Accessory Outlet Reviews (106)

Review: I purchase what was listed on their website as an iPhone 5/5s Lifeproof nuud case. When I finally received the case after 19 days waiting for it. When I had paid for express shipping. I took it out of envelope and then noticed it was in just a clear cellophane sleeve. Then I noticed a big difference in the case to the lifeproof nuud case what I was expecting. The fact that the case had a home button cover button. For the nuud case for the iPhone 5s that should have been opened up so that I could have access to the touchId. However even with this issue I was going to trying using device with case. But I have been unable to accomplish this task due to the case causing a great disruption to my call quality. I have attempted to make contact 3 times with no response. First due to the extended time for me to receive product. Then 2 times since due to product issues because I feel the product is a knockoff.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the case and shipping due to the issues I have had with with delay in service and also with the product being questionable. I am willing to send the product back to them. I will not be using it.

Sincerely,

Review: 7/**/14: Order was Placed with [redacted] for an iPhone 5C Lifeproof FRE Case. On 8/*/14 we received the order, and it was a cheap knock-off case.

The pictures and descriptions of the Lifeproof case that we ordered clearly show the Lifeproof logo on the case. Additionally, we ordered [redacted] iPhone brand 6ft. USB charge cables, and received cheap knock-off cables.

Pictures and the description on the website clearly show [redacted] brand parts and logos, with the description saying their product is [redacted], but beware of other site's "cheap aftermarket cables."

The site shows Revdex.com and [redacted] logos and certifications.

That is False Advertising and Fraud.Desired Settlement: This site needs to refund my money, and remove all of these trademarked logos, false claims and false brands that they are not actually selling/shipping.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a lifeproof case for my iPhone 4s. It claimed to be waterproof, meet military standards, etc....it is clearly a fake cheap product. It is in no way waterproof, or meet any military standards as a real lifeproof case does. It is stamped lifeproof on the back, but is plain plastic.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed fully for the $35.99 I paid for this product.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered 2 iphone 4 cases from this company the end May of this year. The website states it takes maximum 3-5 days to process and ship the product, the product was not shipped for over 8 business days. the products were not received until after the [redacted] of june, I was on vacation. My husband opened the package and told me the products were incorrect. I tried email the company with no response. when I got home on the [redacted] I emailed the company again, no response. I found a phone number online and left a message. A few days went by still no response. I have either called or emailed daily for the last few days, no response. I found the company on [redacted] and also messaged them. No response. The products were not only the incorrect product but then were just thrown in an envelope, not in their package or anything. One product was for an iphone 4 lifeproof case in blue and the other was a I phone 4 black otter box. both were supposed to be new products. I received one black and one blue iphone I lifeproof or a fake lifeproof, since there were no stickers or packaging.Desired Settlement: with all these problems I have been having contacting the company I would like a full refund. I will never do business with them or recommend them.

Thank you so much for all your help. I finally received my products today. After numerous emails, contacting the post office in New Jersey & Atlanta. I honestly don't think if I was not proactive in this situation I would have not received my products at all. It was not until I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com that True Accessory answered my emails.

I also wanted to let you know that they have threatened me with a lawsuit of $250.00 for filing a claim with the Revdex.com. They said that they are going send my information to numerous collection agencies. Not sure if this is legal, but wanted to you all know.

Thanks Again For All Your Help

Sincerely,

Review: I ORDERED 2 LIFEPROOF CASES FROM THIS COMPANY STATING THEY WERE LIFEPROOF CASES. ONCE RECEIVED THEY ARE NOT ACTUALLY REAL LIFEPROOF CASES AND THEY ARE JUST CHEAP CASES. I AM EXTREMELY UPSET AND AGGRAVATED BY THIS. I PAID A TOTAL OF $107.97 AND DIDN'T GET WHAT I SHOULD HAVE GOTTENDesired Settlement: FULL REFUND AND FOR THEM TO BE STOPPED FROM WHAT THEY ARE DOING

Review: On 10-*-14, I placed an order #2214 for lifeproof cases- these did not fit phones and I asked for replacement. They would not comply, charged me restocking fee and said I would have to take credit-- after being charged substantial shipping fee. I returned items on 10-**-14. To use my credit up with these people, on 12-**-14, I ordered again and was charged another shipping fee, this time $12.99. Order # [redacted]. I Have e- mailed, tried to contact numerous times and to date this order has not been sent. The tracking # shows shipping label created 12-** 11:47 am. This has not changed. Track # [redacted]. I feel I have complied and done all on this order that I can to get my merchandise. We were just trying to recoup the monies of ours they had and will NEVER use this outfit again. This involves not only delivery issues but refund exchange, and very poor customer service issues. Requesting your assistance in at least getting my order. Thank you.Desired Settlement: items ordered or complete refund. Will send copies of e mails, orders if needed.

Review: I purchase what I thought was a genuine Lifeproof case for my IPhone 5s for 39.94 from the accessory outlet. After weeks still not even at the pist office. I sent an email asking to just cancel given I needed a case asap and it did not look like I was getting it anytime soon. They said I could not cancel and cited this terms of agreement, anyway Itold them I would contact my credit card company this is the email I got back:

"This is what will happen if you contact your card, we will send your account to a collections agency for $250 for breaching the terms of sale agreement. This will put a negative mark on your credit for 7 years and will also result in calls to your home and/or work. This is stated in the terms of sale agreement which can be found under TERMS on or website. Further, additional fees for any correspondence with your card issuer will also be billed to you on an hourly basis and a flat rate $50 fee for the dispute or claim. We suggest you wait for delivery and email us after if you need any help. Thank you." I said I had every right as a consumer, then they sent this :"

You have no right to do anything aside from use binding arbitration due to the arbitration clause. We are not threatening you, we are directing your attention to the legally binding terms of sale and your personal liability for any breach or non compliance. We suggest you read the agreement in full or have a competent individual read it and explain the terms to you in full. Your order was sent and will arrive as stated. Even if it is delayed or has any other problem or issue the terms or sale agreement still applies and is made and enforceable for exactly that, in case there is any problem or dispute with any order. See TERMS for more information. As of now your personal information is going to be sent to multiple collections agencies for damages as stated in our terms of sale contract. This will put a negative mark on your credit for 7 years and lower your score significantly. Calls to collect the additional fees will continuously be made to your home, cell, and/or work phones." And this: "

"Contact your lawyer, spend more time and money if you wish. You will be billed and the amount we will bill you for will continue to rise with every email and every second we dedicate to correspondence of any kind pertaining to your breach of the terms of sale. Thank you."

"It doesn't matter whether you receive the merchandise or not with regard to the separate breach of contract action which is done by collections agency. It is years we have these measures in place and it works without any issue every time for any breach of the contract just as you are doing so we have no issues with initiating the action, trust me. Thank you."

As you can see many threats and here is the final one after I asked them to do not email anymore this came 5 minutes later: July **, 2014 at 10:55: "Here are the terms of sale:

Terms of Sale

I recieved the case yesterday, no origial box, no instructions nor id number in case like lifeproof is suppose to have. It is cheap plastic, does not shut all the way. Contacted them but based on the wording of webpage had I saw before I bought :( anyway I am certain they will not replace (don't want it! Want money back) anyway hope this is detail enough for you.Desired Settlement: Refund my 39.94 product is fake, advertised as though was genuine case for 5s made out of cheap plastic. Need to prosecute and shut this business down. Internet bullies!

Review: The company advertised a genuine LifeProof Fre Case for an iPhone 5C which I ordered. The order was not only sent very late but I was sent a generic product with no packaging that in no way resembles the product I thought I was purchasing. The seller sold me an product under false pretenses and falsely advertised the brand and then supplied a generic counterfeit product.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded and for the seller to pay for the return shipping.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a Lifeproof Fre for my iPhone 5C. When I received the merchandise, it was not in any packaging, merely the outer yellow envelope. There is nothing stating that it is from Lifeproof, no instructions, no warranty or paperwork of any kind including a packing slip. I attempted to resolve this by contacting them via their website. It was stated that I would resolve a response within 48 hours. It will be two weeks tomorrow and I have heard nothing. I asked that the situation be rectified with a replacement or return of the merchandise for a full refund including shipping costs.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the total purchase price and shipping costs. This would be $55.98. If this does not occur, I will have to contact my bank for a proper credit.

Sincerely,

Review: I just noticed an article about this company at The Consumerist - [redacted] - you, the Revdex.com, should firstly look into their hilariously-illegal "terms" as noted in that article.

I was just curious to see if a company could be so stupid as to actually post such things on their website, so I went to look - sure enough, they're there. But I'm filing this complaint to let you know that the company is fraudulently displaying the Revdex.com logo with an "A+" rating on their website. I came to the Revdex.com website to see if they actually did have an A+ rating - just now I see that you have them listing with an F rating, and they are not a Revdex.com accredited business. So, they are making an unrealistic/unsubstantiated claim that they are a Revdex.com Accredited Business with an A+ rating.

They're frauds.Desired Settlement: I'd suggest that they change their terms to something less illegal to start with. And they also need to not fraudulently present themselves as being a Revdex.com Accredited Business with an A+ rating. But that's probably just for starters...I would wager that if someone looked into the company further they'd probably find more fraud. My desired outcome is for the company to either shape up, or go out of business.

Review: This company seems to be operating under a new URL ([redacted]), however the complaints against [redacted] seem to be the old URL they used.

I ordered a new Lifeproof Iphone 5 case from Accessory Outlet, because I broke my Lifeproof case. When I got the item in the mail, it was not in retail packaging. Because I have owned a few Lifeproof cases for my Iphone, I knew right away that this one was FAKE. The case is extremely flimsy and would never hold up against water, which is what the real lifeproof case is known for. Not only are they selling FAKE products, they are BAD fakes. The case broke right away. I have tried to reach out to the company, but there is no phone number and they do not respond to the emailed complaints. I would like to return the item for a refund. They do not seem to accept returned items, however the product they sell on their site is listed as a LIFEPROOF Iphone case. [redacted] The information below is what appears on my credit card for the merchants address and phone number.

###-###-####Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the $40.94. I would also hope to see them shut down because they are misrepresenting items. I am sure everything they sell on their site are counterfeit items and are worth pennies.

Thank you for your help.

Review: On [redacted]Mar 14, I purchased two Spigen "Tough Armor" Cases for iPhone 4/4S from trueaccessory.com. The total came to $30.69. The cases have the Spigen name and symbol on them. Upon receiving them, they appeared somewhat cheap and not solid like authentic Spigen products. I've since contacted the Spigen company and they have stated they do NOT make "Tough Armor" cases for iPhone 4/4s. They do make them for iPhone 5. They also went as far as to tell me they are in fact counterfeit. I've attempted to contact the company via email and via the company contact form a total of four times and have not received a response. I simply want a full refund.Desired Settlement: I'd like a full refund.

Sincerely,

Review: I searched online last week on 7/**/14 for a LifeProof teal cell phone case for my stepdaughter's iPhone 4/4S cell phone. I came across one of the top websites that advertised discounted Guaranteed Warranteed LifeProof Cases. I looked at all the pictures and made sure it was legit. Then I ordered and paid to express ship her case for her 17th birthday. When I received it Saturday, July **, 2014, it was mailed (with $12 shipping fee) in a small, non-padded manila envelope. There was no receipt, directions, package cover, warranty... nothing but a case. It appears to be real until looking at it further. It is made very cheaply and wouldn't shut correctly, when I opened the top and bottom together, there was a small piece of the case that came out. It is definitely not the genuine case, even though the symbols and LifeProof name looks identical to Name Brand. So I wanted to send it back and did research on the website: [redacted]. It says for LifeProof Cases, there are no refunds or exchanges and if anything is damage, we have to go through the shipping company. they wont take any responsibility. I want my money back so I can go to our local store and just pay full price for the Genuine LifeProof case. Its $46.90 for what I got, so I requested they send me the money back immediately.

I just want the case I ordered for an important birthday gift NOW. I had receiving false advertisement and then refusing to exchange or refund after I see they are fraudulent. Please assist me with this issue asap.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Receive my full refund of $46.90, whether its a check mailed to my address: [redacted] or credit my Visa Debit Card back for the full amount. My order # [redacted]. I would also like their A+ Revdex.com rating to be dropped. They are obviously falsely advertising and refusing to give people their money back once they find out it is not genuine.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Accessory Outlet regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I am very upset. This was supposed to be a birthday present for my step daughter and now I have a broke case that was not an original and lost $47. I want them to make it right and reimburse me but also for them to have a phone number and email available to contact the company. They make it impossible to communicate. Obviously because they are falsely advertising and don't stand behind the product they sell. Along with the fact that it was packaged so poorly that it could easily break and had no original paperwork, warranty like Lifeproof has. It wasn't even in plastic. They definately don't deserve an AAA Revdex.com rating. This need to be resolved for me but also looked into further. Please contact me and let me know what steps are being taken to reprimand the business and get my money back. I'll be glad to send them the piece of crap case they sent me along w the broken piece.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered two Lifeproof I phone 4S cases on May **, 2014. This company debited my account the same day. After waiting 5 weeks for my cases I was sent two cases that were not Lifeproof they were knock off and bad ones at that. They did not fit the I phone 4s and when I contacted them via e mail and left message they did not respond to me. I would get an e mail that they would get back to me in 24 to 72 hours which they never did. You can not send anything back without and authorization number and when you call to get one they do not get back to you. This company I feel scammed me out of $69.78. They need to be stopped.Desired Settlement: I want me money back on my debit card.

Review: Ordered (2) BRAND NEW Apple iPad charging cables and both were defective. Tried contacting the company via their website form (the only way to contact them) and there was no response. Tried contacting them via replying to the order email, and didn't get a response. Tried one last time to contact them, and finally got a response saying I was out of the exchange time frame. (They hadn't responded to all my requests and now I'm out of the exchange time frame?) I complained to them about this. They respond by saying that my product isn't eligible for returns regardless of time frame. How can I purchase a NEW item from them and I can't return it if it is defective??? It's not refurbished. It's not a private person selling to me via Craigslist. This is an actual company with an actual online selling website!Desired Settlement: Because I needed to charge my iPad, I ordered cables from some other company while awaiting a response from True Accessory. I'm willing to return the defective merchandise and expect a full refund - especially since I tried contacting them the same day I received the package and discovered they were defective.

Review: Bought an IPhone 6 screen plastic protector for $35 and after a month of use it has bubbles. I brought it back to the kiosk and the manager was rude saying that the bubbles happened from using the phone and would not exchange it. I believe that it is from incorrect installation or poor product quality as it is too early for it to have these issues.Desired Settlement: As the manager was very unwilling to replace the defective piece, I would prefer a refund.

Review: Todays Date: 2014/07/** $135.19 billing dispute with [redacted] (AKA “[redacted]”). Items were delivered on 2014/07/**.

We have previously contacted the credit card company regarding this matter and they have put the above charge in dispute. Details of the need for this dispute are described below, this information is also being provided to the New York Revdex.com. The entire reason for this billing dispute is due to the three counterfeit iPhone 5S cases that were provided by the above named vendor “True Accessory”.

The supposed Lifeproof fre protective cases that we received for the iPhone 5S are counterfeit cases. Some of the problems we noted are listed below:

1. No Lifeproof fre box or packaging of any kind, no paper work, instructions or warranty was provided with the product. Our cases came in cellophane resealable baggies, one of the cases did not have the lint cloth packed with it, the other two cases did have lint clothes.

2. The counterfeit iPhone 5S cases we received were all a poor quality plastic (not at all like the authentic Lifeproof fre), without any of the rubberized internal or external cushioning bumpers that would normally be found inside and outside of an authentic Lifeproof fre case.

3. The “home” button was incorrect, the actual Lifeproof fre cases for the 5S phone have a very thin membrane over the “home” button which allows the finger print reader on the iPhone to work, so you can unlock your phone with your finger print.

4. There are no serial numbers anywhere on any of the three counterfeit cases that we received.

5. The plastic cases that we received are made of a more brittle and thinner, lower quality plastic material which is not at all like an authentic Lifeproof case. This means that the cases that we received are much less durable and will not protect our iPhone 5S phones as they would be required to do.

6. The buttons on the counterfeit cases do not function properly, some don’t work at all, some work if you push really hard and by this I mean hard enough that you are concerned that you will damage your iPhone.

Note that: True Accessory is NOT authorized to sell Lifeproof at all. Unfortunately we learned this after receiving our order and doing some additional research.

Of additional interest:

1. The website: [redacted] which is where we made our purchase from, is currently not functioning at all.

2. I have included another separate PDF file from this web site: [redacted] This particular link will show numerous complaints of customers of “True Accessory”. All of the complaints that you read are very similar to what our experience has been with this vendor.

[redacted]I COULD NOT UPLOAD THIS PDF FILE but the link above should get you there.[redacted]

If I can be of further assistance to you in investigating this dispute please feel free to contact me and let me know what you need.

The amount in dispute is approximate since I don't have all information to calculate taxes etc.Desired Settlement: Have True Accessory send me an RMA number and self addressed pre-paid return shipping label to return three counterfeit LifeProof fre iPhone 5S cases; then adjust my bill accordingly to settle this matter properly.

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by True Accessory regarding complaint ID [redacted]. (Since my contact with the Revdex.com I have not heard from True Accessory. I have just added a PDF of part of the True Accessory Facebook page where True Accessory implies that these mobile phone cases are genuine, new and sold with full warranty from LifeProof but this is not true at all as evidenced by what they sent to me.)
