Review: I have contacted these people REPEATEDLY and told them the URGENCY of getting my father's birth certificate!!!! they called me back ONCE and said I should be getting the certificate in 3 days... that was a week ago... this whole process is almost taking a MONTH...AND when I spoke with them, they should have let me know that they needed my ID...but they didn't they sent an email a couple days later which held up the process even MORE... I am under A TIME CONSTRAINT and need this certificate for an audit... and I stressed the importance REPEATEDLY... but they don't seem to care... why does it take SO LONG to get a document anyway???? I call and they NEVER pick up the phone... I can't IMAGINE that they are that busy EACH AND EVERY DAY ... I even paid for EXPEDITED shipping... so what is the stinking hold up... I don't know ... and if I don't get this certifcate soon... i'll be in a world of hurt....Desired Settlement: I want IMMEDIATE SHIPPING... AN APOLOGY and possibly some sort of refund... this is RIDICULOUS... NO ONE needs to operate this way

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I was searching on how to get a birth certificate for my son and was told by the school I could get this online and came across this website because I thought it was a government website to get this. After waiting two weeks with no response to my calls and emails I have not heard from them. To date our account has been charged and we are have attempted to cancel this "order". Our local government will provide the requested information at a minimal cost and this company has asked for and received my and my husbands social along with our son's, address, my maiden name, and a copy of our drivers liscence. This is all that they would need to steal our identity and unfortunately I did not realize this until it is too late. I would like an immediate refund and stop on all services from this company.Desired Settlement: We would like a total refund of all fees and the permanent deletion of all of our personal records pertaining to this account and transaction.

Review: I requested a birth certificate from the WA State Department of [redacted] US Vital Records and they have a website that advertises them as a place that does birth records but they did not send me the birth record I requested and I want a refund of the $84.37 they took from my account with my request. I ordered another birth record and got it in 7 days like this place said they would do. This location is fraudulent according to the Vital records people in Washington State I called at [redacted] I would appreciate a note in the internet to warn people of this criminal activity and to get my money back if possible.Thank you[redacted]Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I desire this company taken off the internet or have a notice on their website that they are not an official representative of the [redacted] department and I desire a refund.

Review: An order was placed through this site without my permission. Upon further investigation, not only does this site not provide a birth certificate in a timely manner, they are impossible to reach via phone and email. As stated in their FAQ, if a request for cancelation is submitted within 24 hours of the request, a full refund will be issued, which also means my personal information is no longer needed for your records. If this is a legit company, they will honor their own policy for full refunds since services have not been rendered.Desired Settlement: Full refund and remove all personal information (financial and profile) from your database immediately. There is no need for my personal information to be kept on file from 90 days to 7 years.

Response:

Our records indicate that the application has been canceled through our office and no charge to the client’s credit card was ever made.

The application was received on the morning of January 21st. The client emailed later the same day to cancel her request after our office was closed for the evening. In the email to cancel the client acknowledged our 24 hour cancellation policy.

That same evening a few hours later, the client submitted this complaint to your office still within the cancellation period.

Once our office opened on the morning of January 22nd one of our customer service agents replied to her email stating her application had been cancelled, the credit card had not been charged and the application would be shredded. In her return email she replied: “Thank you very much.”

As the client submitted her Revdex.com complaint approximately 14 hours after sending her application we feel our office was not given the opportunity to rectify this matter within the 24 hour period we guarantee on our website. As such we strongly feel our company has been unjustly represented by the client’s complaint.

Should you or the client have any questions or require any additional information, please feel free to contact our office.

Review: We wished to cancel and I called right back after reading my papers I printed off and it was far more expensive than I first expected it to be and I called and left on their machine what I wanted to do and didnt get any response . I then emailed and no response I began checking this company out and ivreally feel uncomfortable with this company and I want others to be aware kof how they operate . Still dont know anything on my refund $140 for a copy of my birth certificate . Thanks [redacted]Desired Settlement: I still need a copy of my birth certificate but not for $140 I can get it from the state for $15.00 . Thank you if you can help.

Review: I went online to order an official birth certificate for my daughter. This website UnitedstatesVitalrecords.com came up and I thought that it was official website for vital statistics. The charge is 52.87 for the certificate and 30.00 for shipping. I called vital statistics and they stated that I was scammed. Birth certificates are only $ 15.00 and with other fees the whole total was $30.00. The actual vital statistic office also stated that the website " in my name" as if were me ordered the birth certificate. I have been attempting to contact the company and it sends me to an automated voicemail.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

I would like my fees refunded to me and I will order my own birth certificate.

Review: I attempted to order a birth certificate for my daughter. Once realizing that this was not a government organization, I attempted to reach them by phone to cancel, and had to leave a message (which I did); however I have not received a return phone call or a return email to the email I sent. I have not received the charged on my credit card; however I am gravely concerned about them having access to my and my daughter's SSNs.Desired Settlement: The company needs to be prosecuted and shut down

Review: I went online to order a birth certificate for my daughter through US Vital records. The company indicated that I will receive an e-mail in a couple of days requesting an ID proof. They even advise you to check your spam folder to make sure you don't miss it. And so I did. Checked my email and monitored my spam folder for 8 days but I did not hear from them. I left a message on a voicemail and it took them awhile to get back to me. They then set me a form they filled out that I was supposed to send to Vital Check with both mine and my daughter's name misspelled! I demanded a refund because I did not receive the service I wanted to receive in the time frame they promised and the quality was clearly very poor. As you can imagine my comfort level with their ability to deliver was seriously lowered by the fact that they misspelled our names.

The customer service rep claimed they send me an e-mail earlier but when I asked her to produce the e-mail in questions she could not and claimed that this was automatically generated message.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to refund me the 52.87 online processing fee they charged me. They can put that back on the card I gave them

Review: The Illinois Dept. of Health only uses VitalChek, a fact that was unknown to me and not revealed in a Google search. I naively applied to US Vital Records for a copy of my Illinois birth certificate on or about March 18, 2014. I received a receipt from VitalChek for $26.95, but NONE from U.S. Vital Records, the company I interacted with on the Internet. I had paid by credit card, $52.87 to US Vital Records.

A so-called vital records search company, US Vital Records deploys a 3rd party marketing layer over VitalChek and charges excessive additional fees above and beyond that charged by VitalChek . They load Google's search tree so that their website appears before VitalChek or the Illinois Dept. of Health.

US Vital Records has clearly loaded the deck w/r Google searches, and is scamming the public with their fraud..

I asked for $26.50 rebate to reflect those charges in excess of VitalChek’s fees.Desired Settlement: VitalChek's fees would have been $26.50 less than the $52.87 charged by US Vital Records. Refund $26.50 and credit my American Express account as requested earlier of American Express.

Review: I have recently requested that said company, UnitedStatesVitalRecords.com, order a certified copy of my birth certificate on my behalf. I subsequently received an email without an order number, pin number or confirmation number, however; I did receive a notice of charges in the amount of $52.87 and $54.00 which total $106.87. I have been unsuccessful in receiving correspondence from said company and the telephone number to reach said company is invalid as it send you to a voice mail no matter the hours, date or time. I would like my information removed and the transaction monies refunded. I would also like to report this company for their fraudulent usage of consumers information and/or payment means.Desired Settlement: Refund the monies, letter of notification, and any other means of protecting my personal identity and records.

We have spoken with the client and have resolved this matter on August 13, 2014.

Unfortunately he received misinformation about our company. Upon speaking with the client he did realize we had been in contact with him in the appropriate time frame. However, due to his email settings our email acc idently went to his spam folder. After speak ing with one of our highly tra ined customer service agents it was confirmed that the required information was sent to him via email. He understands fully that we a re a legitimat e company and is pleased with our services.

Should you or the client have any questions or require any additional information, please feel free to contact our office

Review: I ordered a birth certificate online for my granddaughter. I did a search on google for Nevada birth certificates. They were the first link...their site looked legit. I ordered from there. apparently that isn't a valid site. I contacted the Nevada division of Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health to upload my documents and receive the BC. They requested me to pay. I told them I have a charge already gone through for $52.87 for the birth certification from USVITAL. The lady on the phone told me to dispute the charges as they are NOT A VALID COMPANY and have been scamming people out of money. I need the refund from this bogus place so I can order a valid certificate for our trip to CANADA next month.Desired Settlement: I want full refund for $52.87

Review: I applied to have a birth certificate from my state of Michigan, the web site appears to have collected my information somehow and charged my card. They seem to be setup as a legitimate government web site to obtain birth certificates, there is no way to contact this company to see why they charged my card. They have charged my $52.87 for a birth certificate that I went through Vital Chek to order and Vital Check charged me 11.50 for processing and $65.75 for the certificate which is the only authorized service to obtain a birth certificate from Michigan. I don't even know WHERE this other company got my information.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of $52.87 and all my info erased from their Data base!!!! I just want to scream at companies like this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have been in contact with US Vital which is a site that is somewhat like a middleman for VitalChek. I still suggest US Vital find some way better ... more efficient ... to let people know they are at a site that only forwards your information onto VitalChek. You can do this through VitalChek directly and save yourself $52.00, PLUS if you go through US Vital it will take OVER a month to get your birth certificate (or possibly any other vital record you are needing) -- RIDICULOUS! -- I truly believe I went through VitalChek directly BUT according to them somehow I accessed US Vital's site -- I have no idea. VitalChek is the company that told me I should call and make a complaint because a lot of people are going through this same situation. I will say the lady I spoke with at US Vital "[redacted]" was very kind and helped me out tremendously and they refunded my money. I will say it takes a while to get someone though - BUT leave the message!!! don't hang up or it will not get resolved, US Vital makes lots of phone calls and most of the time are busy on other calls -- SOO you must leave a contact number and your reason for calling. They will eventually call you back.
