Review: I previously sent my phone a note 4 in to usell and they sent me a bad check. I went to try and cash the check and the bank informed me it was a faulty check.Desired Settlement: I would like the amount they were origanally suppose to pay me $267.00 plus at least another additional $200 for all the trouble they have caused.

Response:

Hello, thank you for the opportunity to address this complaint. I am very sorry to hear that [redacted] has encountered difficulty in cashing his check. I can absolutely assure you that the check is completely valid and the funds are available. This number: ###-###-#### can be provided to any check cashing location or banking institution to verify the check. I searched our support database and couldn't find any record of [redacted] contacting us for assistance with this matter. We are aware that some [redacted] locations have an issue with our checks; however, it is because of the [redacted] verification service they use. If you would be so kind as to let me know where the check was presented and what exactly [redacted] was told, it would be very helpful. Also, if [redacted] would prefer a payment via [redacted] instead, we just need the [redacted] email address in order to execute the transfer. I look forward to resolving this matter. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. I accept the offer and I would like for the money to be sent to my [redacted] linked to email: [redacted] Thank you

Sincerely,

Review: Sold an item with an agreed upon price. USELL revised the offer and I did not approve the revision. They sent the check with the revised price anyway. The company will not respond to any of my emails or try to attempt to come to a resolution.Desired Settlement: I would like my item back since you made an unauthorized revision. I have sent several emails with my contact and order information with no reply.

Response:

Hello, thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. I reviewed [redacted]'s account and I see that he created an order to sell an iPod Nano 6th Generation for $20.52. However, our inspectors noted that the power button was bad, which constitutes a "minor damage" downgrade. A revised offer notification was sent to the email address on the order: [redacted] on 4/**/15 and a reminder was sent three days later. In all, we allow seven days for a response, wherein the customer can accept the revised offer and be paid, or decline the offer and have the device returned free of charge. [redacted] did not respond to the notifications, so the acceptance period expired, and the payment of $3.80 was issued automatically on May 5, 2015. WE do understand how disappointing it can be to receive a revised offer for a device; however, this order was processed exactly according to our Terms of Service, to which [redacted] agreed by placing his order. That said, I will request a one-time courtesy payment of $20.52 from our Finance department as soon as the voided check for $3.80 is received at our office. If there is anything else I can do in the meantime, please let me know. Best,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], as long as the refund me the original quote as agreed on then I will be satisfied.

Sincerely,

Review: I sent my used device(s) to Usell via [redacted] on April [redacted]. Due to [redacted] the devices weren't received until April [redacted]. After that date, the company was supposed to inspect my devices and return payment via [redacted] for sending them used devices as recycle. I received the first payment for 3 devices that I sent in. That payment was received on April [redacted]. I sent in all 3 devices at the same time. The last 2 devices were received in their offices on the same day as the first devices, but no payment were ever issued for them.Desired Settlement: I just would like to know when the payment will be issued to me via [redacted], and I phone call about this. This is sad that I have to wait almost a month before reporting this issue to the Revdex.com, I didn't want it to get this far.

Response:

Hello, thank you for the opportunity to address this complaint. I reviewed [redacted]'s account and order history. Here are the details:Order # [redacted] for $291.33 was received on 4/**/15 and paid via [redacted] on 4/**/15.Order # [redacted] for $113.25 was received on 4/**/15 and paid via [redacted] on 5/**/15Order # [redacted] for $162.00 was received on 4/**/15 and paid via [redacted] on 5/**/15[redacted] is correct in saying that the last two orders took longer than usual to process. Please allow me to explain: All devices sold were from [redacted]. Part of the inspection process is to verify that [redacted] considers the devices clear for activation by a new user. This is done by checking the ESN (Electronic Serial Number). Unfortunately, [redacted]'s ESN database recently experienced an outage, which caused a delay in processing. Until the ESNs could be verified, the inspection could not move forward. As you can see, the issue was resolved and the payments were issued as soon as the ESNs were verified on May [redacted]. [redacted] reached out to uSell Support via email and phone, and one of our Customer Care Representatives explained the [redacted] issue to him on May [redacted]. We deeply apologize for any concern or inconvenience that was caused by [redacted]'s database failure. I can assure you that it has been resolved and we do not foresee any further problems with regard to this matter. Best,[redacted]uSell

Response:

When this complaint was originally filed, I reached out to the buyer, 360 Wireless for a resolution. They advised me that they have gone ahead and issued a second check in the amount of $4.80 to satisfy [redacted]. If he hasn't already received the check, he should get it any day now.

Review: Recently I decided to use uSell.com to sell my mint condition Samsung Galaxy S4. I had several offers from [redacted] and some possible [redacted] interest for a nice amount. uSell stated depending on the condition of my phone, it may be worth up to 229 dollars. I realized I was probably not looking at that much since it had been used for around 6 months despite it's condition. My phone was then bought by another company called [redacted]. I got emails confirming the phone arrived and that they were looking at it to see how much it was worth. I then look at my email one day and they sent me 33 dollars. 33. For a mint condition Samsung Galaxy S4. Not acceptable at all. They made it sound like they were paying TOP dollar for phones, when in essence they are giving out nothing. When I made complaints on several review sites, they claim my order number was fake. I had to send emails that prove I indeed sent and they received my phone. I believe this company is misleading it's potential users. When I tried to reach out to customer service, they would either put me on hold or tell me they would call me back. About 20 calls later, nothing.Desired Settlement: First of all, I want to know why I didn't receive better value for a mint condition phone. The phone was shipped in an Otterbox Defender and then sent in packing foam. I know it didn't get damaged. I want them to be more explicit on their site about the criteria they use to judge value. Obviously I'm going to get a response like no one wants an S4 when the S5 is out and so forth. They mention nothing about demand being a part of their pricing scheme. I also want fair value for the phone. [redacted] offered me 150. I want the 112 difference between it. I got offered A LOT more on [redacted] but uSell promised to be a quicker alternative.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I wanted to further clarify what actions they took. The ** of Customer Support personally reached out to me. He has stated that he has never heard of this happening with uSell.com before. He collected multiple screen prints and emails from me referencing my order with the buyer from their site. He then had the company send me the full amount of what their website offered me. He has also said that he will keep me in the loop as to what may have happened to cause this. They either have a buyer doing not good things or their website got spoofed. I would say the resolution they presented is more than acceptable and I more satisfied. I just wanted to provide further details about this in case it came up again with another complainant.

Review: I sent in an iPhone 4s to a usell partner, about a week and a half later I received a check for $129.50. I deposited the check on the [redacted]of April and the day after it was deposited it bounced. I didn't know about this until I checked my bank balance on the [redacted]of May. It was my first time using the site. I won't use it again and furthermore would ugliest that no one use it if this is the service that the company gives.Desired Settlement: At least what I was promised. ($129.50) If not more.

Review: Co quoted trade in value at $92.40. Sent phone to them in their prepaid padded mailer. They then said the iphone was damaged so offered only $26.23. When I requested the phone back they returned the phone damaged and obviously tampered with and was also missing the SIM card. My carrier already offered $75 in the store and physically inspected the device but I opted for usell to get slightly better price.Desired Settlement: I want my SIM card back, they owe $ for my broken phone and they should be held accountable for their fraudulent actions and bait and switch tactics.

Response:

Hello, I'm sorry to hear about the frustrating experience [redacted] had with her transaction. I reviewed the order details and see that she placed an order to sell an iPhone 5 for $92.40. However, upon receipt, our inspectors noted that the screen was popping out of the frame and the home key was loose. There were no indications that this could have happened in transit to our facility. I am attaching a photo for your reference. As far as I can see in our system, [redacted] did not reach out to uSell Support for assistance prior to filing this complaint. As for the SIM card, we advise our customers to remove their SIM cards before sending in their devices. This is because the are destroyed upon receipt to protect the seller and any sensitive information that may be present. We are proud to offer a risk-free transaction, so any time a customer disagrees with the assessment of their device, they can have it returned free of charge. [redacted]'s phone was returned to her on March ** in accordance with this guarantee. As a courtesy, I can request a payment in the amount of $26.23, which is the amount that [redacted] would have received had she accepted the revised offer. If this is acceptable, please let me know so that I can request the payment. Best,[redacted]uSell

Review: I made an agreement to exchange my phone for payment. I sent in the phone in perfect condition. I was told the screen was broken (I imagine this happened during shipment) and I was offered a lower amount or the opportunity to recycle the phone without receiving payment. Review: First time selling a device online. I was told I would be receiving $103 for an Iphone. When I sent the device in they only paid me $38. I emailed them immediately telling them that I do not accept this offer that we agreed on a certain amount that I would never consider selling the device for under $100. They told me that I have no choice that It's too late and kept my device. I refunded the $38 they sent me via [redacted] and they still have my Iphone. I'd like to see them return the device or pay the agreed amount. In my opinion this company are thieves.Desired Settlement: I'd like the device returned immediately and for them to have better business ethics.

Response:

Hello,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. We are very sorry to see that [redacted] is so upset about the outcome of his transaction with SellAtlas. I reviewed his account and see that he placed an order to sell a Flawless, iPhone 4S 16GB (unlocked) to SellAtlas for $120. However, they actually received a Damaged iPhone 4 8GB (AT&T). They made a revised offer of $31.20 on September ** for this reason. [redacted] had seven days to respond to the revised offer by accepting and being paid, or declining and having the device returned. Two email notifications were sent to [redacted] with the subject "Urgent: Action needed concerning your trade-in order [redacted]"- on September ** and a reminder on September **. Per our Terms of Service, if you do not respond to a revised offer, it expires after seven days and payment is automatically issued for the revised amount. Since [redacted] never responded to the offer, payment was issued in the amount of $31.20 via [redacted] on September **.

I have reached out to SellAtlas on behalf of [redacted] to confirm that the [redacted] transfer was refunded and to see if they can make an exception and return the phone. However, our buyers usually move their inventory very quickly, so I cannot guarantee the return of the device. As soon as I have the information, I will provide an update and resolution.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

Unfortunately I did not receive any emails regarding the reduced offer. Had I received an email regarding this I would have rejected the offer and asked to have the cell phone returned. I believe this is a way for this company to scam money off of its customers by claiming that devices are damaged and saying they've sent reduced offer letters where in fact they did not. If you had called my telephone number which I provided and left a message or tried to get in touch with me that way It would have been a more effective excuse on your part. The only way for this matter to be resolved is to return the device or pay the amount promised. The money you sent me was REFUNDED back to you and rejected as that was not part of the agreement.

Review: I sold a metro pcs phone lg to this company and they told me it was a counterfeit and severely damaged phone so they won't pay me my 16.80 they agreed to pay me. Response:

I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with the outcome of your sale to SellAtlas. I reviewed your order and I do see that you created an order to sell an LG Optimus F3 (Metro PCS) in good condition to SellAtlas for $16.80. According to the notes, the device was actually a counterfeit model and badly damaged. It is illegal and a violation of our Terms of Service to sell counterfeit devices to our professional buyers. We work very hard to ensure that our customers have a great experience selling their unwanted items in our marketplace. Therefore, I have reached out to SellAtlas with your complaint and they have agreed to pay you the original quoted amount of $16.80 to resolve your complaint. If you find this satisfactory, please let me know and I will have them issue your payment.

Review: I recently sold an iPhone 5 to uSell and was quoted $103.18 for the phone. The phone was in perfect condition (no damage at all) when I put it into uSell's provided packaging and mailed it in. I later received an email from uSell saying the phone was damaged and now only worth $60. I emailed the company immediately and followed up with a voice message the following day. It too 8 days for anyone to return my call (email was never responded to). At that point I was told the check for $60.72 had been mailed and nothing further could be done. They did offer to void the check and return the phone to me damaged. I asked to speak with a supervisor regarding the issue. The costumer service agent said he would have someone contact me, but several weeks have passed and I still have not received a call or email.Desired Settlement: I mailed in a phone worth $103.18 and received only $60.72 after uSell damaged the device. I would like the remaining portion of the money I am owed to be paid.

Response:

Hello, thank you for the opportunity to address this complaint. I am sorry to hear that [redacted] had such a disappointing experience in selling her device. I see that she created an order to sell an iPhone 5 in good condition for $103.18. However, our inspectors noted that there was a slight bend in the frame, which resulted in a revised offer of $60.72. We allow 7 days for a customer to accept a revised offer and be paid, or to decline it and have their device returned for free. Action to accept or decline the offer must be taken directly through the uSell account interface. I did review the history of our Support staff's phone calls with [redacted] regarding this issue. Unfortunately, since she did not decline the revised offer through the account interface, payment for the lower amount was automatically issued upon the expiration of the 7-day acceptance period, on April [redacted]. This order was processed according to our Terms of Service, and I can absolutely assure you that the device was not damaged at our facility. The slight bend in a frame like this typically happens over the course of normal wear and tear, and can often go unnoticed by the user depending on the degree of the bend. Unfortunately, even if the bend is slight, it means the frame will need to be replaced in order for the phone to be refurbished and sold to a new user, which is why the price had to be reduced. That said, as a courtesy, I will request a check for the difference of $42.46 to be issued to [redacted] in this case. If there are any objections to this, please let me know; otherwise, the check should be issued as soon as possible. Best,[redacted]uSell

Review: I contracted with www.usell.com to sell my iPhone6. I have a written contract that they would pay me $517 within five days of receipt of the phone. I feel that I've been screwed over and they have essentially stolen my phone and a monetary amount of $625.

This company is a fraud.Desired Settlement: The value of my phone is at least $600. I want a check for that or a [redacted] transfer to my account for that amount. If I do not receive this, I will file suit in the State of [redacted] and triple the amount for damages and attorney feels.

Sincerely,

Review: I've been using uSell for years, and have sold back many electronic devices through their website. Recently, I upgraded my old iPhone to a new [redacted] phone, and decided to sell it back through uSell. I placed an order on their website, and received an email and paper documentation reflecting the quoted offer on the order. The paper documentation was included in the shipping kit I received in the mail a few days after placing my order online. I placed my old phone in the kit, sealed it, and shipped it back to the buyer. After about a week or so, I had not received email communication from neither uSell nor the buyer indicating that they'd received the phone in the mail. I've reached out to uSell's customer service department multiple times, but have not received any communication in return. The order in question is not reflected on my account on uSell.com, but my previous orders are. Today, I received a check in the mail that has the buyer's name on it, but it is signed my uSell. The amount the check is for is less than 10% of the originally quoted price. Since there is no phone number listed on uSell's website, it is incredibly frustrating because I cannot speak to an actual person regarding this situation.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate some communication from uSell and the buyer in regards to my order. If the quoted offer has changed, I feel that it would have been considerate of the company to notify me, and let me know that I have to either accept or reject the new offer. It's happened in the past with previous orders through uSell, but no communication was received for this particular order. Also, my account does not accurately reflect the orders I've placed. I'd also like for them to update my account so that all of my orders are listed on there as well. Also, please post a phone number on the uSell website for customers to contact an actual person to avoid unnecessary frustration.

Response:

Hello, and thank you for being such a loyal uSell customer! I am terribly sorry to hear you've had such a disappointing experience with this particular transaction. I reviewed your account and I see that you created an order to sell an iPhone to [redacted], one of the professional buyers in our network. Unfortunately, we noticed that there may have been a typo in the email address you entered when placing this order. When the iPhone was received by [redacted], the Find my iPhone (Activation Lock) was still on the phone, preventing the buyer from inspecting it. Two notifications asking you to remove the lock, but it appears you may not have received them due to the email address error. When the lock was not removed, a revised offer had to be made. Two notifications of the revised offer were also sent via email. Per our Terms of Service, you have seven days to accept the offer and be paid, or decline the offer and have your device returned for free. When no response was received, payment for the revised amount was automatically issued to finalize the order on 11/**/14. We do have a phone number, which is listed in our Help Center, although email is our primary method of support. I reviewed our records and I see that you reached out to Support back on October ** and our Customer Advocate, [redacted] has been assisting you with your multiple requests. As of today, she has confirmed that the Activation Lock seems to have been disabled, so she has gone above and beyond to find out if there is anything the buyer can do to improve the amount paid for the iPhone. She will be back in touch with you as soon as she hears from [redacted]. I will do my best to resolve your complaint. Best,[redacted]uSell

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and please accept my sincerest apology for any hassle inconvenience you experienced with your order. I also reviewed the record of correspondence you had with our support team regarding your payment problem. Although [redacted] attempted to issue payment to you via [redacted] on 6/*/14, it was unable to be finalized. According to the system, it was due to the customer [redacted] account not being Verified. I do also see that you confirmed the account was verified, so I'm honestly not sure why it would have failed. [redacted] issued your payment via check number [redacted] on 6/**/14. Since we have not received any further inquiries about this, I trust that this matter has been resolved. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please let me know.

Review: I recently sent in a cell phone for a agreed upon purchase amount. The phone I was selling is an iPhone 5. I sent the phone in the prepaid packaging. I was unable to track package movement during shipping. I was contacted by the buyer that I had in fact sent an iPhone 4s and the purchase price would be significantly lower. I refused to sell and asked the buyer to ship the phone back to me. I was sent a phone I have never owned. I feel like I was scammed and the company used unethical business practices used to rip people off. I now have a phone I have never owned and do not even have a charger for. This company blatantly stole a cell phone and I am convinced this is not the first time.Desired Settlement: I would like my original iPhone 5 back. Serial number for the phone is [redacted]. IMEI number for the phone is[redacted]. I would like my stolen phone back.

Response:

Hello, thank you for the opportunity to address this complaint. [redacted] created an order to sell an Apple iPhone 5 to SecondHand Cellular, one of the trusted buyers in our marketplace. Our records indicate that SecondHand Cellular actually received an iPhone 4S, which has a significantly lower resale value. Therefore, a revised offer of $56.70 was made. [redacted] declined the revised offer, so the phone was returned to him. I did follow up with the buyer and they maintain that they absolutely received a 4S and not the iPhone 5 they were expecting. The [redacted] have disputed this and said that they were going to find out more information about the phone they received back from the buyer. I am currently awaiting this information in order to know how to proceed with this matter.

Review: Sent phone too sell and now they are saying they never recieved they sent a prepaid package to send phone inDesired Settlement: I would like what they promised $96 since they lost our phone

Review: I was offered a dollar amount for a piece of electronics from uSell and its buyer XTech Gear on ** NOV. 2013. I received my shipping kit and mailed it. I contacted uSell on ** DEC 2013 and inquired as to the status of my order and uSell responded on ** DEC 2013 with:" According to the USPS tracking the item was last in Chicago on Nov **. I have escalated the issue and we have contacted the USPS to investigate the whereabouts of your shipment." I contacted uSell and XTech Gear again on ** JAN 2014 and inquired again. XTech Gear responded with" We have not yet received the shipment." uSell failed to respond. I contacted both companies via email again on ** FEB 2014 but have heard nothing. As to this date the tracking USPS tracking number still shows the shipment not delivered and still located in Chicago, IL.Desired Settlement: I would like to be contacted by uSell or XTech Gear and informed as to the status of this matter and what they are doing to resolve it.

I would like to be paid the dollar amount offered to me or have my electronics returned and have the matter closed.
