My complaint has not been resolved because no progress has been madeThe business owner still flat out denies that they had any thing at all to do with the breaking of the light on my watch even though they were the ones who disassembled it or even give me answers as to why I was not notified that the light was no longer working when they received it so that I could file an insurance claim with *** or decide not to have it worked on before I paid for the repairsNot even the slightest apology has been made by the owner nor has any offer been made to take a look at the watch to see if the fix is as simple as their repairman leaving a wire disconnectedThis business only pretends to care about their customers and the property that they entrust to them up until the point that you pay them your hard earned cash, after that they could care less about you or your watches and their one year warranty on their work, which is part of what the customer is paying for, is completely worthless.

The company already had ample time repair the watch, but did not do so They may have expert watch repairers, but they repeatedly failed to repair my watch and then broke the crown cover hinge and instead of repairing it, they tried to blame me for it I never got a chance to wear the watch let alone abuse it I need a refund

The light was working just fine minutes before the watch was boxed up and sent to you so it makes total sense that the person who disassembled and cleaned the internals is the most likely one responsible for it not working nowDid your repair person even bother to check to see if it was functioning either before or after he completed his work? It's very hard to believe that a "master watchmaker" as you call them did not take notice of it since "INDIGLO" is written in bold letters on the watch face and the stem to set the time also controls the lightIf it wasn't working when it arrived in his hands, I should have been notified that it wasn't working and that your firm did not do repairs on lights then, BEFORE the work was paid for or started so that I could contact *** to make an insurance claimBut you missed that chance to deflect responsibility from yourselves, which is very surprising because that is the only field your firm seams to excel in other than website design

Claim was said to be made on JULY [redacted] It is now October * No refund has been issued, no proof that a claim has been filedNo proof that watch was even mailed to me at allIt was indicated to me that I would have a refund by mid September.
Additionally me getting a refund from the company should not be contingent on when the company get's refunded from their insurance The company should issue the refund and themselves be responsible for waiting for their payment from their insurance companyInstead the burden has been passed onto me, the customerI have done nothing wrong to the company, I paid all the money they asked in good faithI have lost a 500$ watch along with another 500$ for repair and the company or [redacted] doesn't even have the common decency to refund me at least the repair cost of the watchI have exercised much patience, I have been courteous and professional with this issueI have not overburdened the company with emails or phone callsI emailed about twice a month and never called them.
I have detected a sense of irritability and arrogance in the replies that I have received from the company and this is not deserved at allI have paid for a service almost exactly months ago and I have nothing to show for it and the company appears to have made no effort whatsoever to correct the situationThis is completely unacceptable.

Because I have not yet been able to determine whether the watch has been returned in the same condition I sent it.  There are numerous public complaints about this business and the condition in which watches have been returned - in some cases, damaged.  Therefore, I request that the matter remain open until I am able to have a professional determine the condition of my watch.  Separately, I would like to pursue consumer fraud protection and have the business investigated.  Thank you. Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] continues to lie by omission.  The point is that I was not told that my purchase was a final sale until I cancelled it (at which time, I had purchased the same watchband from another company at half the price).  I was provided misinformation by his customer service representative and should not be charged for his company's mistake.  
He is correct that I cannot seek satisfaction from American Express.  But, not because they think that he is in the right; he has refused to issue a credit, so they are powerless to help me.  However, they did tell me to seek a third party remedy.
I do not consider someone stealing $200 from me a frivolous matter.

We provide free estimates, but we do make sure the customer is to read the terms and conditions or the FAQ to sign up so they are aware that there is a return shipping fee in the event they decline the repair. The fee comes directly from [redacted] computers.

I am attaching a picture of the watch which shows the condition of it when it was first processed into our system. The customer is stating that we caused scratches to the back of the watch. This is an old, beat up, worn timepiece. To say that we caused any sort of damage is downright nonsensical....

This is wear and tear, or previous poor repair attempts. We did not touch the watch during our evaluation process.

Offered to have customer send it watch for examination. At worst, our policy is to send back watches in the same or better condition than they were received in. Thus, if there is a legitimate claim as to the watch being in worse condition than was sent, we will take care of that issue no problem. We...

 Their level of customer service and/or customer care or concern is inadequate.  I don't want to send my watch back and have them keep for another 3 months and risk additional fantom charges applied in order to get my watch returned.  They lied about the return time of watch (which was important), the lied about their guaranteed quote and in essence returned my watch worse than when it was sent off.  At this point I would not even send them a plastic timex.  When they had my watch and asked for them just to send it back, they wouldn't until I paid the additional charges...not going to risk having my watch held and more money taken from me in order to get it back.

my watch was placed inside a well-padded shipping box, so I don't agree that the watch was damaged during transit. In addition, even though the company pays for shipping inbound, I will have to pay shipping again to have the watch sent back to me. Had they performed quality check on my watch before sending out, I would not have to file a case. My initial desired resolution still stands, or if I get written agreement from the company that they will repair and put my watch in working order, at no cost to me, then I will accept the action. This has been a very time-consuming and frustrating experience for me.
