Review: Three months ago I began receiving multiple phone calls per day from United Auto Credit asking for a person named "[redacted]." For the first month, every call I answered I would inform the operator that they had the wrong number; however, instead of removing my number from their database as requested, the operator would begin to ask me for my personal information, which I would refuse to give. This has continued for months. I stopped answering any calls from any unknown callers, which lead to many many voice messages from United Auto Credit all asking for [redacted]. I wrote a long detailed letter to their HR department asking for this to stop, but again, the only response I received was an emailing asking me for my personal information. Today at work, I received a text message, from them to "[redacted]", saying that they were at my job, in my parking lot, looking at my car, and coming for me next. As a single female, I know a threat when I hear one, and that was a text meant to be threatening.Desired Settlement: Never call me again. This is either a scam to fish for my personal data or you need to improve your buisness practises to avoid getting scammed by the "[redacted]'s" of the world.

Review: In May 2014 I purchased a car from B&N Auto Sales in Sewell, NJ The Vehicle was financed and later transferred to UNITED AUTO CREDIT.

In July 2014 the vehicle was involved in an accident.

The Vehicle was fully insured included gap coverage.

United Auto credit alleges that both insurance policies was not enough to cover the financed amount of the vehicle.

Total purchase price was 9412.71

Essurance paid 6809

Leaving a balance of 2603 (Gap insurance is not taken into account)

United Auto credit accelerated the INSTALLMENT loan, demanding $2605 due and owing

The contract does not provide an acceleration clause due to an accident.

The contract does not preclude future loan payments from being paid

Payments made by the insurance company are considered future payments.

Email contact with [redacted] confirms this is an installment loan

[redacted] also threatens "Wage Garnishment" and referral to an attorneys office. None of which happened and is a direct violation of PA Fair Credit Extension Uniformity Act, specifically Section B:5(iv)(v) the threat was never followed through, as well as "Wage Garnishment" is not a legal remedy within the state of PA. The Wage Garnishment threat is also a Violation of NJ FDCPA as well it has been well over a year.Desired Settlement: That this account be removed from my credit it report, or this account be brought to good standing, the charge-off removed, and the late payments removed as well.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Review: I purchased a vehicle and secured a loan through United Auto Credits. In February, I was notified by the company that payment had not been received, which was due to them not having the correct account information. To resolve the issue a double payment was made. They withdrew both payments from my checking account, verified by both the company itself and my bank. Now they are still trying to repo the car and refuse to refund the money that was in fact withdrawn. I have verification numbers from both the company and my bank showing that the payment was made and accepted.Desired Settlement: I would like to continue our contract as previously agreed upon. I would continue making the payments for the vehicle as I had been and would like to payoff the car per the original scheduled time. I don't want the car repossessed. I WANT the car.

Business

Response:

The contract was reassigned back to the original

seller/creditor. All communications concerning the contract and/or the vehicle should

be directed to them. We have responded directly to the consumer.

Regards,

I'm not saying I'm not satisfied with what you have done but just wondering if I will get my down payment back and If I can or will be able to get my belongings out of that car because I'm still not sure what went wrong

Business

Response:

The company did not repossess the vehicle from the consumer. Additionally, the company does not receive any portion of a down payment paid to a dealership. All questions concerning the vehicle and down payment need to be directed to the selling dealership.

Review: Purchased a vehicle on 6-2-2014, Was given all nessicary documentation and paperwork for contract and registration. On June 18, 2014 Wholesale Direct came and got the car. When they arrived they stated that the bank had asked them to come. My first payment was not due till 7-2-2014, therefore I could not of been delinquent. I called United Auto Finance on June 18, 2014 and spoke to DEE who in formed me that they would have not sent the dealer ship out to get the car there had never been a loan issued. Called wholesale direct and said I have my paperwork which states in tthe event the vehicle is requested returned I would get all payments made by myself. Mr. [redacted] wrote on the paperwork that I payed $3000.00 down however I only gave $ 2000.00 in the form of a check. The dealership says it doesnt have the money that the finance company has it. However the United Auto Credit says they dont have it and didnt have a loan . And on 6-27-2014 I received a letter dated 6-25-14 A week after the vehicle was taken a letter stating they would not finance me.Desired Settlement: Some one owes me my down payment of $2000.00 plus the cost of the rental car I had to get when my family of 6 kids were left stranded. I was forced to buy parts to fix cars that should not have been used and thus far have invested $900.00 plus in vehicles that were replaced by the one jeep commander. the dealership knew we were in need of a vehicle and prayed on us. United Auto Credit gave me a letter stated thank you for financing through us and now we are stuck with old cars eating us alive in repairs and up keep. With 6 children we just needed reliable transportation. We were basically robbed.

Thank you,

Completely miss handled my account, constantly harassed me and single handily ripped my credit to shreds. I voluntarily surrendered a vehicle months ago and still I am expected to pay full value of the vehicle. With no notification of sale. Being that it still remains on my credit report I can not get a bank to look at me though it reads the account was written off. Destroyed just drop this craziness you have the property I believe that is enough far is far.

Review: I bought a car on 4-1-14. They added an extra $900 for gap insurance. They told me the gap insurance was in case me car was totalled it would pay the remainder of the loan. Well I hit a deer and my car was totalled. I called UAC and explained my situation and she said once the insurance company got in touch with them and the loan was paid off the gap insurance will reimburse me. After I went online and saw the insurance company paid the loan off I called UAC to verify the gap. The lady I talked to told me I would DEFINITLY be reimbursed from the gap insurance but it would just take a few days to process and then they will send me a check refunding me. I asked so I am getting reimbursed from the gap? She said yes definitly. I called today 5-14-15 just to check on the refund. Another lady told me to hold. After 6 minutes she got back on the phone and said she saw in my notes on my account that I was told I would be reimbursed but unfortunately I will not be. The insurance company paid $44 too much and they will be sending me tht. She said she was sorry I was told wrong but they can not help me. I asked to speak to someone else a manager and she said sure but she will tell you the same thing I did. After another 10 minutes on hold a supervisor came on and told me the same thing. I was told wrong and they werent sending me anything for the gap. That they just cant pull money out of the air.

I called UAC 3 times and was told twice I would get my gap agreement and be reimbursed from the first call and refunded from the second. And they both said DEFINITLY. I dont feel I sould have to pay for their mistakes and they should live up to the agreement/contract and refund me. And to add the vin number on my lexus gs300 was for a es300. So I had trouble with my insurance company getting my payments right so I didnt even get what my car was worth cause the vin wasnt for my car.Desired Settlement: They live up to what they said and promised me when I said my papers and called them. I need the money I was promised. If you all are going to promise someone something and re asure them it is going to happen from 3 seperate people then do it.

Regards,

There was no resolution made. They called and said they were sending a prorated amount and I did not agree to it. $261.00. I dont know what theu meant by prorated or where they got the amount from. The guy just said that they told him to call and tell me that. So no its not resolved from my side and I need what I was promised.

Business

Response:

We are providing the requested resolution and have explained the terms and conditions of her GAP Waiver for clarification.

Review: I've become late on my payments for my truck and have asked for a payoff. In receiving the payoff it appears my down payment was never applied as the payoff is close to the amount of the truck before my down payment (down payment was $2500). I've requested an amort schedule and paperwork supporting this loan 3 times (1 in October and twice in December) have yet to receive anything. As I understand it I have the right to get this information . This company has been nothing but rude and unwilling to get me the information I need to this issue cleared up. this company takes avantage of people with poor credit.Desired Settlement: I want the paperwork and an explanation of where the down payment has gone. The vehicle was being sold for $6000. I put $2500 down payment and I've paid about 7 payments of $300 (23.50% rate) so as I see it I shouldn't owe more than $2000 on this truck. How do I owe over $6000? I want this cleaned up and my credit score to be fixed.

Review: (Complaint entered by Cleveland, Ohio Revdex.com staff - LST) A co-signer on an automobile note facing possible default, Consumer advised Company she would like to keep the vehicle. Company e-mailed contract with the 02/2014 payment due immediately. Consumer opted to make both the 02/2014 as well as the 03/2014 payment on 02/13/14. Although both money orders were cashed five days later (02/18/14) Company maintains it did not receive the payments.Desired Settlement: Consumer would like Company to investigate and acknowledge receipt of the payments.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. I didn't see the message but however a supervisor Mrs. [redacted] called me and said we have it all taken care of. I asked how I could contact someone in California to reimburse me for tracking the money orders and sending all the faxes but she claimed she didn't have the number. I found it myself and called having to leave a message so far no response and it has been a week. I thank you all for your time and effort especially [redacted] helped me get this resolved. At least they did admit they had the money in their bank I don't think I will ever see the other money I had to put into it but I guess that is the way it goes. I am just grateful the 2 car payments on the money orders where found because they told me I had to make a payment to them until they were able to find the money. I am so unhappy with this company but I am so glad for the Revdex.com because without you guys I would still not have gotten any help. I think I was lied to and caused a lot of anxiety and frustration that was so unfair to me. Thank you so much for helping me and getting this resolved. Companies don't respond to little people like me but when they seen your name they jumped right to it. I fought with them since February 18th trying to prove my case with many phone calls of insult from their staffing in so many words claiming I didn't have the money orders from the start. I have cried many days over this. I know I sound repetitious but I can't thank you enough for ending this nightmare for me. God bless you all and for the work you do!

Regards,

Review: When I purchased a vehicle from the auto broker back in April 2014 the auto broker said my loan was approved through the through this company once I didn't make my first payment the broke her explain to me that the bank was asking for the vehicle back I didn't make the first payment due to having issues with the vehicle she told me I could bring the vehicle back and we can start the loan all over thats what the bank agreed to according to her after bringing car back weeks go by I didn't hear anything else from the broker I look up weeks later the car was put on my credit I tried to contact the following company to explain to them the situation they wouldn't speak to me they cursed at me telling me to not call that ever again didn't believe what I was sayingDesired Settlement: I would like for the card to be removed from my credit because that's what the other broker explained to me that she couldn't start the loan over it makes you know the alarm is on my credit businesses closed the bank would not talk to me they just basically cursed at me and told me to never call there again

Review: This company makes several harassing calls to my private number daily, as well as to my job, and everyone on my reference paperwork stating the nature of the call. They tell my job and references that they are calling to recover a debt. They will call me and leave me a voicemail, then proceed to call each reference daily. The loan officer laughed on the voicemail and called me lazy, unprofessional, and immature while leaving the voicemail. This is unethical and unacceptable. I lost my job and had to get a new one due to their nonstop calls.Desired Settlement: Make one phone call to my personal phone and either speak to me or leave me a voicemail telling me to call back. Do not call my job or references.

Review: My vechile was repossed on July 17th, I contacted United and made the payments current , but they wanted to put a GPS on the vechile which is invasion of my privacy and has control if the car starts or not. The payment was caught up on the 18th of july but They would not tell me where my vechile was or when I could pick it up. until the gps was put on . I have looked over the contract and had other people look it over and no where does it say they have a right to put a GPS in my vechile. they are also charging me for the system additional each month for it.Desired Settlement: I want everyone to know about this and I want this device taken off. I am paying for the vechile but they have control over the car , weather it strarts or not and they know where I am at all times . I do not want to pay for this and I want it off.

Review: I understand that I financed with this company because I was in the process of improving my credit. I was frustrated in he beginning to learn that processing a payment any way except for automatic payments was $15, but I accepted it. The high interest rate and sub par service was part of rebuilding my credit I suppose. I set up automatic payments and NEVER was late on a payment. I have hated this car from the beginning and one payment away I decided to sell and get a new car. Happily I was able to finance for a fraction of what I did with UACC. The woman at carfax was hung up on 4 times while trying to get payoff information. Finally it seemed as if it was settled and no further action was to be made on my part with UACC. Then my usual payment was deducted from my account. What if I had not had the available funds? This was unacceptable. I was then told by UACC that I would not be credited, even though they had been contacted that the car had been sold. I was told I had to wait for them to process the payment from carmax and my account to go into the negatives to be refunded. Truly unacceptable. It has now been 10 days since they took my payment and nothing yet. I paid an exorbitant amount of interest on the loan and made every payment on time and it is ludicrous that I should be treated like this. Also, the customer service representative was highly ride and did not apologize for the mistake the company made or empathize at all. I need to be refunded asap and I feel as if they are going to take my money as a loan I should be able to charge back the interest rate that they charged me. The funny this is that I did not even owe the full amount of my payment in the loan and they took the full amount anyways, and they are ot a hoping that as a negative balance.Desired Settlement: I need to have my payment of $277.71 refunded asap.

Review: I paid my truck off on February 10 2014 and I have yet to receive my title . I've called and informed them of the address change and still I have received nothing. I keep calling and leaving emails and tey keep giving me the round a bout . It's getting frustrating . I don't get a straight answer on where my title is . No one will return my calls . And I'm just really wanting to get my title . All they have is keep waiting answers or that they can't answer the question and they will pass it along . When I do speak to them they are rude and make it seem as if I am an inconvenience . I just want my title .Desired Settlement: I would just like to receive my title so I can be on my way.

Review: At first there was a repair problem with vehicle, and I contacted UAC made them aware of the problem. They told me not to make any payments until it was resolved with dealer because if no payment is made the contract is not valid. Long story short the dealer claims no issues found and returned vehicle 10 days later. Drop to dealer on 13th and it was returned on 23rd of April. First payment was due on 4/15/15 , I talked with [redacted] and informed her I wasn't happy and that there was something wrong with vehicle, after the car was returned I spoke with another rep who was not helpful. So I really was unsure what to do, did not have the funds to have care tested on my own so now the calls start, I am okay with them calling me but I am NOT ok with them harassing my 0 references or employer. Payment has since been made since no solution for vehicles performance and didn't want any negative reporting on credit.Desired Settlement: DO NOT CALL REFERENCES OR EMPLOYER IN FUTURE REGARDING COLLECTION OR ANY INFORMATION REGARDING MY ACCOUNT! IT IS A PRIVACY VIOLATION. TO ONLY CONTACT ME l

Review: I made my last payment and I looked on my accont online to make sure everything was alright and it shows that I only paid 1064.75 but I have 1170.75 taken from my account minus the 13.75 that was for the fee for Western Union the fee that is on the site.... 92.25 is missing from what I paid and they are still showing I owe 95 and change.Desired Settlement: I would like the info mation to show what really paid and also I would like my account to show paid in full and my title.
