I am rejecting this response because:
 
I wish to keep the case open until the credit card company has settled on the dispute. I wish to clarify that virus-eraser (or one of its affiliates) made unsolicited contact with my mother. She did not reach out to anyone regarding a computer virus.

I am rejecting this response because:
Affiliate partners in promoting your product by using a bait and switch tactic to sell your product should be a concern to you. If you notice on the contract that he supposedly signed, the name of the broker is not listed, only "Virus Eraser" is listed. In the contract it list's [redacted]" as the affiliate company as well as the consumer in the contract. This in my estimation is an effort to hide their identity or to make virus eraser solely responsible.
Regardless, the contract should be null and void as it does not state all parties clearly and their roles in the contract. The consumer is the only name listed other than "Virus Eraser". If it is an affiliate that is selling your product, they should be listed as well. Please see attached copy.

Regarding complaint ID [redacted], I want to report that Virus Erase  has credited a $700 refund to my credit card, as they stated they would do; however, I question the method they used to get me to purchase their product.  I computer was hijacked by someone, and I was not able to close it out or turn it off, even by unplugging from power source ( it is a laptop)until I called the phone # shown at the bottom of the screen, at which time I was connected to Virus Erase.  This seems to me a questionable way to do business, and virus Erase should investigate how this could happen in a reputable business.  As for me, I am satisfied with the results of my report to the Revdex.com.

was offered to the customer and after proper confirmation the order was  placed.  All the proper guidelines were followed before processing the payment and without customer's permission or authorization no charges can be processed. As we can see that customer is looking for a refund of her money per the desired settlement. We have proceeded with the same and refunded the money, the amount would reflect within 3-5 business days. We hope this resolves the concern and we would like to thank the customer for trying Virus Eraser.Thank you.Regards,Team Virus Eraser

Also, after proper authorization given by the customer, the technician took a remote session on customer's computer and resolved the issues she was facing. As we can see that customer is looking for a refund of her money per her desired settlement. We have proceeded with the same and refund the money on 7th April, 2016 and the amount would reflect within 5-7 business days. As we can see that customer is looking for a refund of her money per the desired settlement. The refund was processed from our end on June 2nd, we apologize for the long delay which happened due to some technical issue. But by now the customer must have receive her money back to the same account she used while purchasing the plan. the payment and without customer's permission or authorization no charges can be processed. In case customer was not happy and was looking for a refund, she would have called the same number and might have asked for refund and it would have been done from our end. The delay in refund might be caused because the bank was contacted first, the money goes on hold and then we do not have any authorization to refund the same. Although as per our records we have processed the refund of the complete $249.99 from our end and it should have been there in her account with 5-7 business days.
