Based on the information provided, Hamilton Beach has no record of this incidentIf the consumer is willing to provide her complete last name, we will be able to review her file and provide a response

Unfortunately, we do not have a copy of the UPS shipping labelWe do however, have the tracking number associated with the label The label was mailed by Monday, April 4th.UPS tracking #: [redacted]

A refund has been issued and will show in consumer's account within the next hours

Does consumer still have the unit? If so, we will send the consumer a prepaid shipping label to return the unit at no chargeWe will then send the consumer a replacement unit, again at no chargePlease let me know if this is acceptable

Consumer emailed HBB on stating the following: when I bought this yesterday at best buy they said to call you number im missing the mesh coffee fliter basket for the craft side and the travel mugSo I've been calling and calling but you refuse to return calls.Maybe a manager should know someone might be SLEEPING and that I left messages four times and the wait list was lees than minutes BUT NEVER CALLED BACK.Note that there is no mention of an odorHBB responded with an explanation of the coffeemaker's parts on If consumer agrees to return his unit and provide a receipt of purchase, we will issue a refund

HBB sent a prepaid shipping label to consumer for return of their productTo date, we have not received the unitOnce we receive the unit, we will issue a refund

Per the warranty stated in the use and care manual that accompanied the rice cooker, consumer is responsible for all costs of returning the unit We see no reason to change our policy at this time
