Review: I purchased three tickets in November for the wildfire mens conference for march. Which was the rescheduled for June and in April it was completely cancelled. It has been 5 moths since it was cancelled and I have yet to receive a refund and when we call we get no where.Desired Settlement: I want a refund ASAP, now. 5 months has been long enough and I have been patient for 5 months. It is ridiculous now.

Regards,

Review: I purchased tickets to the 2014 Wildfire Weekend on May 20, 2014, only to receive an email on June 9, 2014, that the event was cancelled and I would receive a full refund. While I was upset about the event being cancelled 11 days prior to commencement, I'm more disgusted that it's been nearly 2 years of my badgering the organization for my refund to no avail. I've called monthly and sent email inquiries only to be told "we're working on it," and that a check would be mailed. I even called with my new debit card information in case the refund would be electronically sent, to which I was told the information was not necessary because a check would be issued. I called when I moved and provided my new address, but I have not received anything. It was my most recent phone inquiry on Tuesday April 5, 2016, that I learned that Wildfire Weekend is not in existence and AACC is "trying" to refund the money but they have their own bills to pay. I find it upsetting that they were quick to sell me these tickets but can't refund them in 2 years.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a check for my refund of $198.50 for the tickets I purchased; sent to my current address (in this complaint form)

Business

Response:

Review: The American Association of Christian Counselors hosted a Wildfire Weekend Conference in [redacted] which was scheduled for April 25-26 2014. I purchased a ticket on March 28, 2014. Soon after, the conference was cancelled. I was told through the conference website that I would receive a refund shortly after. It has been well over a year and I have not received a refund yet. I have contacted the company and was told my name would be placed on a list and that checks were being mailed out. That was over a month ago and I have still not received anything. As a Christian organization, this is a very poor policy and I am not pleased with the process at all. I would like my refund for $50.50 from order #[redacted]. I will make sure I never sign up for a conference through this organization again to avoid this happening in the future.

Review: I bought (4) tickets for the Men's Wildfire Weekend event in [redacted]. The event was supposed to be in June of 2014 but it was cancelled because of the low registration numbers. I was either told that it is in the process or no response at all. It has now been over a year and I am out $262.00. Review: On April 22nd, 2014 I purchased event tickets and meal tickets online for the Tampa 2014 Wildfire Weekend to be held on June 20th 2014. The order # is [redacted] with a total cost of $730. On June 9th, 2014 I received an email advising that the event had been canceled, and refunds would be issued over the next 180 days. This was distressing, but I did wait until November 2014 to make my first call to AACC to see when I could expect my refund. They advised that it would probably be another couple weeks. That time period came and went. I called again on 12/8, and was told that all checks would be processed and mailed before the end of the year. That promise was never fulfilled. I called again on 1/2/2015, and was again told that it would be several more weeks. I went to my bank to try to process a dispute, but they said action has to be taken within 60 days of the transaction. I called again on 1/22/2015 and they said checks are going out every day. I asked for a call back from a [redacted] (the name they gave me), but that has not happened. I asked for a call back every time I called. Never got a call back. I did an Internet search to see if others had the same problem and discovered there is a [redacted] page dedicated to those with the same problem. The only ones that said they received a refund were those who made a complaint through the Revdex.com. Please help me get my $730 refund. Thank you.Desired Settlement: To get my $730 refund check (a valid one) as quickly as possible.

Review: I registered for 14 of our Men to attend the 2014 Conference in [redacted] We were disappointed when the Conference was rescheduled from April to June, 2014, as a lot or guys had looked forward to the April Conference, but at least we had the June rescheduled date, that is until the week before that date was cancelled. I have followed up with the American Association of Christian Counciling as to the refund three times. The second time I was advised an Accountant would be contacting me, never heard from anyone. Review: I purchased tickets on April 11, 2013 to the Wildfire Conference in [redacted]. This is put on by the American Association of Christian Counselors. The conference was canceled. I spent $151 on tickets for myself and my son. When the conference was canceled we were told that we would be refunded our money within 180 from the date of purchase. I have called the American Association of Christian Counselors three times within the past few months. The first two times I was told I would receive the money within 10 days. I, however, never received it. The third time I called I was told they have no idea why I haven't received it and for some reason they are really behind. It has been over 9 months since we paid for the conference. That should be plenty of time to issue a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $151 that I paid for a service I never received.
