This is the worst company around Very poor service fought with them for over weeks to transfer to new placeThey set appointments then never show upThis started April they finally showed up April to remove the system put it in a plastic bag handed it to me said I will be back at AM May to install at new houseFor the time it was a no show Finally showed up May and half *** installed itAs of today we still up able to use itI also found they charged my accountWhatever you do not use this worthless company unless you want all your stuff stolen due to ADT not being able to provide a good service of protecting you home and familyADT you are more then welcome to call me you have the number but you will not like the conversationI give the same respect you give to meSo you know that it going to be a crappy conversation to match your crappy company service

Requested shut-off 6/set for 6/with ***...did not happen
I called ADT on 6/and spoke with *** regarding discontinuing the service effective 6/as we are moving and do not need the service nor do we need it transferred He took notes, and stated I was all set for disconnection on 6/ As of 6/27, the system is still live I called and spoke with *** (useless parrot) and eventually an Avery who was dismissive and would not tell me why it was still active...nor did she confirm it would be shut off and when I repeatedly asked why is it still active and was met with disregard and non-answers I again stated (as I did on 6/with ***) that we needed the system disconnected by 6/as we are having our final City inspection on 6/to clear the house for final sale If we have active smoke alarms from ADT, they will make us update them to new versions and not pass our inspection If the system is disconnected, they do not factor this in their inspection As of to

Sold my home and ADT says I owe them for the entire contract and upon original signing dealer said if I sold it before end of contract they cancel it

I had been a long time ADT customer since December On 2/26/2016, I made a decision to cancel ADT serviceI called and spoke with Britney at ADT who canceled the serviceHowever, they had already charged my credit card for next month?s service (3/1/? 3/31/16)When I asked Britney when this will get credited, she said that it will take days for them to credit $to my card

I initiated a contract with ADT in at the address *** *** *** *** ** XXXXX At the time of contract initiation, I specifically asked if the service was moveable without additional charges I was told yes this would not be an issue When I moved service to *** *** *** ** XXXXX, I received different equipment, different charges and was required to sign an additional year contract The fact that I would need to sign an additional contract was not disclosed upon signing the original contract My service at *** *** has not functioned properly for several months, and the Pulse has never consistently functioned I made 3-calls to ADT and was given several "suggestions" for the non-functional service and reasons why the pulse would not pick up Regardless, the system did not workI have simply paid the bill and avoided additional lengthy phone calls to ADT, which ended in fruitless results At this time, I am cancelling my ADT service and asking that

In August they took out two monthly payments, which through off my monthly budgetWhen I noticed this I immediately contacted them and was told I would get a refund for the additional payment, this was on 8/28/and the money still hasn't been put back in my accountI will be contacting the Revdex.com

Two calls were made to ADT head and I was told the value was to be credited to the credit card listed in the contrat weeks after the call was placed
The due date for the refund was Feb and no amount was refunded

I recently decided to have a security system installed but was concerned with the cost I received a promotional flyer in the mail for ADT which offered a $rebate on installation/$per month special so I elected to contact them The salesperson promptly came out the next day He was personable and knowledgeable about the system and did a great job of installing the equipment However, as he was persuading me to purchase a more expensive package, he promised a "couple more $VISA gift cards" to "offset" the additional cost for the first year He had also indicated that I had "three months" to cancel the contract if I was not "happy." So, I agreed He said I would receive an email regarding the gift cards within three days days later, I contacted the local contractor to inquire about the gift cards The CSR promptly sent me an email for the first $VISA card and "got permission" to authorize one more (instead of two), which was nice However, in reviewing the instructions for redemption, the process to obtain the gift cards seemed odd so I googled Mpell Solutions (the company who distributes these cards on behalf of ADT) and read numerous negative reviews by customers who described their experience as a "scam" meaning some did not receive the cards, difficulties activating, frustration about the $shipping fee, and other concerns At this point, it made me uncomfortable to send in a personal check to try and redeem the certificateI contacted the local contractor and just expressed my frustration over being mislead and inquired about deactivating my system I was told there is absolutely no way to deactivate the system (unless there are "three of the exact same" unresolved incidents with the system within days) without paying the remaining fee on the three year contract (I believe 75% of the value of the contract) In short, I feel that I was mislead by the representative of the company and feel this is poor business practice I know I signed the contract and therefore am stuck with it but have buyer's remorse for the reasons cited above My review: From a customer service aspect, buyer bewareAnd be prepared to be locked in to the contract despite what was originally promised

ADT Home security presented me a contract for an alarm systemI was made aware that all of my equipment was working correctly to arm and disarm the systemThis is a breech of ContractHowever, not knowing my sensor in my dining room area was not working causing me to falsely securing my home and myself The salesman used an old sensor from my alarm system about years or more oldHowever he assured me that my system worked I called to cancel out this contract, the manager stated that I can but I would be responsible for paying $ in full of the month contractPlease have this Company to refund me all of my money paid towards installation and to come and retrieve their equipment as soon as possible I should not be kept in a contract if my equipment was not working properly Money was taken from my credit card without me knowing or the salesman explaining this upfront I no longer want to deal with alarm Companies

In November of 2017, I switched my landline to a cell-line but maintained the same number AT&T did not inform me that I had to notify ADT of the switch More importantly, ADT never called to ask if there was a problem since I learned later that they knew they were not receiving a signal from our residenceEarly in 2018, I noticed that the system was acting odd, so I called the service number The representative ran several tests with lots of beeping and told me she could not get a signal on the front door After about thirty minutes, she asked me if I had changed my phone number I said no, but that I had switched to cell service She then transferred me to another person because she said I needed to add a device to my ADT service and that would incur an additional monthly fee The woman who was to set up the appointment to add the device was CLUELESS First she told me that someone would come the next day and that the cost would be over $ Then she said, no a

As you can imagine from my TWO cancellation letters, I do not want any service from you

I called the business on April 6th to cancel their service, my contract was completed.They wanted to know why, so I explained that from the time of installation that there were issues but they never fixed them even after multiple callsThey proceeded to try and get me to continue their services by offering discounts which would put me into a new contractNo matter how many times in a minute conversation, they did not cancel it and then automatically took the May payment from my checking accountWhen I called them about it, they again tried to continue to harasse me wanting me to keep my serviceAgain I told them noThen I was told it would take days for the payment to be put back into my account

This business does not protect anything We have had the service for over two years with multiple issues and no one wants to resolve the issue They say that if you want to cancel you have to pay out the term of your contract When you call and speak to a supervisor they dont want to assist you We call and speak to someone in the customer service department at corporate and they state that they are the final word on what goes one When you ask to speak to someone above them they refuse to assist you This is the worst security company out there and do not recommend them to anyoneThere is no resolution to anything and they don't want to help the consumer at all

ADT system worked just fineNo glitches or issues with the system
However, the first tech who did the install didn't know what he was doing though and the system would go down from time to timeWhen another tech came out to fix it he was shocked at how poorly the initial installation was completedA minor offense
The REAL ISSUE came when I moved from Los Angeles to Maui, HIFirst off, ADT DOES NOT SERVICE HAWAII OTHER THAN OAHUI learned this the hard wayAfter numerous phone calls to the customer service department about transferring service, cancelling service, etcit was determined that ADT could not provide service on the island of Maui (after reminding them that Hawaii, Maui included, is a part of the United States) and that I would have to pay 75% of the remaining contractI was required to pay ADT even though the company couldn't service my new address in the United States

I highly recommend going another direction with home securityTheir customer service is terrible, lazy, and 100% fakeThey don't care about their customers, which is now clear

Misleading and dishonest about account movement and fees
I was moving from my location that had adt to my boyfriend'sSince he was getting upgrades as well, Andrew, the sales rep told us that we would be transferring and I wouldn't get charged anything, including a early cancellation feeAfter moving, I broke up with my boyfriend and was told I was off the accountnobody told me I owed ADT and now it went to collections and ruined my credit because of this "good ole boys club" that my ex and this Andrew created

ADT has mixed my account with another customer's I've been paying for monitoring services for someone else's address
I have had ADT for about or years at my home located at XXXXX *** In Feb I received a call from ADT informing me to confirm or cancel my installation appointment I immediately contacted ADT to let them know I did not have an appointment scheduled as I am already an ADT customer I verified my address, name, phone number etc.; I was still alarmed by this phone call so I emailed their customer relations department I received an email from MrGeorge *** informing me there was an error with an order that was placed in the ADT system and the address that was receiving the install was *** *** *** (around the corner from my address) He apologize for the inconvenience I assumed the error was correct and no further actions was required on my part
