AM Home Delivery & Trucking Reviews (124)

Review: This company delivered a dishwasher to my home. The delivery person broke tiles in my kitchen while delivering the unit. I've attempted many many times to get ahold of this company's claims department via email and phone with no response. Their claims phone system goes to a recording saying their mailbox is full and hangs up. When I finally got a hold of one of their truck dispatchers they told me to send an email to [redacted] and that he would handle it. I have done this and had no responseDesired Settlement: I expect the company to cover the expense of repairing the tile that their employee damaged.

Response:

Our insurance only covers damages that were notated on the Bill of Lading. Since you didnt notate anything on the Bill of Lading, our insurance rejects these claims.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Review: AM Trucking delivered a new washer/dryer to me June **. They did not install the cold water hose properly, and I noticed water damage after a few weeks. The appliance company, Bosch, re-attached the hose and I have had no leaks since. I contacted AM Trucking and got an auto-reply stating what I would need to submit for my claim, that it would take up to 30 days. I collected all the info and gave them: tracking number of delivery, photos of damage, 2 estimates for repair, letter explaining what happened, receipt from Bosch for repair. This was done in July. I heard nothing. Submitted the claim again Aug **. Heard nothing. Contacted Jamie Blecher Oct. ** who said he'd take care of it. I resent him all the supporting documents. Heard nothing. Contacted Jamie again Dec *. Heard from Moshe Felberbaum Dec * who said he was missing information. Said my statement about damage needed to be NOTARIZED, which was never in original instructions. Said my claim should have been reported within 7 DAYS. But it took a couple of weeks for me to see the water damage after using the washing machine. It was a slow leak. Wrote Felberbaum back asking why he's changing the conditions and rules. Heard nothing. Contacted the dealer who got in touch with a Matt Sher at AM Trucking Dec *. He told Felberbaum to resolve issue. Nothing happened. Contacted Matt again today who circled me back to Felberbaum who does not reply. This is clearly a bad company. They're clearly doing this to avoid paying the claim. I had the damage repaired and it came to $326.63. Can you please help me get reimbursed for the damage incurred by AM Trucking's incompetent installers? What a bunch of creeps.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded the $326.63 I spent on fixing the damage incurred by AM Trucking.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Hello, Good news. I finally received my claim check from AM Trucking, a mere 4 months after I filed my claim. I cashed it and all is well. Thank you for your help, though. I really appreciate how quickly you responded. I would like to write a review on this company on your website. They're not good people. Regards, [redacted]

Review: I purchased a table and chairs set from [redacted] (ironically because they say they're Revdex.com accredited), without knowing that they use this carrier...AM Trucking...which I now see is not only not itself Revdex.com accredited but, in fact, has an F rating from you. In my experience, it should.

I received an email from [redacted] saying my order was shipped out on 10-**-14 and I could track my order with their [redacted] which I did. It showed that it was in transit from California to NY on 10-**-14. This site showed this same unchanged information on 10-**-14 and I thought something wasn't right. I called their number for tracking orders, and after listening to music for 15 min. someone answered and said my order had just been received and they hadn't shipped it out yet. I then called [redacted] and was told that it WAS shipped and I should expect it any day.

It is now 10-**-14 and I once again sat on the phone for over 20 min. listening to AM Trucking's music while nobody picked up. I then called [redacted] back and even they couldn't get through to AM Trucking...also just got music. They said they'd get to the bottom of this. Now I received a call from [redacted] saying that AM Trucking said that I won't receive my delivery for at least another week or two, because they wanted to "package my fragile materials carefully." Are they kidding?!!Desired Settlement: SimpleStore.com should not have a satisfactory Revdex.com rating if they choose to use this unprofessional carrier.

Review: I had a delivery from this company on Friday 8/**. An Electrolux Washer and Dryer were ordered from AJ Madison with an order number of [redacted]. I ordered this particular set because it was stackable and full-size. While there was room in the laundry area for them to be side-by-side, I wanted to stack them so that I could use the other area for a shelving unit. I also purchased the stacking kit.

Upon arrival, their employees looked at the area and said that there was sufficient space for them to be side-by-side. I told them I was aware of this, but was wanting them to be stacked so that I could use the other space for a shelving unit. He insisted that shelving would be better above the units as opposed to on the side. I reiterated that I would like them to be stacked. This exchange went on for several minutes, going back and forth. My husband said, why don't we see what they look like side-by-side and then have them stack them if we want them to. I'm not sure why it mattered to the delivery guys (possibly laziness) where I put my shelving unit, but he seemed to have a very strong opinion on this.

My husband and I went in the kitchen so that we wouldn't be in the way and went back to check on them and they said, we're done. The units were side-by-side. I said, I still want them to be stacked. The employee said he didn't have a long enough hose with him to stack the units. I said, then I understand that you couldn't hook them up, but would you please stack them just so I can see it as I think it'll be more convenient to have storage on the side than above them and being so high. He said, you can just step up on the ledge where the washer and dryer sit. (This ledge is about 2 inches wide). I told him that wasn't much room as a step. He said he had already glued the hose, so he wouldn't be able to move them now. I said, well I guess I get no choice in the matter then and we'll have to leave them where they are.

He said, is there anything else? I said, yes could you please at least make the units even with one another and space them correctly on the wall? (They were just going to leave them as they were!) So, they evened them out.

We paid them. We even TIPPED them. They went to get in their truck. My husband and I went back and looked at the units and the dryer was not sitting level on the floor. My husband went back out and got the guys and asked them to level out the units. They did this and left. We went back there again and looked and when they moved the dryer to level the legs, they chipped our grout and scratched our tile! There were chunks of grout laying on the floor. The guys were already gone at that point.

All in all, the experience was not satisfactory, to say the least. They didn't do what I asked them to do and they damaged our floor. As I said, the ONLY reason I bought this unit was because it was full-size stackable. There are tons of other options if you want to go side-by-side and for A LOT less money.Desired Settlement: I feel the business has a responsibility to come to my house and stack the units and hire a tile company to fix both the grout and scratched tile OR reimbursement on delivery charges.

Review: I ordered two appliances on 11/**/2014 from the Appliance Connection online, a stove top and a dishwasher. I also purchased delivery and installation. The total price has been charged to my credit card. I was first promised delivery on 12/**/2014. I have called numerous times to check the status of my delivery. The AM Trucking company has scheduled delivery for 3 different days between the hours of 3 -7 and has not arrived. I have my entire kitchen torn apart ready for the appliances to be installed. I called the AM trucking company at 7:10 pm, today, 1/**/2015. The woman said that the delivery men are in Pittsburgh and they will deliver my appliances next. I am afraid to let them in the house this late and after reading online customer reviews of AM Trucking, there are many complaints and poor reviews. I am contacting my credit card company to notify them of this shady company. I want a full refund.Desired Settlement: $1470.82 refunded to my credit card.

Review: AMTrucking delivered a refrigerator to my house on December **, 2012, they delivery crew did some damaged to my wood floors and the front entrance custom made door. I noted the damages on the delivery slip and forward it to the claims department, I received this response. and went ahead and got quotes for the floors and door, after dozens of e-mails and phone calls, they finally sent "[redacted]" on July of 2013, to check on the damaged, [redacted] told me that they were going to get back with me to schedule the repairs. To this date I have not received a phone call and the floors and the door remains with the damages they left behind since December. There is not a courtesy of a phone call, they do not respond to e-mails, when I call the customer service department they cannot help, they cannot direct my calls to anyone else but [redacted], who does not respond to any calls or correspondence. It seems that this is a ghost company, which claims "white glove service" From: [redacted] [mailto:[redacted]] Sent: Tuesday, December **, 2012 9:53 AM To: [redacted] Subject: Fwd: FW: filing a claim BOL # [redacted] - 2nd request To whom it may concern, We are sorry to hear about how your delivery had gone. Please give a precises description of how everything transpired and please send as many pictures as possible and i'll get the claim process started for you. Please let me know should you have any questions. Sincerely, Claims Dept, [redacted]Desired Settlement: Would like to have the damages being repair to my satisfaction, wood floors and front entrance door.

Sincerely,

Review: My order was placed on 03/**/15.

According to the company I purchased the item from, I was supposed to receive it between 04/**/15 and 04/**/15.

It is now 04/**/15, and I have still not received my order nor any explanation as to why it has not been delivered.

I have tried to contact the shipping/trucking company multiple times and have had a generic response that it is "on its way". No details as to when it will be delivered....Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the items I did not receive as well as a refund for the shipping I paid.

Review: Hello, My name is ##### , I had a delivery scheduled for 7/**/13, date of potential delivery found on your website. Pronumber: [redacted] Ship Date: 07/**/13 Bill of Lading #: [redacted] Ship From: [redacted] Deliver To: [redacted] Unfortunately, today is 7/**/13, and I have never received my delivery. Usually when a delivery is planned, the company calls 24 hours ahead to confirm delivery; however this was not done. In addition, on Tuesday, 7/**/13 I called your office, I was given a Boston number (###-###-####) to call to track down my own delivery, and I was unsuccessful. No one has called me on Tuesday either. I left a total of 4 voicemails (between yesterday and today) asking for someone to call me today, and to no avail. I finally was able to reach a person (female, did not introduce herself) today on 7/**/13 around 10:30 am, and brought up the issue to her attention. Her answer was rude, belligerent, and at times incoherent. I was not even able to finish a sentence to tell her my concern, when I was basically told to deal with it. When I finally explained to her that the delivery which I was expecting on 7/**/13 between 2-6 pm never arrived she answered quickly "the truck broke down, what do you want from me". I replied that no one called me on Monday to inform me about the delivery and no one called me on Tuesday to let me know that the delivery will not be completed. Again, she made a rude remark at which point she said that she does not have any trucks that would be coming to [redacted] to deliver my order. When I said that I could have someone else call on my behalf to deal with the issue she basically stated that they will attempt a delivery on Friday 7/**/13 between the hours 2 and 6 pm and I can do whatever I would want, and hung up the phone. I have never been treated so disrespectfully and rude by anyone prior. The Boston office should be evaluated, and the person in question should be given customer service mandatory classes. At this point I just want to make the issue known and ensure that the delivery will take place. Thank you. Sincerely, ####.Desired Settlement: Boston Office evaluation, delivery of my product.

Response:

I see what you wrote. I just called the Boston office, they said that they are going to call you right now. They are going to be delivering this on Tuesday 7/** between 12-4PM.

We apologize for the inconvenience, the truck did break down and we had to reschedule. Thanks for your understanding.

Review: I recieved a phone call from the company stating my appliances woudl be delivered on 03/**/2015. I immediatedly recieved an email stating they would be delivered 03/**/2015. I sent a reply email to clarify what date and was again given 03/**/2015. While attending my grand mothers funeral on 03/**/2015, I received numerous calls from AM Trucking, stating the drivers where at my home to deliver. When I informed the caller the delivery was not scheduled until 03/**/2015; they stated they would not wait for me to arrive, but would have to reschedule my delivery.

I then received an email on 04/**/2015 that my delivery was scheduled for 04/**/2015 between 3:00 and 7:00 pm. When the driver had not arrived by 6:30 pm, I called the company. The CSR instructed me that the driver was in [redacted] and should be arriving at my home soon. They did not show again. When I called back at 8:00pm, there was no one to accept my call.

On 04/**/2015 at 8:40 AM the driver arrived to my home, no phone call or advanced noticed. I happened to be off of work that day. Normally no one would have been home.

They preceeded to unload my appliances in the pooring rain. The Freezer I had purchased was badly damaged. The stove had a huge scuff mark across the bottom drawer.

The driver took the upright freezer back with him to return. I contacted the company I purchased them from with the information ([redacted]). Now the company I purchased the appliances from can not give me a refund for the freezer until AM Trucking returns the freezer to them.

This is the most unprofessional company that I have ever dealt with.Desired Settlement: I would like a reprimand to be placed again AM Trucking with a negative statement from the Revdex.com.

I would also like a full refund for the freezer.

Review: AM Home Delivery was to delivery furniture I ordered from [redacted]. On 3/**/2015 the day before my delivery I received a phone call to confirm my delivery for 3/**/2015, I told the person that called that I live in a condominium and that the delivery men had to bring their certificate of insurance. I was then told that he would tell his boss and get back to me, I never heard back and the next day 3/**/2015 the delivery man called and said that he would be at my home in 1/2 hour, I asked him if he had his insurace certificate and he said no and that I needed to call his boss at AM Home Delivery. When I called I spoke to someone named [redacted] and he told me that I would have to pay $125.00 for the insurance for them to deliver the furniture to my building. I then told him that is not how it works and that the delivery company is supposed to be insured in case they do any damage to the elevator upon delivery, I also told him that I have been buying furniture for years and this was the first time I had had ever been told that I the purchaser would have to pay for a delivery services insurance. [redacted] then implied that I was lying by saying "that everyone says this because they don't want to pay". The company that I brought the furniture from garunteed "Free White Glove Delivery" which I couldn't get because AM Delivery does not carry an insurance certificate so they could not deliver the furniture to my apartment, I had to take curb side delivery. I called the company that I purchased the furniture from [redacted]. And they said that this was not true that the delivery company is supposed to have the delivery men carry their insurance certificate and that the person that I was speaking to was trying to scam me for $125.00.Desired Settlement: I have had to reorder the dresser as the one that was delivered was damaged in shipping, when the new order comes I would like them to give me the "White Glove Delivery" that I did not receive and I would like them to make sure that they bring their insurance certificate to show the condominium office upon delivery. My husband and I would also like an apology for being called liers by their representative "[redacted]" at AM Home Delivery.

The tracking number given to my delivery is [redacted].

We just had 3 appliances finally delivered, the delivery guys were fine, but the dispatcher and the customer service representatives at A M home delivery have a lot to be desired. They were not pleasant to deal with.

Review: We purchased a sofa from [redacted]. The sofa was delivered by AM Home Delivery. AM home Delivery did not give us the opportunity to inspect the merchandise and left without getting us to sign anything. The sofa was damaged upon inspection and [redacted] was contacted. They provided us with a Proof of Delivery that was signed stating the sofa was received free and clear of any damage. However, the signature is not ours and was not signed by anyone at our house upon delivery. [redacted] is not willing to pay for the return shipping of the sofa because of the signed Proof of Delivery.Desired Settlement: Sofa returned to [redacted] or a a refund for the amount it will cost to have the sofa returned to [redacted].

Review: On November [redacted] I placed an order for a number of kitchen appliances with [redacted] of Brooklyn, NY. [redacted] informed me that delivery would be handled by AM Delivery of Brooklyn, NY.

PRIOR TO DELIVERY

I have in my possession an electronic message thread that took place prior to delivery, and that documents an exchange between myself and [redacted] relating to one of the appliances ordered, a Verona range hood. After ordering the appliances, we realized that we would be unable to use the hood since it was designed for use under a cabinet, and not in an island as we have planned for our kitchen remodel. [redacted] instructed me to refuse the hood and that they would process the refund.

DAY OF DELIVERY: DECEMBER **, 2014

The AM Delivery employees arrived on December [redacted] One of them introduced themselves to me and all of my interactions were with this individual. I will refer to him as AM1 and the other person as AM2. Before anything was unloaded from the truck, and pursuant to the instructions from [redacted], I informed AM1 that the hood had been ordered in error and that I was refusing delivery. He said to me "Are you refusing delivery?" I replied "Yes". He nodded his understanding and proceeded to unload the other items along with AM2.

I did not solicit, nor did I receive, written assurance that my refusal was understood or would be acted upon.

THE [redacted]-SHIPPED RANGE POWER CORD

AM Delivery have pointed to the fact that I committed my signature to a Proof of Delivery (POD) as evidence that the hood was delivered and the delivery transaction was complete. I will now present evidence that calls into question the reliability of the signed POD, and that proves that AM Delivery did not in fact consider the transaction complete on December [redacted]

The range power cord I had ordered on November [redacted] was not delivered into my possession on December [redacted] I subsequently received a package from AM Delivery, shipped via [redacted], that contained the power cord for the range. Therefore, despite having in their possession a signed POD stating that the cord was delivered, AM Delivery subsequently shipped a range cord to me via [redacted]. Using the logic that they applied in the case of the hood, if the signed POD was sufficient to satisfy them that the power cord was delivered, why did AM Delivery send a cord via [redacted] at a later date? I submit that this act constitutes a tacit admission on their part that the power cord stated on the POD was not in fact delivered. I further submit that their shipping of a power cord via [redacted] after ostensible prior delivery of a power cord strips the POD of any standing as an accurate record of the events that took place at my residence on December [redacted], 2014.

THE HOOD

I never saw the hood, so I have no way of knowing if was even on the truck to begin with. If it was, the two AM Delivery employees left my residence with it in their possession. AM Delivery have informed me that neither AM1 nor AM2 reported my refusal to their managers. AM Delivery management represent that they have been unable to locate the hood in their warehouse and deny any knowledge of its whereabouts. I will refrain from speculating either upon what happened to it, or upon why my refusal was not reported to AM Delivery management by the drivers.

CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS

Since [redacted] have not received the returned hood they are withholding a refund on the hood. I am therefore $749 out of pocket.

AM Delivery's employees (AM1 and AM2), by saying I did not refuse the hood have, either wilfully or through neglect, categorically misrepresented their interactions with me on December **, 2014.Desired Settlement: Since it never left their possession, I want AM Delivery to assume responsibility for the loss of the hood and to make [redacted] aware of this fact. This will clear the way for me to seek a full refund on the purchase of the hood from [redacted].

Review: AM Home Delivery delivered a GE range (new in a box) to my home on September **, 2014. The 2 delivery men forced the range in the box through my 30 inch door opening. The box was larger than the opening and in the process they scraped paint off down to bare wood in places and gouged the trim with the dolly they were using. I showed the delivery men the damages and was told to call the company and they would take care of the damage. I called the number and was advised to file a claim which I did on October **, 2014. As instructed, I submitted a signed letter stating how the damage occurred, 2 estimates of repair costs (both around $350), and at least 12 photographs of the damages. I was advised in their email not to call until 30 days had passed (they did not provide a telephone number to call). On November **, 2014, I forwarded my October **, 2014 email asking about the status of my claim since it was beyond the 30 day window. I got back an automated reply advising on how to file a claim. I replied to the automated email telling them I had already filed a claim and wanted to know the status. They did not respond to that email. I tried to call the phone number in [redacted] and the options indicated on the phone did not apply to customer claims. I am quite frustrated and disappointed in the services provided by AM Trucking.Desired Settlement: I would like for these people to send me a check for the lowest bid I sent to them which was $344 ( the other was $345) so I can get the damage repaired before Christmas.

BUYER BEWARE. One of the worst customer experiences across any company interaction I've had. The shipping time was outrageously long (7 weeks for a single domestic package), they were no shows to two delivery appointments mid-week that required time off work, and their customer service team was terrible.

Surprised they can still be in business. Avoid at all costs.

Review: I ordered a love seat and couch in the first week of April 2015. It is now May ** and I still have not received my furniture. They had called last week stating it would be delivered on the [redacted] between 1 and 5PM. They called at 4:30PM to tell me they would not be able to deliver until next week around Tuesday. It has been well over a month and I have yet to receive my furniture. I have tracked my furniture through their online tracking and it says its still in [redacted]. I live in [redacted]!Desired Settlement: I would like my merchandise delivered with some type of billing adjustment for waiting over a month for my furniture to be delivered.

My experience was really GREAT. The Fellows had trouble with their truck and still made my delivery. They kept in contact with me and knew what they were doing!

Review: I ordered a TV and was provided by the seller with a tracking number from AM Home Delivery. Their tracking number showed that the TV was picked up on Friday 11/** and no estimated arrival time. Elsewhere on their site I found that delivery to my area takes about *-10 business days. I called AM Home Delivery and asked for an estimated delivery date so I could make sure someone was home - I was told that it would arrive around early in the week of 12/* - which I took to mean either Monday 12/* or Tuesday 12/*.

I kept checking their site for updates, and the site was updated on Monday 12/* to show that the estimated day of delivery was Thursday 12/* which later in the day was changed to Friday 12/*. Then on the morning of Wednesday 12/* the delivery date was changed to 12/*. Their site says that they give at least ** hours notice before delivery - I had received no phone call or any other notice. I called AM Home Delivery again to inquire about the shipment. I was told that the shipment was still en route and would arrive later that week - which I understood to mean Friday 12/*.

By Friday of 12/* I hadn't received any notification and the tracking info on their website hadn't been updated. I tried calling their number again - and was unable to reach anyone. I was in their phone queue for over *0 minutes - during which I kept being "moved" forward in the queue - getting to "one person ahead of you" and then 2 minutes later being kicked back to "four people ahead of you". After over *0 minutes of this, I was transferred to their voicemail box.

On Monday 12/* I had yet to hear from them about scheduling a delivery, so tried calling their number again - and got the same treatment - over ** minutes on the call being kicked up and down their phone queue before being transferred to voicemail.

I had also tried emailing them at [redacted] - but received no response.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a timely delivery of my item and a refund to me of the shipping cost.

Review: The problem is the disrespect I endured during a call to find out why my product wasn't delivered on the given (esd). The male customer service rep that I spoke to got instantly irritated because I asked what happened to the mid week delivery I was promised. I had a previous delivery issue and was promised a mid week delivery for the following week. The item was suppose to be here in one week and it is now 2wks later. So, I asked why wasn't I contacted about the problem, the CS said Sir(in a loud voice to shut me up) do you want the Delivery tomorrow or not, my response ws, I've paid for the TV aleeady, so what are you saying I want get it if I don't stop asking you questions. I then told him to put me on the phone with a supervisor and he hung up on me. Horrible Customer Service. I was actually threatened that my product wouldn't be delivered the next day if I didn't stop asking questions.Desired Settlement: I would like for a supervisor to contact me to apologize and I would like for my product to be delivered. I also should not have to pay for this delivery. It's been 2wks and I was threatened with a non delivery of a high dollar item that I've paid for. I pushed back a business flight to wait on this delivery thats not here.

I received my product on 4-**-2015, and at this point I am ok. I just wanted it to noted on the treatment I received as a customer, that is and was not warranted. I will not recommend any one to deal with this company ever in life. Thanks for your speedy response to my issue and concern. If I had loooked this company up on your website, I could have saved myself some heart ache and pain. They have a ridiculous amount of complaints. Thanks again!!

Review: Am trucking delivered a sofa set to me and I rejected it by not signing the bill of lading because it was not not what the seller claimed it was. The seller claimed it was 100% full Italian leather but it was not after carefully examining the set just like the seller required me to do. The driver however refused to take them back with the excuse that he needed to speak with someone in their office first. This was around 6am EST.

Am trucking called me and scheduled a pick up for Monday August **, 2015. They showed up at 6 am but couldn't pick up the furniture because they had no room in the truck for all 3 furniture pieces.

I called them today and to my surprise I was told the seller asked them not to pick it up.Desired Settlement: I need AM Trucking to come back and pick up the furniture back to Prime Classic Design. It will then be up to me and the seller to take it from there.

Am trucking has actually abandoned the furniture in my house and I have no room for them . No one signed to acknowledge receipt of the merchandise and also I have every right to return the merchandise back to the seller.

The seller has charged my card without my authorization which I have filed another complaint for that.
