In regards to complaint ID #[redacted] Homes’ response is as follows:
Ms. [redacted] raised the issue of the tile dye lot prior to her purchasing the home.  [redacted] had the tile supplier representative inspect the tile.  It was determined that...

the tile was the correct tile ordered by Ms. [redacted] and that the variation in color between the tiles met industry standards.  [redacted] communicated to Ms. [redacted], prior to her purchase of the home, that the tile would not be replaced.  Ms. [redacted] elected to continue with her purchase. The home Ms. [redacted] purchased is modeled in the community where she purchased.  The placement of the electrical outlets in Ms. [redacted]'s home meet industry and building code standards.  Ms. [redacted] made several requests through the [redacted] warranty process to have the electrical outlets moved.  Since the electrical outlets meet industry and building codes, this warranty request was denied. [redacted] Homes considers this matter resolved.

We did not have a pre-construction meeting, nor a pre-drywall meeting. It was after drywall was in that Rich wanted to meet with us, and during that meeting he stated "I didn't even know you guys were supposed to be in already with the mix-up in paperwork that we had". This meeting occurred after we had to chase him down because he thought "the meeting was canceled" and he was close to 45 minutes late to get to our house. We closed on August 31, 2016 our we were told our next door neighbor was closing the same day. Less than a week later our neighbor had his seed bed installed in the back and side yards. We asked several times when our seed bed was going to be installed. As we drove around we noticed that 2 houses that were started after our and had the seed bed installed. When we went up the chain to try and get an answer we got nothing. our neighbor had already had to mow his back yard before our seed bed was put in. As you can see it has been a very unpleasant ordeal even up until this point. At this point I feel that we should have our entire sod on the entire lot since we get to look next door and our neighbor has an entire backyard full of grass.

Unfortunately, the complainant is asking for a result to which they are not legally entitled and are using this process in a wrongful manner.

CalAtlantic Homes met with the customer and determined that his window leak was caused by a poor caulking job that he had done previously.  As an...

accommodation for the customer, CalAtlantic Homes arranged to have its mason come to the customer's home to brick over the louver vent above the window that leaked in order to alleviate potential issues involving future severe weather events.  CalAtlantic Homes did not agree to make any other accommodations for the customer, and the damage caused by the previous window leak is the customer's responsibility.  CalAtlantic Homes considers this matter to be closed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear I do not agree that the rendering for my house showed "colorful tile" around the archway. Attached is the photo of the Spanish elevation for my model home taken directly from Standard Pacifics website. Please point out to me where the colorful tile around the archway is? My house is even the same color as the house in the rendering.
Regarding the other issues, saying that they have been passed on to someone else to handle and are therefore resolved is not a satisfactory response. After more than 4 months of raising this issue and not getting any resolution this shouldn't be closed out until it is actually resolved.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Supervisor is providing incorrect information to corporate. This complaint was filed after my multiple attempts with business to resolve the issues I have included in this complaint. Issues reported in this complaint are still pending as of 05-Nov-2015. Even after this complaint I have been regularly trying to reach business to resolve the issues but no action taken. I have also sent a written letter with inspection report from a licensed inspector. Once again, following warranty issues have still not been resolved by business and business is outright lying. As of 05-Nov-2015 all the following items are still pending and there is no communication from business. All these are accepted warranty items.
1. Broken crown moldings. A guy came to fix and he completely broke that instead of fixing. This complaint is after we have tried multiple times to contact the business to get it fixed.2. Automatic garage close hinge in garage door. Supervisor said he will come to take a look but he never showed up.3. Dry Wall imperfections. Dry wall company did come to fix this issue before my complaint. This complaint is about the issue which still exists even after their attempt to fix. 4. In our first floor excessive floor pops still exists. The company came to fix the issue could not fixed it.We have already sent written mail to business to resolve all these issues. After 65 days if issues are not resolved or we do not receive a written response with reason what was done to fix the issue and why pending issues will not be fixed will result in legal action.I am also CCing this response to Mr. [redacted] who is the highest authority from this business in this area for his visibility. We have tried reaching out to him about our experience dealing with the Warranty Staff and all the unprofessional behavior they have been showing but have not received any response.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Worst customer service experience of my life. Once you sign the closing papers don't expect them to return phone calls or emails. We've been in our home for 8 months trying to get issues resolved that were reported before we even closed. I've escalated issues to the President and he won't even call me as I've asked. Nobody in this company cares about their customer - DO NOT BUY A HOME FROM STANDARD PACIFIC!!!! All our neighbors have experienced issues and have had the same experience with their customer service. Hands down the worst company I've ever dealt with. REPEAT - DO NOT BUY A STANDARD PACIFIC HOME.

My husband and I selected Standard Pacific to build our new home over several other builders, BIG MISTAKE! The closing of our home was postponed over 1 month due to "missing cabinets." We eventually closed on our home with cabinets missing, another mistake. Once Standard Pacific got our money, despite assuring us cabinets would arrive soon and missing/bad craftsmanship would be fixed, no one would return our calls. We closed over 5 months ago and still do not have the cabinets that were promised. Additionally, we have various issues with our UPGRADED hardwood floors that we upgraded further by adding them to our office, powder bath and living room (to cover the entire main floor). One of the main issues are 2 areas approximately 4 feet in diameter which are significantly raised (inspector stated this was a structural issue). We brought this up prior to closing and were assured this would be handled by our 30 day walk. Standard Pacific, after 5 months of sending various people to take pictures and write reports has DENIED our claim for floor replacement!! DO NOT BUILD WITH STANDARD PACIFIC!!! Everything is promised by the 30 day walk and we still have missing cabinets, missing shower caddy's, torch marks on our granite where a technician attempted to remove a blue stain, and hardwood floor that is performing extremely poorly. Our neighbors have all had a very similar experiences with Standard Pacific and all feel that it is a full-time job staying on the Customer Care representative to resolve issues. This person comes up with every excuse in the book for why things haven't been done instead of just fixing them! If you are already building with Standard Pacific?? Whatever you do, DO NOT close with any unresolved issues, they absolutely ignore you once they receive your money!!!!! Our first time building a home and Standard Pacific has turned into a complete nightmare for us! Not sure how they have an A+ rating??? How sad...
