$300 Data Recovery

This company is AMAZING! Stop looking for other companies now and go with $300 Data Recovery! I had a 1TB Western Digital My Passport Ultra external hard drive that was dropped. I am a young filmmaker and I am starting out my business and I had two of my client's unfinished wedding videos on the hard drive with all of the footage, along with other important footage. I knew that this would ruin my reputation and trust and I was scared to death. Panicking, I searched tons of data recovery companies that turned out to be just too expensive. I ended up giving my drive to Data [redacted] which said that they may be able to fix it and they quoted me $1,000 to do so!

Then I found $300 Data Recovery, but I thought that it was too good to be true. So I checked their website and they had a super easy rate calculator. It showed me the estimated price which was around $500. So I sent my hard drive to Los Angeles, CA. $300 Data Recovery kept me updated with every single thing that they did which was a huge plus! After they worked on it, they said they got 99.9-100% of the data recovered! I still can't believe that I saved $500 and that they were able to recover the wedding footage while being very communicative and fast to respond!

This company does what they claim to do and I'm super happy! I would recommend this company to anyone that is in a situation like I am and can't afford to pay thousands of dollars.

Used them for a drive. Communication was great all the way through. Emailed every step of the way with the status. Every option was given to me. I chose to have them get a donor drive for a head swap. The total was under $400 with the donor drive. Almost everything was recovered. Pictures, video, music, docs, and the file structure and file names were complete. I cannot recommend this company any higher. Thank you VERY much. These guys are AWESOME!!! I originally took my hard drive to a local shop, who said that they couldn't do it. Then they referred me to a shop in Atlanta, GA, who quoted me over $1,000. I found these guys in a reddit post (of all places) and I cannot say how pleased I am! They recovered everything. EVERYTHING! It was amazing. And they only charged me $400 (I had a 3GB drive). Never having needed these services before, it quickly became apparent the industry is chock full of sharks looking to take full advantage of your misfortune and bleed you for every last dollar rather than run an honest business happy to provide a desperately needed service at a humane price.

I was just about to ship off my drive to what I'm now convinced is one of those many shark tanks. So glad I decided to make one more pass at researching for a (local) company that seemed trustworthy.

I had a failed 4TB drive, starting numbers for my drive at almost every other place I checked were already over 1500 dollars (and impossible to get a firm final quote while I was simultaneously reading many very credible horror stories of people in similar boats shelling out 3-4k).

300DDR gave me a flat rate - 300 plus a FIXED 100 extra for the large drive size. They also have an online tool which takes all your details and calculates your "chances" of recovery - including how many of your exact drive they've worked on in the past. The entire process was very open, helpful, transparent and HONEST.

Got good news within 3 business days and picked up my new replacement drive with all of my data recovered the next. Total bill 400 for recovery and 125 for the new drive to transfer the recovered data on.

Couldn't be happier or more relieved. I will recommend this place to anyone who finds him/herself in this nasty predicament.

When you go to their website they provide a a questionnaire that gives them enough information to determine if they can help you. I got an email back from Brian promptly telling me the chances on recovering data, which in my case, was not good. I then went on to ask him more questions which he promptly answered and told me that in my case, with my symptoms the 3 drives they tried to fix were unrecoverable. I then mentioned my own tech experience and that I'd try a do-it-yourself as the chances were slim in buying a refurb drive and tool and he advised me to inspect the drive first and if there were any defects on the surface, to skip trying to do anything further with this drive. Bottom line - rarely do you get this kind of honesty or help for a client not spending money. I do it myself on my own projects with my own clients, but most want to keep the process and technical help to themselves. This firm is about doing a good job and giving you value for service and not out just to get you in the door to start running up fees. I highly recommend them to anyone based on my email conversations and will keep them as a reference should I need any service on any drive in the future.

This company provided a great service and I cannot say enough great things about them! They kept my update to date every step of the way in recovering my date from a crashed hard drive (black screen of death). I contacted another recovery service that went straight to a hard sell tactic, explaining how difficult this recovery would be justifying a $1,650 charge, not including shipping,. handling, and storage media. They are the real deal! total pros!!! I stopped making music almost 4 years ago because my external hard drive failed with all of my protools sessions, songs, productions, music software apps, etc of years! with no back up! (hope I learned my lesson) At the time I wasn't aware of $300data recovery or maybe they didn't exist yet and everywhere I called they wanted at least $1000 and upwards, not an amount a regular Joe like me could afford at the time or even today!

Anyways I didn't waste much time and decided to buy a drive to transfer my files if they could be recovered, flew to Burbank last Monday to drop the drives and flew back home. The next day I get an email saying they were able to recover 99.9999999% of the files! I could not believe it!. Yesterday a week later I flew back to Burbank to pick up my drives and flew back home. I am a very happy camper now ready to get back into the game of making music without having to start from scratch all over again! (no pun intended lol!) I can't say enough how satisfied I am with $300 Data Recovery. They are easy to find, great communicators, fast efficient service, low cost and refreshingly honest.

Like others, I was skeptical that anyone could offer a low cost data recovery solution. I saved over $1,000!!! The cherry on top was when they refunded me $100 for a service I did not need. I would not have know whether this was needed or not so they could have kept the money, but they refunded me. This is not the way the most of the world works right now, truly amazing!

They were able to recovery over 83% of my drive and offered a service where they could try and recover 99% and gave me the option to decide on this service.

The drive was quickly returned to me, well packaged and with great communication.

$300 Data Recovery is the real deal. I was skeptical when I looked at what others charge to try to retrieve data. My wife did not want me to send our hard drive with all of our personal information off in the mail to who knows where, even though the drive was worthless to us.

Each day that passed we thought of another file that would be hard to reproduce. I am an attorney. My previous firm had an IT guru that I contacted to ask what he thought. He was nice enough to do a little research and concluded that $300 Data Recovery seemed to have a reliably good reputation. So I signed up.

The initial contact was to simply answer a few questions on the web site, enter my name and address and send it off. I was a little perplexed because I could not tell for sure if my information was sent. I called, and sure enough the lady had my name. All I had to do was print my name and "Bad Drive" on the hard drive, wrap it in lots of bubble wrap, and send it. I mailed it in a USPS box from Iowa on a Friday. I received an email on Monday that it had been received. They advertise that it takes a few days to get the project done.

That was very conservative. I received an update on Tuesday, and it was Wednesday when they reported that they had recovered 99.99% of the files. They sent me a link to a list of the files that were recovered. It was such a good feeling to see all of my old familiar file names. I okayed it, and they moved the files to the new drive.

On Thursday, they sent instructions for payment. I paid when I got home from work, and my old drive and new external drive were picked up by USPS on Friday. They arrived in my hands on Monday or Tuesday of the next week, no more than 11 days after I had sent it off.

The charges were exactly as promised, $300 for the recovery, $75 for a new external hard drive, and about $16 for postage each way. That is a fraction of what I had heard others charge.

Prior to retirement from the IT business, I dealt with a number of recovery companies that charged huge fees and were sometimes misleading and/or noncommittal about what level of service they could provide for the fees involved. $300 Data Recovery was up front and clear about what was involved, what the chances of success were, and what the costs would be. Fortunately, in my case they were able to make a full recovery of the files, but even had the result had been that the drive was completely trashed, I would have felt that they dealt with me fairly and honestly, and that the fee was worth the work they did. My hard drive failed when the desktop computer tower was knocked over while it was writing data. Of course, there were documents and such that had not backed up and I really wanted them back.
