So, this company or whoever the contractor that installed my system, told me straight up before I start agreeing with their BS that after installing their system, I have months to cancel and the installation fee I put on will be refunded 100%Today I called to terminate my service, and was transferred times, and has been answered rudely(trying to intimidate me) and telling me that the contract is for years and have to pay 75% of the balancefirst of all, an ADT supervisor/manager lied to me be by telling me NO CONTRACT on ADT! Second, this people are straight up rude to the customersStay away from this company!
they will lie to you just so they can have your business! stay away!

I am a retired USAF officerI contracted with ADT at my previous residence on 12/10/to for security services installation and monitoring including the installation of video cameras (one interior and one exterior)On 6/14/2016, I contacted the ADT Move Service to arrange the transfer of my service including the installation of the EXACT same system I had previously including the video camerasIn addition, their representative, Mr*** told me I could bring the two cameras I had from my previous residence and they could also be installed for a total of camerasThe installation occurred on 7/25/I was not at home but my wife was present during the installationApparently, Mr*** only put in an order for one video camera (interior)In addition, the installation technician took my existing two cameras which I purchased from ADT in December I init

A rep from adt came to my home and set me up back in June of I was told he would cancel my precious company and pay balance for meI am still paying on both alarms and not even getting the service I was providedI have taken all alarms o of my home because attorney general told me to remove everything and get information on all parties that mislead and lied to meAdt Wong do anything to help me and I owe them 320$ if I want to cancelI never got the service I was promised and I am paying on both alarms and my alarm before has a longer contract so they came and pt the system back and adt won't let me cancel and never let me cancelI'm upset I was lied to and paying on so many alarms right now when I shouldn't be paying on any since none are workingMy alarm center I am paying has their system in here but it has problemsAll alarm companies that send people

We are a military family who has moved twice in the past four yearsBoth times, ADT has continued to charge us despite calling to cancel

I never signed up with Brinks, I had a a different alarm company that I was completely satisfied withMy alarm company sold my "contract" to BrinksI have been trying since September to cancel my service and get a final billIt is now December and they STILL have not canceled my service and are calling me for payment non-stop! They are literally forcing me to stay in a service I DO NOT WANT! That cannot be legal! ADT Security has been nothing but trouble!! I would RUN away from this business
We had our business security system with ADT for yearsWe paid well over 40K to have cameras, alarm, keycard access, the full deal installed and monitored with ADT
When we had problems with the system and needed support, our sales rep was nowhere to be foundHe got the deal, so no need to support the account after the check was cut
This went on for a long time
After closing the business and putting in our request to cancel our account, they kept it open anyways and continue to bill meMind you this is after faxing in a signed cancellation letter twice, and sending in a email to cancel and working with the sales rep for months to get this cancelled, yet it's still openI get the typical response...We never got your request or I sent the request to the wrong fax numberNo, it was the right contact info, you just ignored the request
This is all just not acceptable and based on my experience I have black listed ADT and will never use them againThey just don't give a $#@!The company is disorganized, forgetful, lacking in leadership....the list goes on

I'm being harrassed by ADT representatives daily because I am new home owner and they some how learned of my new home purchase
On a daily basis since I purchased my home, an ADT rep appears at my door, driving to my house, targeting me specificallyDespite telling the first rep I am not interested, more continue to show up at my door with their hard sell sales tacticthis sales behavior has me feeling threatened and harassed and should not be tolerated

We have had ADT for months now and are locked into a month contract with themIn these months we have had our alarm system go off on its own separate timesThe police department starts to charge after the third alarm call so we have had to tell them to not dispatch the police when the alarm goes off because we don't want to be charged by themSo essentially our security system is useless because we are afraid to use it for fear of being charge for system problems
Last night we were away from home between 4:00pm and midnightWhen we arrived home and went to shut off our armed security system it was already unarmed! At 9:00pm the security system UNARMED ITSELF and our home was unprotected from 9;00pm until we arrived home at midnightWhen we contacted ADT, their only response was "oh yeah, that has been known to happen with that particular style of panelIf it happens again we will send out a tech."
Seems a bit nonchalant for a company that is supposed to be providing home securityThey are aware of a fault in their systems that makes our homes unsecured and they have no plan to ensure we are safe and to resolve the issue?
It would cost us over $1,to cancel our contract with them so we are stuck paying for a service that does not actually provide what it says it will, security in our home

Instead of running a Soft check on my Credit they ran a Hard check and now has affected my credit
I was planning on taking an ADT system for my home protectionWhen the sales person asked my SSN for running the credit I asked if it was a soft check or a hard checkHe confirmed it was a soft checkNow when I check my credit history, it was a hard check ADT did on my account
I have decided not to take ADT also, when I called up ADT to get this fixed they kept playing around and they did not know! This needs to be resolved

Don't get ADT They didn't call the police while we were burglarized until after my husband did It was too late then They left a message on our audible machine that they didn't call the police yet, letting the burglars know Then they tried to charge us for fixing our alarm, which did not work as an audible alarm and yet it was supposed to They never returned our monthly fees either, nor did they apologize Terrible service!!!

I called ADT to make repairs to my system (I pay extra for servicing)I found out that my system had not been communicating with ADT for over a monthI was told that I would be charged $for the first half hour and $for increments of fifteen minutes It made me upsetI have been with ADT for over years
I called to cancel my service and spoke to *** She said she would cancel my service but wanted to hear my story She listened and promised to have my service restored without charging me and to give me a monthly credit for the inconvenience However, before all this would take place, she changed the subject to me signing up for three more years
That is not why I called; but that is what I wound up with I have paid quarterly for ten yearsI didn't need a contract But before the credit was entered and the system repaired, I was duped in to saying yes over the phone When the technician did not arrive on the appointed day and there was no note of a loss of service credit, I called to rescind the contract I was told that I passed the day of rescinding and there was nothing I could do I was told that I should have read the contract I signed years agoI would have known that I only had days to rescind I do not think it is right to treat a long time customer this way I cant charge ADT for non performance or not showing up on time or having to accept a hour window to get service I do not want to be locked in to another years and I still don't have a working system This is not the way to treat a long time customer

I called at appx110pm central time on 5/to get an upgrade to my equipmenti was on the phone with the agent for almost minsshe offered me an equipment upgrade for which I did because we needed it but I know that was a rip offduring this time she quoted me a price of I had to call back and she assured me everything would be notated because it was a "pending" offerwhen I called back on 6/at around 1215pm the agent advised me that she did not see anything notated and the lowest she could do is this is more than we pay nowi know the calls are recorded and I need that first call listened toif I can not get the price the rep offered then I will have the ability to cancel with no cancellation fee due to information

I called on 10/06/2:P.MXXX-XXX-XXXX and cancelled my serviceThe rep said it would take days but the account would be cancelled and a refund would be made He also threatened to lock up my equipment so that it could not be used by another provider I told him that the control pad had already been disconnected and that I had purchased the equipment so it is a good thing that he couldn't do thatI did not receive a refund and I received a bill in the mail today 12/17/for the next three months I called customer service and was told that there was no record of that call and they would not refund any unused monies prior to today
Question: why was I threatened when, as I was told today,
they do not even have the capability to lock up equipment and why was that call not showing up on ADT system when all calls are supposedly recorded?
So I have been paying for more than months of service which I cancelled of 10/06/This makes me a very unhappy former customer who would never use ADT services againI previously used ADT services for many years both at home and business and was very satisfiedI changed services because my son in law works for another security companyThis is a very bad experience and a reflection on the integrity of the company and its employees

NEVER choose ADTCustomer service is terrible and it seems that nobody knows what they are talking aboutOne agent will tell you one thing and then you will get completely different information from another agentI was promised a new camera for my system that was supposed to be a part of my package to begin with only to find out I got charged $for these items that I should have had during the first installation!! I have been a customer since and my bill has increased almost every year without adding any servicesVery frustrating!!
