Penn Foster sent an account to collections, *** *** ***, stating that I owed them $for a Medical Billing and Coding program I have an email from Penn Foster stating that I only owed $and not $ The school never contacted me to tell me they were sending this account to collections The classes are self-taughtYou take multiple choice tests online Which you can repeat if you first fail them Penn Foster does not place any effort any educating anyone through their mock education system If you need assistance you have to email someone, maybe a qualifed teacher who emails you back in a week, by that time you are late in your computerized assignments This is definitely not a quality education and the courses are not transferable and does not meet the state community college standards Time and money was basically wasted!
On August 29, 2016, I requested a cancellation of the account for the "Medical Billing and Coding" program that I was enrolled in through Penn FosterI was immediately told (through chat services) that I was not allowed to cancel my account; however, as soon as the chat ended I was locked out of my account with the screen stating "Your account has been cancelledPlease call ###-###-#### for account information." Over the next two days, I received emails asking me to confirm the cancellation, which I didNone of the emails stated that I owed a balance on the accountHowever, I am now receiving billing statements in the mail requesting the amount of $for the remainder of the program that has not been completed and I have been denied access toAdditionally, not only have I not received all of the course materials, but I was immediately locked out of an account for which Penn Foster is requesting full payment for I should not have to pay full price for a program and material
So about a month ago I completed my proctor exams for classes which were Biology, Animal Anatomy and Animal Anatomy Recently I received my grades back and I passed Biology and Animal Anatomy but they said I failed Animal Anatomy Keep in mind, there is no way I can see how I did on my examsI emailed the school asking why I failed and If there was anyway I could see which answers were right and wrongThey proceeded to tell me they could not give me any help and I wasn't allowed to review my answers, followed by telling me I skipped questions and didn't answer themAs of right now I have no proof if I actually didn't answer them or not, which I assure you I did because I had a proctor watch over me and review all my answers before mailing it back to the schoolI asked them again about seeing my tests and they refuse my requestsSo as of now they are charging me 500$ to re take the class and the exam again , and I have to believe their word that I skipped questionsA
