I looked and looked to try and find the right vehicle and sales staff that would be able to help me with my credit and vehicle problems. I walked into Wausau Auto expecting to hear the same thing I heard from Koucerek and Brickners, that they were unable to help. However, from the moment that I spoke with Joe Janikowski, I knew my experience was going to be different. I didn't end up purchasing my vehicle that day because Joe wanted some time to find me the right vehicle that fit all of my needs and my payment restraints. It only took Joe 1 day to find the perfect vehicle for me. Then to top it off, he drove the vehicle to my home in Marshfield to deliver it to me. Wausau Auto surpassed my expectations by far. I'm a customer for life! Thank you Wausau Auto.

These gentleman did amazing job getting me in my new 2013 edge! [redacted] truly does care about the customer.

Review: In July of 2013 we purchased a Chevy Cruze and traded in our Jetta, first off I want to say this company has sales practices that should be considered illegal. You go to purchase a vehicle and they let you choose from one or two vehicles and that is it. The price we later found out was $9000.00 above market value,absolutely ridiculous. They manipulate and con folks that are in a bind. Needless to say the car we bought from them the turbo went out 6 months later (luckily it was under warranty from Chevy) but that is not the point, we had made a comment at the time about the acceleration and was told it was normal. Also the people there do not want to deal with complaints they put it off to someone else. Well here we are in April of 2014 and we get a letter from Aurora Il telling us that a car registered in our name is in the impound and we owe fines and towing fees and that we need to appear in court in April. Excuse me we sold that car to Wausau Auto we should not be dealing with this. I immediately called the dealer and they basically blew me off telling me not to worry about it. So I sent them an e-mail and told them they had better fix it and contact me within 48hrs or I would get a lawyer (which we have consulted with one). We got another letter from Aurora Ill today and at the bottom it states that the previous registered owner may be held liable for towing and or fines associated with the vehicle. So we called Wausau Auto again on 4/3 and again we were told not to worry where as my wife began to tell them that we had plenty to worry about and the finance manager RICH began to act like a punk kid and started to screech in the phone saying he had a bad connection and hung up, so my wife called back and told the secretary to tell Rich we were contacting a lawyer (note she also hung up on my wife). This company does not give a crap about their customers and we should not be dealing with this. Their employees act like punks and are worthless. We have taken the advice from our lawyer and are writing letters to cover ourselves in the event anything more comes from this. Meanwhile we have been stressed out over something that is not our fault.Desired Settlement: We feel Wausau Auto owes us a written apology and money for damages for the Turbo that we had to have fixed and the time we have had to spend to fix this issue with the Police Dept in Aurora Ill which they should have taken care of for us. We had to borrow a car while the turbo was getting fixed on ours and have spent two days so far taking care of this impoundment of the Jetta. Also isnt there a law against over pricing a car by $9000.00 of what it is actually worth? Reimbursement of that would be nice also, I think someone once said that the cut off is $5000.00 so we want back $4000 plus damages.

Can't begin to describe how amazing of a time I had here! Geio helped me where no one else could. Didn't realize that people could care so much. He not only got me what I always wanted but he was also able to talk to these banks right in front of me SHOWING me how hard he was working. The dealership closed at 6 and he STAYED UNTIL 9PM getting this done for me. That shows the kind of dedication and heart of kindness they have at 199ride. I would like to take the time to thank Ryan [redacted] and all the people at Wausau Auto for the great experience purchasing my 2013 Nissan Altima. They went well out of there way to make car buying fun, easy,enjoyable and affordable. I will defiantly be telling my friends and family to go see Ryan in the future thank you very much.

Went in looking for a vehicle, ended up talking to Mike. He listened to me and worked with me on getting in the the vehicle I wanted. I couldn't be happy. Instead of pushing me into a vehicle he found me the perfect one.

I was extremely satisfied with [redacted]. I was only there momentarily in the morning and he came out to me and my son and politely understood our situation and without even remotely being pushy,laid out everything for us. He let us then have our space, let us go and we came back looking ONLY for him so we could buy a vehicle from him. I couldnt be happier with my purchase!

I just Purchased my Car At Wausau Auto And had a Good experience Jon K. the sales Assoc that Helped Me Buy My Car Did A Great Job Had A Better Experience Buy This Car Over Carmax there Are Some Issues With Car But They Have Been More Than Willing To Resolve The Issues With My Car With No Hassles. everyone There Was More Than Friendly. Have Appt To Resove Issues With Car This Monday But Car Runs Great

I had gotten in contact with Cole and told him what I was looking for in a vehicle and the monthly payments I wanted! He did what he needed to do to find me the perfect vehicle!! Not only do I love my new vehicle but he also made the buying a new car fun! We had a great experience. Our sales guy was [redacted] and he was absolutely great! If you are going here I recommend him for any help. He was very helpful, laid back, and not pushy at all. He worked very hard to get us into our new truck. He continued his great service by calling and making sure we were happy and to answer any and all questions we had. Just an overall awesome experience!

My family and I had a great time with Tony at Wausau auto. He got us into a bigger vehicle which was a nessecity for our family.

Jon was very helpful and assisted us in a timely and friendly manner. He was courteous and worked hard to help us out.

Review: On July 2nd of this year I traveled for more than 2hrs to Wausau to purchase a vehicle from this business. I was told after filling out an application that I was qualified to purchase the vehicle of my choice from their lot and to bring in my $199 down payment, proof of income, proof of residency and my drivers license. I was also told to bring the title for my trade in. Their radio ad says that they will pay $4370 over the blue book value of your trade in regardless of its condition and whether or not it is paid off. My employee went down there two days earlier. She had a 2001 Buick with over 200,000 miles, a little rusty and front end damage. I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo with 160,000 on it and it is in great shape. I have a higher credit rating than she does, make ALOT more money than she does, own my own house (mortgage free mind you)and had a little more for a down payment. She was able to drive off their lot with a 2014 Volkswagon Passat with 37,000 miles on it for only the $200 that she was told for down payment, and they took her trade in. I wanted to purchase a 2014 Ford Focus with 57,000 on it but they would not take my trade in and said I would need ALOT more of a down payment for the vehicle, contrary to what their radio ads claim and what I was told!Desired Settlement: Is that an appropriate resolution? Yes. I want them to abide by their radio advertisement and their statements to me personally and get me in the vehicle that I chose the day I wasted going to their business

After further review, The customer is approved, but he doesn't qualify for the $199 down and the $199 amonth program. All sales and promotions are subject to approval and credit worthiness. We do not determine the customers worthiness, the banks do. You can not compare one customer's experience with another. Every customer is different and the banks will always determine what we can and can't do for a customer. We do apologize for not being able to show the customer a better solution, but the customer was given a proper approval with money down or a qualified cosigner. If the customer chooses to come back we would love to show him his options again and let him choose what direction he wants to go in.

yesterday may 7th 2016 me and my fieonce came in and worked with Jon [redacted] looking for a new car because our transmission went out on our old vehicle Jon and everyone at 199 ride.com/Wausau Auto and everyone was really nice and helpful. Jon hav helped us so much and got us a great deal. They really do stick to their slogan "A dealer for the people" the service was wonderful. in the future will will come back and reccommend this wonderful place to family and friends when we need a new car.

Review: I went to Appleton Auto to apply for a car. It took about 4 hrs. Appleton Auto neede my hourly wage and year to date on my check stub. The one I had didnt have that. They called my job and asked the Human Resource person to verify that. She wouldnt give them the info but gave the password so I could access my paystub on the ADP payroll website. They got what they needed. I was also told that I could post date a check for whenever I could afford it for a down payment. I did that for about 17 days from that date which was the 21st of march 2014. O\I was contacted by the finance co. that everything was good and they just needed more info. The 4th time the finance co. got in touch with me on the !9th they found out I was fired. Thr 1st they contacted me and said everything was good I sold my other car. Appleton Auto cashed the check on the 24th. Im sure they were notified from the finance co. about my employment by then. Appleton Auto said that I needed to verify my employment and that it never was verified. I said you and the finance co. did that at the appropiate time and I assured him that I made my down payment which you cashed and I have enough money to make payment due. He told me to come in and sign a paper saying that I would get my job back or a job within 30 days. When I got there I was told to go in office and when I was in there the boss said he had to check the mileage on car. They surrounded car and blocked my car in with my girlfriend in it and the boss flung open the car door and snatched the keys out of ignition. Scaring my girlfriend!!!!!! The boss came back in and asked me if I needed a ride home. I said no. I will take the care. He opened his hand and showed me the car key and said he is taking the car. His reason was that my job was never verified!! We went round and round about that. I was upset that I was approved and everything was verified so I sold my other car. Plus scaring my girlfriend!!!!! I followed all their rules. They cashed the check. They were very rude about their actions. Scary for my girlfriend.Desired Settlement: To have them go through with their contract. Or get me a car to drive to work.
