Window World of Connecticut Reviews (108)

We got estimates from quite a few contractors. Window World was significantly lower than the others. We are very pleased with the quality of the windows and sliding glass doors we received.
The installation crew was prompt, polite and knowledgeable. They arrived at 8:00 AM, installed 16 windows and two sets of sliding glass doors, removed the old windows and doors, completely cleaned up and left at 3:30 PM.
I would certainly recommend them to someone looking for replacement windows.

Review: I had approximatelly 28 windows installed by this company on 06.19.2013. The quality of the installetion appears to be poor,in spite of letting they knowfrom that day. two windows were broken, one was replaced in about Feb.2014. The second window in the bathroom this company knew about being broken since April/2014. Three appointments for the window to be replace have been done 04/03/2014, 04/17/2014, 04/24/2014 and as recently as today 08.14.2014,with particular times an name of the worker who was to do the job.The owner of the company "[redacted]" appears to always use "[redacted]" excuse of not receiving the window. This kind of Window Business do not appears to treat the customer with respect and dignity that they claim in their brochure. The guarrantee for this windows still in effect.Desired Settlement: I need to have this window replace and installed by Window World without taking advantage of me as a customer.

Response:

We have been trying to reach Mr. [redacted] for the past few weeks

and have had no response to our calls or e-mails, so it is very difficult to

try and figure out what is going on here.

We clearly have more of a communication issue here than a technical

issue.

Mr.

[redacted]’s windows were correctly installed at the end of June 2013, and the

products that were supplied were of a very high quality, as attested to by the

fact that they carry the [redacted] seal and the [redacted] gold seal. Our records show that on 7/1/2013, shortly

after the install, our field supervisor in fact did a physical walk-through and

inspection of the final install to make sure that everything was satisfactory

to the customer. Mr. [redacted] even asked

at the time if he could keep 12-15 of the old storm windows that had been removed. On April 1st 2014 we did replace a

top window sash, under warranty, that had been damaged. Mr. [redacted] was not

there the day we replaced the sash so perhaps he was unaware that it had been

done. On July 18th Mr. [redacted] called with

another issue on a window. At this time

it was difficult to determine what the issue was, as there was a bit of a communication

barrier. No wanting to delay a solution

we went ahead and ordered several different parts for what we thought might be

the issue, but not knowing exactly what the issue was. On 8/14/2014 we sent a service tech out to try

and establish if we could take care of the alleged issue, but unfortunately we determined

that we had not guessed correctly and he said we could return the following

week with the correct replacement sash.

We have been trying ever since then to reach Mr. [redacted] without success.

We have responded to Mr. [redacted]'s requests each time they were

made and have worked diligently and consistently to address any and all

concerns, while at the same time not really understanding what some of those concerns

were. Things can certainly break, or go wrong with

any manufactured product but Mr. [redacted] has a lifetime warranty on these products and we are here to

service that warranty for him. It has been hard to reach him and that has

certainly caused delays in us resolving the issues as quickly as we would have

liked. Our hands are tied if we are

unable to communicate with him.

I am requesting that this complaint be removed by the Revdex.com and ask that Mr. [redacted] please call us so that

we can arrange for someone to go over to go to his home and speak with him

personally in an effort to resolve this it as quickly as we can. We are here to

service his lifetime warranty and so we are both in this for the long

haul. We would much prefer to be working

with Mr. [redacted] than against him going forward.

Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: It is full of misconceptions that may be interpreted as "lies".

1. The quality of the windows are not as great to have as they claim a "gold seal". I asked to leave the old windows because I was tired of seeing the installers wasting time ( for a job that was suppouse to take two days I took four full days).

2.. You did replaced the damage window, thank you, I was not at home but my wife took time off from her job in order to be there. I have to earn a living.

3. I called on around 04.24.2014 according to my notes. I explainded to the owner "[redacted]" it was the long window in the bathroom, and proceed to give measurements. she reported it will have to be shipped from [redacted], USA so it will take a "couple" of weeks. It was not ON JULY, 18, 2018. The couple of weeks in her calendar its different as mine, I still waiting for this window to be in place at my home.

4.On 08.14.2014, I received a message at work around 10:00am in the morning from [redacted], indicating that he could not install the window today because the " employees were in a staff meeting all day" to call the next day. I mentioned that I have taken time off from work in order to have that installed today. He reported " I am sorry there is nothing I can do". If they went into the property on 08.14.2014 thats is new to me, because they had cancelled.

Best practice to do business is to let customers know ahead of time. This business does not have the disipline to carry that on. Besides its jut another deception from the top of this business organization. They should not be doing business in the State of Connecticut, and then blame the customer.

I wish my experience would have been different otherwise I will no be filling this complain. Thank you for your attention.Sincerely,[redacted]

Excellent type of windows to be replaced and workmanship!

My wife and I had a fine experience with Window World in Manchester, CT. Candi called to confirm our installation for the 28th of December. Then Rick and his son Rick showed up on time and proceeded to install 9 windows. They were both friendly and interesting to talk to. They took their time and the new windows look great in spite of the fact that some of the window openings were not square. Our house was built in 1832. This was an all around positive experience. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and neighbors.

My wife and I had our siding, roof, insulation and gutters done by Window World. They also did some of our doors and some windows as well. Anton, the owner, was a pleasure to work with and the staff of Window World were excellent, professional and personable and we truly enjoyed our experience of working with them. The quality of the workmanship was superb and we were delighted with the end results. Anton took a personal interest to make sure the project didn't get delayed and came to check on the work several times during the execution phase. The cost was very reasonable and much lower than other quotes we received. We would recommend them highly for any of your window, door, roofing, siding, gutters, and insulation needs.

Review: I hired Window World to install 22 windows in my home in 2013. Of those 22, one was dismantled, and was not available for installation, although the old window frame and storm were removed. 7 of the installed windows were done improperly and the screens do not mate up evenly with the frame . There are gaps at the bottom edges rendering them useless for keeping out the bugs thus rendering the windows useless as far as opening them.

The exteriors where the old window frames met the wood need to be painted.

This installation as discussed prior to signing the contract was to have taken place in a 2 day period, but the installers insisted on 1 day. A less hasty installation might have prevented this complaint to have had to be submitted.

To their credit, one of the installers / sales persons came out to look at the poor workmanship last year. I wasn't around for 5 months last year and could not be contacted, but if they really cared about their reputation they would have been persistent on following up on this situation. They advertise a 100% lifetime labor warranty.Desired Settlement: Refund or repair. I can not afford to take time off from work to be here for the repair work but will allow them to be able to enter the dwelling to resolve this unfortunate situation on their own. I get really aggravated every time I hear one of their b.s. commercials !

Attached is the completion certificate signed by the customer in October 2013.As you can see he was extremely happy with the work that we did. Everything was completed to his satisfaction. We last responded to him on May 17th, 2014 when one of our guys spent 2 hours at his house going through every window in his house. He went through every window to ensure that it was working correctly.See Attached Document

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I had not noticed at the time of signing the comment form that seven of the screens did not line up with the frames at the bottoms of the windows. That is why I called them to come out and look at the problem. Although [redacted] did see the flaws in the instillation and know that they dismantled a kitchen pantry window without replacing it because they did not have the window with them on instillation day. They have not made an attempt to fix what I showed [redacted]. The gaps under the screens should not be there!!. The pantry window no longer has storm windows since they took it apart and disposed of them.

Sincerely,

Courteous staff and easy to work with. WW did a great job on my windows. I couldn't ask for better service. Will do business with them again.

Window World representatives were very friendly on the phone (Candi) in making appointments to make a sales presentation and measure our windows. The sales representative, Dylan, was very experienced in his work, was honest in answering our questions, and flexible in making a change to our contract when we decided to go with colored finish on some of our windows. The installer, Kevin, came alone and needed two visits to finish the job because hedges in front of our house caused him to need the extra time for outdoor trim work. We noticed the lack of drafts in our house immediately! Very satisfied with Window World!
