Complaint: ***I am both accepting and rejecting their "apology." What I said initially stands, they are not out in the openTheir offer should clearly state that if you keep the coin, you will be billed for itThe problem people have with this company is the method they use to lure you inI should not have to check the fine print on the back of some form to realizeI am being billed for the coinIt is both misleading and deceptive. For preview? Yes, that is what *** Coin Company does, but the difference is, you know that is what they are doingAmerican Mint disguises thatI thought it was bought outrightAmerican Mint does this intentionally to hook the consumer into paying a bill they were unaware was coming.
So, no, I am not paying them anything moreWe are "square" nowIf they want to operate fairly with me, and not disguise offers, we can do businessHow many people would they get to accept their offer, if it was done without tricks? I think they might be surprised at the number But they do it their way to get people hooked, and then work the collections angle.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The truth is "American Mint" is using deceptive practices and they took advantage of an year old retired business teacher that lives in a nursing homeThey bait consumers with a good
deal then start sending them merchandise they did not order or did not know they orderedFinally, they entangle the consumer in a web of merchandise receipts, invoices and returns. I attach a file filled the stories of lots of other consumers that are saying the same thing I am about American Mint I also paste below complaints shown right on the The Revdex.com website and these people are all having the same type of problem. At 87, the last thing my mother needs or deserves is a business that tangles her with deception and worry over un-ordered merchandise then sends invoicesNo one should have to put up with a business like thisIt is unethical and it is deception.I can see from the reviews on American Mint that they have been doing this to consumers for many years and I think all the people with similar experience easily proves my case. Without expletives, the best I can say about American Mint, LLC is thieves, scammers, frauds, misrepresenters, avoid any and all complaints, by mail or phoneI've sent an email to you, but stating my case here for the public, hopefullyYour details state read all their infowhich I did, but received an offer/ad/solicitation, regarding what in fact is a FAKE coin, stated to be gold clad, with a dubious number as if it matters to collectors, which I am notI took the offer at $4.99, assuming a great keepsake for my grandsonThere was NO mention of joining a CLUB, or getting coins on approval, which aren't stated ahead of time in shipping, nor can they be returned and any moneys creditedIf I was wealthy, I might have considered continuing, BUT they continued, for awhile, to send mail offers, discount vouchers, then I'd respond with NO, yet they continued to bill my checking account, due to the fact they stated NO personal checks, which would have showed my account # anyhowI'm 73, disabled, live on a very limited SS income, have rent, (about half my check) medical bills, I need groceries, I pay to be transported, pay life insurance premiums, etcI do not collect SSI, welfare, or any other form of aidI usually try to keep $in my checking account for unavoidable expensesThis morning I checked my bank balance, and found A.Mhad withdrawn $yet I haven't received a coin in months, yet they keep stealing about $a month, totalling near $1000, for FAKE coinsThe bank can't or will not do anything to block A.M...A.Mcontinues to ignore all my written resquests to STOP, and it seems my only resolution will be to close my year old bank account, and open another, which will cause me to contact at least SS, for a change in the direct deposit, and, any others with whom I do businessIf any read this beyond Revdex.com people, do all you can to avoid American Mint, LLC

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: This is not what happened! I notified AMERICAN MINT immediately of any problems in a responsible and repectful manner regarding the first coins I never ever received and which were not included with the coins sent me on consignment and returned to them using their Return-Label I never ever received those coins! Speaking with one of their Service Reps in early February 2017, I was assured all of the coins, but one (1), had been returned I went over all of the coins I had ordered and paid for with a check with the Rep and that missing coin was not amongst the ones I still had in my possessionI asked him specifically, and he assured me that there were no problems, all was well, and I was still in good standing with the company! Proof of that is the fact that they sent me an offer in late April to purchase a Donald Trump MEGA coin, which I ordered and paid for by check only to be refused service I have always sought to treat American Mint in a responseful, respectful and responsible manner and seek to be treated in the same manner Proof of the latter is the fact, that I asked them to please not sent me any more orders on consignment, but only those I ordered and paid for with a check!
Warm Regards,
DrErik HS*** *** *** ***PS I wish my complaint be kept on record!

I am writing in reference to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint. Mr. [redacted] placed an order for an introductory item in the Platinum Accented Eagle Replica Collection. Pursuant to the terms of the offer clearly printed on Mr. [redacted]'s order form used to place his order, American Mint sent (1) one 1861...

Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin as an authorized future issue in his collection to preview with no additional obligation to purchase. Mr. [redacted] alleges that he returned the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edi coin using our mailing label but continues to receive monthly invoices for that item. Contrary to this allegation, American Mint never received the return of the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin. American Mint has confirmed that Mr. [redacted] did use our mailing label to have the item shipped back to us. The item was apparently lost in transit back to us. In order to resolve this complaint, American Mint has written off the balance due for the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin as a return not received and we have cleared Mr. [redacted]'s account balance. The relevant facts are as follows. We received an introductory order form in the mail from Mr. [redacted] on January 16, 2018 for a 1933 Gold Double Eagle replica coin. This item is part of the Platinum Accented Eagle Replica Collection. Enclosed for your review is a copy of the order form voluntarily marked up by Mr. [redacted] and returned to American Mint. We received payment of $6.95 via check # [redacted].As offered to the public, an initial order in the collection entitles all orderers to receive future issues in the collection. Specifically, as clearly printed on the form, "By returning this form, you will have the privilege of receiving future issues in the collection through our FREE in-home approval service. No further action is required on your part."Moreover in its "Satisfaction Guarantee" American Mint informs each orderer that they have the right to refuse receipt of future issues. American Mint explains: "You will be billed only for the items you decide to keep. You are under no obligation! If you are not satisfied with any item that is shipped to you, you may send it back within 20 days at our cost for replacement, credit or refund.” Moreover, American Mint points out to each orderer that, “[y]ou can cancel this service at anytime by calling toll-free [redacted].”On January 17, 2018, American Mint instructed its distributor to ship a 1933 Gold Double Eagle commemorative coin along with one (1) 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin as an authorized future issue in the collection. Pursuant to the terms of the public offer, Mr. [redacted] had twenty days to preview the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin for free. He also had the right to cancel the authorized future service at anytime by contacting American Mint at its toll-free number.American Mint did not receive the return of the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin within the free preview period. Since the expiration of the free preview period, American Mint sent Mr. [redacted] monthly invoices for that item. Mr. [redacted] alleges in his complaint that he continues to receive letters from American Mint regarding a coin which he did not order and had returned via our postage paid mailer. As stated above, Mr. [redacted] was sent the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin as an authorized future issue in his collection to preview with no additional obligation to purchase pursuant to the terms clearly printed on his order form. Mr. [redacted] continued to receive monthly invoices for the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin since we never received the return of that item.In response to several telephonic inquiries, American Mint sent Mr. [redacted] a postage paid, self-addressed mailing label to use when returning the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin,Again, American Mint never received the return of the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin. Upon review of the package's tracking details, the package was shipped back but we never received it. The package was apparently lost in transit back to American Mint.In conclusion, Mr. [redacted] placed an order for an introductory item in the Platinum Accented Eagle Replica Collection. Pursuant the terms clearly stated on his order form, he was also sent (1) one authorized future issue, the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin, to preview with no additional obligation to purchase. American Mint has confirmed that Mr. Kessigner did use our mailing label to ship the authorized future issue back to us. However, American Mint never received the return of the 1861 Paquet Double Eagle Archival Edition replica coin. This is why Mr. [redacted] continued to receive monthly invoices. In order to resolve this complaint, American Mint has processed Mr. [redacted]'s account internally as a return not received and we have cleared his account balance. Enclosed is an account cleared letter. Mr. [redacted]'s subscription to the Platinum Accented Eagle Replica Collection was cancelled on January 26, 2018. He was removed from our mailing list on March 5, 2018. Please advise Mr. [redacted] that it takes up to ninety days for all advertisements to completely cease.I trust this resolves the complaint. Please let me know if you need anything further. Thank you for your assistance in settling this matter.Sincerely,Susan D[redacted] Director of Client Services
