balance of $2,041.14. The account is for cellular services established on August 15, 2008, until [redacted] Mobility considered the account delinquent on February 4, 2013.  The billing address associated with the account is 142 Oddville Sunrise Road, Cynthiana, KY 41031, and the phone numbers are [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted].  Afni mailed the initial notice of the account on or about February 8, 2017, to [redacted], Cynthiana, KY 41031, which is the same address the consumer listed as her address on this complaint.  On March 26, 2017, Afni furnished the credit reporting agencies with notice of the account. On April 30, 2018, Afni received this complaint.  This was Afni’s first contact with the consumer.  In response, Afni ceased communication and initiated an investigation. Afni has [redacted]ached copies of the account billing statements to this response; these are provided as validation of the account.  To address the consumer’s concern, Afni has had no communication with the consumer until receiving this complaint.  Additionally, Afni mailed the initial notice of the account on or about February 8, 2017.  Afni did not receive any notice of returned mail, and as a result, can infer that the notice of rights was received.  With regard to the consumer’s statement that Afni has re-aged the account.  Afni has furnished accurate information to the credit reporting agencies at all times.  The credit reporting agencies require Afni to furnish the date Afni received the account as the open date.  However, the age of obsolescence for credit reporting is determined by the date of delinquency furnished to the credit reporting agencies.  When Afni furnished information on the account, it furnished the open date as December 19, 2016.  Therefore, Afni has not re-aged the account.  As previously stated, the date of delinquency on the account is February 4, 2013.  It should be noted that the service was active and the bills were being paid for over four years.  However, Afni will send a request to the credit reporting agencies to remove the account from the consumer’s credit report.  Please be aware that it can take the credit reporting agencies up to 60 days to update consumer credit reports.  Afni has no control over how quickly the credit reporting agencies update consumer credit reports.  However, this does not mean that the account is not due and owing, simply that Afni will no longer furnish the account to the credit reporting agencies.  Afni trusts this response has addressed the consumer’s concerns, but if questions remain, or if she would like to discuss the account, she may contact a Consumer Relations Specialist at (866) 716-1284.

I am rejecting this response because:
AFNI is asking me to produce documents from 05-06-2011 a 06-14-2011 for proof of residency. I was not working nor were/are any bills in my name . I live with my grandparents and everything is in their name. However my drivers license has always been registered at that address my whole 25 years of living. How am I suppose to produce documents from 2011?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.For the "Record", please note that the origination date of the [redacted] U-Verse account was from 2009.  It also DID NOT list my name on the account - just stating the account was from this address. Also equally important... AFNI stated that they has requested that all (3) credit agencies remove this from my credit reports long ago however, even stating that an account from 2009, with no name (just an address), was admittedly removed from the credit reporting agencies long ago - they still tried to get me to pay a bill I have never owed.  I have lived in my home for (14) years and havealways had [redacted].  AFNI are liars!!!  Yes, I accept AFNI response to never contact me again and that they will never use this bogus [redacted] account issue to try and bribe me again...

I am rejecting this response because: It is clear that this is a case of fraud but it is not incumbent upon me to prove this is fraud. I would argue that it is  your business and the burden of proof is upon Sprint to deal with the fact that this is not my signature. I will not sign your fraud document as it not appropriate for this situation. Please contact me if you have found any new information on this subject otherwise I will consider this matter closed.
