in accepting and banning people for no reason on the internet those of us that are clients of other organizations are toyed with on a consistent basis, the app is mainly focused on Government and Women and sexism and seem to only collect information about folks and regardless of how a person is treated they simply IGNORE peoples Complaints by not providing any TECH SUPPORT FOR ANYONE that has a problem with there account and then using the excuse that they are based in Australia so they don't have to help anyone breaking many international laws that people in the USA would be in jail for if they did it even tho they claim to be based in California

So, I closed my account on Nextdoo*** todayThere has been some serious issues with Leads playing favorites, threatening members (with physical harm!) via PMs, and playing favoritesAll of this lead me to create a private group on ND so that members had a protected place to discuss issues, problems and praises related to the leads and how they manage the 'neighborhood' (which - funny enough - is EXACTLY what ND says to do in the guidelines if you do have issues with leads and moderation of the neighborhood!)No sooner had the group been created when the threats, abuse, and attacks started rolling in from a certain Lead, followed by a continuous stream of harassment from Nextdoor's so-called "support"That service is spiraling out of control - and it is no wonder that they have such a poor national reputation
The worst social media experience I have ever had, and this is from someone who is on almost all platforms without any issues Nextdoor has a big issue in understanding local issues across the countryAnd the monitoring /deleting based on “unneighborly” or “rude” is a blurry line for Nextdoor to expect neighbors (Leads) to followIt’s a sliding scale of perception My original thought was that a platform such as Nextdoor would have had qualified conflict management personnel monitoring sensitive escalating matters, however that is not the case In our community, and even in City Hall, nextdoor is considered a hostile platform run by heated and bias neighbors There is a support person (considered the final police), and when contacted, your reply comes with a link to their guideline so you can interpret where in the guideline you failed to comply Additionally, the company and their employees are in a different state and time-zone and manage way too many communities The worst part about this forum is the way they determine censorship Our community, which I’m sure is not alone, has a few people that dedicate themselves to reporting posts, especially if the discussion doesn’t favor their position or calls out a deceptive accounting of something They know their way around the famous ‘guideline’; they post many discussions on the same subject with variation of titles, post comments and then remove them as they know they violate guidelines (so the Leads don’t have to), and they initiate discord and create havocNextdoor encourages you to report each other and write each other on personal messaging, but quite frankly, it is way to time consuming, and we are no longer in elementary school having to report each other to the teacher I have reached out to the Founder on twitter and will continue to put out my voice - this is after all a free country and I believe in advocacyCensorship, if the forum so wishes to apply, should only be used with a HIGH LEVEL OF REVIEW (by competent conflict management personnel) and applied to comments that show blatant disrespect or disregard for others, information that can put someone in danger, or false/twisted information (fake news); everything else is a slippery slope and sliding scale of perception
I was harassed my the website manager because of a post I made warning my neighbors about two suspicious men knocking on doors after dark asking for moneyI was targeted because I described the men as Hispanic which tbeh appeared to beI was threatened with action against my account!
I tried to form a NextDoor by drawing a boundary on a neighborhood map My neighbors are not interested NextDoor has contacted people for which I no longer have an address I don't know where they are finding my old acquaintances, but I am hearing complaints on a daily basis I have found the NextDoor Business to be Invasive, and unresponsive to my requests that they cease and desist from this type of marketing

The negative reviews here are actually nice compared to the ones on *** This site has activist leads who ban people without notice and their customer service does not reply I was in the middle of trying to recover a lost cat and also purchase a item from a different neighbor when the account just stopped working This is the second time they have pulled this and according to others is the norm Their reply to your inquiry is a complete lieAs best I can guess, I was banned because I asked a question I asked for clarification of an unfamiliar term from a woman wanting to rent a inexpensive room in a private home for herself and biologic gender unspecified teenager I guess she didn't like the question and complained When I googled the term I found words like transgender, cross dresser and possibly more deviant sexual behaviorSo many people have had very negative experiences with this site that a class action law suite or at least regulation of their business practices seems in order
