We never intended to be customer of Vista Energy The rep came door to door and asked to see our [redacted] Bill to make a comparison for us, and the next thing we knew, we had been signed up (without consent) Our gas bills doubled I called to cancel The first time, the recording hung up on me When I finally spoke with someone, they tried to talk me into another, better deal but told me that they wouldn't credit me for the crazy charges already on my account I told them I just wanted to cancel, and they told me it would take up to days I then told them that I wanted the better deal for those days, and they said it was too late Absolute swindlers, and we never wanted the service in the first place!

Vista Energy is in the business of criminal activity; specifically, elder abuseI have recently taken over the responsibility of paying my parents' bills, as they are elderly and do not speak EnglishAfter careful review of their [redacted] statement, I realized the amount due was much higher than it should beI noticed a charge from Vista on the last page and called [redacted] to inquireThe [redacted] representative informed me that Vista is a third-party companyMy parents were paying Vista to use their gas and paying [redacted] to use their pipes to receive the gasThe [redacted] rep explained Vista's business practice: they show up, tell you they're with the energy company, ask to see your bill, record your account number, get your autograph, and effectively sign you up for their serviceMost individuals would be able to deny this serviceHowever, when you're elderly, you don't understand much English, and someone from the energy shows up and tells you to sign something - you do itAfter some calculation and confirmation from ***, my parents have been paying more than double what they would have had Vista's sales representative not preyed on my vulnerable parentsThe Vista rep I spoke with (Chris) over the phone refused to assist me until I asked him if he was aware that this was, in fact, elder abuseHis tone immediately changed, he offered a "promotional rate" for the next three months, and then finally agreed to cancel my parents' contract with themAfter informing me that Vista had been taking advantage of them since How any company is still in business with these tactics is beyond meStay away from themCall the policeWarn your elderly and/or non-English speaking relatives and friendsTake legal action

customer's request the account was submitted for cancellation. Vista Energy has no intention of reporting *** *** to the credit bureaus. Vista will take this feedback to improve on customers’ gas purchasing experience

I was visited by the rep Gualberto *** **On 1/18/at approx6pm PST.
You may very well be a legitimate business, and operating within the laws of deregulationBut, this is a form of deceitful customer harvesting that was purposefully misrepresentedYes, I would have been paying less per therm but, was not explained, is that when you added in the per day fee and amount per therm used from Vista, PLUS all the fees to *** to delivery it, it would have cost more than the highest amount I've ever paid for gas from *** while having a variable rate.

Regards, I have already spoke to them once and we could not resolve this problem......I told them I never approved this service at *** *** *** ** *** ** it is a rental property of mine there is a elderly couple there that can NOT! make decisions on my billing so what they did was illegal!
