Further, my email address was deactivated I am not listed as a member and my original introduction post and neighborhood description have been removed Further, *** *** has been named as a Lead and has taken over
I submitted two support tickets and have had no response I have looked for a customer service contact number and there is none This company domain name contact information is hidden from public view
Nextdoor allows neighborhood "lead" to abuse me and my neighbors with insults publicly and delete posts for no reason Their Help Desk will not respond The phone number above is an answering machine ONLY
I joined ND about months ago after I moved into my new home in KenilworthI heard it was a great site for making new friends in your neighborhoodI was active for about 1/months when I started being bullied by a leadI blocked her and reported her and immediately started receiving messages from other members that the lead was “targeting” and “stalking” me and messages saying not to poke “the bear” or “she’ll make your life hell.” I screenshotted all of this of course as I had blocked her to prevent any additional issues with this personI then reported her for her conduct to ND and received an email that they would look into the issueFast forward a week later and I have been banned from NDI never received any informationNo emails or notifications that I did anything wrongNot even a notification that I was suspended or banned! I just can’t sign in anymoreI have contacted them to let them know that they are being reported for condoning cyber bullying and hatred on their siteI can’t believe I reported being harassed by their employee and they banned me! So, I closed my account on Nextdoo*** todayThere has been some serious issues with Leads playing favorites, threatening members (with physical harm!) via PMs, and playing favoritesAll of this lead me to create a private group on ND so that members had a protected place to discuss issues, problems and praises related to the leads and how they manage the 'neighborhood' (which - funny enough - is EXACTLY what ND says to do in the guidelines if you do have issues with leads and moderation of the neighborhood!)No sooner had the group been created when the threats, abuse, and attacks started rolling in from a certain Lead, followed by a continuous stream of harassment from Nextdoor's so-called "support"That service is spiraling out of control - and it is no wonder that they have such a poor national reputation

This is a problem of inappropriate censorship on the social network site Nextdoor in Houston, TXI had used the site to educate and get support for advocating for healthier and non-glare LED street lights that do not violate the recommendations of the American Medical AssociationAt the time the lighting was being installed, I made quite a few educational posts that generated high interest and help from professionals including a realtor, a lawyer, an engineer and an architectA petition was started at the suggestion of the realtor and hundreds of signatures were gathered from Nextdoor usersDuring this period, there was never any attempt to remove any of the topic postsNextdoor does caution against over posting but gives an example of posting the same topic four times in one day...these posts were never on that levelIt also warns against soapbox issues but only on non-local issuesLighting directly affecting the neighborhoods involved seemed to be an appropriate topic of discu
Misleading advertising Received card in mail from what appeared to be a neighbor First and last name, street name (no street #), subdivision name, city, state, zip Thing is no one with that name lives on that street I had to wonder how many people in the neighborhood fell for the scam
Particularly did not like the use of "Our neighborhood" when it's not Nextdoor.com's neighborhood

The negative reviews here are actually nice compared to the ones on *** This site has activist leads who ban people without notice and their customer service does not reply I was in the middle of trying to recover a lost cat and also purchase a item from a different neighbor when the account just stopped working This is the second time they have pulled this and according to others is the norm Their reply to your inquiry is a complete lieAs best I can guess, I was banned because I asked a question I asked for clarification of an unfamiliar term from a woman wanting to rent a inexpensive room in a private home for herself and biologic gender unspecified teenager I guess she didn't like the question and complained When I googled the term I found words like transgender, cross dresser and possibly more deviant sexual behaviorSo many people have had very negative experiences with this site that a class action law suite or at least regulation of their business practices seems in order
A lot of legitimate posts are deleted at the sole discretion of a LEAD with no explanation given or just that it was posted in the wrong areaThe this site is being bullied by some of the LEADSThis site should be an informative and helpful site but it is not!!!????

I tried to form a NextDoor by drawing a boundary on a neighborhood map My neighbors are not interested NextDoor has contacted people for which I no longer have an address I don't know where they are finding my old acquaintances, but I am hearing complaints on a daily basis I have found the NextDoor Business to be Invasive, and unresponsive to my requests that they cease and desist from this type of marketing
