or begin a new sentence.">ignition as long as the company agreed to fix the problemIfthe Tire Discounter company does not take responsibility for this incident that happened on theirthen is usually preceded by a comma, e.g.: I went home, then I had a nap.">lot, then wewill have to contact a lawyerI have tried to contact the company multiple times and they have never officially responded to me until now and we have still not come to an agreement on this issue Regards, [redacted] ***

The district manger Steve had me meet him at another location (Hixson, Tn) to watch the video on the 4/19/ We stood in the bay area where the mechanics were servicing other vehicles it was hard to see and at that time being distracted, I asked for a copy and he refusedI was told it was hour recording and feel a suitable location should have been provided There was no recording of the parking lot recording when I returned to the store that evening in questioned, when the check engine light came on while pulling off the lot from TD I am enclosing two pictures for TD to see and Revdex.com The first one is taken on 4/6/by an employee at the FtO store, I believe it is strange that the employee using his personal phone to photograph The second picture is take by Ford while discovering that the fuel system is having to be replaced While meeting with Steve on 4/19/he accused me of adding the DEF to the system, while I was told by Les C [redacted] 4/7/the TD did add during the service I have been a customer since the store open and have had issues with being told I needed additional services only to find out later that I did not I have spoke to Chris and Jonathan both about the issues of wanting to repair something that was not needed I met later this evening with Ford and possibly have more information to add

Tire Discounters stands behind our first comment to this claimNo policies were broken by any employee at the [redacted] location on this matter

They made it sound like they are paying half until I said something then they exposed their details which require me to pay the full parts price and then half the labor Regarding a third party servicer commentI'm just as skilled in changing oil as the next personThey failed to mention that all the recent one where done by themThey want to keep bringing up old lapse in oil changes in the pastI don't understand why the set ice manager who knows my family and I acknowledge the issue and had no problem fixing their error from prior services I understand that he had to get the approval from upper managementIt's amazing to know that it went from no oil leaking to a steady amount daily nowThat doesn't happen overnight unless something was doneThey have always fixed their errors in the past and management wanted to didnthe same this time because they are on the ground floor and see the true issue at handNot what someone is reviewing on a computer from their deskThey are mechanics not computer recsWe are all human and make mistakes as in the past oil plug issueMy mistake is allowing them to put an oversized plug in , in the pastI never thought with a company like tire discounters I had to cover my basis and documentation trail so wellIt amazing the level of care that goes away when you succeed in corporate America
