arising from the advertising you received. AFN is committed to 100% compliance with all its advertising, and takes every allegation of wrongdoing seriously. We have contacted the specific branch and loan officer responsible for the advertising, and discussed your complaint with them. If possible, please forward the marketing piece associated with your complaint to [redacted]. This will allow us to verify the alleged statements made on the advertising, which will in turn result in our taking appropriate action against all parties involved. AFN cannot stress enough that it takes allegations of inappropriate advertising seriously, and does not promote or condone advertising that does not provide accurate information regarding our loan products. Once again, AFN would like to express its sincerest sympathies for any frustration or anxiety arising from this incident, and we hope that our actions will provide a satisfactory resolution.Thank you,

I apologize for the inconvenience. I will be investigating the matter further and will ensure the consumer is not being contacted by American Financial Network, Inc. Respectfully, [redacted], Esq.

I'm glad I answered your postcard in the mail and did my reverse mortgage with you.
Thank you for your response. American Financial Network, Inc. ("AFN") is not merging or in any way involved with the lender that handled your loan application ("[redacted]"). If [redacted] made any such claims, please forward them to us at your earliest convenience (including claims from processors, [redacted] loan originators, etc). They must have provided disclosures and other information early on in the application process indicating their identity, and it should have been clear - especially to your Realtor - that [redacted] was in no way connected with AFN. You and your Realtor can verify that AFN is not connected to [redacted] by checking nmlsconosumeraccess.org - AFN's ID# is [redacted], and [redacted] Mortgage Corp's ID is [redacted] We have discussed your allegations with Mr. [redacted], and he denies making any statements regarding a merger or upcoming merger with [redacted]. If you or your Realtor have any evidence of Mr. [redacted] (or others) making these claims, please forward to AFN at your earliest convenience. It seems that you are aware that [redacted] was the lender handling your most recent loan application, and as mentioned in our prior response, they seem to be an more appropriate party to contact regarding your concerns (since they were handling the transaction you are complaining about). Thank you,

[redacted] I was told that via phone call & my realtor was also told by Mr.[redacted] that AFC was merging with [redacted] Mortgage and that is why he was involved. You may contact my realtor to verify this info. his name is [redacted] and his number is [redacted]
Dear Mr. [redacted]:Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and concerns. We at American Financial Network, Inc. slow service with respect to your application for a residential mortgage. Our investigation revealed that there were difficulties with obtaining required documents from you. These documents were necessary to process your loan, and the lack of these documents prevented further processing of your loan. From our understanding, we are still missing documents, which is why the application was never completed and ultimately closed.Although our findings show that you failed to provide proper documentation necessary to fully process the loan, we still want to make things right for you. As such, we are happy to offer a good-faith courtesy refund of $450.00. We hope that this will alleviate some of the frustration and anxiety related to this issue. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss
Borrower's first payment was due to AFN in December. Borrower signed the Note and First Payment Letter acknowledging her understanding that her first installment was due to AFN in December. Borrower then received a bill from [redacted] (the investor who AFN sold the loan to)...
for January payment. [redacted] told Borrower she was ahead of her payment schedule, so she could either have a free month or just stay ahead. [redacted] should not have told Borrower this, as Borrower was in fact not ahead of her payment. As of today, Borrower is still in arrears and owes AFN for her first payment, as outlined in the Note and First Payment Letter she signed. As AFN never told Borrower she was relieved from making her first payment to AFN, Borrower will need to pay the amount in arrears to AFN, or work with [redacted] to have [redacted] cover the cost since they were responsible for providing the Borrower with the inaccurate information. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Thank you. Respectfully, [redacted], Esq.Corporate Counsel
