American Financial Network Inc Reviews (169)

My wife and I have been working with American Financial Network since April, in an effort to obtain a VA loan to purchase a homeWe sent in our original paperwork i.e tax records, bank records, pay stubs for the first time in May, In July we had received another request for the same records and to expect the records to be ready to go to the underwriter within the next few weeksWe met with our seller in the second or third week of July and had him sign his portion of the paperworkI asked our lender several times regarding the Certificate of Eligibility for the VA loan and I was led to believe they had already obtained thisShe notified us that we were ready for the Appraisal and to expect the call on August or at the latestWhen we still had not heard anything by August 7, we notified Ann and she stated she would give them a callAnother week went by without a call Ann was notified and we were told they would be calling againI believe it was a couple of weeks la

I was a little nervous about going through the process - especially by myself, but from the first conversation I had with Basil L*** until the Closing was complete, I felt very comfortableBasil took time to explain everything step-by-step so there were no mysteries and no surprisesI still can't believe how smoothly every went from start to finishI would recommend Basil without hesitation

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and concerns. We at American Financial Network, Inc(“AFN “) are always eager to know when something is not right, and we welcome the opportunity to respondWe wish to express our sincerest sympathies for any frustration or inconvenience
arising from your loan application with us. We investigated your allegations, and discovered that you decided to not move forward with your loan application (with AFN) at some point in early August, and applied with another lender. Your loan file with AFN was thus closed, and was no longer processed after early August. The seller, according to our investigation, decided to not move forward with the purchase contract in mid-October, while you were working with another lender (resulting in your lost deposit) Please understand that AFN was not involved with the loan application you submitted to the other lender, and was thus not involved, nor had anything to do, with any issues ultimately resulting in your lost deposit Although you were in communication with Mr*** when working with the other lender, Mr*** was not your loan originator at that time. Further, Mr*** was communicating with you from his personal email account only after you decided to work with another lender (not during the period of your loan application with AFN). We have discussed this with him, and will take appropriate measures with respect to training and disciplinary actions. Although we are uncertain of what transpired with the other lender, it would seem that they are a more appropriate entity with respect to discussing lost deposits and costs. In summary, it is clear from our investigation that your complaint specifically involves actions occurring during the months of August through October, and you were not working with AFN at this time. As such, AFN does not believe that this complaint is directed toward the proper entity. Once again, please accept our sincerest sympathies for any difficulties you experienced with this transactionThank you,

I was referred to Genelle C** by a Realtor in my area and I was extremely impressed with my experienceI was always able to ask her anything anytimeShe made this a very easy and process with her knowledge and professionalismI would recommend her to EVERYONE!

American financial network does not give anyone with a pulse a home loan, my husband and I both have a pulse, yet we were treated with little disregard to Our situation, one that is unique to usOur agent Justin did not bother to get to know us our situation or even our scores (I found out he didn't know our scores today) how can u possibly help someone when you don't even know what the heck is going on, just one more company claiming they can help by wasting your time and picking and choosing the easiest loans to makeI have read previous reviews and seen our situation wasn't and isn't worse than some others we just didn't receive the luck of the draw by getting an agent that really wanted to helpI sent an email before wasting my time, gave a brief synopsis and I said can you help and Angelo C*** said yes we definitely canWell no, you definitely didn't

Russell Henry is as excellent and patient loan brokerHe provided a clear explanation for each action and expense during this potentially confusing processI highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a homeI have already provided his name to friends in the market for a home
