Review: I signed up for Zocdoc's services on June [redacted] 2014.

The fee was $1,479.45 until December [redacted] 2014. I was signed up with Zocdoc based on the information the representative had given to me verbally and in an email of what my practice should see in terms of patients from their site and after 3 months this is not the case. The results are very poor. Since I had no patients from ZocDoc, I contacted them after the [redacted] month and was told to wait because it takes time. I spent a lot of time speaking to the representative and trying to improve the number of patients that were referred from Zocdoc and after 3rd month now I am being told there is not guarantees of anything.

As part of our agreement, ZocDoc was supposed to list my availability online, so that patients could make appointments. However, they have not shown my availability online; they have intentionally blocked my schedule for five days, so that patients can make appointments with other providers. Below is the email from the representative stating that they have a time buffer preventing me from showing availability for 5 days, which was not in the contract when I signed up for it.

Plus the fact that , I was told PT was an in demand and I would be making back twice my investment .This company uses deceptive business practices to operate.

Hi there [redacted],

I understand your concern here with the buffer that is preventing you from showing availability today and until 10/*. I would love to go over this time buffer with you, but feel it might be easier to explain over the phone. Would there be a time you would be able to discuss this?

Feel free to let me know what time would be best for you, or simply give us a call at ###-###-####.

I hope you have a good Friday!

ZocDoc has also failed to keep up the agreement and post my availability online, so that patients could directly make appointments.

At this time, I have not been contacted by ZocDoc regarding complaint ID [redacted].

The ZocDoc representative in charge of this case is [redacted] <[redacted]>

Is it possible for Revdex.com to contact the ZocDoc representative by E-Mail?

ZocDoc never lived up to what they promised, and also neverrefunded me a single penny for the service I paid until December [redacted] 2014.

I still want to receive a refund. This case has not been resolved.

I’d appreciate your help regarding the subject matter.

Thank you!

Below is the E-Mail I have received from ZocDoc on October [redacted]:

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

ZocDoc was negligent in providing services and now attempts to rely upon fees and payment policy to obviate their duty

to refund the $1,479.45 fee.

ZocDoc subsequently admitted their negligence

in providing services as shown on the below E-Mail from a ZocDoc representative.

I have also spoken on the phone to ZocDoc representative, [redacted], who stated that “ZocDoc has dropped the

ball”. And those were his own words. It is

clear that such an arbitrary action does not provide any remedy for me.

ZocDoc has not been acting in good faith and

fairness. In fact, this

company uses deceptive business practices to operate.

Bottom line: I should not pay for a negligent

service and have the right to receive a full refund.

Review: The sales rep laid out the following case for signing up: based on search volume for our service in our zip code, and appointments scheduled with other practitioners, we could estimate patient generation from their site starting around 5/m and growing to perhaps 10/m in a year. Seemed completely reasonable.

Unfortunately, they have delivered 0 patients in 5 months. This includes completed appointments through their site, as well as, booking by phone or otherwise. We take lead sources data for every patient that comes in. There has also been zero web traffic from the profile to our website.

We have gone through all the steps they recommend for gaining traction and we have seen no results. I started asking for refunds some time ago and they have consistently denied them.

You cannot deliver nothing. If numbers were a little low or slow to build I wouldn't complain. But zero is zero.Desired Settlement: Full refund. An apology for wasting my time instead of just giving the refund when I asked would also be appreciated.

Here is the my response:

ZocDoc continues to refuse a refund despite the fact that their sales rep completely misrepresented the volume we could expect from an investment with them. After receiving ZERO leads in the first 6 months, complaining to our account rep and manager and filing this complaint, they still refuse a refund. We have closed our account with ZocDoc and plan no further business with them.

Review: I was contact by a salesperson about listing my practice under Zocdoc.com for a subscription fee. The salesperson gave an option of 3 year, 1 year or month to month subscription. I agreed to a month to month subscription. Then Zocdoc.com went ahead and charged my credit card for 1 year subscription. After initial communications and an acknowledgement from Zocdoc.com account manager that there was a misunderstanding, I was informed that month to month subscription is no longer offered to my specialty and that there was no way for Zocdoc.com to refund my credit card. Furthermore, I have asked repeatedly for the user agreement and regulatory documents pertaining to federal statutes like HIPAA without any answer from Zocdoc.com. I have been unable to communicate with Zocdoc.com representative for the past week even after repeated phone calls and emails. Basically, Zocdoc.com pulled a bait and switch and is now refusing both to re-mediate nor answer my correspondenceDesired Settlement: Stop my practice from listing on Zocdoc.com and refund the subscription fee.

My complaint ID [redacted]has been resolved with mutual agreement.

Review: Zocdoc has not deliver any patient since we started this relationship. From the very beginning, we had issues. I asked about whether their system will work with mine. Chad W. promised there would be no problems and that the system should work. From that conversation we initiated an agreement based on the premise that I was promised the automated computer system will work to synchronize with my practice management's scheduling system and that I can use their automated patient reminder system. I was also promised about three new patients per month. I was forced to sign a low expectation form because I do not accept insurance plans. I specifically asked and expressed that I need the computer to work with their system. Otherwise, I am not interested in doing this. We had had multiple issues with getting the system to synchronize. At the end, their computer cannot accommodate my computer system's security protocol. In other words, they cannot deliver any service they promised they can deliver...i.e., false advertising. I had e-mailed them and they had agreed that they will terminate and refund me monies for unused services. Now they are claiming that I had signed an agreement with them that they cannot refund any money. They have a very deceiving practice. If they cannot deliver the services, they, as a business, should be apologetic and refund the money.Desired Settlement: Refund for unused contract term. $2500 should be refunded.

If you cannot deliver the services as promised, refund the monies for the unused portion. I had asked for a refund at the end of the second month. At this point, we had used almost three months. They have digressed and distracted my e-mails for almost a month before they flat out said they cannot refund the money because of a signed contract. From the very beginning, they did not fulfill or deliver any service to my practice except for aggravation and grief from their system unable to work with mine. In a business, we gain something by paying for a service. I have gained no benefits and they are insisting to subject me to the signed agreement.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Zocdoc claimed they would do something to improve my results. The person who I need to talk to and who supposedly can do something to change my results is somehow always unavailable when I attempt to contact him to discuss things. One time, the answer was he will be out for the weekend. The second time was he needed to reach back to me tomorrow. If a client is upset and they know they need to get back to the client right away, is this the right way to respond? Is this a legitimate business or are the employees just running around and picking up the phone when they have 5 minutes of their spare time? Regardless, it is either a horrible coincidence or they just do not have a real answer to improve results so I am being pushed around without any real answer. This is what they mean by they have already attempted to resolve this with me. So I am not happy with the business response.

Please add to my reply... I had forgotten to clarify that I did not a get a resolution to my primary complaint which was to get a refund and why I am not satisfied with their reply. I have an e-mail where they said they acknowledge to a refund my monies if I do not get results after three months. They subsequently replied to my request for a refund that they cannot refund my money because we have a one year agreement and it is non-refundable; but I did not actually sign an agreement with Zocdoc (either physically or electronically). They simply sent me a copy of an agreement AFTER I paid for the services. Regards,[redacted]

Review: They claimed to have several users in our area that are interested in our service. After we signed up, there hasnt been a single user. Theyre trying to put the blame on us by saying we dont have a link to their website, we dont have reviews and a photo. Review: I am a dentist in Maryland who enlisted the services of ZocDoc inc. We used them for a few months to refer patients to our practice. They asked to place a "book now button" on our website that will help patients make appointments with our office.

We discontinued using their service because we did not feel it provided enough patient referral. Once we stopped using their service, they kept the button on our website and now it refers patients that surf our website to other dentists !

We requested they remove the button. They refused as "we do not have contract with them anymore".Desired Settlement: Remove their button off my website.

Review: I am a psychotherapist and signed up with [redacted] on 1/*/2016. The [redacted] user agreement states my title (Dr), my name, and my credentials, which are [redacted] and [redacted]. These credentials indicate that I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have a doctorate in pastoral care and counseling ([redacted]).

At the time of signing up with [redacted] I paid their fee of $3,000 and was told I would now be able to customize my listing to show my credentials, the insurance plans I participate in, and my office hours. Almost as soon as I paid their fee, however, [redacted] reneged on this.

I have repeatedly asked that this be corrected. On 1/**/2016 I received an email from them with their final determination to not list me correctly. Their email states: “[redacted]. [redacted]”

Sincerely,

Review: Our company has attempted to close our account multiple times due to the service not successfully working for our patients, repeated complaints about appointments not being scheduled through the website, as well as the overall dissatisfaction with the service and lack of value it has for our company. Austin L[redacted], a Senior Account Manager, stated that the doctor needed to contact him directly to close the account. Despite repeated contact by an office manager, company executive and owner through phone calls and emails, Mr. L[redacted] stated that he would now not close the account unless the doctor contacted him over the phone directly. Over three months ago we attempted to close the account, at this time they refused to close the account, stating that our company was paid through December [redacted]. The account was then said to expire on December [redacted]. Since that time, Mr. L[redacted] has attempted to renew the contract. There have been 6 recent attempts to close the account, of which Mr. L[redacted] stated were not sufficient. His last email response to the owner of the company stated "our subscription will run for another month at the $300 market rate." The biggest mistake our company has made was investing in ZocDoc and their pushy, unprofessional and demanding staff when there are better, cheaper and more efficient options available.Desired Settlement: An email has been sent to Mr. L[redacted] requesting that once again, the account be closed and that all additional attempts of contact be ended. Review: I was contacted by ZocDoc last fall. They are an online patient recruiting company. Patients can search their site for providers near them, read reviews, find out about the office, and book appointments online. The [redacted] repeatedly told me I can expect 5 new patients a month using their services. The [redacted], [redacted], said through a text message I have, "You would be profiting a few thousand per month by being on zocdoc. Check out the numbers and then for whatever reason you still choose not to then that's fine but the 3000 for the year will be covered within 2 months.". This was completely false; My one-year contract started in October, and to date my office has seen 5 new patients who cited zocdoc as the way they found my office.Desired Settlement: I expect Zocdoc to refund me the entire amount I paid for their ill-provided services. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This is a quote from the ZocDoc [redacted] ([redacted]) who worked with me to set up the contract: "You would be profiting a few thousand per month by being on zocdoc. Check out the numbers and then for whatever reason you still choose not to then that's fine but the 3000 for the year will be covered within 2 months." The "standard agreement" they speak of was made based on lies told to me by their [redacted], which should essentially nullify any agreement made. This matter seems straight forward to me: I was lied to by their [redacted] and now their service is not producing what I expected entering the agreement- My understanding is that I was misled by their [redacted], and I believe the appropriate way to concede is to refund me for the results they promised me but I did not receive. If I ever promised someone results and I didn't get them the results I told them I would, there would most definitely be a refund. I believe this to be true for most decent honest individuals. I will not consider this issue resolved until a refund is provided. Thank you.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: I had a discussion with [redacted] (IS executive at ZocDoc) regarding beginning to use ZocDoc to develop patent referrals for my practice on a trial basis. I was told that it would cost $300.00 per month and that I had to renew each month. [redacted] had made an offer to reduce the price if I purchased the entire year for $3000.00 making a savings of $600.00. I told him I didn't want that and I wanted to do it monthly so I could see if it was worth it for me to continue and we agreed to proceed with a monthly charge. When I received my [redacted] bill I noted that I was charged $3000.00. I immediately called ZocDoc and was referred to someone in the billing department, who told me my specialty was not able to be charged on a monthly basis and refused to refund the $2700.00 dollars that they fraudulently charged me. No contract or anything in writing was ever generated. No documentation as to terms or restrictions was offered. I called [redacted] and have disputed paying $2700.00. I have taken ZocDoc software off of my computer as well as the link to there scheduling software off of my website and have contacted the office of ZocDoc to tell them I am terminating the use of their services. I have left messages for [redacted] on two occasions without any response.Desired Settlement: ZocDoc should refund my [redacted] charges for $2700.00 immediately. These charges were never authorized. Sincerely,

Review: I went into contractual agreement with Zocdoc, with a 1 year contract starting Aug. *, 2013 for $3000 for the year. Their sales rep, [redacted], came to my office to pitch their product in July of 2013. During the sales pitch, the rep led me to believe that they were the biggest online "find a doctor" company, and that they had built very strong relationships with HR departments of large local companies in my area, as well as built a wonderful online reputation and presence, in order to increase my new patient flow into my practice. The rep [redacted], verbally guaranteed me that I would see approximately 40-60 new patients in the first year of doing business together. Unfortunately, Zocdoc never delivered. In fact, it took 4 months, before the very 1st patient ever called, and eventually walked through my office front door in late November of 2013. Prior to November, I made numerous calls in my first few months to express how dissatisfied I was with their service, or lack there of. Every time I called, the problem was thrown back in my face, and that I needed to do more on my end to make a difference. I listened intently and followed every recommendation they made for me to increase new patient flow. Unfortunately, they never answered any of my questions regarding what they were doing on their end to increase new patient flow. Zocdoc continued to skirt around the truth regarding their so called HR relationships with local big businesses and never answered where all of my new patients (that they guaranteed to send me) were hiding. At the end of 6 months, the count was up to 2 new patients. At that time, I also noticed that Zocdoc added at least 6-10 more businesses (my direct competition) within a 5 mile radius of my office to their list of "contracted" doctors. When I complained about this, I was told that Zocdoc is an "open" platform for patients to find doctors. However, if they knew my new patient flow was stagnant (2 patients in 6 months which I complained about to them regularly, since they guaranteed me 40-60), why would they sign up all these other doctors in my area? For that they had no answer. I even sent a complaint letter to the [redacted] of Zocdoc, which got no response at all. During the last 6 months, I made numerous calls to express my concerns which unfortunately continued to fall upon deaf ears except until recently. And then, their only concern was to sign me up for another year for $3000. My 1 year contract is ending in a few days, and the # of new patients of record climbed to a grand total of 6. Six! Yes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Really? Where are the other 34-54 new patients they guaranteed? Well they certainly didn't show up to my office, and my contract ends in 5 days.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $3000

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

To whom it may concern:

My complaint with the Revdex.com and problem account with Zocdoc was never resolved. As you can see, I filed a complaint against Zocdoc in early August. Apparently, someone from Zocdoc called and spoke to my [redacted] to resolve the complaint, but nothing was actually ever done besides calling my office to chat. As seen in my initial complaint letter posted on the Revdex.com website, Zocdoc guaranteed me 40-60 new patients in the first year of doing business with them. I got a grand total of 6 in 1 year of doing business with them. After, signing me up, they also signed up numerous other Doctors (my direct competition) in my area, and over saturated the market. They never lived up to what they promised, and also never refunded me a single penny. Please re-open this investigation.

Sincerely,

Review: To Whom It May Concern:

I have received since October of last year, 6 or more phone calls about the services and they tried to sell me services we have no need for and aren't interested in. I repeatedly told every sales person "NO, we are not interested in paying for referrals" Today another sales rep by passed me, the Administrator and contacted the physician directly. He is aware of the services and made the decision to say "NO" they are relentless and pushy and will not stop calling our office. They change sales people to call us and continue to hound us for our business. I consider these sales practices to be very pushy and unprofessional. When a consumer says NO we mean NO. Maybe you can bypass Administrators at other locations, however I have been an Administrator for years and I do nothing without the knowledge of the physician owner. I consider this harassment now, as we asked nicely and let them know nicely we were not interested.

I spoke with a [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] and told them all the same exact thing Our office doesn't need to pay for patient referrals, which is an entire ethical issue it itself.Desired Settlement: I want to be placed on a DO NOT CALL list and DO NOT EMAIL list.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,At ZocDoc, we always strive to provide our patients and doctors with a great experience. Our team has been notified and we have removed this practice from the list that our team will call in the future. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do. All the best,Team ZocDoc

I am a customer of ZocDoc and have had a less than favorable experience. They sell a very good speech on the phone to entice you to purchase their services; however, after you pay they all but forget you. I have called repeatedly with no help. Each time I call a person says that the person attached to my account will call me back. They don't. I have asked to discontinue my service and have asked for a refund. The stated that no refund would be given. I am writing this with hopes that they will understand it is not ok to falsely advertise services and then when money is collected completely forget about the customer.

Review: I signed up with Zocdoc in Mid- November 2015 based on the information the representative (who apparently has left the company) had given to me verbally. The representative mislead and coerced me to sign the contract promising 100’s of new patients annually from the Zocdoc site, as well as a huge improvement in search engine optimization and my online reputation management. It’s been more than three months since I have signed up and paid a yearly contract of $ 3000.00 (which they insisted to be paid upfront and refused to do a monthly contract with me.) I have not received even one new patient appointment from this site since I started the contract with them more than 100 days ago. I did contact them after a month and expressed my concern but was told that I should give it at least another month for this to work. I had contacted them after the 2nd month and was told to wait again, After the 3rd months, I contacted them again and complained and they are telling me I have to wait until the end of the year and I was told that even by the end of the year, there is not guarantees of anything . Had the sale representative told me what they are telling me now (wait for a year and still there is no guarantee that a patient would make an appointment from zocdoc) I would not have signed this contract and paid $3000.00 to them. I have called and requested to get a refund but they have refused to do so .I just want to clarify that I do not necessarily blame the sales person who enticed me to buy into this contract as he was just an individual who had to follow the policies of his company. As a matter of fact, I was approached on numerous times before this by other sale persons from zocdoc and all gave me the same promises.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a full refund.

Review: On July **, 2014, my [redacted] received a call from [redacted] who identified herself as a [redacted]'s [redacted]. I returned her call a couple of days afterward. The reason for her call was to discuss with me the referrals of [redacted] consultations. She made an appointment for their representative, [redacted]., in my office for further discussion. On meeting [redacted] in person, he stated that ZocDoc would provide referral patients from a roster of large corporations with well-insured patients. We agreed to a one month trial period, after which we would meet/call again to decide if it was worthwhile pursuing it for an additional period of time. He declined a check as payment for the trial period, insisting that he could only accept a credit card for a charge of $300, which I signed. He did not give me a copy, nor was I informed that I was signing a contract. He showed me the number of private referrals that each [redacted] on their roster had seen over months and years. Several days elapsed until ZocDoc contacted me to arrange a session for photographs of myself, my staff and my office facilities. These photos were taken in my office on August *, 2014. After about one week, my picture appeared on their website.

After contacting the [redacted] in whose name the original phone call was made, I decided not to continue the service. On August **, ZocDoc billed my credit card another $300, without contacting me to see if I wanted to continue the service. On September *, I requested a cancellation. They then informed me that, in fact, I had signed a contract authorizing that charge. This was not my agreement with [redacted] After further discussions with [redacted] early that day, [redacted] declined to cancel the charge or to escalate my call to her superiors, claiming there was no further recourse. It took further e-mail and phone conversation with [redacted] for her to remove my name from their web listing that evening.Desired Settlement: 1. $600, the charges against my credit card

2. refrain form using my credit card/bank for any other charges

3. refrain from using my name
