A refund has been issued and will show in consumer's account within the next 72 hours.

HBB will send the consumer a shipping label so he can return the unit free of charge. We will then be able to examine the unit and better address his concerns.

Consumer emailed HBB on 12.16.15 stating the following: when I bought this yesterday at best buy they said to call you 800 number im missing the mesh coffee fliter basket for the craft side and the travel mugSo I've been calling and calling but you refuse to return calls.Maybe a manager should...

know someone might be SLEEPING and that I left messages four times and the wait list was lees than 15 minutes BUT NEVER CALLED BACK.Note that there is no mention of an odor. HBB responded with an explanation of the coffeemaker's parts on 12.17.15. If consumer agrees to return his unit and provide a receipt of purchase, we will issue a refund.

HBB apologizes for the delay. HBB emailed consumer this morning and advised we are processing a replacement. We asked that consumer cut the cord of her unit and dispose of the appliance.

I do not recall being offered a 50% refund on my oven. Since the oven retailed for $99, I would accept $49.50 in the form of a check sent to my address on this complaint.

I do not still have the the receipt. I honestly didn't expect the product to deteriorate as fast as it did. I will just consider this a lesson learned. The product is, in my opinion, very cheaply made. Originally I stated that I wanted a replacement. I no longer want a replacement after reading online reviews and complaints. Does consumer still have the unit? If so, we will send the consumer a prepaid shipping label to return the unit at no charge. We will then send the consumer a replacement unit, again at no charge. Please let me know if this is acceptable.

Hamilton Beach has not received confirmation that the cord was cut. Does consumer have record of sending this plug or sending us a photo? If so, please share. Thank you.

[As I expressed, I no longer have access to the credit card used to purchase the microwave as I am going through a divorce and the account was closed by order of the court. The store cannot give me a receipt as I do not have the credit card for them to trace the purchase.  I think it is unfair that I cannot use my warranty simply because I cannot get a receipt.  If I could get a receipt I most certainly would as I have had trouble with this microwave almost from the beginning.] I would be happy if they would just exchange the broken microwave.

Unfortunately, Hamilton Beach has no record of the consumer attempting to contact us until today, when we received an email. We will respond to this email noting we will send a prepaid shipping label so consumer can return his product. We will also process  a replacement unit.

Thank you for the photo of the cut cord. HBB will send a replacement mixer.

HBB spoke with consumer 3.18.16. A shipping label is being sent to the consumer to return the unit. There will be no charge for the return of unit.

The feature described by consumer is an optional feature. HBB asked if consumer was willing to purchase another.  She declined and will return to store.

The photo was sent  but the company still didn't accept it. The cord is cut laying on top.This is an attempt to not send the new product. I don't understand what the problem is. I have been emailing customer service for weeks, every time it's something different.
