Dear Mr***, I’m very sorry that you experienced a water leak and electrical damage after we replaced the windshield of your Freightliner Classic XL in December of The water leak was due to the original windshield
gasket that wasn’t replaced during the installationThe rubber gasket had dry-rotted and allowed water to enter the vehicleAs a courtesy, we agreed to install a new windshield and gasket at no cost to youWe also agreed to pay for the electrical damages We were contacted on August 1, about the electrical issuesThe shop you chose to do the electrical work would not provide an estimate of the damages until the windshield was replaced, which caused an initial delay of days as the replacement occurred on August 5, The second delay occurred when the shop you chose to do the repair work was closed down for vacation until August 9, We then received the estimate of repairsThe original estimated date of completion was August 13, The shop you chose took over a week longer than expected to complete the work and you were able to pick up your truck on August 22, This delay was in no part due to anything Safelite did or didn’t do. Regarding the truck’s down time, you requested that we compensate you for week and we agreed to that in the amount of $We did not and will not agree to pay for an additional week of down timeThe second week of down time was due to the repair shop taking more time than initially stated to compete the work

Dear Mr***, I'm very sorry to hear about the roof molding coming off and the peeling paint on the roof of your White Honda Pilot. As a courtesy, we have already replaced the roof molding for youWhen the store manager and the quality manager looked at the paint, it was
determined that this wasn't caused by our installationThe peeling paint wasn't a result of scratches along the roof lineUpon inspection there were a couple dents in the area that were likely caused by rocksIn addition, I located multiple complaints from owners of white Honda Pilots that have had the same issue with peeling paint on the roof. Safelite is not will to compensate for time away from work to my vehicle from this place to that place and all the inconvenience it has cause from this issueI ask that Safelite allow the company that the dealership provides to install the windshield, and that Safelite cover the costThere is no documentation that suggest that the windshield is not the source of the leak along with the video proof Safelite has that indicated the leakage from the WindshieldI am not looking to work any counter deals because the source of the leak from documentations diagnoses and video is the windshield and that the final conclusionI'm sorry that with over years of experience you all have not been able to understand the leak but with all the diagnoses and the technician being a the dealership and they performing a live test where they showed the leakageI don't want to continue the run around circles gamePlease advise if you going to work with me or should I seek legal counselThank you for your time and assistance

I am rejecting this response because: back in October when I took my Pickup to Safelite in North Richland hill, the station manager admitted Safelite had done a very poor repair, chip looked worth and glue had not penetrated the entire chip (less than 1/inch in diameter).The only party that is rewarded by their poor performances is Safelite, if I allowed them to replace the entire windshield and assume insurance rate increaseThe work Safelite did for me on my other car months ago was far superiorInternet reviews on Safelite's performance is extremely badSafelite purposely performed a bad job so they can profit by replacing the emote windshieldCrack on my windshield is already wideningShame on you SafeliteAccept responsibility and replace windshield at your costI promise, this mater will not go away

explained our policy on rust and why we couldn’t complete the job.According to the technician and the store manager, the amount of body rust was more than what we consider to be safe to replace the windshield without repairs by a body shopSafelite will not knowingly perform an installation that we believe to be unsafeIf there is rust in the pinchweld and installation area the urethane that holds the windshield in place will not adhere properly to the rusted metalIf the rust issue isn’t addressed properly, the rusting will continue to progressThe likelihood of water leaks will increase and the seal around the windshield may fail if it has nothing solid to adhere to.Regarding the hardware, the technician and store manager advised that the technician didn’t take any hardware with himAs far as the inspection sticker, they can’t be transferred from the damaged windshield to the new windshield so you would need to replace that even if it was on the discarded broken windshield.Again, I regret that we weren’t able to safely replace your windshieldWe don’t have any hardware or any other property that belongs to youTherefore, we have nothing to return to you
