Be careful of deceptive practices Order and no cancellation options Partnering with rewards type programs with hotel and airline chains to award points which you have to call and remind them numerous times to get the points High prices after initial intro offer on average at best wines with extremely difficult cancellation policiesReward programs bury the fact that the points are no eligible for prior customers

This member specifically agreed to a half refund for the second shipment per the notes in his account from our customer service rep (image is attached)We do not refund shipments for unsatisfied wines, we do however, send replacements to the member's at absolutely no costPlease see the attached
image of the member's notes and of our terms and conditions on our website which states the member is eligible for a replacement shipment

Great wine clubAt least for the first daysAfter that I realized they were just after my moneyFirst I got my introductory shipment with a free giftDecent selection at a good introductory pricemy free gift was a corkscrew stand which actually came in brokenVery nice looking but was pretty big and took up space so I didn't bother to call and request a new oneI was somewhat pleased so I referred them a new customer so he'd give it a tryI got the membership as gift to himA couple days later I called to removed my card on file under his accountA couple days after that I got charged for a shipment that was still processing in that same accountI called to cancel and they said it would be cancelled and I would expect a refund within hoursdays passed and I called again because I had not received my refund yetSo it turns out they lied about the order being cancelled and the shipment was already en routeMeanwhile I didn't get a tracking number until days laterThen they said when I did finally get my refund they would be deducting shipping costs as well as a 15% restocking feeWhat a jokeWSJ wines is more expensive but I've been a happy customer since Never again will I consider Vinesse for any wine purchase

The bottles were not "opened" they were corked due to freezingWhen the bottles freeze it causes the corks to push out through the foilWhen shipments and orders are damaged we offer replacements at no cost, we do not offer credits for these issues as they are out of our controlI have offered a one time credit for this issuePlease allow 5-business days to see the credit post to your bank accountPlease see attached documents

The member enrolled in our promotional offer on 8/23/ On 8/29/the member called to cancel and we explained our terms, that you must be active for days in order to receive the promotional miles Based on this information, the member decided to remain active, we lowered their
bottle count, as well as delaying their next shipment to ship at the end of September The member has only received one shipment upon activation This membership has not been cancelled, based on the decision of the member on 8/29/16.Please see attached copies of our terms and conditions that explain the day policy, the transaction history that shows only one shipment, and the customer notes from our system documenting conversationsIf the member would like, we can cancel the membership at this time and honor the first miles only The second set of miles is honored with the second shipment, which would not ship if the member chooses to cancel

J*** *** I did not give Vinesse Wines permission to take/steal money from my checking account for any future statements. I cannot read on the web the forms that they sentWhere is it stating that I explicitly gave permission to have Vinesse take money from my checking account. I send a check to my utilities company every month and they have never taken money from my account
without my permission. I have not received a refund as was stated in the response. I want all of the money that Vinesse STOLE from my account: $370.00. I want responses via USPS and not the internet since that is the way I was solicited. I want a legible copy of the contract Venesse said that I signed sent to me via USPS. This is a company that would have continued to ship wines to my address and continue to steal money from my checking account without my express permission forever. This could have continued forever with no notification to the customer that a shipment was ready for shipment. I have ordered from other Wine companies and was always alerted that a shipment was about to be sent so I could decline or accept the shipment. Vinesse never did that and just sent wine to my address every month though the shipments were never received. They stole money from my checking account without my permissionThey stated that full refund was paid on 9/19/and that is a LIE. I have no evidence that that was done. I want $370.00. I sent a ONE-Time check for $for a trial shipment of wine. I did not give this company permission to take money from my account. I was sent shipments of wine which was never accepted. I was never at home and had no prior notification that a shipment was being sent. Vinesse has my money and their wine and I have been screwed. How is that legal and/or right?

I am rejecting this response because I never received a new member emailIn fact, the only emails I have from Vinesse are responses to my request to cancelI received no communication from Vinesse regarding shipments or charges. The explanation about shipping generally makes sense and it is nice that they take care of their product before it gets to UPSHowever, I don't understand how "monthly shipments" can be spaced two weeks apartHowever, the ad I responded to says "Our wine experts search hidden, tucked-away vineyards to ensure you'll receive the most compelling 6-bottle selections, each month at just $12-$per bottle (plus delivery)." EACH MONTHThe time between shipments was not a monthThey sent a bunch of poor quality wine, and within a day or two of it arriving they had already started shipping another shipment of low cost over-priced productAlso, the ad says "Satisfaction Guaranteed Our policy is simpleIf you don't enjoy a wine you receive from us for any reason, call us within days and we'll replace itYou can cancel with no hassles at any time."
Not satisfied with the wine and canceling was a hassleThey have not offered to replace the wine and they have not offered a method for me to return the product

- Would like a replacement for the wines I did not like (which was pretty much all of the ones I received)Please note that it is not just my taste, look at reviews on Yelp and other sitesIt seems like this company focus in subpar products therefore I doubt there will be any of them which are actually worth the cost- Cancellation of my account without any questions asked and no pushy retention programs

Our introductory offer enables you to join our club at a lower introductory rate for the first shipment We regret that you did
not understand that you joined a clubThe form does state that there is no obligation and you may cancel at any time, however it does not specifically state that it "is not an enrollment to a club" I have included a copy of the form you signed, please note under your signature it states: "IMPORTANT YOUR FUTURE SHIPMENTS: I understand that each month I will automatically receive another American Cellars shipment...." The reason the authorization on your credit card came just a couple weeks after your first delivery is because we send our first shipments to our customer immediately upon receipt of the initial order, then you fall in to our regular monthly shipments The reason we did not have a tracking number on Oct17th is because our shipments leave our warehouse on temperature controlled trucks to preserve the wines quality Once it is passed over to the carrier that delivers to your home, it receives its tracking number We do have this number now and we are doing our best to stop this shipment from being deliveredI've also attached a copy of our credit and return policy, a copy of the transactions showing that your shipment processed on Oct10, a copy of the notes from your account, indicating we have cancelled your membership on Oct14thDue to the misunderstanding of joining our club, we will issue you a full refund of $ Please allow to business days for the refund amount to reflect on your account Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because: I'm still getting mailings and I'm still able to logon to the account that is "deactivated". The only thing different in the account from when I first joined is that I'm not in a club now. I have no problem with you keeping records but, I don't want to have a website account

The promotion that the customer signed up for was the American Cellars Wine Club, in association with Delta Sky Miles The introductory shipment was for $41.95, with the following shipments at our regular club price
With regards to miles, the account needed to remain active
for at least days to earn miles The member joined on 8/30/and cancelled on 9/15/2016, which would not qualify for receiving the miles I have attached our terms and conditions, which were included in the offer, that explains these details I have also attached the member notes on the account that shows the date activated and date cancelledWith regards the credit, I see the return was received in our warehouse on 9/27/2016, so I have issued the full credit for this return of $ Please note it may take to business days for this refund to reflect on your statementWe apologize for the misunderstand of this club offer and promotion
