Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Can you please have someone from the business contact me so we can make arrangements to return the original equipment to them.
I would ask that you keep this matter open until the issue is totally resolved.
Regards,
*** ***

We're happy to discuss the matter with the customer however we have no record of him in our system, nor a record of any emails or phone messages he may have left us
He is welcome to contact us for service however prior to that, he needs to complete an online order form at
our website KarbKing.com so that we and the system will recognize him as a customer and not reject any electronic contact methods
If he did complete an online order form and it was somehow purged from our database, he can call during business hours starting Tuesday, April and leave a detailed message and someone will get back to him
We apologize for this e-snafu

Carb Kings terms and conditions as listed on our website and agreed to buy everyone placing an order through our website stipulate that all shipments are FOB Pittsburgh that means the carpeting is not liable for the carburetor once it leaves our premises it is the responsibility of the shipper and
the recipient to file whatever claims necessary to recoup money from any damages incurred
In certain cases we have provided at no additional cost additional parts or services including in this case a new carburetor to fill the customers order while the claim is being processedThis is not something we're required to do based on our terms and conditions however we understand the unfortunate nature of our unit damaged in shipping and the need to get back on the roadUnfortunately we cannot control the shippers nor can we control the methods in which those shippers responded to claims whether they be timely or otherwiseAs such if we receive contact from a customer stating that the car was damaged in shipping we will review the situation on a case by case basis which we did in this case and respond accordingly
We have gone above and beyond in this matter to provide the customer with a totally complete, undamaged, usable carburetor pending the outcome of the claimWe were not notified of the payout nor with the customers desire was to do hence we sent a Nother usable carburetor
Should the customer desire another outcome it's a simple matter of contacting us via email or telephone and for me as of his desires after-the-fact to date we have not heard from the customer since the second car but was delivered to him as a courtesy other then this Revdex.com complaint
We are willing to continue to work with these customers to ensure their satisfaction however we do have our limits within those terms and conditions and fiscally

First, the time limit as not expired--we are on the 13th day of allotted
Second, our terms and conditions preclude refunds, but we are willing to provide the parts necessary for repair at no cost to the customer

The customer is mistaken.
First off this matter is several months old and we have been attempting to deal with Mr*** for that entiretyWe have sent him numerous carburetors including the last one which while it wasn't his was rebuilt and tuned to the specifications he
provided on his online order form
Per our terms and conditions on our website that the customer agreed to one place and his online order through our form we cannot and do not offer cash refunds of any kind and have made the customer well aware of this on several occasionsBus his comment that we offer him a cash refund is simply not trueWe would however offer him an in-store credit towards future work in the amount of his build if that will make the situation go away however our redoubled her efforts have proven that this probably won't be the case--though the offer still stands

The customer did indeed order a carburetor for his boat which we've determined upon receiving was in automotive carburetor that needed significant parts to make it Marine capableAfter inspecting the carburetor tearing it down and putting it through our cleaning process we then order the necessary
parts to convert this older carburetor for Marine use
While the parts were in transit customer obviously became concerned and file this complaint in a preemptory mannerHis parts did indeed come in after this complaint was filed, and we emailed the customer stating that he now had a choice:
Either we will convert his automotive carburetor to Marine use per the original order form test and ship it to him or we will await the outcome of this complaint process and the suggestion of the Revdex.com as to a remedy
To date we have heard no definitive answer from the customer regarding our query
Despite that his carburetor remains complete and ready to ship at our shop--we merely await is advise

Once again we stand by our previous response and point out that all carburetors are shipped FOB PittsburghThis means that the shipping company and the customer are liable for any damages and are responsible for filing any claims thereon--this is clearly stated in the terms and conditions agreed to when placing an order on our website
Moreover we were lie on the information provided by the customer to build a carburetor we feel is appropriate based on our expertise for his or her given applicationThis expertise is based on years of experience and maybe in deference to what the customer was originally considering however it is our belief that it is proper for the specific applicationIf we merely followed a novice request carbs would not have the proper tune nor CFM and other requirements for specific applications.
As to returns: if a carburetor was Misshipped or a customer would like to return his or her carburetor for another one we will do that depending on the circumstances however we cannot merely blindly send out another carburetor without receipt of the first one, for there is no guarantee we will receive the initial unit back
Once again we do our best to satisfy all customers however when a situation like this arises we must fall back on the terms and conditions each and every customer agrees to when placing their order

I have nothing more to say that hasn't been already saidkarb King is saying one thing and I'm saying another
I never got shippingLabels
I never got a carb that is useable for my application
The company is so inept that they lost May carb to begin with and now they would have us all believe that some how I'm the wrong doer here!

How the customer can come up with such conjecture that the unit received was not worked on is beyond us true it is not his original carburetor however as we said his was damaged in transit to us or prior to shipment.as we do relatively high volume we cannot ensure that every detail of every bill is passed on to the consumer.we do however make every effort to ensure cards at completed as ordered even if we have to substitute parts at our expense.Beyond that we point to the terms and conditions of the customer agreed to upon submitting his online order form regarding our policies of among other things no cash refunds

Will the business-Karb King, repair the carburetor to the specifications that I had requested from them, a Holley, 650cfm spreadbore with vacuum secondaries and an electric choke? If they will make these repairs at their expense with a guarantee that the carburetor will work as any other they produce I would be willing to accept that to close this case.

Once again, we've responded in a timy fashion--on the 13th of the days allotted by the Revdex.com
We sent the customer a carb which was rebuilt and subsequently damaged in shipmentAll shipments are FOB Pittsburgh and clearly marked so on our online order form, thus the shipping company and the customer are responsible for the unit once it leaves our shop
Regardless, we offered to send the customer replacement parts at no charge, which he agreed to, but then broke his promise, filing this complaint instead
We have violated no contractual agreement, on the contrary--we stand by the terms and conditions listed and agreed to by the customer upon placing his orderIf anyone Is in violation of those, it is the customer in filing this complaint despite our agreement and his acceptance of our terms and conditions

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First of all, this company is a jokeThey lead you to believe one thing, yet do anotherThat’s why they’ve had complaints filed against them already besides all the numerous bad complaints against them on the internetMy fault I didn’t look into these guys closer to begin with. They can say all this stuff they want but I have emails to prove otherwise, including a picture they sent with the junk carburator they said that went unclaimed and they said had puncture marks in boxAlso, said they would open said box to inspect it to make sure everything was alright and ship it to meWell, a week later I received the same box with the same puncture marks in the box so they never even open it up to begin with, just sent it backI expect my original deal back, my dollars plus my perfectly good working double pumper I sent them to begin with, otherwise that’s considered stealing from someone as far as I’m concerned( my wife, son, and friends who rode in my car when that carb was on the car and can attest to the fact that, that carb worked just fine compared to them saying it was in poor conditionThe only thing in poor condition is the way these said Gentlemen handle their businessThese so called gentlemen said they offered this and that, they didn’t offer a darn thingThey’re not even respectable enough to get ahold of ya when they said they were going tooI have emails to prove that too! I have the names of a couple lawyers in that area that I will retain under our lawyer service at *** and just let them handle the case against this sub par companyI will not tolerate to being ripped off by some mismanaged out for themselves company

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed
the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My view on the matter is all summed up in the pictures I attached showing the carb that they sent mePlease review the pic's!!! The carb I ordered was supposed to be a ready to run rebuilt Holley converted to a with dual feeds, center hung floats, vacuum secondaries, electric choke, rebuilt and tuned to my cars specificationsWhat I received was this junkyard carb that has the choke horn ground off it it with a hand grinder, no acellerator pump cam to actuate the pump, crusty, dirty and rotted parts everywhere, with no signs of any rebuilding at all!! I had one phone conversation in August with ** about the first completely wrong junk carburetor they sent me and also at that time expressed my condolences for the person they lostSo that was not the issue! The issue is that they have sent me nothing but junk that was not rebuilt!! Just look at the pictures Karb King! "HOW CAN YOU DENY IT" After waiting months I have since purchased a new carb because the Karb King refused to honor their commitment to built the proper useable carb!! The only resolution is to refund my $170.00.*** ***

Regarding the first carbs sent to the customer: we as carburetor professionals reserve the right to determine what carburetion needs a customer requires based on the information he or she provides on our online order formWe take this information and determine the exact specifications needed for optimal carburetionWe also take into consideration whether or not the customer has made a specific request such as 'must keep the choke' which was not made in this caseAs such we built a carburetor that not only met the customers needs but exceeded them based on the information provided on our online order form
As the customer was not satisfied with that carburetor despite our acumen at building them and applying them to a given application, we took back the carburetor and built the customer yet another unit this time with electric choke that he neglected to mention he required in the first order formWe did so in our cost and shipped said to him via USPS insured priority mail
Apparently the unit was damaged in transitAs all carburetors are shipped FOB Pittsburgh the customer is responsible for filing a claim against USPS for said damage we are not liableThis is clearly stated in the terms and conditions the customer agreed to when placing his order
Regardless we agreed to provide the customer with the necessary choke Which was broken at our cost, and while the customer agreed to this satisfaction he then filed this claim with the Revdex.com in deference to our agreement.
As for the loose screws that the customer alleges are present we point to the fact that we use nylon washers on every bolt which are susceptible to extreme temperature and altitude fluctuations after their initial torquingThis is why included in our instruction sheet placed in the box with his carburetor we tell our customers to check every bolt and screw for tightness before installing the carburetor.
As for the cosmetic condition we point to the fact that our standard rebuilding custom tune does not include a full cosmetic restorationThe cosmetic condition of the carburetor in no way affects its performance however it does affect its industry low pricingHave a customer wanted a full cosmetic restoration we would've done so an additional cost with additional time needed to do soWe point of both the information contained on our website as well as the ultimate carburetor blog for a thorough description of our standard rebuild and custom tune
Finally it is our position that this Revdex.com claim is baseless and without merit and while we try to work with this customer, he just as described in his initial email back to us, attempted to leverage his position with us via threats and not any real factual basis for his claimDespite that we attempted to work with him and he still breach that agreement
As such we must point to our adherence to the terms and conditions he agreed to when placing his order

We respond to this very complained several times in the past--we will reiterate what we said during those times:
We have made at least three attempts to satisfy this customer and provide him with a unit that works for his application
We
built a carburetor that satisfies all of the options he selected on our online order form, it seems that throughout the build process and certainly after it, the customer made changes to what was otherwise a firm order
Despite that we still made every attempt to satisfy that order and those changes
If the carburetor was damaged in shipping the customer must file a claim with the USPS all of our products are shipped FOB Pittsburgh, and, once our units leave our shop is the responsibility of the customer and the shipper to ensure damage free deliveryKarb King, LLC, its parent companies and subsidiaries are in no way responsible for damage that occurs during shippingThis is clearly spelled out in the terms and conditions that each customer must agree to when placing an order.
Despite that, we were, and remain willing, to repair said damages in shipping though they were not our fault, but we cannot do so at our costAs each package we ship is ensured the customer may upon filing a claim and receiving payment on that claim compensate us for such repairs

You give your customers a choice to either mail their carb or choose from your basement of cores That's in your Ad I wanted my original carb rebuilt I clearly did not choose your basement of cores otherwise I would not have sent my own carburetorAfter waiting for weeks, you ship back a different carburetor without an electric choke Just because I'm in CA it doesn't mean I don't need a choke Who are you to decide? I like my electric choke during morning start up And I like my original carburetor even more I guess customers are never right with you guys You want me to change to a hand operated manual choke? Are you going to provide the manual choke kit? Who's going to install it? What should I do with the existing wires that connects to my electrical choke? Snip it?
Regarding the second old carb you sent back to me How can a freshly rebuild carburetor be missing parts like a fuel line inlet, primary throttle linkage and multiple screws loose It doesn't even appear to have been tested and wet flowed like your Ad says It's dusty outside and inside the main body shaft. I always thought a rebuilt carb would be clean and tight with all the parts for optimal performance How am I supposed to install this door stop without the inlet or with screws loose? There's no way shipping can unloosen the screws or lose parts And don't tell me the missing parts are in the boxThey are not in the boxAll I found inside the box was not my original carb and pieces of cracked electric choke
All I want is a refund or my original Holley 1850-(3445) carburetor rebuilt with an electric choke

We have made every attempt to communicate and satisfy an obviously disgruntled customer with his own agenda.
Once again, we stand by our products and services and while we have made multiple attempts to remedy the matter to the customer satisfaction it is patently obvious that no such remedy short of a refund will indeed make that happen
Even the aforementioned as well as our previous response to this complaint we stand by the terms and conditions the customer agreed to one placing his order

Once again, we've made every effort to make things right, despite the fact that we are not liable for damage incurred in shipping, as posted in the Terms & Conditions on each and every of our web pages, and agreed to when any order is placedEvery carb is shipped FOB Pittsburgh, insured, at our expense, and it is the responsibility of the customer to file a claim/recoup damages in the event they occur in transit--as these apparently did
We did make an effort to make things right, however the customer continues to be dissatisfied and has yet to mitigate the damaged by filing a claim with the usps, rather than try and extract it from us

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. After several stories and inconsistent accounts of what happenedI was told my carb was damagedI have requested documentation that my carb was damaged. I was told that they would send me picturesI have never received thisThe company's deceptive and criminal practices are well publicized on the internetThey have provided similar, if not exact, responses relative to other consumers they have dealt with and ripped offThe majority of these responses (with others) occurred well before their "reported death in the company". I advised them in an email that I would return their junk carburetor to them upon receipt of a functioning carburetor or documentation that my carb was damagedI even offered them a credit card # to hold as collateral if they had concerns of me keeping this piece of junkI do not want any carb "sent to me"I want MY carburetor returned along with a full refund of my moneyI do not feel I should spend more money shipping them back their junk parts so that they can send me another piece of garbage that they claim has been "rebuilt"
