The problem with Nextdoor is that there isn’t anybody monitoring the content, my opinion is that cyber bullying can take place with easeI politely disagreed with an User that insisted on calling an unnamed person extremely derogatory names When I asked that these people stop the name callingAnd then I was attackedCyber bullying at its bestI was called many derogatory names for asking in a polite way to “please be kind “ I was reported for the most bizarre reasons, one post that was reported for this comment “you’re quite welcome” I was called a narcissist and a trollHow asking people to be respectful in their posts is narcissistic, I will never know This app is dangerous! I guess someone will have to take their life as a result of the bullying before anyone will take actionThis app, operates like teenage children belonging to a clique in which if you are not a part of results in cyber bullying It can and will continue to operate, but, full disclosure should warn potential Users that no support exist if the bullying get out of hand Just the fact the bullying is welcome should cause a potential User pause

The site gives the control of moderating the site to the leads in the neighborhood but does not consult them when actions are done to the neighbors they are overseeingNextdoor is reviewing each claim being made they are automatically siding with whom ever reported to their companyInstead of reviewing each claim and speaking with moderators finding a resolution they are removing people or penalizing them arbitrarily as they see fitThe purpose of this site according to them is to give communities access to their own local information and have their own locals moderate their own personal community as each one is differentAlso according to them, they only step in if there is complaints about the leads not doing their jobWhich this is not happening I don't understand how a company can do this and additionally if you do have a complaint or respond to the complaint they do not follow up Each community has different dynamics and their guidelines do not fit each set of rules dictated by this siteFor example the site says a business owner can not post on a general feed but post on a business feedHowever when the community does not want or have a business feed there is no where to post as per their guidelinesAdditionally, nextdoor subjects each community to ads and solicitations from outside the community businesses to support their site on the general page yet they control who sees local business Lastly, when an individual person posts a businesses local information that many have requested they are barred from the site even though it was explicitly stated they did not own the business it was done at the request of the neighbors in their community
