United Auto Credit Corp Reviews (150)

Review: To whom it may concern, I'm currently dealing with a situation involving my vehicle financial services. I sent in my car payment in the amount $320.00 for the month of January (2014). However I'm constantly getting calls from United Auto Credit Corporation in regards to a late payment. My payments are normally $342.31. I was short for the month of January in the amount of $22.31. However, I did compensate the follwing month (February 2014). I made a payment of $362.31, which would have brought my account up to date. As a result of them not being able to find the payment I sent in the month of January, it's showing I'm one month behind. This effects me in many ways, first and foremost it will show on my credit report, which I in the process of repairing. Secondly, this would hender me in the future if I was ever in a position to purchase another vehicle. I have been back and forth with this company. I have even faxed documents, showing that a payment was made. The payment was shipped to them overnight, which I have documents that shows it was sent and even received the signature of an employee at the front desk. However, I am being harassed constantly with the daily phone calls on my cell and at work. When asked to speak with a member of management, (Mrs. S. [redacted]) to resolve this issue, my request are ignored or either I'm being transferred to this person, which ultimately results in a disconnection. At this point I'm not sure how to resolve this issue. I hope you all can be of assitance to me in this situation. I really can't afford to send them an extra payment nor can I afford any other negative remarks on my credit as I'm in the process of repairing it. If someone could get back to me, it would be greatly appreciated!Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Replacement

I would like this matter to be resolved by the corporation. I feel as if an employee mishandlings and negligence of money transactions are the cause of this. As an end result, I would like for my payment to be found, my account to be up to date as it should be (as I have a payment due 16th of March) and any negative remarks on my credit with this corporation to be removed.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I will wait for the letter to arrive from United Auto Credit. At this point point there is still no resolution. I am still having to put out more money to track my money order issued from moneygram, which was lost by the company.

Regards,

I financed a car from Nick's Auto with them at a high interest rate. I accepted it as my credit was low at the time and I understood it comes with the territory. About 14 months later, the car engine completely stopped working. Up until this point, I had been on time with my payments (even paying their exorbitant online payment fee at times just so I could be on time). I called a representative to find out what if anything could be done about this situation. She suggested that because my account was in good standing and I would need to get a new car that this represented a financial hardship, and I would be eligible to have the account put on hold for two months as a courtesy. I heard nothing for over two weeks and then called back to find out if I could get the application for the approval. Again, I was told that I would likely qualify but that I needed to wait for the payment due date to apply. On the due date, I requested the hold (their application process) and was told a supervisor would need to approve. Two weeks later I found out the hold was denied because I needed to show proof that I had paid to get the car repaired. By this point, it being winter and the fact that I have a baby and six-year-old, I needed to get any car. I tried to get the car repaired at two places and both places refused, saying that essentially the car was done. They also refused to charge me, feeling bad for my situation and I got another used car. When I presented this information to United Auto Credit again requesting the hold, I was then told to attempt to sell the car for parts. Without the title, this has been difficult. I called them back to let them know this and then I was told by a representative ([redacted]) that I had originally agreed in the original November phone call about my situation to make a payment and then didn't make it, which is why I am now being denied the hold. This is untrue and I am now calling back requesting that the recording, from which I took detailed notes, be played again. This same representative who made the accusation yelled at me, "We want our money!"and then hung up on me when I refused to let her talk over me or keep saying that I made a promise that I never did. I am trying to resume payments next month and I can't understand for the life of me why the courtesy can't be extended to me for an incredibly difficult situation. All they need to do is hold the account for a customer who has been in good standing all along. Instead, I have been yelled at, hung up on, and now have lies being told about promises I made. I have called back to talk to another representative and have been on hold as we speak for almost 30 minutes. I was then hung up on. I am shocked at the spitefulness and lack of professionalism.

I then called again (I am persistent) and talked to a representative named [redacted]. She was kinder but then told me that they will not give me the hold because now I'm behind on payments. I asked for an email address I could write to in order to receive clarification on why it is that my approval was denied since I have now been given differing reasons. She told me to hold and then I was transferred to an automated answering machine. Why is it impossible to have something written to explain the situation or even a written application process from the start so I could understand steps for eligibility? For now, I am being told they will continue to call me multiple times each day and are discussing whether to repossess the car.

Review: It started in sept I fell behind on my car payments they began their harassing calls treating to attach my social security and retirement income I am sick of all the calls at least 4-5 a day hasseling me I told them to come and get it but they told me I could not do that when they threatened me again about attaching my income and told them they could not do that because of act 207 social security then they said they could defer my payments to the 1st of Oct if I made a payment which I did on sept 26th they still continue to Hassel me saying I have to sign a deferment form that they never emailed what a joke if they had no intentions on a form I went all off on the last person who called I just lost my husband and I sure as hell not going to put up with this bullDesired Settlement: I want they to repo and get it the hell out of here or I'll take it somewhere I do not want it or the harassment anymore lies is all they know and I don't want anymore calls

Review: I financed a car on September 10 through united auto credit. At the time of purchase I traded in a car for one thousand and financed a car that cost 5,880. Two weeks later my car was stolen so I called the dealership and the told me in my contract my gap insurance would pay my deductible for my policy. When I call to figure out am I getting a thousand dollar which would be my deductible now they are telling me I'm getting nothing. Something does not seem right if I put a thousand down why am I leaving the situation with no money no car.Desired Settlement: I would like them to pay my thousand dollar deductible like stated in my contract so I can buy another car

Review: I accidentally double paid to my account in the same day. Once over the phone and the second time while attempting to sign up for their online automated, reoccurring payment which charged me at the time I established the schedule. I called that day once I realized I was charged twice and an associate said they would come up with a solution (most likely crediting my account which could take 5-10 business days) and asked for me to call back to find out what that was. I called back a couple of days later and another representative said that because the double payment was my error they would not return any portion and that I could dispute the payment through my bank. My bank being a reputable, customer service oriented institution, has returned my funds to me. United Auto Credit is a predatory, malicious organization that will that attempts to profit off of mistakes.Desired Settlement: An apology would be nice and to change their company policy to be customer friendly.

Well now that the vehicle is paid off I was supposed to receive my GAP coverage insurance back but when I call the company they are giving me the run around about where is my refund check is at I gave them my full address on 2 occasion but yet they still managed to send the check to the wrong address now I've been waiting since December 4 on a response about when am I going to get my full refund. I've talked to one employee name [redacted](ext [redacted]) who was very rude and treat the issue like it's not a big deal. Also the Manager [redacted](ext [redacted]) is avoiding all my calls. It's been 6 days now and I still have no response on anything about my check.Desired Settlement: I want my GAP coverage refund in full

Sincerely,

STAY AWAY! I have had a vehicle financed through these scam artists since 2013. They call over 30 times a day, they disguise the phone number with a jamming device, even using family members numbers to show up when they call. They give your personal debt information to family or whoever they call amd harass them. They change your interest rate without notification. They claim to mot have recieved payments that were made, they are rude and consistent with the insults and threats. They send threatening rude demanding emails. No employee ever has the same information. They belittle you and make you feel worthless if you are late. They claim to not ever have a supervisor or manager available EVER. You are forced to speak to different people everytime you call and they mess up your account, making it even more confusing and hard to speak to people. When you ask them to explain something or ask a question they are rude and belittling to you. They hang up on you. I am so angry at myself for dealing with this company! I have credit issues and thought this was my only option. Im disabled and they have mocked my disability over the phone and flat out told me to get a job! Im absolutely disgusted.

I needed to get special financing becasue of my credit this company provided that. It was the worse experience I have ever had. I made payments on time and even 1 day late they will call and harass you. I purchased a Mazda that from day one had issues that I always had to come out of pocket to fix. One month I could not make the payment because of repairs with the car the manager at the time was VERY disrespectful and in the end they repo'd my car. I was okay with it I was so glad to be done with this company. When I tried to collect my things a man told laughed and said that he would not be letting me get my things back. I told him I had a car seat that belonged to my toddler I needed to get his response was oh well buy another. DO NOT FINANCE WITH THIS COMPANY!!! they will NOT work with you and if they do they will go back on their arrangement and throw remarks and such disrespect. This company needs to be SHUT DOWN!

Review: Due to medical and financial issues, I was unable to pay my car payment. I filed for bankruptcy on January 2015. I notified United Auto Credit via phone and also thru the Matrix Mailing with address the company provided. All throughout the course of my bankruptcy, United Auto Credit continued to call trying to collect payment and made several attempts to repossess my vehicle. They failed to show up at the Meeting of Creditors. Upon calling and requesting for my loan to be reaffirmed I was given a payoff amount of $6000 due to them charging the vehicle off. I was contacted the following day by [redacted] who stated she wouldn't honor the $6000 price as a settlement even though I was told that the day prior. [redacted] advised that I would need to pay the full value of the vehicle of $11,000 even though the balance had been charged off. From the moment I first spoke to [redacted], she was extremely rude. In understanding her line of work of collecting monies due to the company she represents, she has to realize she still works in customer service. [redacted] talks down to you, goes above and beyond to try and intimidate you, again, understandable tactics for someone collecting balances. Before my loan defaulted I contacted United Auto Credit the month before to let them know and request relief options. The response from the representative was that there wasn't anything they could do and they wouldn't be able to note the system until the payment became due. I again contacted them on the due date and was told by another representative that there was nothing they could do and wouldn't be able to notate the system until the payment was past due so many days. The following day I was contacted three times by representatives of United Auto Credit asking about payment. United Auto Credit called three to five times per day everyday for about two weeks straight. So it wasn't a surprise that they contacted me the same way throughout my bankruptcy. On last week I contacted [redacted] to inquire about the settlement balance as my mother in law was going to pay the balance for me. [redacted] was extremely rude, I attributed it to being early and her just being in a funk that day, but she continued by belittling me asking "where was I going to get the money from" "you don't have a job so why do you need a car" I reminded her that my mother in law was loaning the funds to me and that I currently have a job, and reminded her of the financial hardship that I went thru due to my entire family getting sick to the point of hospitalization, by the end of the call I was fed up with her nonsense and stooped to her level and called her out of her name. My husband called her to try and smooth things over [redacted] blatantly said "I'm charging her the full price because she called me a [redacted] so at that point it became personal. I took it upon myself to call [redacted] back and apologize and advise that no matter how rude she was to me, I had no right to call her out of her name. [redacted] kept cutting me off yelling "what do you want! what do you want?!" at that point I disconnected the call, because I no longer wanted to be subjected to being yelled at.Desired Settlement: Honor 6k settlement
