19c Trolley Square, Wilmington, DE, 19806, [redacted] *** [redacted] Dear [redacted] ***, This is in response to the complaint made by our customer, [redacted] , (Customer complaint ID # [redacted] ) Mrs [redacted] states there was an unauthorized charge made on her account in the amount of $Upon reviewing our records, we see there was an online application form filled out by the client on December the 8th, 2016, which gives the client a day free trial to our email to fax programIf the client does not contact the company within the day trial period to cancel, the fee of $ will apply, The client had first contacted the customer service department on January the 11th, Upon her request her file had been canceled on that date, she also requested a refund for this chargeA refund was going to be issued out, however, Mrs [redacted] has apparently disputed our fee with her bank, which she confirms in her complaint to youThis act has authorized her bank to pursue her refund for her, and removes our ability to refund this on our own accordIn regards to her refund, she needs to ask her bank what the situation is with that, as it is now out of our handsThis is what happens when you file an affidavit with your bank Mrs [redacted] No Customer Service employee we have, would ever advise any of our clients, we are with MicrosoftWe have nothing to do with MicrosoftIt is also impossible for us to obtain anyone's banking info just by having their e-mail addressMrs [redacted] did not understand very much of what we advised when she called us, so I will explain in detail here, how this tranaction was authorized; You Can Fax Too currently has many advertisements on multiple websites, many of which are On Line Loans, or Credit checksWe purchase these ads in block formats, bundles if you will with these companiesThe arrangement of these advertisements are what is called an 'Assumed sale' approachWhen someone is on a website making an on line purchase, at the point of check out you are presented with additional offers and promotions you may be interested inIf you do not wish to participate in them, you have to unclick the boxes associated with them (which have already been checked off) in order to refuse their offerFailing to do so, means that after the free trial period expires, if you do not call or e-mail to cancel, the charge for the promotion will be sent to whatever payment method was used to make your on line purchase withThese promotions do not require a magnifying glass to see, they are presented in the same size font as everything else on the site is presented inThis is not illegal, as many many companies are using this tacticAn example of this that everyone should know about is if you are browsing the net using a different browser than the one you normally use, ie: if your default is Yahoo, and you are using Google to search for something, there will be a request with a box already checked off, asking if you want to make Google your permanent home page and /or browserIf you don't want that to happen, you HAVE TO UNCLICK THE ALREADY CHECKED BOX TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENINGThis is called "Assumed Sale technique", and it's perfectly legalIt is not our fault if people don't read things thoroughlyI hope this clears up any misconceptions on this situation Thank you for your time in this matter, Sincerely; Client Affairs
