Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Dear [redacted]
I received your response about me providing a certificate for my extenuating circunstance. However I feel that is a separate issue and although I could but that will not satisfy my initial complaint which was about a person having a listing on your website that was not available in the first place. When I reach the other party initially to discuss the renting situation I agree to wait for a reasonable time but upon times was passing I reach out to them and was told I COULD STILL CANCEL IF I WANTED BUT I HAD TO INITIATE THE CANCELATION ON MY SIDE. I went ahead and did it trusting in their word to later find out they were entitled to compensation even if I never showed up. The reservation was done the same day and the room was not ready under those circunstances eventhough there was NO EXTENUATING CIRSUNSTANCE ANYONE SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND. Thank god we have a legal system in this country and its not up to you guys to decide on matters like the one above. As I provided on my email I really like your business model and have helped me in a lot of my travels but to accept that this is ok is not the right thing and quite frankly this complaint is not about money but on the principle that no one should put something for rent if its not available in the first place . I will seek other people wih the same problem I had to move forward on a group class action to seek demages as I dont see this to fair to anyone in the same situation. I wish we could come into an agreement here . Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,[redacted]
My claim is not about you guys not accepting my medical certificate instead is about you letting people use your website to defraud other individuals by allowing them to post inventory that is not there and than letting them take their moneyI would like to have my money refunded based on the fact that the unit WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING AND SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO REFUNDThe reservation never took place as the room was not ready and was done the same day the reservation was for so the owner did not suffer any monetary lossI would appreciate to have my money refunded?

Hello and thank you for your message. I have tried calling into Airbnb several times and have been told that trust and safety has put a hold on my profile. They said that I was supposed to contest information attached to my name that was sent to me back in 2013. I unfortunately never received this request nor do I know what would be showing up against my name that would prevent me from being on the site. My email is [redacted] and my phone number was [redacted]. This was all going back to 2013. There’s only one [redacted] who exists as well. That’s me. Sincerely,[redacted]
Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

On October 23, 2017 Airbnb sent the following to the guest:
“Hi [redacted],
Thank you for the reply.
Reservation [redacted] was canceled by Airbnb on October 7, 2017, due to the chargeback you filed with your bank. At that time, we attempted to refund your payment method in full ($690.34), but have been unable to do so due to the chargeback you filed.
This reservation was canceled because we are unable to support a reservation that the guest has filed a financial dispute on, as we can not guarantee payment in full.
I apologize for any inconvenience and recommend you contact your financial institution for further advice.
Best,
[redacted]”
We have issued our final decision for this case and we will disengage from further discussion on this topic.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Airbnb did not live up to their own policies and procedures nor do they accept responsibility for their properties to adhere to their contracts with them. The customer suffers and Airbnb, by their non-response, is showing their true corporate character. This should be a warning to anyone using their ‘service.’ Stay in their properties at your own risk - pictures don’t reflect the actual property state or conditions, managers can be untrustworthy and Airbnb takes no responsibility for quality control, safety or contract fulfillment by their managers. Sincerely,[redacted]
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: not once in the response has anyone said what will happen. It just states that someone will reach out to me. Well this happened April 22nd and I still have yet to get that response. So once I've spoken with to someone and we have come to a agreement then we can move forward. What was retured was not enough to accommodate my family for sleeping in two mini vans and the lost of time and money that was wasted on our first family vacation. I really do hope to here from you soon. Also the coupon for 200 was used on May the 5th this time was bad as well. The listing that we stayed in states new... it was not the house was nasty. Holes in the ceiling with wires hanging. Reached out to you yet another time. This time you place us in a room but didn' cover all the expense... parking that wasn' free and the deposit... food lost again ... extra money spent. A inspector for airbnb needs to go out and inspect these homes before every rental... these cleaning fees but the place is still dirty. Sorry Airbnb I can' put myself or my family thru this anymore. Attached is the pictures from the new airbnb from May 5th 2018

“Hi [redacted],
[redacted] here at Airbnb, I hope my message finds you well. I am following up with you regarding your Revdex.com case.
Thank you for your detailed feedback and we're sorry to hear about your experience.
Reviews are designed for our users to share their experience with the community and to assist fellow travelers and hosts in making informed decisions when booking. In order to ensure that reviews are constructive and uphold the spirit if the Airbnb community, we have basic guidelines that apply to all reviews posted on our site.
Guests are not allowed to use reviews as leverage when requesting that their host provide a refund, additional compensation, or a reciprocal positive review. Based on the information we have seen, including the message "... I am sort of hoping that you might see your way to refunding us for (at least) Friday night's rental fee. Perhaps we can 'make a deal' whereby you refund us something and in return I will not post anything on AirBnB about your rental. I hope that is a 'fair compromise'." you sent to your host, it is in our community’s best interest to remove the review you posted as it breaches our policies and standards.
