Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:    I was told by some ,the manager passed the photo's off to when I called, told me the same thing as they told you.  I could not tell her how to reach my son who owns the house, I do not know since he moved.  I told her he has a tendency to dump everything in a dumpster when he sells a house.  He did this to his historical home that I took care of for five years until it sold.  That is how I knew what he would do.  She also said she would try to reach him and call me back in a couple of days.  Three days later she called and informed me she could not return my items nor fix the ones they destroyed.  She ask me what they could do to solve the problem and I told her they either needed to replace what was left and fix what they damaged or a equivalent of a reimbursement.  At that point she refused to say a word that was when I told her I was contacting Revdex.com, Attorney Generals Office and Division of Abuse to the Elderly, without receiving any answer even at this  point and I admit I was and still am upset over this fiasco.  I hung up the phone. At the same time I started having  mass confusion with phone transfers due to [redacted] vs. land lines it took me forever to get a  phone.  Internet was installed due to [redacted] phone not until 8th of June.  As if that was not bad enough I end up with a phone bill totaling over 600.00.  It took the Cape Girardeau branch of [redacted] a couple of hours to untangle the confusion and returned my call.  I paid them at [redacted] what I owed them.  They assured me a new bill would be sent out.  Instead of a bill my phone was disconnected. I have yet to receive a bill or email through the internet.  Then last week my pc bit the dust.  Fortunately, I did meet a pc repair man who handled the problem for a small fee.  I may be 70 yrs. old but far from being senile.  People just assume elderly women do not have much intellect.  I'm sure you know,  "never to assume and what it means if you do".  Thank you for your help it is much appreciated.Sincerely,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: until the required repairs are made and are acceptable to me, the complaint remains open.

The time both of the workers spent talking about their personal endeavors handicapped my whole move.  If they would have been concentrated on my move more outcomes may have been more favorable.  This caused careless affects to my personal items along with dirtying some of my things as well as my newly painted walls. My walls also sustained some dents that will have to be filled and painted. The bottom line is that the workers were careless and need a whole lot more training if they are to continue with this company. I see no satisfaction of any kind related to a discount for that.  Two Men and A Truck should be ashamed of themselves.

I do not accept their offer. It was not just scratched walls. I also have damage to my stair rail, and my steps. By dropping the treadmill they chipped my stair rail, steps, and damaged my wall going up my stairs. I sent them pictures of the damage. They also took a chip of wood out of my front door bringing the treadmill in. This house is custom built, and very expensive. They offered me $50 which is not enough to pay a wood expert to fix my damaged wood, and a painter to paint my walls. I have never received a check yet, and I would never accept only $50. I want to hire someone to fix these items, and I want  them to pay for it. They never should have sent sick guys to move my items. They were hacking, and coughing. They were out of breath carrying the treadmill up the stairs, and weak from being sick. I had to grab the treadmill once because they were dropping it. This is a brand new house that I custom built, and I paid a lot for it. They were not careful. They did not pad the stair rail even though they had plenty of blankets in their truck. When I pointed out the damage one guy said to the other guy get the paperwork signed so we can get out of here.

When we moved Mr. [redacted] we instantly noticed that there were more items initially stated in the estimate. Despite the fact that he and Ms. [redacted] (ex-wife) were arguing over many items being moved which hindered our guys to move their items. We spent 5.75 hours moving his items while he was...

verbally harassing our movers and CSR's in the process. We also had to make another stop to [redacted] that was not initially stated in any of the conversations we had with him. After the move, Mr. [redacted] signed all the necessary acknowledgements and acceptance areas of the Bill of Lading, as well as the Customer Service Agreement. He had hired his own "unpacking" service for the back end of the move. The company he hired appeared inexperienced, clumsy and intoxicated when our movers got there. Rightfully so, we decline to take responsibility for the damages presented by Mr. Goodman. In good faith, we have decided to offer Mr. [redacted] 20% of the final move price back to him. We take much pride in our 96.5% customer satisfaction rating and our amazing staff of movers. We do not take damages or stolen property lightly and take many measures to ensure that these issues don't arise. We appreciate any and all feedback and hope that this issue can be resolved promptly and justifiably.

I am rejecting this response because: I had 27' of MATCHING quartz countertop before Two Men and a Truck were hired as professional movers. I paid a lot of money to move the countertop and kitchen cabinets 2.6 miles. At the start of the move, the countertop was carelessly placed on a dolly with the heavy section of the countertop hanging over the edge of the dolly and the 36" sink cutout in the center of the dolly. The weight of the heavy countertop with no support underneath, fell IMMEDIATELY from the dolly. I was told by Thomas, the director of the 3 movers, not to worry as I had purchased $25,000 worth of valuation coverage. Thomas and I spent almost an hour on the phone with his supervisor Tren, discussing whether the men would agree to move the rest of the countertop. It was finally settled that they would move the countertop. After the truck was loaded, I drove the 2.6 miles to the move destination and waited for the truck. It took OVER 90 minutes for the truck to arrive (I drove the distance in less than 10 minutes). The movers claimed they were stuck by a train and deducted 30 minutes from the move. That still left two hours of time spent with Tren on the phone at $174.00 per hour. I am requesting a REFUND of $374.00 -the two hours spent discussing whether my move would be completed. After the move was completed and I diligently PAID IN FULL, I requested $2,885.00 to replace the section of countertop in the kitchen so that ALL PIECES OF QUARTZ MATCH. Two Men & Truck offered to replace only the 8' section with a QUARTZ REMNANT and knowingly admitted the countertop would not match. This is unreasonable;  the valuation coverage information that I received at the time of the move specifically states that the broken items would be REASONABLY repaired or compensated. In order for my to purchase an additional 8' section of the SAME COLOR countertop, I would need to purchase an ENTIRE SLAB of quartz. This would be the $2,885.00.Two Men & a Truck are claiming that THEY are the valuation coverage- there is NO INSURANCE COMPANY. I am requesting that Two Men & a Truck be responsible for their actions and honorably settle my claim. I am requesting compensation of $3,259.00 to cover the wasted time during the move ($174 x 2hours=$374.00) and a matching quartz countertop ($2,885.00) of which I OWNED at the beginning of the move.Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.Sincerely,Carolyn M[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. This gesture would have been better received had it been offered before I had to file a complaint with the Revdex.com and go through my credit card to dispute the charges.  They need to focus more on customer service before they get chased by other organizations.  I will still NEVER use them again, nor recommend them to anybody.  The most unprofessional, under-qualified and irresponsible organization that I have ever had the misfortune to work with.

I am rejecting this response because:
The papers the they gave me with the terms also say that we could fill a claim on any damage property that happen during the move. They should also should carry insurance as a moving company.  It should not matter who packed the items, they had put the items on the their truck and that makes them responsible for the items. The guitar case that is damage, there was something heavy on that to make the lock brake.  Every other moving company has insurance that pays for damage property that was on their truck. The moves unpacked one of he trucks in the garage and it is stacked as a hazard. Also the boxes were marked fragile, and the movers placed them upside down and things on top of them. My son's trophy is broken now because of the carelessness of the movers. I have read some of the reviews from this company and it looks like they have a lot of damage reports that they have not paid for. I would like the items to be replaced or payed for the items there were damage.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

From our Terms & Conditions- Mover's Liability:
Furniture or other articles made from pressboard or particleboard are
relatively fragile, and not suitable for transportation after being assembled.
Therefore, unless the article has been fully disassembled before the...

Mover
takes possession of it, the Mover assumes no liability for any damage to
any article made from pressboard or particleboard. The shipper may
tender such articles to the carrier without prior disassembly, but solely at
the shipper's own risk, and the shipper thereby waives and releases all
claims for damage to that article against the Mover, its agents, employees,
officers, successors and assigns.
While moving the customer's partially disassembled desk, the item fell apart under its own weight, due to structural integrity and inherent weakness. Per our Terms, Mover shall not be liable for this claim. I am sorry to give this news, and wanted to help the customer in any way possible. We did contact the manufacturer of the desk, and forwarded the customer the contact information to order replacement parts.

My issue is that the second move (5 May 17) was necessary due solely to the business's mistake / overlooking of our household items that were left behind from the originally agreed upon move (3 May 17).  We were contractually obligated to the new owners of the home to be completely moved out of the house by the evening of 5 May 17.  I felt compelled to agree to the business's conditions for moving our possessions that they overlooked in the first place. The business's advertising indicates something like ... "We treat you like we would treat our grandmother."  That was certainly my experience!
