ADT salesman induced me to sign year contract by saying I could cancel at any time and get money backTried to cancel told it will be 3K to do so
I am in Phx and signed up with ADT - and was directed here b/c that is where their headquarters isUpon signing up, I was told I could cancel at any time and could get money backSystem has not worked right since I signed upI am paying for a useless security systemTried to cancel and told I cannot get out of contract I signed three year contract and it will be 3K to do so

Service has not worked in over a yearIt wasn't until we quit paying our bill that they agreed to send out a technician
Our service with ADT hasn't worked in over a yearOnce we quit paying our bill and after several phone calls they sent out a service tech who ultimately figured out why it wasn't workingHe had to make several changes including removal of some screws to the wall for the system to sit straightI was told once the technician came out to assess the situation we would be getting credits back for the time we paid and didn't receive serviceUltimately, the person whom the technician reported back to proceeded to tell us there wasn't an issue found and that we needed to pay the past due balanceSee...after it not working for such a long period of time...I quit paying...why would I pay for a service I was not receivingThis was the response I got after the technician spent hours at my home and concluded the system indeed wasn't functioning properly

We have had ADT for months now and are locked into a month contract with themIn these months we have had our alarm system go off on its own separate timesThe police department starts to charge after the third alarm call so we have had to tell them to not dispatch the police when the alarm goes off because we don't want to be charged by themSo essentially our security system is useless because we are afraid to use it for fear of being charge for system problems
Last night we were away from home between 4:00pm and midnightWhen we arrived home and went to shut off our armed security system it was already unarmed! At 9:00pm the security system UNARMED ITSELF and our home was unprotected from 9;00pm until we arrived home at midnightWhen we contacted ADT, their only response was "oh yeah, that has been known to happen with that particular style of panelIf it happens again we will send out a tech."
Seems a bit nonchalant for a company that is supposed to be providing home securityThey are aware of a fault in their systems that makes our homes unsecured and they have no plan to ensure we are safe and to resolve the issue?
It would cost us over $1,to cancel our contract with them so we are stuck paying for a service that does not actually provide what it says it will, security in our home

I will not even give this FRAUD company any starsI had my alarm installed days ago and was told or from how I understood it, I had days to cancelDue to financial changes I called to cancel my service, I was told that I would have to pay 75% of my contract and the best they could do was give me month freeI have a house and two kids to worry about, how would they like me to pay 75% of my contract if I dont have the money to do so? ADT charged an initial permit fee to us for an alarm They did not file it with the city and we incurred fines for it
We bought a home in San Francisco in 11/ During our initial move in we had ADT come out and install a security alarm On that initial installment we paid a $dollar fee (estimate) for a permit to the city of San Francisco We had four alarms within the first six months of having the alarm put in With the initial alarm we had a service call out to ADT and they came out and replaced batteries to the said monitor with faulty alarm We contacted ADT at that point as we recieved a letter from San Francisco city tax collectors on fees for alarms as well as having an unpermitted alarm We paid for the initial alarm permit in 11/ By months later- with multiple phone calls and no resolution to the situation (we had accumulated late fees for these charges), we still have no resolution We called ADT multiple times speaking to multiple m

Alarm going off and a person cannot come fix it for four days
The battery installed by ADT is beepingI called and they said it was low is why They said they could mail me a battery in 4-days I said the beeping is driving me crazy- that is unacceptable Can you turn it off from there They said, "No." They said they can send someone out in -days They tried to tell me how to unhook the battery, but it's not a regular battery I see no way to unhook the wires Then they said to unhook the electrical transformer in the garage! I don't know how to do that, either, and I never mess with electrical wires I don't feel like I should have to, either!!! I said just turn it off, I cannot sleep with that beeping They said I have a contract and will owe $*** dollars if they turn off my service! I cannot believe a business treats customers this way and there is NO resolution! I have never missed a payment! A manager named *** was unbelievably unhelpful!

Buyer beware - they came to our place of business and had a staff member sign an agreement without disclosing the termsThey said that was standard in their businessTheir terms were a three year contract with a $1,penalty - when we tried to cancel the services, they acted like the bullies they think they are - would not recommend under any circumstance

ADT is one of the worst large companies that has gotten away with unethical business practices for years but it apparently is coming to an end if the class action suits, five so far, continue they will go out of businessIn California alone they had to pay $950,for their go to market strategy and the "never let the customer go" approach which is ruining them and it's about timeHow can one have reviews of which are negative and the Revdex.com rating is an A+ something isn't right here

Just had a ADT system installedIt was very professionalThe subcontractor did try to sell us additional stuff but that was expectedThe key to avoid problems is to double check your order with the salesman before your appointment to avoid miscommunicationsThe installation is more complicated than you might think and having a professional do it seems wiseSo far, we are very happy with ADT and the horror stories about ADT services seem to be distortedCustomers should educate themselves as to what to expect from their security company no matter who it is

Making a payment on line is not effective and its deceiving
I love my ADT systemI used my credit card for payments, but found making the payments on line was sufficientHowever, I noticed that my payments were not being processed & returnedThen I found out that even though you schedule a payment on line for a specific date, ADT decides to take it out on the same dayEven though the website provides you with an option to select when the payment comes outI have certain bills that I pay on certain dates, so when I go to ADT and select September 30th, to bring my account up to dateThat is the date I am expectingNot when they feel as though it should come outThen the customer support representative that I spoke with today wants to give me a refundA refund for what?? The money hasn't drafted from my accountI just wanted her to stop the paymentI have my mortgage payment and anyhow there are insufficient funds in my account this will cause great stressSo ADT needs

Product never worked properly; failure of company to respond to service requests
Entered into contract on 3/4/Customer Account NoXXXXXXXXX Paid $that day upon installation of the security systemThe system never worked properlyI called for a service representative to come fix the problem however no one ever cameI drove to Lexington in order to speak face to face and get some help, however nothing came of this eitherI made good faith and reasonable efforts to acquire the help that I needed, however the company never provided me with a working systemThere is a day warranty on the system which the company has nearly extinguished after which time it seems they have no responsibility to repair anythingThe company has breached their duty under the contract upon failing to provide a working system at least during the period of warrantyI want the system removed and a refund

ADT is the WORST business we have ever had the miserable displeasure of dealing with They use language such as "100% Customer Satisfaction" and "We value our customers." Absolutely false ADT's only priority is their bottom line
Our family's safety & security has been compromised by a system that does not function, and the only concern ADT has is holding us to a 3-year contract! (That's right: They are holding us to a 3-year contract on a system that does not function Needless to say, we will be taking legal action against ADT.)

By far the worst establishment I have ever dealt withThey sell u the equipment and then you become a prisoner of their unprofessional, irreverent incompetenceIn October I upgraded to include cameras, technicians have been out to calibrate fox the camera a total of 15+ timesAppointments were made, technicians arrived after the window period, each time I would need to take time from worktimes in a month*** from scheduling canceled a rescheduled appointment in a day I already took of because she states they had no technician As I am writing this I am still waiting for the tech since 8am it's now 2pm, and I was the alleged first appointmentCustomer service rep had the nerve to have an attitude because I told her how long I was waitingCurrently trying to get another company but the customer ends up losingI nust got the service in Aoril very dissatisfied but feel stuckAlso their sales reps are very deceptiveIt's best to go elsewhere

My alarm system has not worked for over months I have called number of times, and they dont fix the problemSo, I want my service cancelled
About months ago, my system stopped working I have called number of times to get the problem resolved Every time they put me in a queue for support, and after minutes (at minimum) the line drops So, I finally gave up, and stopped payment Now, every time they call from billing, I tell them until my service is fixed, I will not make a payment They still have done the same thing Even though they have not been able to fix my problem they still want full payment for period of no service They have put my family and home at risk Due to this negligence, I want my contract cancelled with no back payment or cancellation fee I should not be responsible for a service I am not being provided

Worst experience everUnreliable and irresponsible serviceEven for urgent matters you have to wait on line for at least minutesAnd because ADT was not able to pick up my phone call within a few minutes as stated clearly to me the police was dispatchedWhen you tried to explain no one at ADT cares to take any responsibilityI have been with ADT for almost years and they will not consider your loyalty if something goes wrongI decided to leave this companyEven your alarm goes off now you will be asked to press then then and wait foreverThink twice if you want professional and timely service

Absolutely absurdWe called to cancel our services prior to our year contract being over, so we knew we were going to get hit pretty hard with cancellation fees (totally okay with paying the cancellation fees)What we were not okay was the continuous lies and deception the employees gave us
Our first call was initiated on Dec19th, (the day the house was being sold) to cancel the servicesOn that day, we were told the final amount due and that it would be auto-debited from our account on the following month when our monthly payment was typically auto-debited
In January, we watched for the cancellation to hit the account, but it didn'tInstead, they billed us our monthly amountImmediately, we called to find out what was going onThis time we were told, oh yes we see you cancelled, but there is a day window before the services are actually cancelled
Okay, fine, but will the amount for cancellation now be reduced? The representative stated with great certainty, yes since you paid January's monthly amount your cancellation amount will reflect that and then proceeded to give us the new cancellation terms
At that time, we requested our checking account info be removed, as we wanted a paper invoice mailed to us, for our records and to be sure no more payments were taken from us without our being aware of themThe representative promised an invoice was being sent in the mail that day, so we could pay the final balance
However, that bill never arrivedInstead, I discovered they "sent" (it was never sent anywhere except our online portal) us a February bill for the monthly amount due and increased the cancellation amount by $without ever notifying us OR sending the bill we had requested in the first place
Thanks for wanting payments, but not sending bills and lying to us the entire timeWe would have happily paid the amount initially agreed uponNow, not so much

ADT Security Services demanding I pay a contract I never signed
Please, Please, Please, I am desperate I am in my 80's and as of February widowed I must sell my house due to financesWhen I called to cancel ADT Security Services for my house they insisted that I have to pay through the contract period, an amount of $ I NEVER signed a contact They sent a form for forged signature and I sent a notarized signature which does not match the contact they insist I signedThey refused the facts and are sending me to collections I have no one to turn to except lawyers who I cannot afford Can anyone please hep me?
