We enter a renewed contract with ADT July At that time ADT applied a $credit to our account for loyalty retention and to rectified our complaint of inadequate service The monthly contractual amount agreed is $and would be applied against the credit amount on a monthly basis January with a credit balance remaining of $229.88, ADT arbitrarily charged $which deplete the credit balance entirely They did not call or send notice of explanationTherefore, we submitted a letter of disputed dated March 9th Subsequently, we have received a bill showing past due and late charges We spoke with a representative (Norma) via phone on March 22, who stated she would speak with her manager and get back to us via phone or email within a couple of hours At this time we have not heard back from Norma or Manager.Below is the letter content sent to ADT on 3/9March 9, 2016ADT Security ServicesCustomer Service ? The new ADT app Pulse is a complete failureIt hasn't been operational for over hours leaving many security systems only operable in person - stranding vacationers and mobile operators from their systems
This has to be one of the worst roll outs of a new app ever
ADT has to get it right before they put out an update especially with a security service appPeople rely on this and it can leave thousands of homes and businesses vulnerable

I have never been treated so bad, I have been a client with ADT for many, many years, I have just moved to our new home, and called ADT to transfer my services, I got a Sales person name *** *** *** first was super nice, then told me to hangup witj the ADT customer service and he would give me a better rate and $Discount, *** came to my old house, and showed me how to remove my old equipments and take to the new house so I would not be chargedThen we went to my new house, there he started doing his math, and I was suppost not pay anything, well I had to pay $for the instalation along with a Free Alexa that I never GotWell *** works with another small alarm company in the side, where he is stealing customer from ADT, like he offered me, he could get me a better deal with them, I didnt think that was rightWell *** them told me to complain weeks after the instalation to get my Alexa freeI told him, no you have to add lik e you said so, I have text messages between him and iThem now its being montn and my services its still not installed, and they are putting me on the backburnerThen I spoke to his manager *** *** another very rude person that do not care about his customers at allWell at this time I have file a complain against the company, I am getting a lawyer and disputing the charges with my bankNo one knows anything at the 1800# the keep telling you they are waiting on a answer and they would ca me in 24hoursHello its been over daysOne montn tomorrowHow r we suppost to trust and feel safe with this kind of conpany????

Forgery of signature or digital copy of signature to three year contract when one year contract was what was discussed with technician at installation
We are federal employees and I know for certain at installation the technician told me it was a one year contract as at the time we knew we would not be in this house for three yearsI would not have signed a three year contractMy signature is also not placed correctly on the signature lineThere are hundreds of people on the Internet stating they did not realize they were signing a three year contract when clearly, they did not sign oneThe documents are fraudulentIn addition, the first time I called to cancel there was ZERO mention of a three year contract tractInstead the phone operator placed me on hold for minutes then literally told me my family and home was in danger if I did not continue with their servicesThis is intimidation and harrassment as well as threatening behaviorPlus, if the contract was legitimate, wh

I was told I was going to get a refund for a small portion of the unused time left

Billing, unprofessional and Cancellation policy
Hello my name is *** *** and my account number is XXXXXXXXXI had ADT services for approximately a year and seven months starting from May 1st to December I had the ADT pulse system which I truly enjoyedI initially paid approximately $to set up for two external ADT pulse Cameras and sensorsMy monthly payment was approximately $dollars per month and I was never late
In December of 2016, I was in the process of moving to another locationI contacted ADT and spoke to Edward *** regarding this matter and told him and I no longer needed ADT and I am sad to Depart due to the fact I was moving into a gated community apartment complex and could not use ADT there I was advised there will be a cancelation fee, I had to pay of $I asked if there was another way to avoid cancellation feeI told Edward, I have a friend who recently moved to a new location and wanted security systemI praise

Dealt with several "bait and switch" style sales pitchesScheduled an appointment for installing additions to current system at $xxThe first thing the tech said when he showed up was that our system wasn't compatible with what they'd scheduled him to installVERY frustrating that the person who sold me on those items wasn't aware of their non-compatibility with the system of a current customer

ADVERTISING, WILL GIVE YOU THE RUNAROUND ON THE PHONE AND TRANSFER YOU UP TO TIMES IF YOU LET THEM, WILL REFIUSE TO GIVE YOU A COPY OF SIGNED CONTRACT, CUSTOMER SERVICE SENDS YOU A COPY OF CONTRACT WITH A COMPUTERIZED SIGNATURE, CALL THEM FOR REPAIR AND POSSIBLE UPGRADE AND FOUND OUT THAT TOO MANY MAILERS FROM TOO MANY NUMBERS THAT ARE ALL FUNNELED INTO ONE THAT ACTS LIKE THE MOB THEY WILL NOT ALLOW ANY OTHER ADT TO OPERATE IN MY AREA AND TAKES LEADS AND SHOVES TINEY SCREENS IN FRONT OF YOU TO SIGN THAT YOU CAN'T READ AND THE INSTALLER KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT PROMO ADVERTISED WHICH WAS THE REASON FOR CALLING

Complaint involves the cancelation fee of over $I never recieved a copy of the fee or told by the sales rep about the fee

They refuse to cancel my service and continue to send bills
I have been trying to cancel my ADT service repeatedly and they will not cancel the service We have had nothing but problems with our system and after several service calls, it is still never worked properly ADT continues to send me a bill for service

Despite all of the great reviews, ADT has not been a good experience for meI purchased a home with existing equipment and it has been faulty from day oneIn less than two years, I have had to have service techs come 5-times and still the same issues persistConstantly getting alarms for broken glass, low battery, etc., and being woken out my sleep at all times of the night with these alarmsI have initiated all contact with ADT about these issues and not once has anyone taken responsibility for the issues I'm having and seen them through to resolutionNo one has tried to make this right for me, I don't even think I've ever been offered any compensation for the times I wasn't able to use the alarm system for several days at a time! I even had one of the service techs tell me what I've been dealing with is ridiculous and that ADT should have offered to replace all of the equipmentFinally I decided to cancel my service with ADT, and now they want me to pay them 75% of my remaining contract ($407)This is insane! With all of the aggravation I've had to deal with over the last two years, and the fact that the equipment is clearly faulty, you would think they would just call it even, and not add insult to injuryNever again will I ever use ADT, or recommend them to anyoneDisgusted & disappointed

Nest installation
I originally ordered back in march adt pulse services for my brand new townhome Part of the reason why we hired adt was Bc they offered the nest thermostat to go alongWith their security service The installer and electrician came to our home which has a brand new hvac unit after we paid dollars upfront for installation and equipment The electrician blew a fuse and could not even get the nest to turn on and then installed a generic thermostat and left The local office then declared that my home was not compatible with the product which was a lie and was false Our home is brand new and we confirmed with the hvac company that the nest is compatible Adt insisted it wasn't over two months of long phone calls and not returned phone messages from several customer service reps Finally I got someone to agree and come back out but the local office wants to charge me another dollars for an electrician This is unacceptable as the first electrician

In June 2018, I decided to go with a different security company other than ADT, when I called ADT to cancel service with them the person that I spoke with asked the reasons for the cancellation with them I responded that the rates with the other company were cheaper with more equipment and services, such as a smoke alarm system, glass break unit for the windows etcTheir monthly rate were $compared to ADT rates of $for one unit and $Quarterly for the other unitI have two units with them, unit one and unit twoI was offered by ADT a matching price rate with the same equipment and services as the other company If I committed to a extended contract for three yearsI agreed but, when the bills came out they were not as what was discussed the bill of $reduced to $which average out to be $not $36.99, however, the one unit bill of $was reduced to the During the conversation with ADT I specifically mention that the $Unit one
