[redacted]
This is in response to the 2nd complaint made by our customer, [redacted], (Customer complaint ID # [redacted]) Mrs. [redacted] states there was an unauthorized charge made on her account in the amount of $36.96. We addressed this issue our first reply, she states her information was hacked previously, siting a sign up for a Discover bank account, which she did not instigate. In these matters, the only thing we can do is cancel her file, to ensure no further charges are possible. As she states she has closed out her account, we would need additional account information in order to effect a refund. Refunds are electronic, going back to the account the same way it was withdrawn.  However, it has not been made clear as to whether Mrs. [redacted] has sought out bank action on this matter. This must be made clear before any further action is taken on our part. As for proof of authorization, Mrs. [redacted]'s story of the Discover bank account should serve to back up her claims that her information has been compromised. Subsequently the results of a file with us would serve the same purpose for us. There isn't much to 'show', the on line form contained the required fields, first and last name, address, telephone number, and method of payment, which in this case was her Chase account information, account number ending in 1043
Just to re-iterate, once a clients file is cancelled, no further charges from us can take place.
Thank you for your time in this matter,
Sincerely;
[redacted]

The client had first contacted the customer service department on July the 24th} 2014. She had simply just asked what the company was and that she wanted to cancel the service. The customer service rep she had spoke too informed her that they had put a cancellation of the subscription and provided a confirmation [redacted]. Upon receiving this notice from you we have sent a check out to the client to make up for the 3 months of charges which is a total of $110.88.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Hello According to what they have said I had contacted them in January For a 30 day free trial of something and that is not correct. The ponly 30 day trial I have ever done was with HULU. I have never had contact with them or their affliiates until they tried to scam money from my account. I also have never said they were charging me for over a year. I did get my money back from my bank But They Are Not A Reputable Company

Dear [redacted]             This is in response to the complaint made by our customer, [redacted], (Customer complaint...

ID # [redacted]) Mr. [redacted] states there was an unauthorized charge made on his account in the amount of $50.38. We do not have any programs for that amount. Upon reviewing our records, we see there was an online application form filled out by the client on February 19th, 2016, for the amount of $ 36.96, which gives the client a 30 day free trial to our email to fax program. If the client does not contact the company within the 30 day trial period to cancel, the fee of $ 36.96 will apply, Mr. [redacted] contacted our customer service department yesterday by phone, leaving a voice mail message demanding a refund. As per his request, his file had been canceled on that date, a refund request was submitted, it should be processed within 7 - 10 business or working days time from today's date. Once a clients file is cancelled, no further charges from us can take place.             Thank you for your time in this matter, Sincerely; Client Affairs

There was an electronic check debited from my account in the amount of $36.96. I have never signed up for an account, heard of, or authorized payment to this company. I called the # printed on the e-check for this company. The rep that answered said I signed up for a trial of their service 30 days ago and the trial period ended and therefore I was charged the $36.96. I do not fax, I have no desire to fax, I have no need to fax...do people even still fax!? PDF files emailed, that's the process I use...The rep gave me the email address I supposedly signed up with. It was a bunch of random letters and numbers @gmail.com. NOT my email address. The bank listed on the check is Washington Mutual! Chase took over WaMu years ago!! Very suspicious. The rep "cancelled" my account, but of course wouldn't refund my $. I filed a claim with my bank. I've seen numerous other complaints of this nature here, I don't understand how this company keeps getting away with this! This is FRAUD, plain and simple!!!

I found a charge of $36.96 on my checking account. I had never heard of "youcanfaxtoo". Checked out the website and see what they do (fax w/o fax machine). Already have this for free (efax / jfax). Rep cancelled my subscription. I asked for refund of charges billed. She said she'd submit it, but it may or may not happen since I authorized the charge. I asked how and when I did this and she said it could have come from an online shopping site, payday loan, or credit review site. My online shopping is mostly limited to Amazon, and I don't use my checking account when I shop anyway (I use a credit card with a rebate). I do use a credit review site, but it's free (credit karma) and I've been doing it for year w/o problems. The payday loan seems more suspect. About 4 years ago I did some payday loans. I used the checking account that this was billed to. Youcanfaxtoo had an old address (2 years old). That was the address I had when I did payday loans. Could the payday loan place decide to send this through 4 years later (for a referral fee, I'd guess)? Maybe they're the bad actor here.

Anyway, I'd like to see a refund of the $36.96 since this is not something I asked for, want, or used.

Review: Checking account charged 36.96 by electronic check that was not authorized or even signed up for. I have contacted our bank to file a complaint and a hold on the check. want the money replaced to the account and charges filed against them for consumer fraudDesired Settlement: repayment of funds along with any charges against fraud

Business

Response:

Our mutual client [redacted] states in his complaint he wants to be refunded for our charge of $36.96. Apparently, Mr. [redacted] has authorized his PNC Bank to refute our charge on his behalf. He should have the money back into his account by now. His file was closed when he called to cancel on March 30, 2015. Once a file is cancelled, no further charges will apply.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: In the past two years this company has managed to take money out of my checking account using an electronics check with an address that I've not lived on for over 9+years. I have complained, called and even a stop payment order through my bank by paying $35.00 every time they try to take money out. I've asked me to send me my signed authorization, and time and time again they have failed to provided. After various phone calls and pleading they issued me a refund and was told that they have closed my account.

Now on July 10, 2013 they did the same thing the only different this time was the amount had gone down from$49.99 to $36.96. I called on the 12th of July and I was told that they would refund and close my account. when I contacted bank, the bank advised me to close that account and open another one which I refused to do since that's all I have and that where everyone is assigned to collect my monthly.

When I called today, they told me that my bank had rejected the credit and when I contacted my bank they asked me to ask them to give them the rejected number for them to research at that time they hanged up the phone. BY the time I found someone again, I was told that they never sent the credit to the bank, they can send me a check for the amount as long as I update my personal information with them which I refused to do so. I asked them to send the check directly to my Bank and was willing to give them their address they refused. I ask them to western-union the money . Now they said they will issue the check and send it to the address they have in file from 10years when in fact they can credit my account and they refuse to do that.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund the amount back to my account.

Review: There was an unathorized ACTH debit from my checking account in the amount of 36.96.Desired Settlement: I do not want them to access my account ever again through debit or credit. I am also having my bank look into this for fraud. This business needs not to be operation. I have heard of many complaints from other individuals about this company. Please investigate and do all you can to get this matter handled for many innocent citizens. Thank You.

Review: A charge was made by this company and I have no association with them. I live in Hawaii and they are in Delaware.Desired Settlement: I want any money that was taken out of my account returned plus any charges incurred from my bank.

Review: They have accessed my account twice without permission and caused an insufficient check chargeDesired Settlement: I want my money back that they took and the extra they cost me.

Response:

This is in response to the complaint made by our mutual customer, [redacted]. (Case number [redacted] states there were two unauthorized charges made on their account in the amount of $36.96 each. One of which had caused an overdraft charge in the amount of $56.00. Upon reviewing our records, we seen there was an online application form filled out by the client which gives the client a 30 day free trial to our email to fax program, if the client does not contact the company within the 30 day trial period to cancel, the fees of$

36.96 will apply,

The client had first contacted the company on February the 3rd, 2014, [redacted] claimed these charges were unauthorized and had caused the overdraft charge. At which point the customer service representative had put a cancellation on the file and submitted a request for 2 refunds in the amount of $36.96 each and also the overdraft charge of $56.00 was also returned back to the client and a confirmation number of: 199320 was issued to the client as well.

The Following day, February the 4th, 2014, a physical check was sent out to the clients address that was provided in the online request form of: [redacted], in the amount of $129.92, when we look into our files we see that the check was received and cashed on the date of February the 12th, 2014. We have yet to hear anything more from this client and assume this matter has been resolved by all parties involved.

Review: This company has compromised my banking account information and I request that my funds be returned to my account within the next 48 hours. Every time I call the company, it sends me to voice mail. I have never spoken to anyone from this company nor have I requested their services.Desired Settlement: Refund of funds immediately.

Review: this company debited my checking account in the amount of $36.96 fraudulently. I did not authorize this account nor have I ever had any contact with this company prior to this unauthorized debit. As a result of this debit my checking account has been overdrawn, costing me a $25 fee. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THEY HAVE GAINED ACCESS TO MY BANKING INFORMATION! I am closing my account NOW. Which will cause all kinds of inconveniences. I have googled this company to find that they have done this to many people. This company is a scam. I have contacted my bank and alerted them and I am going now to file a police report.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded and the overdraft fees associated with it. I want these people arrested and to stop scamming people. I am contacting authorities

We received your letter of complaint by our mutual client [redacted], your case number for her is [redacted]Mrs. [redacted] has never contacted us, had she done so we would have cancelled her file and issued a refund. All she had to do was ask.We have cancelled Mrs. [redacted]'s file with us on today's date, she has a cancellation number of [redacted] Our file shows our fee of $36.96 did not clear her account with First Community Credit Union. She was charged an NSF for that. As we did not charge Mrs. [redacted] anything for the NSF situation, we will not be refunding her banks NSF fee. We do not accept responsibility for any bank charges. As our fee did not clear Mrs. [redacted]s account, a refund will not be submitted to her.

Review: This company took money out of my checking account for 3 months without my approval. $36.96 per month. I did not approve or order any services from this company. I called this company to find out what they do and I told them they had been taking money out of my account. I do not know how they got my bank information.Desired Settlement: I want my money back! $36.96 times 3 months

Review: A debit to my bank account in the amount of 36.96 appeared. This unauthorized charge was in form of an 'electronic check.' This looked suspicious as I had not authorized such charge. After researching this company, it appears to be a company who will allow utilizing a cell phone to act as a fax machine. Once it become apparent what this company provides, I contacted to inquire about such charges as I myself am a business owner have full access to several fax machines. Lisa, the CSR who answered their toll free number could only guarantee the "subscription" would be cancelled but could not guarantee a refund. I proceeded to email the customer service address found on their website at which time "Peter" stated that he would open a case and if the service had indeed not been utilized, a refund could take as long as 7 business days. He has yet to accept responsibility for the company failing to verify the account prior to initiating a debit. I have provided my reasons and proposals to the company that a refund in the amount of $36.96 is due and they aren't in agreement. I would like for the Revdex.com to investigate this matter further, not only to protect myself but also to protect other unsuspecting people from such fraudulent activity. Typing this organization into a Google search engine search, it appears this is quite common practice.Desired Settlement: Anything short of an immediate refund in the amount of $36.96 is simply unacceptable. These charges are blatantly unauthorized.

Review: I have had this company take money out of my bank account without authorization by me. I had never heard of this company until that was done. I have been trying to get this 36.96 dollars back from them. They had refused for me to talk to a supervisor and has only said they had no physical place alone for them. They have a different company taking the money out of accounts. Could you please check into this company and see if their legit or not. I feel like I was scammed by themDesired Settlement: I feel that they scammed me out of $36.96 for not proving to me who they are. I got this address from their billing company and the phone number from my bank.

Review: This company debited my checking account in the amount of $36.96 fraudulently. I did not authorize this account nor have I ever had any contact with this company prior to this unauthorized debit. As a result of this debit my checking account has been overdrawn in the amount of $214.00. I had checks out for bills that were not paid because of this debit and I have contacted the company. They refused to repay the money they took and they refused to also pay any of the overdraft charges I was charged. I am also going to have to pay extra money to the businesses that I wrote checks to for my bills. This is going to cost me almost $500.00 when all is said and done. The company has since refused to return my phone calls and when I call them it goes straight to voice mail. They need to make this right. I want all of the money back that this has cost me and I want it taken care of immediately.Desired Settlement: I not only want my money back that they took but also all of the overdraft fees the bank has charged me as a result of this fraudulent charge as well as the money it is going to cost me extra to pay off the checks they caused to bounce on me. I also want a written letter of apology from them clearing my good name because they caused me much pain and embarrassment as a result of this issue. This was a fraudulent charge. I never contacted them and I never authorized this charge.

Review: saw in my bank account today that there was a charge of $36.96 check #1 which is ridiculous. I went onto their website to find out who they are and saw that this is a recurring monthly charge to send and receive faxes via email. I have never contacted this company nor do I even need this type of service and I can't even get in touch with them. they do not answer phone, if you try to leave a msg it cuts you short and they do not answer emails.Desired Settlement: shut them down. apparently they keep doing this.

Response:

Our mutual client [redacted] states in her complaint she has not been able to reach us by phone, and we did not reply to her e-mails. We show 2 recorded conversations with her on February 22, 2015. No e-mails have been received by us from the client. We cancelled Mrs. [redacted]'s file with us on Feb 22, 2015. Mrs. [redacted]advised us that she had her bank account closed. We advised that negates our ability to submit a refund. She was not happy with that reply, we refund electronically, and can only do so to an open account. If she wishes us to refund her for the amount of our service charge of $36.96, we can do so, but we need an active account number to send that to. We have not heard from Mrs. [redacted] since Feb 22, 2015.This is how things currently stand.

Review: This company took money out of our bank account without our us knowing and then made us overdrawn in our bank account. They told us that we singed up for it on line but we never did. we called them and asked for our money back they said they would in 4 to 7 business days and never did. called them back and they told us they was having problems and it would be another two weeks and they would not help with the over draft chargers. they took out $ 39.96 and we was charged over draft chargers of $ 58.00. I don't think it is right that someone can just take money out of your account without even signing up for something. the phone number to reach them is [redacted].thanks[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund my money and I think they should help with the overdraft charges.then something should be done to keep them from doing this to others.
