company set up equipment that did not provide the service that it was suppose toOur home was invaded while we were home and there is no video feed

I have been a customer with ADT for over three yearsI had a system in my Allison Avehome back in and then transferred that system in to my new home on Thornton aveWithout thinking about the contract (I thought was a transfer, not a restart of my services) moved forward with putting the equipment in the new home as I was informed upon asking if I could just move my old equipment that it was "better" to just put new ones inNow that I have moved and was looking to cancel my contract I called only to find out I owe to finish out my year contractWhen I asked how if I started my services in that I still have such an excessive amount left they explained that my contract was restartedI feel this company has snuck it's way into locking my family up to a monthly fee that they have control of and now after moving my options are to get new equipment for the 3rd time and pay to restart another contract

ADT will not fix my security system in a timely mannerSo far they have cancelled one appointment and set another a week from my call for repair

I moved into a home that had ADT service already in 2/The homeowner and I decided that it would be easier and best to put the service in my name for ease of useI was disappointed to find that I had to pay additional fees and have the system 'replaced' in order to put it in my name, but I compliedI cancelled the service 1/19/because I was moving and the home already had a security system that was paid forI explained this to the representative when I called and was told that I would be billed for a cancellation fee because there was still another year left on the contract! I disagreed, but decided I would dispute the fee when I received the final billing via mailI never received the bill and on 3/8/a total of $was taken out of my checking accountI was shocked and appalled at the fee being charged, I am disappointed as long time customer of ADT that I would even be charged

ADT money back guarantee is not true and they refuse to give our money back or let us out of the contract

I recently found out that my contract with ADT is for years However, my last contract was for only months and all I did was move to NC
I have been with ADT for over years I signed up with them and was told that because I was a USAA member, I was to get a special rate and my contract was for months So when my contract ended last year, I waited until I relocated to NC in June and had them move my service to my new address Having previously had an month contract and being told by the representative that everything would stay the same and they would take care of the move, I never realized that they used a standard year contract to complete my service I signed it and never notice the sentence saying it was a year contract because the representative indicated that I was getting the same service, which I believed was an month contract and the special rate I live in rental property, it is unreasonable to believe that I was going to live out a year contra

Dealt with several "bait and switch" style sales pitchesScheduled an appointment for installing additions to current system at $xxThe first thing the tech said when he showed up was that our system wasn't compatible with what they'd scheduled him to installVERY frustrating that the person who sold me on those items wasn't aware of their non-compatibility with the system of a current customer

I called to cancel my account and after going through all of the information I get told my name isn't on the accountI told my husband so he could do itHe calls and the rep tells him that the account is cancelled and no more charges will be processed through my bank accountMy bank account is charged again so this time we call them togetherTurns out the rep he spoke to didn't cancel the account and put in the notes that my husband was unable to verify the password on the account and was yelling so she couldn't help himThen we are told there is a day notice that must be given to cancel an account & that this information is written in our contract (i have searched all of the paperwork we were given as well as online account & legal information) and I can not seem to see anywhere that states there is any minimum notice that must be givenI told the rep the charges were unauthorized and needed to be refunded and was told giving them the card information for the payments was authorizationI then explained that cancellation of the account made the charges unauthorizedWe were told a manager would review the recordings of our calls (not really sure why) and call us back in about an hour but that our account was cancelled as of that dayJust looked online today to see there is a new bill and the account is still not cancelled (took my bank info out after last charge went through)The rep wouldnt let us talk to the manager and just kept repeating that since our cancellation was never processed (even though the notes stated the calls were to cancel the account) and I gave them my card information they were well within their rights to continue charging me for services I no longer wanted

I called to speak to costumer service regarding the contractI asked to speak to someone about getting out of the contract and my name was slandered while I was on the phone, the representative thought he hung up the phone and was talking with someone at the office and slandered my nameI informed him that I was still on the phone and heard everything and that I would be contacting someone about this matterOther then the slander on my name, I also did not get the service that I was promisedI had been having problems since the first week of having the alarm system with it going off for no reasonThey did not come out and fix the alarm and they stated they wouldI would like this matter handled as soon as possibleI have also tried contacting the Revdex.com before about this matter, but I am not sure what became of thisThanks

I have had ADT for about years I moved in and kept ADT with automatic payments from my checking account As of 12/5/I had my land line removed and went with Xfinity ADT continue to take money from my account and no contract for years at $a month so my question is what were they monitoring when they knew there wasn't a land line In June of I got my security switched to Xfinity I called to have the account cancelled and stayed on hold over one hour every time I attempt to cancel and they continue to take money from my account When I stop the payments from coming out of my account then I was able to talk to someone in August and because I didn't have my password they refused to cancel my service so they are continuing to call and harass me and they are continuing to charge for something they know I don't use And if they were to give a printout of my service for two years and counting there isn't any activity on the account because there is no phone l

Absolutely worst company I have ever dealt withI am sales manager at a very large Ford dealership and if I were to ever treat a customer like this, it would have been my last dayAt first I called into ADT to get pricing over the phoneThey tell me that the monthly ranges from $27-$depending on which package I selectI asked which package covers what and they said that my technician would go over all of that when we set an appointmentI didn't want an appointment to tell me what covers what, I wanted pricing over the phoneHe was continued to say "that is how you will get the information, with an appointment." The salesman was great on the phone, so I trusted everything he saidI am very empathetic to any type of salesHe then said I need your last four of your social and date of birth for a credit pullI said I do not want you to pull my credit, I haven't even said I am going to buy anything yetHe then said we send people to the most dangerous parts of the country and we need to know their identityI knew for a fact that was complete garbageThey just want to see if my credit is good enough for their payment process etcI let them pull my credit, just because I figured ADT must be this amazing company and I would end up going with them in the endThe Technician showed up right on time and was very niceI could tell he was newer, but I don't hold that against himI am only concerned on how his company trains and what their process is at the saleSo after about 2-minutes of talking to him I asked for the pricing, I thought that was the whole point of the appointmentHe said he had to set up a few things and get some signals and then he would go over all of thatAfter an hour and forty-five minutes he comes and grabs me off of my couch to go over everythingAt that point I noticed he had taken my current security panel off of the wall and installed his ADT panelThought that was a little weird, kind of assuming the sale or maybe there was a presentation coming along with itSo after telling me all about their product he turns over his paperHit me for a $bill for all of their equipment, which I already had and the other company didn't charge me for anythingThis turned me off pretty quick because the salesman on the phone a few days ago never said anything about having to pay for the equipment just a monthly payment for the service I selectedFast forward two hours, the technician has been here for a total of four hours nowI talked to his field manager as well as his sales manager that is up north somewhereThe sales manager kept throwing free stuff in to try to get me to do itIf he would have just been up front with me from the start I would have laid down and started their service that dayAfter telling them no 3-times the sales manager finally let him pack up his stuff and replace my stuff back to how I had it at the beginningRight before he left I went and told him that my current security display is showing an error on the screen for powerHe just said because it has been disconnected for 3-hours it will need to chargeI said okay what if the error message doesn't go away? He said that I would need to call my current security provider to come out and fix itAt this point I was just done with ADTI came home from dinner with my family and my security system is now not working at allThis morning I called the customer service department and told them my storyTheir response was the same call your current provider and tell them to fix itNot only do I get just one day off a week to spend time with my family, but now I have to wait for my current provider to fix ADTs problemsThis is ridiculousI then asked him to remove the credit inquiry from my credit because I felt like I was slightly misled on their sales process as well as the credit pullHe said that it will most likely not be taken off unless he never told me that he was going to pull the creditLike I stated before I am in sales, and have been for a long timeOur business lives off repeat and referralsI will never recommend this company to anyone

ADT falsely advertised a promotion and failed to offer a compatible package for me as a currebt custoner of years
On March 27, I contacted ADT because of a flyer that I had received in the mail offering a deal of $month payment with the purchase of Alarm Monitoring servicesThe flyer stated that the customer would receive a free security system at no cost for parts and activation and all for $installation fee and the purchase of Alarm Monitoring servicesThe flyer continued to offer free bonus offers of $Visa gift card, free wireless remote control, door window sensors, and free digital camera
Since I am currently a customer of ADT for a little over years now, I thought maybe they would not offer me this promotional flyer they promoted, but that they would offer me at least a compatible offer in order to stay as a customer since I am no longer under contract and that I could leave at any time for another company
So without mentioning any names, when

By far the worst establishment I have ever dealt withThey sell u the equipment and then you become a prisoner of their unprofessional, irreverent incompetenceIn October I upgraded to include cameras, technicians have been out to calibrate fox the camera a total of 15+ timesAppointments were made, technicians arrived after the window period, each time I would need to take time from worktimes in a month*** from scheduling canceled a rescheduled appointment in a day I already took of because she states they had no technician As I am writing this I am still waiting for the tech since 8am it's now 2pm, and I was the alleged first appointmentCustomer service rep had the nerve to have an attitude because I told her how long I was waitingCurrently trying to get another company but the customer ends up losingI nust got the service in Aoril very dissatisfied but feel stuckAlso their sales reps are very deceptiveIt's best to go elsewhere

months of waiting for a refund
I had a transfer of service with ADTThey have continued to take the payment electronically from my bank account for the old address since August I have contacted the company several times, with four people saying either the refund check was mailed or electronically sent back to my accountTo this date I have not received a refund by any meansAs of today they have taken another $from my accountThis brings the total of $taken for an account that was closed

I recently contacted ADP's national office to set up their monitoring service, and I was extremely impressed with the person with whom I interacted The customer rep really listened to what I wanted and offered me a great deal When I then met the local installer in the Medford, OR area, I was further impressed with the quality of service and his sincere desire to customize a security package that worked for me Before he left, he ensured that I understood the system and that my equipment needs based on a thorough house inspection were met It was obvious to me throughout this process that not only was I dealing with highly skilled professionals, but also people dedicated to providing great customer service

I cancelled ADT but they contacted me and promised $100.00Visa Card but didn't tell me I had to pay to get it sent to me plus they promised me a cheaper monitoring monthly plan still do not have now I have another contract that I hate I will never use them again even if I have to pay another company twice what ADT charges they lie and are no better than any other monitoring company who charges 10x less to monitor
